Powering a desktop

Mouli2105

Hi there!

I have a setup where I connect a monitor and speakers to my laptop. Now, I am using a power strip(this one to be exact) to supply power to all of them at once. So each plug point has an individual switch. Some of the things that I have observed are:

  • When I plug and power all the components (Laptop, Monitor, Speakers) and try to use my laptop, I can feel a small vibration in my laptop while typing.
  • Even if I plug the laptop and don't power it, I can feel this vibration.

At times, I feel a minute shock as well.

What can I do to prevent this? Do power strips have series/parallel connection?
