Waiting for Samsung g7 32 for a few months now! Looking for that HDR600 and 1ms goodness with gsync and preferably VA contrast. Only one other monitor that caught my attention was the LG 27GN950B. I am still a bit confused between that va contrast and 4k clarity for media consumption and reading ebooks, web browsing etc. I currently have a 1080p 21.5" IPS. So the ppi is very good and blurry texts do affect me very much. So on that point LG is the clear winner. But for everything else Samsung seems to be the better choice. To be honest I mostly play AAA Graphics heavy games , not a competitive fps player myself! What attracts me towards the Samsung is that smooth response time and that va contrast and hdr performance but then again 2k on 32" vs 4k on 27". And I don't think I can reach substantially more than 144fps with games like Cyberpunk or even Witcher 3 ,RDR2, AC Valhalla games like that. Have a rtx 2070 and will be upgrading to 3080 when available at normal prices or maybe will wait for the 4080. And afaik running games at 1440p on a 4k monitor dosen't look good so that will be a downside and 4K gaming even with RTX 3080 or 4080 for that matter won't be very smooth for AAA sight seeing games at ultra settings on 4K. So between that crystal clear paper looking 4K IPS and the High Contrast VA which one should I buy!

I need a motherboard for my Ryzen 5 3600 build, all the X570 are sold out right now, but I just heard they are dropping the B550 motherboard here in just a few weeks. should I grab up a X570 when they become available or wait for the B550

I am planning on getting the RX 5700 XT - I am thinking of either the Sapphire nitro+ or the Red Devil. I'm honestly leaning towards the Sapphire. Any one have any experience with either or could recommend a better brand of this GPU?

I am in a class at school the deals with a wide range of technology subjects and we recently received a grant to purchase a grant to purchase an HTC Vive and build a custom PC. This PC will be used to run a few VR apps that are educational and can be used in the classroom so no games and all of this will be on the HTC Vive. Some members of the class and I made a list a few months back listing all the computer parts that we would purchase but since Ryzen and Kabylake just came out, it was outdated. As we updated the list I suggested one of the new Ryzen processors instead of going with a 7700k since I know the performance of the new Ryzen processors was quite adequate compared to some Intel CPUs (Note that we do have a limited amount of money so keeping the cost down with performance is key). When I suggested this I was quickly turned down because of a various number of reasons some I didn't fully understand and didn't want to debate to sound stupid. Some of the reasons include: the school would image the computer and it apparently would not work with the AMD CPU since all other CPUs in the school are Intel, Intel processors had more IPCs which is apparently key when it comes to VR games, all games were designed for Intel processors so they could be glitchy and crash on AMD, and also there is a stigma among the members of the class members when it came to AMD because their friends had AMD rigs and they were very unreliable. I assume that the one member of my classroom that was heavily arguing me on this had yet to look at the specs of the new Ryzen processors and was just set in his ways. I do not have a preference for either or mind being wrong on this issue but I want to pick the best CPU that will preform best and last for a long time for the purpose we need it for and I don't have the technical knowledge to really prove anything sadly. So are these reasons valid and Intel's 7700K is a better choice and should we stick to that processor or is there a better option? Thanks for enlightening me with your knowledgeable responses Also, it might be helpful to say that we are using an 1070 for our GPU.

Is it worth it to get a Pentium G4560 over a Core i3-7100 for half the price? I'm building a gaming PC and I was going to buy an i3-7100 (until I can afford an i7), but now, after watching a few benchmarks, I'm really curious about the G4560. I just plan to game, do homework and web browsing (Netflix, YouTube, Facebook) for now. The other components are a B250 motherboard, an RX 480x4GB of VRAM and 2 sticks x8GB of RAM.

Well, I'm building my first gaming PC and a friend of mine is offering me these CPU coolers for the exact same price (also, very cheap), which one should I choose? Now I'm going to buy a Core i3-7100, but I plan to get a Core i7-7700K in the next 1 or 2 years, and the case is a Corsair Carbide SPEC-Alpha. I wanna know what are the main differences between Deepcool Lucifer K2 and V2: http://www.gamerstorm.com/product/CPUAIRCOOLER/2016-03/1287_4930.shtml and http://www.gamerstorm.com/product/CPUAIRCOOLER/2016-03/1287_4929.shtml. Probably I won't be installing these on the i3 rig, since that CPU doesn't need that much cooling, it would be a waste of time. But I do want to buy one now simply because my friend is giving me them so cheap.

Okay, well... Hello! How are you? Meh? Great. So... I need a new PC. I currently own an old Laptop (Toshiba Satellite C660 series) with an i5-2430m (that's 2 cores, 4 threads, 2,4GHz, ranking 435th with 37% on userbenchmark.com, Intel Graphics HD 3000) and I upgraded the RAM a little while ago from 6Gb to 8Gb and... that's it. Now the screen's broken, the keyboard defunct... yeah. Now I plan on getting myself a new one or rather an actual Desktop, ya know? See, I'd use it for all kinds of things, really. Multi-tab browsing (with quite a few youtube-tabs), office, gaming (And yes I did game on my current one... played AC 1 through at 12fps, HA! Try to top that... whyever you'd want to...), digital painting, rudimentary 3D-modeling, 2D-game-engine-eering ;P, etc. Now, since I'm an amateur at best and a bumbling idiot at worst, I plan on using a PC-Configurator on one site or the other (tested three, pretty much already know which one.) So the only thing left for me to decide is: What do I want? See, I have the wide spread budget-problem. So, I need to decide: Do I want a really good CPU but no GPU? Or do I want a not-so-meh CPU (Still better than my current one) with a 1050 Ti. The CPUs I decided on (though not necessarily my first choices — downside of configurators) are: CPU w/o GPU i5-7600K — +163% performance* (here I would have also gone with an i3-7350K but, well...) CPU w/ GPU Pentium G4560 — +66% performance* In the end these configs cost about the same and I can't go over. (~645 EUR). So, my question now is still: What do I want? Please tell me. TL;DR What's better? i5-7600K solo or Pentium G4560 w/ GTX 1050Ti? ...or should I wait for Ryzen? Thanks in advance for the help! ~TheMemory * I base those numbers on userbenchmark.com

Hi, my friend told me about Sophos antivirus and i use Avast Free antivirus. my plan is to see which one is better for my home computer use. i do work on computers for friends and i will still be using avast as it does not require an account. Sophos is nice because it allows me to start full system scans remotely from the website. but the question is which one is better. i am willing to try it at least so either way i am going to move away from avast for a little while anyway but still. Any opinions?

Sapphire Nitro+ vs. Asus RoG Strix RX 480 8GB: Which one's better? Which one would you buy? Vote and justify! In my opinion, RoG Strix is more appealing, but according to both Asus's and Sapphire's websites, Nitro+ has higher OC. What do you think?

It's 1,000 times better to live in Texas than South Africa and Nevada. However, I don't think there's a place better than South Africa to vacation. At the same time, South Africa is one of the worst places to actually reside. Where is the best place to live? Where is the best place to vacation?

Hi Everyone. Came on to ask a simple question. All Opinions are Welcomed!!!! You can go into as much DETAIL for your choice as you wish. This will help me to establish a choice. Tried finding some Youtube Videos. But can't really find any good ones with a clear choice, so decided to ask the Community. I have a Gaming Headset. A Razer ManO'War Headset. ManO'War Headset LINK It's beautiful on my head. Sound's phenomenal and it allows me to chat with my friends via Discord while Gaming. BUT... I can't stand awful Gaming Headsets. It's one after another. I've gone through 3 Headsets in the last year alone. And this headset is getting to this point. So I was thinking of dropping about $200 on an Audio Setup. Mainly for Gaming. I'm not a Youtuber or Twitch Streamer. The Audio Setup Gear - Audio-Technica AT2020 Cardioid Condenser Studio Microphone - Wanway Microphone Stand + Shock Mount + Pop Filter, Mic Microphone Studio Broadcast Suspension Boom Scissor Arm Stand Holder Etc... - BEHRINGER U-Phoria UMC22 (Links Below for ALL 3) Mic Stand + Holder ETC... BEHRINGER Now I ask this question... Is it better to use a Gaming Headset for Gaming/Streaming/Audio/Chat? OR Buy and Setup an Audio Setup for Gaming/Streaming/Audio/Chat?

I'm trying to build a gaming PC on my Aorus X570 Master and as such I'm trying to get the most speed for my games by choosing the right storage solution. Leveraging speed and price (favoring speed slightly) which is better, why (The more in-depth to help me understand, the better.), and what would be your purchase suggestions? I already have a Seagate Barracuda 1TB M.2 NVME as my core drive for my OS and such. My main problem right now, is that most benchmarks and comparisons I've come across are years old and/or use slower software RAID configurations, where-as I would plan on using a hardware solution such as amazon.com/gp/product/B07JQRFBHV . I'm seeing a lot talking about M.2 NVME RAIDs actually suffering a performance LOSS when in RAID 0, so I don't plan on setting up a RAID with those. Another major problem I'm facing is the price and scarcity of 15k SAS HDDs and SAS SSDs in the storage range I'm looking at (approx 1TB per drive) to actually use with the controller I linked. So trying to take advantage of the faster SAS speeds is proving... daunting. Again, the more detailed you can be on 'why' you're making a particular suggestion, the better. It would be immensely appreciated.

I was doing some browsing online, and came across one of Intel's newest CPU's. It was a Xeon Phi Processor 7295 with 72 cores at 1.5 GHz. I know it's not necessarily designed for gaming but with that many cores, one as wondering what it could do. CPU's are for multitasking information purposes where GPU's are for only graphics calculations and rendering right? Why couldn't this 72 core CPU do the same as say a 4 core 8 thread CPU and 1080 GPU? Is this possible or would there be hardware restrictions?

I will be overclocking with my CPU, since my CPU has very nice overclockability, as well as my mobo having very high heat resistance. THe question is in the title, it doesn't make sense. Unless the 6700k is better for some reason that I'm not aware of.

Sooo GTX 960 out for sale yesterday... And the R9 280x beat it out in a lot of game benchmarks... Is this because of new drivers or does the R9 280x really beat it out? Second, I am building a. Oculus DK2 build for a friend. Since the R9 280x has 3GB GDDR5, and the 960 has 2GB, would that affect its performance in VR? And which is the better card for the Oculus in general? I'm curious what the LTT forums think. Here are the two GPUs: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-r9280xdc2t3gd5 http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvn960g1gaming2gd

I've been thinking of upgrading some of my peripherals and I can't make heads or tails of which mouse to get I'm thinking of the Deathadder or Naga (chroma) I know that the naga is wireless and is smaller (which is good since I've mostly used smaller mouses) but the Deathadder is cheaper and doesn't add any mor useless buttons I DON'T NEED, but is wired (which might not be as a big as a problem than I think. Plz help MRE

So first of this is mainly a bang for the buck scenario so I'm wondering if the $30+ worth the slightly better audio but I do prefer the build quality of the cloud so I'm leaning toward that. But I want to know if that is the right chose.

Which is better, the Seagate hybrid drives or the WD black the black is more expensive but I belive it performs better so which is better.

Most people say that the Intel i7 5820K is superior but the i7 5930K from what it is looks like the i7 5930K is *WAY-BETTER* in overclocking so post your opinions on if you still think about the prossecors and if the i7 5820K is still worth the money

OK so i am building a new pc and I was leaning toward the MSI R9 390 GAMING 8G, but then i saw the MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G and i was wondering what one I should buy and why. And the pros and cons between them. Thanks for the help! If it helps this is my current build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/yZscsY feel free to comment on this to.
