Hello, I have an H170-Gigabyte Gaming-3 LGA1151 motherboard, and it keeps turning itself on. I have an i5 6600k, and an EVGA GTX 1060. If you need any more specs or details, I have them. The problem is that my computer keeps turning itself on after I turn it off, so I have to turn it off by the power supply or unplug it. I checked and I don't have power schedules or wake on LAN enabled, so please help me so I can fix this problem. Have a good day. Does anyone know how/if i can put linx (or a different program) on a Xbox 360 external hard drive after wiping it?

Hello , This is my first post ever and I'm not a native english speaker so I'll do my best to explain myself. Yesterday I tryed to clean my brother's pc. Cleaning dust ect. So I turned it off and cleaned the dust (without disconecting anything on the inside). When I plugged it back again It did not turned on, I disconected the 24pin from the motherboard an cleaned it, while conecting it again all the lights on the pc and the cpu fan lighed up for a second. It's not turning on it seems like its dirty or something but I'm not sure. If I have the 24pin midway and in some specific spot the fans and everything start blinking, like having electricity one sec and not the next one. I hope someone could help me with this since is my brothers pc (I gift from me to him ) and I was just trying to be nice. I think it migth be corrosion on one of the conectors since it looks a little yellow from the outside. If that is the case how do I clean the pins? I Already confirmed that the power supply works , with the clip method. Thanks Hope my English is not that bad.

Hey everyone, As you can see by the title i have a rear exhaust case fan that won't switch off unless i turn my PC off with the switch on the psu... I'm not sure how long this has been happening although I'm pretty sure it's since I put my NZXT Hue+ kit into my pc... Any suggestions or idea's would be greatly appreciated as i have no idea what is going on... Cheers, Hodge

Ok.. I haven't used my iphone 4 in a while... I got it last year for the OS experience But I have a offbrand charger. I have had this baby lying around, last use maybe about a month ago. When I plug it in.. even for about 10+ minutes it still only shows the battery low screen, in which it doesn't boot.. normally it would boot from a dead battery in 5- minutes from plugin.. What is the issue??

When i press the start button on my case my pc fans and everything turns on like normal. but after a few 1-3 sec it just turns off. it stays off for like 1-2 secs, and then automatically boots again and everything is normal. This did not happen on my old PC (changed motherboard,cpu,cooling,case). Is this normal or could it be a problem?

So your computer keeps crashing/turning off randomly or in a pattern(every 30 min)... This is not good and there are lots of reasons why... 0: Before we even start make sure you have a LEGAL copy of Windows and that it is fully registered.(Microsoft with Windows 8 turns it self off every hour if you don't have a LEGAL registered OS) to check Click start -----> right click computer ------> click properties -------> look under Windows activation. This can solve your problem. 1: check your computers temperature using CoreTemp. if the temperature never goes above 80 C then this isn't your problem, but if its in the 60-70 range I would start to worry. If it does then your problem is that your computer is shutting down due to overheating. 2: If your temps are working restart windows and go into BIOS mode. Leave it. If it does not crash when in this mode then re-install or repair your Operating system and run a Virus checker because that means its software related/ could be. 3: if your computer still does not work then update your BIOS, warning this can destroy your motherboard if it shuts down while updating, or if you use the wrong one. If its a custom made, then get it from the Motherboard site, if its pre-made then make sure its from the site of the guys who made it.(Dell for example) Also Make a backup and you will need a flash drive. 4. If it still does not work then it is Hardware related. Check for short outs, and any damage on the motherboard. Then run a test on the RAM, PSU, and Motherboard.(In that order, it is very unlikely to be the Motherboard). Then get that part replaced. 5. if it still does not work get professional help.(Not from any from or the Internet, but from someone who comes to your house to take a look at it.)

I recently traveled home from uni with my computer and now it seems that my computer has been damaged in transit. When I got home it was pissing it down with rain so I had to carry it though with a towel over it but I still think some water might have gotten in, I doubt that is the main cause of any problems but it happened. None of the hardware in the PC is different from when I was at uni. I don't see how it could be an overheating issue considering nothing has changed and I haven't had any problems with overheating in this PC before. It mainly seems to turn off when I'm playing games but it has been turning off while watching videos on youtube or just being on chrome with mumble open talking to friends. I left it on doing nothing today for at least 3 hours without any issues though. I'm going to get some compressed air after xmas (I pretty much can't get out to get some till then) so I can properly clean the fans etc. but I'm convinced something else has gone wrong other than overheating. Any help would be appreciated.

So I was bored one night, and totally took apart my Xbox 360 because I am a PC gamer. Its an old Xbox 360 white console. Nothing special. So within my boredom. I decided to look into a project of turning it into a computer. But I've got no idea where to start, and/or finish. So I was wondering from you all, if this whole project is even plausible. I've sort of looked it up online and read that basically this is only possible through Linux. My final idea is to turn this thing into a fully function computer. (I know it won't be powerful but I think this will be fun) I can include any picture you all want, etc. I'm just kind of on here asking if anybody on here has every done, or completed something like this. I am a long time user of Google Chrome and absolutely love it. I show Chrome off to my friends and family demonstrating the speed at which the browser pops up and the way the browser is intertwined with an android phone. I have tried to use different variants of Firefox but they all have limitations. For example, while I was using WaterFox, Battlelog just refused and said it didn't recognize the browser. When I tried to use the vanilla version of Firefox the browser is slow to open (compared to chrome). Now its time to discuss the reason why I am making this post. During the past couple months features that worked on chrome perfectly fine, no longer function. The first of my complaints is the 'Recent Tabs'. On the older version of chrome in the bottom right hand corner of the 'New Tab' page, which is simple to access and worked. Now I am just going to list off the issues relating to it to make this a shorter post and to stop the chance of a full blown rant. They implemented a keyboard short cut (Crtl + Shift+ T) to bring up the last closed tab, but it is more random than a Bing search result. The last tab function just doesn't work at all. I can use my laptop all day, connected to the internet and when I go to use a desktop. The Desktop claims that the last time a tab was opened on the laptop was 2-3 weeks ago. In older versions of the browser the computer could blue screen and return to desktop. The recent tabs would have all your tabs still there, it made it easy to pick and choose which tabs you wanted. Now, it opens every damn tab that you abused, 5-10 youtube videos start auto playing, and massive pdf pages re-download. So, I just end up closing all the windows and start again. Tonight, when trying to signing into my university's assignment drop box page ( i guess it can be called that), the finger print sensor refused to start. It turns out chrome had uninstalled the browser extension for the finger print scanner to work. There was a link for more info which had some really infuriating lines on it such as: Source Oh okay you want to make chrome safer, Cool, So... Can I just re-enable this feature that comes with my laptop. Oh, no? But, I know what it is. Still no, well okay. You want me to contact the distributor and tell them to put it on your web store? For my protection, that's the reason I have to do this? I want to leave this Chrome wagon but I can't, I need help. This wagon is being piloted by a drunk ape and its going down very quickly. My problem with firefox is that it is slow to open. I can count 3 steam boats before the browser opens, meanwhile with chrome if I will get confused because it feels like it opened before I clicked on it. I forced my self last December to use Firefox for a month. I did it, but I eventually switched back because the android version of Firefox is not good at all. Its slow and didn't even play youtube videos correctly (I don't remember what it was doing, I just remember it being an issue.) I also had an issue with Water fox not updating so I had to go back to the website and do it manually. I am going to leave chrome once again and hopefully this time for good. Writing that reminded me of an option in chrome to leave it running in the background and the 'do not disturb' button didn't work, I would get more notifications with it on than off because it would keep repeating the same notification. Google is like General Motors, no matter how many times they screw up people keep coming back. Is it just me with these issues or is everyone just kind of ignoring them?
