Hello, I am doing my first desktop PC build since the Win XP days. I decided it was time to challenge my building skills and make it a video editing/gaming rig with a custom water cooling loop. I unfortunately purchased the original parts last year but ran into health issues and had to put the actual build off until now. That means my GPU is a Zotac Gaming 3080 GEForce Trinity White RTX LHR which is one series back since the current series is now up to 40 series. My loop is (with the exception of the fittings) all Corsair for the the actual components. I do not plan on doing any crazy overclocking (last games I played were on the original Atari 2600 console - I am 56) so I originally was not going to include my GPU in the loop. I realized during my build that if I don't include the GPU now and want to add it later I would probably have to drain the entire system and rip it apart to add the GPU to the loop. That being said, I was on the Corsair website and discovered that the block I really want is no longer available from them and pretty much sold out at their major retailers. The one that I want/need is called the Hydro X XG5 Ventus (I spoke with Corsair's chat support and they told me based on the GPU I have that I needed the Ventus version). I am finding that my secondary option of the XG7 is available even through Amazon so I just might have to settle for that option. Just today I found through a Google search that I might be able to get the XG5 Ventus at Performance-PCs.com but with there being so many sketch sites out there I wanted to do my research before purchasing. I found that there was a similar thread on here asking my same question "Performance-PCs.com Sketch or Not Sketch" but that thread is absolutely ancient as in dating back to btween 2014-2016 and that is why I created this new thread/topic. Can anyone give me their opinion please on the site? Are they legit or trouble? Thank you, WonderWoman

I have always used distilled water and copper blocks with PT Nuke and a Silver Kill Coil Strip. The water has always been crystal clear but I guess they both stain or corrode the copper. I could not get a plane copper block for the RTX4090. What is the best additive for a distilled water, Nickle copper CPU and copper RADs with a Chrome-plated copper GPU? I was not wanting to redo the loop but it seems the radiators need to be replaced. After 10 years they have some small leaks. I just got three of the Corsair Hydro X Series XR7 360mm radiators. I don't recall what the current ones are.

Heyo I want to have a full cover monoblock for an X570 board similar to that of the X570 Aqua (no longer available btw), but the waterblock doesn't exist. Is there some place that I could go to have them make a custom waterblock?

Hello people. I have bought this Ventus GP from MSI. Now i wanted to have a waterblock for it, but i am despirate !! I can not find a Waterblock for this RTX version. Do people have new information for me ? I used it with the NZXT Kraken but it dont work the PBC is different. I have posted a picture of the Ventus GP version. I hope some people have some information of it is the same PBC as a MSI Armor or Gaming version etc or even a link for some waterblocks. Thanks a lot Greets robert

So guys here is the basic jist, I have yet another system coming up. Now to be fairly honest I'm probably not building this at all until volta, that's the most likely way I am going with this. However, I have a number of watercooling concerns I want to address. For the first 3 months I am only going to be cooling the cpu in a custom loop and later adding the gpu as I quite like the look of AIB coolers, but I will eventually take the leap with that too. I wanted you guys to take a look at this parts list, I can assume its probably absolutely terrible and some of you are probably laughing incredibly hard. However I have never so much as touched watercooling before and I'm jumping right in at the deep end. (The case I am going to be using is the CM H500P) My main questions are: Are these parts compatible? I want to use red aurora coolant, opinions? Mounting, I have no idea how to mount any of these, or if mounts are included etc. How many fittings would I need? I just slapped on what ever really. I'm using the ROG board that comes with the mono-block, so no need to advise me to get a CPU block unless the rog one is terrible then please do so? I've heard you need to clean and flush all the parts first? how would I do this? The reservoir says the top should only be used as a fill port, does that mean I can not use it as an inlet? what are the problems with that? Finally advise me on if my mounting order/path is possible if/and/or needs to be corrected The mounting order is as follows. First I want the pump just next to the motherboard, probably about 6cm from the sata ports, underneath it the pump, and the radiator at the top of the case. How would I manage this? Oh and of course the bay reservoir would be fitted in the 5.25" bay, but I'm not sure if I'm going ahead with that 100% yet all depends on your guys advice.

Summary: Looking to cool two systems on one loop in one case. Two GPUs, two CPUs, one Gaming/NAS hybrid, one Office/Media "Workstation" Lite. Is it possible/efficient, what pump should I use, what GPU blocks should I get? Should I even use one loop, or split it into two? Hey Guys, So I'm completely new to custom water cooling, only things I know are what I saw on YouTube, mostly JayzTwoCents, Linus, and Bitwit. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good pump for my rig, which is still in planning stages of its cooling. I plan to liquid cool two CPUs and two GPUs on a single loop, using a Phanteks Enthoo Mini XL chassis to house two different systems: The first is my gaming/NAS combo running off an mATX (I'm debating using an mITX for better airflow, sacrificing expandability) board with an i7-8700k hexcore and (hopefully) 1080 or 1080ti. This one's going to be hooked up to a 2560x1440 165Hz monitor and a 2560x1080 144Hz simultaneously. The second is an mITX board with an i5-6400 quad core and GTX 1050/1050ti for general use, but focused on office and media. This one will be hooked up to two 2560x1440 165Hz monitors simultaneously Now, of course I'm not sure what kind of pump is powerful enough for this rig, or if even cooling the whole system on one loop is efficient, given they'll both usually be running simultaneously, and I have no idea what to do for the GPUs either. For CPU waterblocks, I was thinking about using (pardon my near-direct quoting) EK Supremacy EVO Acetal + Nickel Original QSC blocks for both CPUs and an EK DBay D5 MX Acetal as my reservoir. Now, for the GPU blocks, I'm not sure where to start. Do all blocks work the same? I looked on EK's website, and some of them say "1080". Does that mean compatible with all 1080 cards, is it a model number, etc.? And what about the 1050? Any advice is appreciated, considering I've never worked with custom loops before, and have zero practice doing this. Thanks in advance guys, y'all are always a huge help

Hi Guys, So I plan on water cooling my setup and I would like to keep everything the same brand. The problem is that EK have discontinued their water block for the R9 nano and I'm having a lot of difficulty finding it elsewhere. Any help would be very much appreciated, I don't mind paying extra if needs be. THANKS!

Does anyone own the waterblock mentioned in the title? I want to know if the VRAMS get hot, because it says they are "passively cooled", and that raises some concerns imo. Thanks.-

Hi all, I have noticed that the nickel plating on my Corsair xc7 water block is turning a brownish color. i have had distilled water in my loop for a little over a week but have only ran the pump for 8 hours. This is my first water cooling build. so I’m not sure what could be going on. I’m not to happy with how it looks now. I have a couple ideas but maybe someone with more experience can help. 1. I’m somehow getting corrosion from mixed metals (copper nickel brass) 2. Bio growth or some other coating. 3.oxidation of the nickel coating Also I was curious if this was just an issue with the Corsair blocks or all nickel plated blocks. I expected some nickel blemishes but not after a week. I was planning on flushing the distilled water. Running fresh distilled water then flushing that batch and putting in Corsairs coolant. Would that be a good path forward?

I found this GPU waterblock on AliExpress, and it looks legit, but I can't tell, and at that price it's quite expensive for just a block. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/BYKSKI-Water-Block-use-for-Sapphire-Radeon-R9-Fury-Nitro-4GB-HBM-11247-03-Full-Cover/32861299461.html

Not sure if this has been posted yet but I think this is pretty cool. EKWBs now has a custom configuration system for finding fittings, blocks and the supplies you'll need to do your loop (hard tube or soft tube). I ran my system through there and came out with a cart full of tools and pieces totaling about $800 for a hard tube loop which is like 100 less than loop I priced out on my own. The coolest part by far is probably the fact it asks what case you have. Not so sure how much it takes this into consideration beyond just radiator mount points. I can't imagine they run that through a database that has a "res mount points" field so that might be a problem in some cases. https://www.ekwb.com/custom-loop-configurator/

Just looking for some opinions on a good selling price for 2 GTX 970's with Nvidia reference coolers and EK Full CSQ waterblocks. I've sold a few parts here and there on ebay and craigslist, but nothing of this caliber. I was thinking around ~$700 total, but don't want to waste too much time listing the parts in case there value deprecates. Any selling tips or past experiences with selling PC hardware would be awesome. Thanks, TidaLWaveZ

Hello all. Ran across this site and was looking at a few posts, But i have some questions, My main question is i have a GTX Titan black signature superclocked. I recently built a water cooling build (Here) and was looking to add a water block to it as well as hard tubing to give it a cleaner look. My main question is everywhere i go everything says a 780TI water block will fit on a gtx titan black. So will this one (here) fit? I like the acrylic look just because i like to see the liquid as a personal thing. So was wondering if that block would work or if i should look into others? I thank you for your help on that issue Now for my other question (Might be the wrong section. Probably is) I'm looking at converting this build i currently have into a acrylic hard tube build. I personally love the look of a hard tube build. Now. I have a bunch of G1/4 Compression fittings on my build (And some extra from my build) Will i need to ditch these to go full acrylic. I know i will need to add more fittings, a lot more of different types. I understand normal tubing pretty well. But hard tubing is completely different to me. Anything you guys could help with would be Really. Really apreciated. (I plan on going from Tank to GPU, then GPU to CPU, CPU to radiator then radiator to my tank. Even if you can't help, I thank you for your time.

Hello, I am new to water cooling and wanted advice on thermal pads. I watched several youtube videos on how to install a gpu waterblock and they all say the provided thermal pads from e.g. EK suck compared to certain after market brands. Will I be fine just using what EK provides?

Hi, so im going to be getting this water loop http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-307-XS&groupid=962&catid=1532 But i still need GPU blocks, i have 2 780's an EVGA 780 SC ACX and a Gigabyte windforce 3X OC what water blocks can i use? are they both reference designs once the coolers are off? if so can i use any reference water blocks for them? shall i get a second of the same RAD or will they be ok on just the one??? ATM the CPU (i7 4790K) is cooled by a H100i and the temps dont go past 55c on load but the GPUs get hot, the top card EVGA get to 80 quick and the bottom card gigabyte gets into the high 60s low 70s. i have a custom fan curve for when they hit 79c, but it gets loud! Thanks for the help

What water blocks can i use to water cool IT     -
Lately i got more and more intressted into watercooling But then i realized that all big youtubers like Linus himself and JayzTwoCents with SkungWorks do watercooling wrong They use radiators, massive ones and still can't keep the temps below 50'C. Why do they use massive radiators anyway, they simply use aircooling on the radiators with water transporting the heat. And as you can see, it is very expensive and you still don;t get below 40'C. Originally watercooling was done with 5 or 10 or sometimes even 50 litre resavoirs. And having so much water will cool any pc and the water won;t even heat up a lot. Also resavoirs are so expensive as well, they cost like 20 to 50$ for 500ml, and it is still plastic, i could take a small water bootle for 1$ and have the same amount of volume. A 10 litre one would be a huge cooking pod, costs like 15$. Since water cooled pc's are mostly not supposed to move anyway, a 10 litre resavoir would not be much trouble. And for aesthetics painting that thing is stil possible.

Hey guys, today I sold my R9 295x2 in hopes of buying a Titan X Hybrid, of course just my luck they were all sold out. I cant wait so what I might do is just buy a superclocked Titan x and watercool it because I loved the appearance and functionality of a liquid cooled card, of course I would make a loop, if I knew how.. I have a Corsair 750D so space really isn't much of an issue and I really just need you guys to link me parts and a video of how to build a loop, and of course a few helpful tips from you sexy fuggers. I already have my CPU cooled by an NZXT Kraken x61 so 240mm of my top radiator mounting options is depleted, so all that's really left is the back of the cases rad mount 140mm/120mm or the 360mm radiator mounting options in the front. I also have a max budget for the cooling for around 200 dollars or less. It doesn't need to be crazy, just a simple loop that looks great and is small for my graphics card, thanks guys. heres a dank meme for your troubles.
