MOBO: Gigabyte B550 DSH3 1.3 CPU: R5 3600 GPU: RX 6650XT PSU: Corsair RM650 (Black label) SSD: Kingston KC3000 M.2 1TB This is my first PC, I built it around a year ago, up until now it hasn't had any problems at all, but out of nowhere it stopped working yesterday. PC does turn on, fans spinning, ram rgb turns on, cpu cooler turns on, the monitor does recognize something is trying to transmit to it but it just says "No signal", Its a pretty cheap mobo so no led codes or beeping, USB devices are not recognized but they are powered (even waiting a while doesn't sync the keyboard rgb as it should if the pc booted without display ), - Things I've tried: Removing cmos battery, plugging and unplugging the PSU, smelled everything but nothing seemed to smell burnt, tried to enter BIOS but nothing. Different DP cables and ports on gpu, different HDMI cables, double checked on display OSD I had the right input, reseated gpu and tried both x16 ports for it, none worked, also tried plugging it to a different display and nothing. Changed the ram to different slots, tried one stick in each port at a time. Tried changing SDD to a different slot and unplugged all other storage devices. Reseated the cpu as my last resource. Double checked if everything was plugged the right way. Right now, I don't have access to a different pc to verify what is wrong exactly, don't have spare parts not even ram to at least try and pinpoint, but here is my plan: (please tell me if I should do something differently) Now I am trying to borrow a gpu to see if thats whats fried or not, then my next bet would be to get a R3 3200g just for the cheapness and the integrated graphics so I can maybe get a successful display and be able to do schoolwork for the rest the semester, If it doesn't work I guess it would be the mobo instead and I would get a Biostar B550MH and my last bet would be a PSU maybe? All I need is to get up and running even if its slower and without gaming as hurtful as it is, anyone has an idea what could it be?

Hey all! Decided to download Division 2 to play with a friend over the weekend. However, I ran into a pretty strange display issue. I attached a video of what happens. Basically, the game launches, and works for a brief moment before the screen goes black and it begins flickering from the black screen to my desktop over and over again. It does not stop. There is no way to get out of this loop except for rebooting the machine. Some of the troubleshooting steps I have tried: - Roll back Nvidia drivers - Disable multiple displays and try running the game with only 1 - Reinstalling the game on by 2 different drives - Forcing the game to run in Dx11 instead of 12 - Verifying the game files - Checked Event Viewer but couldn't locate anything noteworthy I'm pretty lost as to what can be the issue, since I play a multitude of other games and none of them have these issues. I don't really know if I should be asking such questions here, but since this community helped me a lot with various problems I thought I must ask for help. So, for a couple weeks now I can't use Visual Studio 2022 at all because of freezes upon opening a project. VS seems to work fine with no project opened, but as soon as I try to open any VS solution the whole programs freezes. I tried reinstalling VS and other possible solutions from the Internet, but none of them seemed to help. Some info about my VS installation: Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2022 Version 17.8.1 VisualStudio.17.Release/17.8.1+34316.72 Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.8.09032 I appreciate any bit of help and will provide any additional info if needed!

So today I built my brother a PC, and it doesn't boot (specs listed below). MB: ASRock B550M Pro4 CPU: Ryzen 5 5600 with stock cooler GPU: XFX RX 6600 RAM: 2x8 GB DDR4 3200 Patriot SSD: Samsung 980 evo 1TB PSU: 550W coolermaster 80+ bronze We tried to swap to a stick of ram and a CPU (ryzen 3 3200G) that we used in a different computer (and we onow they work) and still no signs of life. Can anyone help?

It has been some time when this problem first started so I can’t remember how the problem occurred. But now as soon as I booted my PC the cursor will show loading icon. I tried some things recommended in some standard websites like Microsoft but none worked. Anyone have any idea on what to do?

I smelled my cpu , nothing smells burnt wire or plastic only the avr.. what should i do next . new pc user here i know its my fault ..

So, i have this system for 2 years now: ryzen 2600X, b450m pro m2, 16gb ddr4 3000mhz RAM (gskill), RX570, SSD(w10 is on a mp150 corsair, and 2 cheap ssd) and western digital green 2tb; and a few days ago i notice that the discord closed by himself, i minimized only, and i couldn't open it agian, i link a video with an example (in the video i close discord with task manager, but this happend after a minutes of open the program or a few seconds). From my experience (i study administration of system on net)i discard a possible hardware fail (i can play Tarkov, Astroneer, LOL with no crash), so NO CPU UNESTABILITY OR SIMILAR, no drivers problems (drive of rx570 was like 2 moths ago, but the others were not update, and didn't give me problem).The only new thing i did before the problems i had, was installing https://blitz.gg/, all the days before that was normal and working right, i had the w10 update from ¿2 weeks ago or a month?, so thats was probably the problem, and i tried to uninstall it and nothing change (so i dont think if that could made changes on the OS and disrupt somenthing??). I tried this line on the powershell, Get-AppxPackage | foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}, but this is more focus for w10 propietary apps (cortana, and thoes things), but it didn't work. I don't know whats happening, i can use discord web, but why MEGA destokp app (the cloud storage), or the amd radeon drivers appers to be on, why chrome works??, or BirtualVox works,... Ithink it's something about the apps that work or have some task in background, that crash. I don't know if this is a bug of my version of w10, w10 home 20H2 with the last update KB4592438, i had this w10 for 4 moths (i am trying to explain thats not the last w10 version, the one where control panel start to not have the same significance as the options), my PSVersion is 5.1.19041.610. Summary: programs in background or similar, don't start or work, i try to restart, uninstall, update,... Nothing work, but other apps work fine. Idon't know if i have expressed my self correctly, and sorry for my english or grammatical errors, i will chek this post tomorrow (its 2:30am), and i am on the LTT discord server.

So, the issue started fairly recently I was getting ready to play some rocket league with one of my buddies but that came around and bit me right in the arse I don't know how to fix this issue although it has happened in the past and fixed itself, but I really don't want to just sit around and wait for that I'd rather wait on a response from a LTT former. Any help would be nice after I post this I will do a driver reinstall to see if it's corrupted.

Hello wonderful people! I am in a desperate situation and hope someone of you can help me. I want to buy an Occulus Rift S, but my graphics card only has one Display port output which is already used by my monitor... Here is when my idea of a display port splitter comes in, because I am to lazy to plug/unplug 24/7. Now I really hope to find a techhead who is willing to answer my question: If I only power on one device at a time I should be okay, right? I mean its logical that, if I had my Monitor and my Occulus powered on at the same time, I would be limited in terms of bandwith for both devices, since they are sharing one Port. But what if I only use one device simultaneously. Wouldnt that mean that its practically only like a longer Display port cable? Or are the bandwith restrictions built in? I am so clueless, please someone help me. I cant buy a Rift S if I have to crawl behind me PC changing cables manually all the time, this would wear out the port and me fairly quickly ^^ I did a whole lot of research but can't find out myself. The manufacturers assume you have 2 devices plugged in and are using them at the same time, thats what they are basing their technical details on. Luv ya ll, thatks for your time. The stuttering happens mostly in Minecraft. It was working much better before. The stutters also happen in PUBG Lite but a lot less. It was stuttering in Goat of Duty and in that game stutters were periodical (somehow I fixed it). PC specs: Windows 10 Professional 64 bit MSI b450 Tomahawk Max (Latest BIOS but oddly enough BIOS shows the build date of the first version. Maybe it is because I loaded the defaults IDK) Ryzen R5 3600 (PBO off) 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX (3000 Mhz XMP) Inno3D GTX 1070 X2 (Drivers 4475 WD Green SSD 240 GB (boot drive) TOSHIBA 1TB HDD Corsair TX550M (550w 80+ gold) The weird bug is that I get 100% GPU usage spikes when I exit some programs and it happens only in task manager. In other software like Afterburner there are no spikes. I tried reinstalling drivers with DDU or without it didn't fix it. I installed older drivers and that changed nothing. I loaded optimized defaults in BIOS and still the same. I did a reinstall of windows but the one where it keeps files and apps and nothing changed. I took the GPU out and installed it again and that did nothing. Also on my old PC in which I recently added a 1050 ti and the same bug appears. Is this a Windows bug or could my bad house wiring cause this? I am really suspecting my house electricity (or the PSU IDK) becuase I've heard my PSU click twice now. It is the same click that I hear when I shut down the PC. If anyone has an idea to solve this mystery let me know

Hey, The second monitor works fine when I'm using it for Youtube and Reddit, but when I try use it for Netflix or Amazone Prime it crashes. The second monitor gets a bluscreen and "HDMI signal not found". If I close the browser and turn off and on the monitor is back up working. I'm now using a laptop with no graphics card. Intel Core i5-8250U 1.60GHz processor. I have tried to update the drivers, but still no fix. I have tried FireFox and Opera as browers. Did not have this problem on the other computer. Any ideas why this occur?

Hey all, I've agreed to help a friend of mine after she walked across shag carpet in socks and shocked her computer to death. (If only she were wearing an iFixit ESD strap.) I plugged her old drive into my laptop via a usb - 2.5" hdd adapter and found that her drive is detected, spins, and appears to have all the data intact. She wants at least her school files back but wouldn't mind a clone of her old computer, so my options are either to replace her new laptop's drive with her old one or use some sort of software to either clone her old drive to her new device or recover her files off of it. I tried pulling files off of her old drive just having it plugged in but was unsuccessful, as I was told by Windows that I did not have permission to access her drive's files. What would be the best way to accomplish this; Hardware replacement or Software transfer/clone? Could I just slap her old drive into the new computer and start it up good as new? (I really doubt it would be that easy) Thanks for your advice!

My cooler’s little ring around the fan on the wraith prism cooler keeps turning off after boot. I don’t really care, but it messes up the look of the pc but somehow improves thermals?

Hello, recently I bought a Asus Strix GTX 1080ti to replace my GTX 1060 3gb. I installed it and installed all the new drivers for it and jumped into a game and was actually getting lower FPS then with my 1060. I have a Core i5 7600 and have read that a Core i5 6600 wouldn't bottleneck a 1080ti so I figured I would be fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers multiple times with no luck. When I play games like PUBG I get about 50-75 FPS on the lowest settings. IN fact all games I play now I'm getting no more then 110 FPS. I'm playing on a 1080p 144Hz monitor. I have read a couple of people say that my monitor could be a bottleneck; however, I have read just as many people say that is not the case.
