Hi all, I got an Asus TUF 4090 a few weeks ago and I've enjoyed it with many games, but playing Minecraft has showed some issues. Please help! It would be greatly appreciated. I'm playing Minecraft 1.20.4 with BSL shaders, newest version, running on Optifine, also newest version. I am using BSL shaders, preset settings HIGH, and I have a render distance of 16. However, I am literally getting 22 fps. I do not understand what is going on. GPU usage is low at only around 15% usage (45-55 degrees Celsius, 3500 Mb GPU memory used, 2500 Mhz GPU clock speed). GPU chip power draw is at 70 watts. Power usage is low, at only 70-100 watts (15-20% usage). CPU is also low usage. It maintains around 70 degrees Celsius, 15% usage, and 5Ghz clock speed. HOWEVER, the CPU 10, 11, and 12 usage are through the roof, all around 80-100% usage under load. Is this the problem? Or is this normal? The overall usage still low. Here are some analytics. The spikes are where I tabbed to Minecraft (with BSL shaders): https://imgur.com/gallery/BZDbnpE Also, I ran Heaven benchmark and was able to get 100% GPU usage, so I'm afraid that the problem is the CPU. But it's the 7800x3D! Which performs better than even the 7900x3D (for games)! I just don't get it. This is my system: GPU: Asus TUF 4090 CPU: Ryzen 7 7800x3D RAM: G.Skill 6000Mhz PSU: Corsair HX1000i MOBO: Gigabyte b650 Gaming X AX V2 Monitor: 27" 4k 144Hz

This started happening yesterday (win 10 pro). Before yesterday I used the computer in Balanced mode for like 5+ days without any issue. I didn't do anything, didn't change a single setting etc. turned my computer on fans didn't start even after putting load on computer changing power modes started the fans and they worked as long as the laptop was in Turbo / Manual mode getting back to Balanced mode sometimes worked but other times fans turned off and stayed like that +Armory Crate (or idk why it happened) made my Advanced Power Options disappear and when I re-added them in cmd the settings were.. interesting? Quick windows reinstall Now I'm on a new windows install (win 11 pro), I just use G-helper. Here's what happened now: i was in turbo mode to begin with changed to balanced mode, started a game, fans stayed at 0% even after cpu got up to 80C changed back to turbo, fans started spinning changed back to balanced, now fans start auto and everything works as intended As I'm writing this Balanced mode works BUT even tho I use this fan curve, my fans stay at 0% till the cpu hits around 70C. <--- I wrote this 5mins ago and now my fans are spinning again around 60c. Aaaand as soon as i wrote this down cpu cooled back to under 60, fans turned off, now we're back to 60+ and 0% fans. I'm absolutely lost, had laptops in the past but this is completely new to me. edit: started an aida64 stress test in turbo mode. Fans went ham, stopped the stress test. Changed back to balanced mode, started the test again and the fans just went down to 0% and didn't start despite the test running. What even is this. edit2: restarted the pc and now balanced mode works again as intended during game

Hi, i have an asus tuf gaming vg27wq and it does not support 1440p at 120hz on the series x, but the vg27wq1b does. That is the hole point of the 1b version, to access the 120hz ability to console. So do you think i can just swap the main boards and it will work? Thanks to all, lorenz.

Hello y’all What are the advantages of the asus rog strix 4070 ti OC over the TUF 4070 ti OC? Some speeds are slightly faster, but those aren’t worth the 200$ more. The strix is also a bit bigger, so are there some cooling advantages compared to the TUF? Thanks in advance for any help. Racer_JJJ

Hey everyone, recently i bought new pc and the motherboard that i choose is Asus TUF x470-plus gaming and i wanted to update the bios to the latest version because the version that's on is the old bios from 2 years ago. When i tried to update the bios to the latest version directly from the bios menu with the Ez Flash 3 tool i choose the USB, chose the bios file and it asked me if i want to read the file i clicked yes when i did that the mouse was frozen for couple seconds and after that i got the message that "Selected file is not a proper BIOS". I tried with two different usb drives and both were formatted to FAT32, i also tried to download the bios directly from the asus servers. After you choose the Ez Flash it asked me if i want from local drive or internet and the third time (after the two usb attempts failed) i choose internet and i got the same error message "Selected file is not a proper BIOS". I also tried to rename the bios file with the provided renaming tool and still the same result. Does someone has any idea how this can be fixed? 20210311_173607_1_1.mp4

Hello people, after using a fairly good IPS monitor as my gaming one, i was looking into upgrading it sometime in the next couple of weeks and as such i have decided to go for a 144 Hz one. I found one about 8 months ago ( https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27gl63t-b-gaming-monitor ) and so far it seems good. Now i was thinking since i have chosen this monitor around 8 months ago and just kept it in file i have done some digging again and found the Asus TUF Asus VG279QR ( https://www.asus.com/Displays-Desktops/Monitors/TUF-Gaming/TUF-GAMING-VG279QR/ ) I have read that the TUF one is better but since its a new monitor i didnt saw any reviews ( the only ones were for different models ). My budget is 300 euros ( aprox 350$ ) but could stretch it to 350e or 420$ and one of the MUST HAVEs of my new monitor is to have Height Adjustment ( dont care about pivot ), i was looking for a 1080p 144 Hz and 27 inch ( yeah i know pixels and stuff but i dont care about that as i have poor eye sight anyway xD ) but if no 27 inch ones are good then 24 inch is also good. I would also like it to be IPS Dont care about brand, dont care about blue light filters / options / free or gsync If you have a better recommendation than these 2 im happy to hear about it If you need anything more feel free to ask

Hi, About 2 months ago I bought a TUF RTX 3080 card, the card has worked without any problems so far. A few days ago I did a 461.40 driver update via GeForce Experience and suddenly the card was not recognized by the computer. First, an exclamation mark started appearing next to the video card in the device manager. When I try to update the driver again later, I could no longer enter the settings section and the home page on GeForce Experience, although I did update and install but I constantly get the installation screen. First I loaded and updated GPU BIOS via ASUS website. There was no change. Then I did a clean installation by completely removing the drivers with DDU, but again nothing changed. I installed the ASUS GPU tweaker II application but it also gives a no driver error. Corsair iCUE and ASUS Armory Crate apps do not see the graphics card. I wonder if the problem is hardware related? Should I take the card to the service? I would be glad if you could help. Respects.

I have this laptop: TUF FX505 Ryzen 5 3550H with GTX 1650, 16GB dual channel, 512GB SSD + 320GB HDD yes, that hdd is that small I have this problem where my games lags every some seconds. The frame drops is very noticable, a game that running 100fps+ can be only 10fps for a while before working like normal again. It happens in a lot of light games, like Valorant, Apex Legends, CSGO, and many more. they usually have these 2 things in common: using mic/some sort of voice chat and able to play pass 100fps. The solution: I use ryzen controller (it's free and i believe it's open source ryzencontroller.com ) to limit the PSI0 and VRM current in power tab low enough untill the problem completely gone. Just try not to go too low or you'll loose too much CPU speed. Other solutions (worse, costly, and quite unreliable): Use silent mode Use battery (performance mode) Lower TDP Hope it works y'all

My Laptop freezes up while on Zoom, in nearly every meeting, at least once every 30minutes. I realise it could be all drivers and or bios settings or which app uses which gpu etc, but I have no idea where to start Ryzen 7 5800H cpu AMD radeon iGPU NVidia RTX3070 dGPU ASUS TUF Gaming A15 - Jan 2021 64GB RAM 3TB NVME storage Titan Army 34" UHD 144hz 8k USB-C cable to DP UHD 144hz monitor, previously I was using 4k hdmi-hdmi cable. There was a slight difference in the effect that these cables had. The HDMI caused the secondary screen to just shutdown. the new 8k cable does not do that but now the laptop screen sometimes stops for a long period. often I have to shut down Zoom. My machine was telling me applications were running on the iGPU, and it was only games that were running on the dGPU. Seemingly my machine is designed to switch between them. How is this meant to work is it worth the power saving to run the iGPU. normally on my desktop I turn it off. I want to use the Laptop mainly for Software Dev, and biz apps. But regularly I use it to game. Gaming it seems to go OK. But the regular pattern of Zoom calls hanging is still consistently there. I do not know where to start, my retailer said I needed a good USB-C cable but that did not work. I am not a power user but I know enough to be dangerous.

ARGB devices doesnt pop up on any RGB control software
devsolriase posted a topic in Troubleshooting
I have a TUF gaming Z590-plus motherboard and I got a cooler master liquidmaster ml360l ARGB v2 aio but for some reason the argb isnt appearing on any rgb control software such as ICUE ,aura ,rgb fusion. I tried using cooler master's software masterplus but it was of no use, I am using the fans\rgb hub that came with the aio it connected to ARGB header on the motrherboard and the PWM is connected the chassis fan header , my ram sticks are the only ARGB component that has the ARGB working(using fusion not aura), the motherboard has rgb on it but am not sure if they are ARGB or standard rgb. what could be the issue that am facing-

Just got this motherboard and a new Ryzen 5 5600G CPU Ram is 1 stick of G.Skill Aegis DDR4 3200MHz PC4-25600 CL16. PSU is Corsair 650w Everything turns on but it doesn't display on screen I've tried to ez flash the bios and move the memory around. I've noticed the CPU fan will stop for a split second before spinning again some times and the Light on the motherboard Blinks orange for Dram. At one point it would light solid red for CPU an even shit off after about a minute but now it's just doing the orange blinking.

I've built a few PCs in the past without any issues, but a few weeks ago I decided to build a new one. New parts used are: Asus ROG Strix B560i, Asus TUF 3070Ti OC, Intel I5-11600k, Coolermaster SFX V850. And the reused parts are: 2x 8gb Hyper X Predator 3200mhz, Crucial 500g NVMe, Samsung QVO 1TB. The problem I am having is the card isn't outputting anything, when using the integrated graphics the computer works fine, and when using my old GPU(RTX 2060) it also works perfectly fine. But when I try use the new GPU the screen doesn't receive a signal. Because of this I sent it back to overclockers where I hoped they would test it, find an issue and send back a working GPU. But when they tested it they found no issues. They sent it back and I tried it again but to no avail. I then tried using one monitor using the GPU and the other using the integrated graphics, aswell as the GPU monitor still not receiving any signal, I was now getting a blue screen after a few seconds of it being on the desktop with a clock_watchdog_timeout, an issue often attributed to the GPU. I have found a couple forum posts with this issue but never a solution, most just say they replaced it with another card and that was it. All software is up to date and relevant drivers are installed. Any help would be appreciated, thanks Ducknee.

Hello my fellow Nerds and PC enthusiasts I recently got myself a ASUS TUF 3070 OC and I am really enjoying the card. I am surprised how well the temps are and how well it OCed. I noticed the backplate is made of metal, but it doesnt make any real contact with the card. I was thinking of maybe adding some pads on the area where the memory is mounted next to the die. Also where Power delivery is installed. I know it wouldnt change my temps by 43296423 degrees, but I thought it might help with temps in general and hence its potential longevity. Do you think I should try open it up and try measure the distance between the backplate and PCB and get some pads? Or just a stupid unnecessary adventure? Stay safe everyone! Just for fun, have a pic of my PC :3

Hey everyone, so I am trying to find a good monitor... I had an Acer Nitro 1440p 32" (non curved) that ended up display black bars at the top, returned it, got the replacement home, HORRIBLE light bleed in the bottom left, retruned it, got the Samsung G7 (dumped extra money into that purchase), got it home, DEAD PIXELS! So my question is.... Do I give the Samsung G7 (32" 1440p) another chance with a replacement or do I go with something else? I was looking at maybe.. ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQL1B 34" UWQHD <--- Any opinions?

My motherboard doesn't power ON without clearing CMOS + Shorting 4th-5th pin of PSU. MY PC Specs: AMD Ryzen R5 3600 CPU ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus Motherboard G.Skill Sniper X DDR4-3600 8GB x 2 sticks (F4-3600C19D-16GSXWB) Sapphire AMD RX 460 2GDDR5 Graphics Card Power Supply Tried - Corsair CV650 80 Plus Silver (This is brand new) Corsair VS450 80 Plus White (This is the one I am using from last 4 years) I have tried downgrading BIOS from 4021 to 4005 to 4002 but no success . Also tried putting in new CMOS Battery and as you can guess another power supply too. The behaviour still remains. It would be better to show you than explaining - 5 minute video below Please review and advise. Many Thanks.

Does anyone have ASUS TUF FX504GM BIOS version 308 or anything below 310? -- They have removed all bios versions below 310 from their website -- Apparently asus doesn't want users to undervolt their laptops. -- All bios versions above and including 310 are locked in such a way that no tools can be used to change voltage offset This link was supposed to have a 308 version driver but the link doesnt work anymore https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/GamingNB/FX504GM/FX504GMAS201.zip

Hi guys, how are you. I'll leave my configuration right here and below related to my problem: Here is my current configuration: "Mobo Asus TUF X570" + "Ryzen 3600x" + "2x 8GB G.Skill 3600 Trident NEO" + "GPU RX 6700XT Sapphire Nitro +" + "PSU EVGA 750BQ" + WC Corsair H100i V2. The problem is this. I am no longer able to apply the DOCP in the bios. I've tried everything. I've reverted the bios version, and nothing resolves. When it starts up, it's normal, but if you turn off the computer and turn it on again, it won't start anymore. Then I have to clean the cmos and redo the procedure, but it doesn't stabilize. The worst thing is that my computer was normal forever, I never had any problems at all. DOCP worked beautifully. From one day to the next it was like this. I'm pretty discouraged. Can anyone help me with this?

So, this is a pretty new problem to me, and a pretty stubborn one. There's no possible correlation that I can think of, so, i don't know why this is happening, nothing was changed. The problem is that whenever I start a game, let's say Fortnite, after about 5 minutes, the wifi shuts off. Also, it does not matter if the game is offline or online, it shuts off after about 5-10 minutes of gameplay. This is happening with all of my games, and for a while my editing software as well. When I try to reconnect to my wifi, it shows "Can't connect to network". Then I try to restart the adapter(not a usb one, internal laptop adapter) from control panel, but when I disabled it, it refuses to re-enable. A quick refresh shows that this is because the adapter is gone from the page. Now, I have scoured the corners of the internet, looking for solutions, and if people have had the same problem as me, some have. Not exactly similar, but kind of. I have tried probably everything, and it still refuses to fix. Also my laptop is connected to AC power(don't know if that's relevant). Anyways, here's what all I have tried - 1. Network reset 2. Unchecking "Allow the computer to switch off this device to save power" 3. Update the driver to it's latest version, then DOWNGRADE it, neither versions work. 4. Flashing the BIOS to 1 older version. 5. Windows 10 reset. 6. Trying both 2 GHz and 5 GHz wifi channels. 7. Turned off all the "Wake on magic packet" type settings off. 8. Doing a very selective tracert method I saw here - https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/computer-disconnects-from-wifi-while-gaming.3445266/ - to no avail. I also tried a continous pinging test to my router, my isp's ip and google.com. When the wifi inevitably switched off, it just shows "Failed to connect - General Error". 9. I have read somewhere that overheating could cause this, but I made sure that internal temps were around 70 when gaming, and 70 throughout. 10. I have also read somewhere (quora) that ram could somehow be the culprit, but i have not changed my ram, it's still stock. 11. I have also tried latest windows update, reversing windows update, nothing seems to work. 12. Tried winsock reset, ip reset, and set my ip from dynamic to static. Obviously restarted where restarting was needed. 13. Deleted my antivirus, switched off all windows protection while gaming(even defender firewall) and it still turns off. Tried it with everything on as well. This is most of the stuff I have tried, there might be some I'm forgetting. This has been going on for about 10 days, and I'm kind of frustrated that I still can't figure out what the problem is. In the meantime, I'm using a lan cable, but it's kind of impractical, so I would like to go back to wifi as soon as i can. Some last information - my laptop is a stock Asus tuf a15 (FA506II) laptop, and no upgrades have been done on it, pretty new as well. If anyone can help me, it will be really appreciated. Thanks in advanced!

I couldn't find concrete information online for this particular monitor, what is the best calibration for general use? Cinema mode and Racing mode appear to the best to me, but Cinema seems too saturated while Racing is washed out.
