As the title says, i have enabled expo and now on every boot i get vga light even though my display is working properely. Now i do see some longer boot times and display is hte last thing that turns on. Other than that, there are no problems with the pc. My mobo is asus tuf b650 plus wifi and ram is g.skill trident z5 neo 6000mhz cl32. Have enyone encountered this issue or knows what to do to fix it?

I build my PC a few days ago, and it worked fine for about a day but then froze out of nowhere. I restarted it, and then the VGA light turned on and remained on with no display, sometimes having the boot light on at the same time. I’ve tried checking all the cables, I reseated the GPU, replaced the GPU with another one (the fans and rgb turned on with both), tried the GPU’s in a separate PC which worked fine, swapped hdmi cables, swapped the pcie cables, and even replaced the entire motherboard with no avail. The on-board graphics work fine. I plugged my hdmi cable into the mobo and I can actually use it, indicating that the hdmi cable works fine. My theory is that it is some sort of cable or PSU issue, but I just can’t figure out what it is. specs: CPU: Intel i5 13600k Mobo: ROG Strix z790-A Gaming WiFi D4 Ram: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2 x 16gb 3600MHz CL18 GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 2TB PSU: Corsair RM1000x

Hello! First up my PC specs are : -Ryzen 5 5600 -VEGA 56 gigabyte -Gigabyte aorus ultra gaming x470 bios version F61 -2x 8GB 3200mhz ddr4 ram -500gb samsung evo 970, 250gb sata ssd, 2TB HDD that I took out.. -600W PSU I got 2 monitors connected usually, HDMI and DP 1.4 Latest Windows 11 version So about 2 days ago my PC randomly restarted when I was playing a game, I saw that the rgb in my PC turned off and on again as if it tries to restart. The red led on the mainboard switched a few times from CPU to dram and after 3 times to vga. I had a blackscreen for the whole process and it continued to be a blackscreen. I was able to boot into windows 11 tho, because I heard the windows 11 sign in sound in my headphones. I restarted again, reconnecting the monitor cables to my GPU and it worked for about 2mins before restarting and going into a black screen again. I then reseated the GPU, tried again and nothing. Using a different DP port on my gpu and nothing. Only using hdmi and nothing. I also tried to use the different pcie slot I had on my mainboard but nothing happened, in all of those scenarios it stayed with the red vga light but boots into windows 11. So I took my GPU out disconnecting all the cables from my psu and connecting them all back and also reseating the GPU again and it WORKED for about 10mins before restarting and blackscreening, in that time I updated my gpu driver in hopes that it would fix it but no. I then took out a HDD that has been someone faulty before and acting up, started the pc and it worked for about 30mins, in that time I tried to benchmark my gpu with furmark and it worked 100% GPU usage, stable at 57C while pulling 220W, for about 20mins before I closed the benchmark to start a different benchmark and it restarted again and black screened. I also tried to only start with 1 RAM stick but I had a blackscreen again. I now am out of ideas and have no idea how to fix this, I recently changed the thermal paste on my GPU (about 3 weeks ago) and everything was working perfectly. Is my GPU broken or is it something else? I mean my GPU was working when I was able to get into windows 11 without a blackscreen. I sadly dont have any spare GPU to try out and dont have anyone close to me that could test my GPU etc. (Not sure if I posted this in the right forum, the problem is somewhat gpu related i guess)

Hello, I have a Asus ROG Strix pre-built machine (GA35DX) with the below specs: Motherboard - X570 (AMD Chipset) CPU - AMD Ryzen 9 5900X - dual fan AIO cooling from Asus. RAM - XPG 2x16 GB DDR4 3200 (recently upgraded from the stock Asus single stick 16GB DDR4 2666) GPU - RTX 3080 10GB PSU - 700 watts Gold (non modular) Dual monitor setup: Primary - 32 inch Asus VG32VQR (2560x1440, 165Hz) - connected via DP Secondary - 27 inch MSI G27C6 (1920x1080, 144Hz) - connected via HDMI The problem I am facing from the last 2 weeks is that while playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare II at Ultra settings with 2560x 1440 screen resolution(no DLSS), the machine suddenly restarts without any error on the screen. I noticed the VGA light on the motherboard turns Red and then White and the machine restarts. I even tried to lower the settings to High, Normal and Recommended within the game, still the machine restarts after few hours of playing. This happens for all the titles that I am playing recently like Red Dead Redemption and FarCry6. I thought the machine might be overheating so I removed the dust from all the vents and fans, still the same. I even removed all the connections and reconnected just that there is no loose connection, still the same. I doubt the RTX 3080 GPU is faulty, but if the GPU is faulty, then the system might not even boot or allow me to load any game. (my thoughts and I might be wrong) Please help me with the solution to this issue as I am really frustrated and I am lost the enthusiasm to play any game on the desktop as I don't want to ruin it further. Thank you in advance and hoping a solution from the experts out here.

I've just finished my new PC build. Visually all components seems to be working, however there is no signal to my monitor and a solid red light is showing for VGA on the motherboard. I did notice that the CPU light on the debug indicator comes on for 3-4 seconds when I turn the PC on but then goes off and the VGA light comes on solid and stays on so I think the problem lays there. * PARTS * CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600x CPU: Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer 280 GPU: Palit GeForce RTX 3060 Dual OC 12GB Mobo: MSI MAG B550M Mortar NO WIFI RAM: G.SKILL Aegis 16GB (2x8GB) Case: COUGAR Gemini S SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 2.5 250GB HDD: Western Digital 1TB 7200rpm PSU: 650W ASUS TUF Gaming, 80+ Bronze I've tested the GPU on my old PC and when I've first plugged it in and turned on PC, ''GEFORCE'' Logo on it light up and worked perfectly...howerer when i plug it in my new PC GPU LOGO is not lighting up....only the fans start spinning and like i've said above after the CPU light, VGA light comes and stays. Any ideas, thanks?

Hi, I'm first-time PC building here and struggling some issue My monitor it won't displaying anything after once attempted of re-install M.2, I was about to finish building my PC, at that time every thing works perfectly fine(monitor is displaying well), until I did see the screen shown that M.2 is not detected so I turned everything off and unplugged power cord and tried re-install the M.2 at that moment one of my fingers had a little touched on GPU that the metal side-up and feel a little shocked( I didn't take the GPU off so the gaps between them very steep) after that I plugged everything and turned PC to see if my M.2 is detected but something else has happened my monitor it won't display anything and show messages "display-port no signal" and EZ DEBUG LED is lit up on vga section (yellow one), could it possible that I harmed my GPU with that shocked and also my floor is carpet. I see the all the fans are still spinning including CPU's cooler and GPU's fan and RGB from RAM and CPU's cooler is still light up. What I've tried and it doesn't work - use other port other than GPU to connect monitor from Motherboard (was tried every single hole that I can push hdmi, mini-display, display) and it keeps show the same message "no signal" - take the battery off Motherboard 5-10 minutes put it back unplugged every thing and grounded yourself - reinstall GPU Please I need help, all I need it just to get the monitor screen comes up and install windows 10 Video <<

Hey guys, having some issue with my newly adopted 3080. My specs are a Z490 Tomahawk, 10700KF, RTX 3080, 16GB Vengeance Pro RGB, RM850x. So this issue is ; I purchased a Gigabyte 3080 Vision OC LHR to upgrade my 2070S a month ago and it won't post with the 3080 in the top PCIe x16 slot, it posts/games fine in the bottom PCIe x4 slot. But here's the funky part, I've confirmed my 3080 works in 4 other PC's (x2 Gen 3.0 PC's, x2 Gen 4.0 PC)... But I've also confirmed my other parts are working as I've had a 2070S, 1650, 970 AND another 3080 in my PC working fine! The things I've tried so far ; ●Updating BIOS ●Downgrading BIOS ●Factory Defaults in BIOS ●Clearing CMOS for x hours ●Jumping CMOS ●Firmware update (not BIOS) on my 3080 ●Reseated all components ●Had all components out in a test bench build with only vitals connected ●Brand new RAM (16GB Corsair Vengeance) ●Tried RAM in different configurations ●Brand new PSU (RM850X) ●Checked CPU for bent pins/paste ●Made sure no grounding issues in the case ●Cleaned PCIe slots ●Un-tightened MOBO/AIO screws incase of a mounting pressure issue ●Update Intel Chipset Drivers ●Changed BIOS to PCIe Gen 3/2/1/Auto ●ReBAR on/off ●Removed all HDDs/SSDs/M.2 ●Safe mode DDU drivers 3 times ●Windows 11/10 There's probably more stuff, but I can't remember atm. The VGA light is lit up white on my mobo, indicating an issue but what could that issue be? It's as if my motherboard has forgotten what my 3080 is...Gigabyte logo lights up & all 3 GPU fans spin I briefly remember this being a thing with 3060s/3080Ti models, but what options am I left with on a non Ti model? I've already attempted an RMA on the GPU and they've come back saying it works...which it does! Intel have given me some software checks & sent off logs to them, all which come back working perfectly. I'm struggling to understand what the issue is here, as ALL components are working in different configurations, just not mine! Any help is GREATLY appreciated right now, thank you

I have a rtx 3060 with an ASUS b450f II board and 5600x cpu. I built it last year and it has been working perfectly up until now. Today both my monitors went black at the same time, and my computer does not seem to sense my gpu. My motherboard's VGA light is on, even though my gpu lights are on. I have removed my gpu and put it back in to see if it was a connection issue, and nothing changed. Does anyone know what could cause my graphics card/mother board to behave this way?

Hi all. I recently got a new motherboard, CPU, PSU, and Graphics card. I got everything plugged in and set up but when I try to boot it up with a USB that has windows 10, the CPU light comes on, then the VGA light, then the computer crashes. It just loops the process after that. I am about to take out the graphics card to make sure it is seated properly, but everything is showing up in BIOS, it just can't boot.

Good Morning, Recently I ran into an issue with my desktop PC of where the VGA light is on and is (now) preventing boot. 2 weeks ago I noticed a VGA light and about a 4-5 minute boot time. I figured, "Oh, it must be drivers" so I updated my drivers and still the same issue. I ignored it and lived with the 5 minute boot for about a week. I went out of town a few days later and when I returned the VGA light is always on, prevents boot and no screen output with NO ability to get to BIOS. I ventured on my own troubleshooting steps. - Drivers - Updates - BIOS Update - Removal of GPU, Cleaning, and Re-Installation - CMOS Reset - NVME Removal - Verified GPU works in another rig - Used a different known good boot drive When I removed my NVME drive I was able to enter BIOS with the GPU installed. I moved the NVME drive into another slot and was able to see a message saying "SAMSUNG 970EVO500GB NOT_FOUND" or similar, I put it back into its original slot and ran back into the issues. I got a Windows Error of "0x00000e" then it would enter a boot loop with the NVME installed in Slot 1 instead of Slot 0 I bought a new NVME SSD (970 EVO+ 1TB) that I verified works with an image of Win 10. Still nothing, I'm truly at a loss and looking for any help. Ok so when I bought the pc the ram did not work, I had to use different ram and update bios and 5hen use the current ram. So I started to get a weird humming buzz sound when playing games, I could not find a fix so I took the whole thing apart and it was dusty to say the least I cleaned everything and put it all back into its place, and now the ram gives me dram light again When I oluf a single stick into a1 I get no dram light but i5 holds on vga and then goes to boot and stays. I have a Samsung evo 970 with windows on it, it was booting fine prior to the reassembly, did I reset something? Specs are reyz3n 3600x Gigabyte 1080ti oc black Msi gaming edge wifi mobo Ante truwpower Quattro 850 psu Viper st3el series 3000mhzx24gb8x3 Samsungevo970 500gb Remember prior to this all happening I had a weird buzzing sound when I opened fortnite, i5 worked fine, and then I kicked the settings to low and it started making the sound. When I kicked back up, it auto switched to sync cap at 60fps? So I switched it all back to what it was and the soundnpersisted in all games. Yes I did restore to 2 days ago. Need fix now now. I have tournaments to play.

This has been driving me crazy since yesterday. I temperately unplugged my main gpu for a test (or rather the riser cable from the motherboard as it was vertical mounted for space requirements.), and then my computer suddenly refused to boot! Even when I plugged the riser cable back in it still didn't work. When I boot, The troubleshooting light gets stuck on VGA, and it starts a beep code I haven't been able to find online. (2 beeps, a pause, and then 4 beeps. All the same duration) I did manage to get it to boot once, after plugging a gpu in and out over and over, but on reboot it didn't boot again. I have tried: Mounting (every) gpu without a riser cable Checking each individual ram stick in each memory slot Unplugging all the gpus but one (trying each individually) Checking each gpu (and a GTX 950 as well, making 4 total cards tested) in every slot. Unplugging the ssd and hdd Resetting CMOS... numerous times The error is the same with no gpus plugged in as well. I can only assume the motherboard cannot detect the gpus and won't boot because of it. Is the motherboard somehow broken? Specs: Ryzen 7 2700x G.Skill 2 by 8gb 3200 Gigabyte x470 Aorus Ultra Gaming (such a stupid name) GTX 1080ti & two R7 250x Samsung 970 Evo 250gb Seagate 2tb Drive 750W PSU I am completely out of ideas... Any help is appreciated.
