FLICKER EPILEPSY WARNING Specs: Ryzen 7 7700X Asus TUF X670E Plus Samsung Odyssey S28AG700NUX 4K DP cable from Samsung Windows 10 Pro Everything is working fine until I install AMD iGPU driver. It doesn't flicker in UEFI nor with Microsoft basic adapter. It only does this with AMD driver. Also: 1. Changing the resolution and refresh rate doesn't help. 2. Doesn't flicker in full screen YT videos. 3. Turning off freesync doesn't help. 4. Everytime it flickers I can hear distinct sound from PC that is synced perfectly with flicker, sound is present always, even when using microsoft driver. 5. Hard to capture but 4 blue lines are visible when flicker occurs but only with some resolutions. 6. Flicker seems to be correlated with system load: the more work my PC does the less epileptic flicker it produces. VID_20221112_104706.mp4

Denon AVR-2105 Surround Sound Receiver Isnt Fully Working
snozking posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hello, ive been given a Denon AVR-2105 Surround Sound Receiver. I was told it was "pulled by the cord out of the wall" and when it was plugged in again it stopped working. The relays inside click in sequence and then the last one turns it off and an orange flashing light displays (i read it means internal error). you can watch the video attatched. i was thinking maybe a fuse on the certain function(?) i am opening it for visual inspection now. any help diagnosing the issue would be thankful. 20231127_122124.mp4 -
Recently got myself a new microphone and for quite some time I can't understand, how do I put config on my headphones AND on my microphone at the same time. As far as I know EqualizerAPO allows such things? Any tips on possible solution to this problem? Would appreciate any help!

Ryzen 3900X Asrock X570 Taichi 2x16GB Trident Z neo 3600 EVGA 3080 LHR Corsair RM750 Sabrant rocket NVMe 1TB PCIE 4.0 Windows 11 NZXT Kraken X72 160mm The BSOD is often CRITICAL_PROCESS_FAILED, or SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, and the dump progress is completely frozen at 0%. The computer BSODs when playing games, this has carried over through the upgrade to Windows 11, I have switched between RAM sticks sets with no avail. Changed boot drive and game installation drive to different SSD. The computer does not BSOD when playing League of Legends or low graphics intensity games like Hades or Across the Obelisk, however things like Deep Rock Galactic, CSGO, and Monster Hunter World causes the crashes regularly, sometimes within 3 minutes of starting the game but definitely within 15 minutes of starting the game. The RGB fan controller was removed, RGB on RAM and cooler has been disabled. The BSOD behavior temporarily stopped when I changed the GPU power from using two cables to the PSU to using the split connector on one cable, this resulted in around 2 weeks without crashes but the problem showed up again yesterday. There are no dump files and there are no events in event viewer other than "the system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down", "the previous system shutdown was unexpected", and "volmgr: Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation"

Hey there, I have been having problems with my pc for the last week and am really lost, so I would really appreciate the help. While odd behaviour on my PC (explorer crashing, random programs freezing, minor FPS drops) have been a problem for more time, the last week has become especially bad. The browser often crashes, and scrolling on the web introduces random stutters (not sure how to explain it, but it just feels like the browser has 15 FPS in sections of a website that is graphically more intense). I also started getting different BSODs (page fault in nonpaged area, irql not less or equal, attempted execute of noexecute memory). The graphical stutters/glitches also sometimes appear in Windows, when moving windows around or opening a tab from the taskbar. Lastly, I have seen significant FPS drops in games, specifically League of Legends. I can start the game with 300 FPS, but as the game progresses it drops down to 100 FPS, even though the PC should be able to handle that. Lowering the graphics settings doesn't help with improving the FPS, hence why I don't think this is a GPU related error. To sum up the symptoms: Apps crashing on launch or on certain actions (for example when opening a new tab in a browser) Graphical stutters when browsing the web and/or in Windows (when moving windows around, switching between programs using ALT + TAB) Occasional BSODs with different error codes (page fault in nonpaged area, irql not less or equal, attempted execute of noexecute memory) -> I haven't experienced this since turning off Asus Optimized in BIOS and disabling XMP for RAM Significant FPS drops in games, which occur after some time playing (never at the beginning) Occasional I/O disconnects (this is very rare, but my keyboard and mouse sometimes disconnects for a second or two) PC Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 MOBO: Asus Prime B450M-A RAM: 2x8 GB TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 3000 MHz, currently running at 2400 MHz CPU cooler: SCYTHE Mugen 5 Rev. B VGA: KFA2 GTX 1660 6GB PSU: Cooler Master B500 v2 500W SSD: Crucial MX500 500GB (OS drive) HDD: WD 1TB Caviar Blue OS: Windows 10 Steps I have already taken to resolve this myself: Clean wiping GPU drivers with DDU and reinstalling them Updating BIOS to latest stable version Reseating the GPU and checking the cabling Monitored GPU and CPU temperatures during gaming and usage which came out as normal Stress tested the CPU, GPU and RAM with multiple tests, both individually and simultaneously, but apart from the simultaneous test locking up the system until it was done, it all seemed normal Running a 3 hour MEMTEST to check for RAM failures, no errors in 4 passes Running the Windows memory diagnostics test (no errors) Running chkdisk and sfc for possible corruption Reinstalling Windows (had BSOD immidiately after getting back into Windows) Reset BIOS to defaults (disabling both the Asus Optimal profile which overclocked the CPU as well as disabling XMP for RAM) this seemed to solve (at least for now) the BSOD problem, but the other issues still remain Tried reseating the RAM, running the system with only one RAM stick, trying different RAM slots to no help Inspected the motherboard for any physical damage, but none could be seen I have narrowed it down to either being a broken motherboard or a PSU problem (the PSU is pretty old), but I'd like to narrow it down completely so I don't waste any money replacing parts. I'm thinking either the Asus overclocking could have killed the motherboard due to it not being a good overclocker, or PSU voltage fluctuations causing shortages to components. I appreciate all the help, feel free to ask any follow up questions.

Hi guys. I tried to oc my old cpu but it doesn't want to be overclocked even 100mhz. I didn't change the voltages. Its rebooting 2 times and goes back to stock clock. Temps are good, not overheating. Can anyone help me? Cpu:q9550 4c/4t 2.83ghz Motherboard: Gigabyte G41MT-S2PT rev 1.1

Pure Power 11 600W CM US 80 Plus Gold OS: Windows 10 Home (21H1), 64-bit https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/46804215 Problem: I recently built a new PC (2 months ago) and its been extremely frustrating trying to figure out what is wrong with it, it can't seem to handle games like Dayz (30-40fps when turning) Escape from Tarkov (20-40fps when turning) 7 Days to Die (40fps when turning) The I haven't tested many other games, albeit for War Thunder, which I can run perfectly with 4x super sampling (4K) and highest settings, all while maintaining 90-100 fps. My main issue is that when I am playing DayZ for example, I will get 180+ frames, then as I turn, it drops down to 40 for a good 5 seconds. This trend repeats in all the other games really (except for War Thunder, so far). While playing, I'll notice that the GPU utilization hovers at 30% and the CPU at 20-40% (even when turning and the frames drop, and with 32gb of RAM I'm starting to think that it isn't a hardware issue. Temperatures are relatively low too, as you can see in the SS. This has really frustrated me as I just upgraded from a laptop with a 1050ti mobile GPU, only to find myself getting lower frames in many situations. I have tried for a while to fix this, the solutions I have tried: Replacing the GPU Increasing the RAM Reinstalling graphics drivers via DDU Disabling HPET Optimizing game settings via NVIDIA Control Panel Changing Power Mode to High Performance I recently did a M-Flash Please if anyone could help me out, this has made my life hell and I just need to figure it out. Thank You

Experiencing strange boot-up screen colours after making a few changes and installing Windows 11 from Insider Programme (Beta Version) In order to install Windows 11, I made the following changes to my PC: -> Converted boot drive from MBR to GPT -> Enabled PTT (TPM 2.0) -> Enabled Secure boot in BIOS After these 3 stages (in photos) Windows boots up and displays the lock screen and then desktop normally. Anyone who is experiencing a similar issue, or has any idea why this is occurring?.

PART LIST Gigabyte X470 Aurous Ultra Gaming Motherboard AMD Ryzen 5 2600x Corsair Vengeance RGB 3200 16gb (2 sticks, 8 gigs each) (current ram) EVGA GTX 1070ti BLACK Samsung 970 EVO 256gb (OS Drive) WB Blue 1tb HDD EVGA 500 Watt Bronze PSU. Hey, this is my first time on the LTT forums, reddit was no help, so I turned to probably what should've been my first choice. This problem started a couple months ago, my computer would freeze out of nowhere. Like everything was frozen, the RGB, any kind of mouse movements anything. The only way to solve it was to force shut the computer. I once tried leaving the computer for about 2+ hours sitting frozen to see if it would eventually crash but it did not. Later on, one of my ram sticks stopped working out of nowhere, as windows began reporting only 8gb of ram installed, yet bios was reporting 16. Once I took out the stick, and put it back in, windows would simply refuse to start up. So I deemed that the ram stick was the issue. And to note, yes, I did try all slots on my motherboard. I went on to buy new ram. I replaced my old corsair vengeance low profile with corsair vengeance rgb. With both new ram sticks, windows booted, and was reporting 16gb! But literally after 5 minutes windows froze again, and I was stuck in a constant startup, blue screen and crash loop. I somehow fixed it, but honestly I forgot how. What really confuses me now is that I gave my old ram sticks to a friend, and they worked completely fine in his computer, windows reported 16gb, and we ran a stress test on them and they were fine. And to this day, windows still randomly crashes and freezes out of nowhere. I need help pinpointing this problem, because at this point, im sick and tired of my computer randomly freezing. Even after a complete windows wipe, nothing has changed. TL;DR- My pc randomly freezes, after multiple attempts trying to fix it. EDIT: I took a picture of each of the blue screens I got, hopefully it helps.

I’m trying to install an Asus RX 5500 XT 8GB, but my monitor only shows a black screen. I’ve tried everything that could think of, but no luck so far :( The monitor definitely picks up the GPU as it doesn’t show ‘no signal’. I’ve updated the BIOS and I’m running the latest version of Win 10. The power cables are plugged in properly. Both the white LED and RGB light on the GPU turn on when the system is powered on, but the GPU’s fans don’t spin up. I’ve plugged another monitor into the motherboard itself, but I don’t see the GPU in Device Manager. I can’t install the driver, because it doesn’t pick up the GPU. Any help or assistance would be appreciated! System Specs: Gigabyte H410M S2 Intel Celeron G5900 Corsair ValueSelect 8GB RAM Corsair CV550

What fps am i supposed to run gta v at with a rtx 2070 and an i5 9400f because I don't think it's an average of 70 to 80 in story mode and an average of 50 to 60 in online mode with drops to even 30. My biggest concern is that when I initially installed gta on my 3 month old rig it ran on a capped 144 in story with a few drops online to just 120, letting me no room for understanding of the downgrade. In both times I played gta I had everything maxed out on 1080p. I observed some bottleneck issues at some point when the GPU was using only 60% to 70% but today the usage went fine to a degree. I heard gta may be cpu intensive but the cpu wasn't working too hard either ( around 50 % ). In adition to that I encountered a sort of horizontal flickering of translucid lines constantly going up. Another issue that could be related to the monitor is a weird occurance of small formations of black dots. These ones I encountered in rdr 2 when disabling taaand looking at the sun and in witcher 3 when looking at bright textures such as snow. Now I don't know if this issue is gpu or monitor related. It's a 4 year old monitor but i find it hard to believe a monitor would go bad. I am planning to buy a 1440p monitor anyway but after seeing the latest performances my rig displays I would like to resolve the problems first. If any 2070 users have encountered issues too or if someone simply can help me pls don't hesitate.

My cousin has windows 10 education edition on his desktop somehow, and I can't figure out how to get it back to windows 10 home without a new install. I've tried putting in the windows 10 home product key, tried using the windows installer (it keeps defaulting to education) but to no avail. Any clue how to get it working?

As the tittle suggest, I've been experiencing framedrop/freezing/lagspikes while playing games. I.E. CSGO, Rocketleague and even Windows in general. I got so annoyed with this that I reinstalled Windows, but with no prevail. Drives are up to date, BIOS, Windows, gpu. I have a 9700k on a Z370 Board from Asus, with a ROG RTX2080(16x lane) and couple of G.skill 8gig sticks in dc. 80+ gold 1000w psu from coolermaster. No overclock, didnt even have xmp on while checking if the bios was u.t.d. The boot drive is a m.2 970 evo with 60% space left running a legit copy of windows. Whole system has adequate cooling so no throtheling at max performance. I do also have couple ssd's and a hdd hooked up. LAN connection. Since this problem seems to be system wide, With all drives up to date on a fresh install of Windows, it has to be a hardware issue right? Eventviewer did show tons of errors on event id 476 before the reinstall of Windows. Havent had an error on the fresh one.

Long story short, i bought a new 16gb RAM kit from corsair, wanted to upgrade to 32gb, i have an older 16gb also from corsair. i got a lot of issues with the new ram installed, BSOD, the PC can work all day with the 32gb installed but won´t boot the next day. Here are the system specs MB: MSI B450 gaming pro carbon ac CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x Old RAM kit: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 2x8 3200Mhz New RAM kit: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 2x8 3200Mhz GPU: RX 5700XT I conducted a lot of test to see if the new ram was faulty. 4 Windows memory diagnostics: none of them throw any error Like 12 or more test with memtest: no errors And MemTest86: no errors There are some things i notice about my MB and the RAM, i can´t push any RAM kit to 3200, so i use it at 2933. I can´t use the old ram in the slots A2, B2 at 2933, and i can´t use the new RAM in A1, B1 slots at 2933. But i can use them at 2933 in the other slots. Also, I test both ram kits in a Aorus B450m also with a 2700x. The old kit, i can set it to 3200, but new the kit, can´t set it to 3200, only 2133. I´m at a total loss here, i have no idea what is going on. At this point looks like a Mother Board issue, but still, that doesn´t explain why i can´t set the new kit to 3200 on the Aorus MB.

I built my first desktop pc a couple months ago, the operating system (windows 10 pro) is installed on my fastest drive (WD Black SN850). I recently installed a Samsung 870 QVO 2.5" sata ssd into my old laptop and it is able to boot up faster. According to task manager my desktops boot time is around 10 seconds, while my laptops is 3-4 seconds. The drive I have in my desktop is more than 10 times faster than the one in my laptop. Hi, I bought an Alienware Aurora R11 back in 12/2019 two months ago it went out. Did some online digging and changed the psu, did not fix the issues. Broke down and bought a new motherboard and case hooked everything up and played OSRS on runelite (GPU enabled) for about a week. My screen went black one day and my keyboard, mouse and a50’s all lost power via usb hardwire (mousepad is illuminated and was still on, usb connection as well) And now I can get picture out of my pc randomly and if I unplugged my GPU my mouse and keyboard work and if my GPU is plugged in they do not work unless my screen comes on. Any help or insight would be appreciated. (Fairly new to building pc’s) Build has a Asus Z590-A Mobo I9-10900KF cpu furyx 32gb of ram (2 sticks 16gb) RTX 3080 (whatever dell had) Pystar 1000W 80+ gold PSU Also yes my motherboard has a DP port but I can’t get picture out of it either. Tried to turn it on in bios but could not find the switch IMG_8659.MOV

Hi everyone, I'm new here so I apologize for any mistakes. I recently built my first custom PC and everything seems to work except for, well, what I said in the title. (Specs will be listed below). Whenever I try and record audio using my microphone, the sound will abruptly cut out. Here is a picture of the wave form when I am making a continuous sound: http://imgur.com/a/UWAbj I was making the sound the whole time but as you can see it faded out well before I actually stopped making the sound. This leads me to believe that the issue is with the audio driver, some kind of noise gate or something. I have all effects turned off in both Windows and Realtek, and I have tested the microphone on my other machine and it works fine. I have also tested multiple mics on the problem machine and 2 of the 3 others experienced the same issue (the one that didn't was a USB microphone). If anyone has any suggestions or ideas on how to help, I'd greatly appreciate it. This has caused me more stress than finals so far... PC Specs: - Asus Maximus VIII Hero / Whetstone Motherboard (Comes with Realtek Audio Pre-Installed) - 32 Gb Of 2400 DDR4 RAM - Intel I7-6700K Skylake Processor - If you guys need more info on anything just ask, I can't think of why you would but I need answers. The Mics I've tested are: - Newer-700 Condensor Microphone (Works with my old PC but not new) - The Headset Mic from my G230 (Works on Old but not New) - The Headset mic from brand new HyperX Cloud Stingers (Works on Old but not New) - Samsung Meteor Microphone (Uses USB and works on both computers) Now for the steps I've already taken: - Mic is set to default in Windows and realtek - All drivers up to date - No viruses - Fresh install (I have 2 programs, chrome and Audacity) - Mic volume is all the way up in Windows and Realtek - Mic boost is all the way up in both windows and realtek - "Allow Aplications to take exclusive control of this device" is unchecked - "When windows detects communication activity" is set to "do nothing" Thank you guys in advance. I will be on all day trying things and updating this. Again, if you have hunch of what might be causing this or want more information, feel free to ask, i'll post as much as I know

I bought an aorus 1080 ti in 2018 and since then I had problems with it's performance.I have a 1080p 75hz monitor(I know a 1080 ti is overkill for it but I will change it soon) and for example in GTA 5 I have about 60-70 fps with grass on medium and everything else on ultra. In rainbow six siege,on ultra,I have 100 fps while I see others have 200 and my friend is having the same framerate but with a 1070 instead.Same thing in fortnite and battlefield(just tested it as i'm writing this). It feels like i have performance of a 1070 in the price of a 1080 ti:/ I updated the nvidia drivers, the bios, checked all cables and searched on the internet but I cant find reliable answers so i decided to post this here. Whenever there is a white surface on a darker background, I have white streaks until the end of the screen. This persists even on the booting screen. No solutions I found online have helped. I am mostly sure this is not a problem with my monitor since when anything except my pc is connected, there are no white streaks. I wanted to know if this is a case of GPU artifacting or something else.

So this is an interesting issue I've never had in my life and I can't seem to fix it. Randomly my right channel will fade out and distort a little making it sound 85% left and 15% right. Here is the weird part. The only way to fix it temporarily is to use the "test" button under speaker config and the "test" button under advanced properties. The second it test the right channel, you can instantly here the right channel roar to life. For like 10 or 20 minutes max. Details of what I'm using. Denon AVR-S740H connected through HDMI.
