  1. Hello! TL;DR: https://i.imgur.com/6mIDDKv.mp4 - 1 TV over HDMI, 1 TV over DP to HDMI - Same model, so NVCP recognizes as "1 of2" and "2 of 2" - When I enable GYSNC for one, it enables for the other I'm going crazy here because of the NV Control Panel. I bought a second TV as I need the big screen due to my eyesight, but since I have to use a DP to HDMI cable, GYSNC is not an option. The problem is that NVCP recognizes as the same display ("1 of2" and "2 of 2") which I don't even know why is a feature. And even though it can differentiate between the two and knows which one is from DP and HDMI, when I enable GSYNC on one, it enables on the second by itself. I tried to change the name of it in registry, but the GPU probably reads the device info from the bus directly, so it won't work. Any solutions to this? Maybe a hotkey or command line way to quick enable/disable GYSNC (so at least I can enable when only my main display is active) or literally anything else? Please help 2024-04-10 22-15-28.mp4
  2. Hey there! I’ve been running a Ryzen 5 3600 + rog b450-f board combo for about 4 weeks now. I just received my Hyper 212 evo and proceeded to install it. Only to notice that after install, no lights were lit on my motherboard (the lights on the IO shield are lit even when the PC is off. Not only this, but the PC was unable to POST and there is no fan spin upon hitting the power switch). This concerned me so I turned the pc back off and pulled the CPU thinking I bent a pin or something similar, only to find there was no visible damage. At this point I’m not sure what the issue is, I’m leaning towards a dead motherboard but I’m not sure how. (For reference I’m running a evga 80+ bronze PSU so I would doubt the PSU killed it). Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!
  3. Trying to build my first pc, all the parts I got are compatible, plugged everything in and double checked them, tried starting it, and nothing happened. Before I started building I noticed the pins on my motherboard were at an angle and took this picture as it seemed odd I looked through my motherboards manual but couldn’t find anything for this, no leds turned on and no beep codes played, I tried reseating the graphics card and ram but nothing happened, anyone have any ideas as to what went wrong?
  4. Hey. So... I have a new PC and I have been having some problems with it. Specifically with the GPU. (i think) I will give the full specks at the bottom. (GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ventus) My PC was working fine just a few days ago, as in I was able to play my games on ultra without problem, but I got an NVIDIA update and then after it finished, the games on Steam and Epic started not using the GPU for the games and the CPU started to absolutely throttle. Updating the driver was the only thing that I did. I then thought that the update was the problem, so I rolled it back, but the problem still persisted. I then restarted the system and now only a few games actually use the GPU when on. Those games would be games like AmongUs, CaveCrawlers, any game on EA, and Helldivers2. All of my other games like Hogwarts legacy, The Finals, Halo: MCC, and Warframe, still don't work. Let me know if there is anything else that yall would need to help me in this. Thanks Specks: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor Memory: TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI II ATX AM4 Motherboard Storage: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ventus 2X 12G GeForce RTX 3060 12GB 12 GB Video Card PSU: EVGA 500 BQ 500 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply
  5. Hii I'm using asus rog strix g512li.. My CPU frequency is stuck at 788Mhz, I have no overheating issues with my laptop and apart from that I have actually cleaned it again but sadly I am not seeing any change. My laptop is mostly on turbo mode but the CPU frequency is just 788Mhz doesn't matter what I do like Games Or any software..it doesn't increase a bit until I restart it 2-3 times for few seconds. Is there any solution for this
  6. Hey should I just gamble and just buy a replacement CPU already? Around November 2023 i updated my windows 11 gaming computer to the latest windows feature update (and updated some drivers) and when it restarted it blue screened and has been ill ever since. Every time i turn on the computer (and enter any OS) it will completely freeze up within 1-3 minutes. It just freezes what's on screen, the caps-lock button does nothing, and it refuses to do anything until forced off. It crashes in windows 11 pro, when installing windows on a fresh ssd (with no other drives connected), when initialising WindowsToGo (thanks to Rufus), and in ubuntu installer. What baffles me is that it doesn't crash in windows safe mode. If it's my CPU that's faulty does it behave so differently in safe mode as to not be symptomatic there? It does not blue screen, and no logs are created from the crash as far as i can tell. I can open windows reliability monitor in recovery mode and no logs are present for the time stamp the computer froze up at. The 2 pieces of hardware that i haven't been able to test are the PSU and CPU. Does my problem sound like either of them are to blame? I have attempted: MB Replacing with different model of MB (MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI) - now returned Updating BIOS to the latest one Resetting BIOS to default values Various BIOS changes (like undoing the RAM XMP profile) Storage Different M.2 drive M.2 in USB enclose Various USB drives (with various different Windows and Ubuntu installers of various vintages) Putting the various storage devices in different slots Ran SSD tester from BIOS without any errors found RAM Using each stick individually by themself Each stick in different slots in 2 separate MBs They passed the windows RAM tester They passed several hours of MemTest86 without any errors Windows Not connecting Razer devices (Huntsmen and basilisk) Removing most recent drivers GPU Problem does not change with the GPU installed or not The computer was constructed from new parts during February 2023. PC Specs: Intel Core i5-13600K 3.5 GHz (has onboard graphics) MSI PRO Z790-A WIFI ATX LGA1700 Motherboard Kingston FURY Beast 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL40 Memory (the versions that plays nice with intel XMP) Crucial P5 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (Main boot drive) Sabrent Rocket 512 GB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (Secondary drive to help debug) Corsair RM750x (2021) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case MSI 3060TI 3X 8G OC LHR A bunch of Noctua fans Additional information: Sometimes when getting into recovery options it kinda crashes and pressing any valid button just refreshes screen with bad screen tearing I have dismantled and reassembled everything on 4 separate occasions, there are no loose cables and the cpu does not have any pins to inspect I've also tried disabling network adapters from the BIOS amongst other BIOS changes The BIOS environment is stable I spoke to a computer technician at a shop and he was baffled by the problem i had, he recommended trying another compatible CPU (intel 12/13/14) and posting for help on this forum Have tried booting with only display connected Not possible: It does not appear to be possible to reset windows from recovery Or repair windows from recovery Or roll back windows updates Not tried: Replacing current 13600K CPU Replacing the power supply Throwing computer out of window Does anyone have any idea what my problem is? I just want my computer fixed so i can continue playing BG3 with my friend. Do i just buy a new CPU and test that, and return it if it doesn’t fix my problem. I’m fed up of the number of hours I’ve spent trying to fix it without results. Thanks in advanced for your help Cheers.
  7. Hello, I bought an ASUS PCE-AX58BT network card yesterday, and my computer does not recognize it. I have an Aorus b450 elite motherboard with a number of expansion slots: 2 PCI-E x1, 2 PCI-E x16, 2 M.2, with 1 PCI-E x 16 graphics card and 2 m.2 drives connected. There are 2 more drives connected via SATA. I will add info from AIDA64 about PCI devices: https://pastebin.com/0ASrUrEh I will add that I tried the card in every free PCI slot. Pls help edit It's not the network card's fault, I connected another one and it doesn't work either.
  8. So, recently I bought a second hand MSI GTX 1080ti Sea Hawk X and tried installing it replacing my 1660ti, however, I could't get past installing the geforce drivers. The drivers would almost finish installing but then the display would flash with these small glitchy looking white/purple/green lines and restart. With every restart after that, the process would repeat, windows logo would load followed by screen going blank with glitchy lines and then restart. Or it would also sometimes not restart and just say no signal. Other times the glitchy lines would stay on the screen for 5 seconds or more before restarting. The only way to break the cycle was to boot into safe mode and use DDU to clear the drivers, then it would boot into windows normally. So, as long as the drivers weren't installed or I was in safe mode everything would work fine besides obviously not being able to actually use the gpu. Not sure if this is important, but I have 2 monitors and the 1080ti would only display to one of them. The person I bought the card from claims that It was working perfectly fine before I got it, which I am inclined to believe because he has videos of it working days prior (and proof of the date). He says he's never seen the card do anything like what I showed him. The cards vRAM fan is also loud (making an RRRRR sound) and inconsistent (would spin for like 2 seconds at a time), like its struggling to spin. Which he also claimed didn't happen before. He has been doing his best to give suggestions on what the issue might be. I even tried installing it on my girlfriends pc, which is a lot more powerful and updated, yet the symptoms were the same. Even the monitor problem where it only displays to 1 of 2 monitors. Will soon also try it on my friends computer which is even more updated and powerful. I also reinstalled my old 1660ti and had no issues. Does anyone know what the issue might be? Am I installing something wrong, is there a compatibility issue, or did I just get ripped off? The attached images show what the glitchy lines look like when they flash on the screen. Any help would be great! Specs: i5-7600 Gigabyte GA-H110M-H 2x 8gb DDR4 EVGA 500w psu (tried with brand new 700w to same outcome) Windows 10 64bit What I've already tried: Installing drivers in safe mode: They install successfully but when I try to restart into normal windows the crash cycle happens again and I have to use DDU again. Installing various versions of the drivers, even the exact version the seller had used Using a higher capacity psu Letting geforce experience automatically install them Letting Windows automatically install them Cleared CMOS DDU multiple times to clear old drivers Reseating the card Ran the driver installer as administrator Tried a clean install of the drivers with nv clean install looked for MSI version of the drivers, however couldn't find the 10 series sea hawk drivers Dusting the PCIE slot Tried shutting down the pc after installing drivers in safe mode and waited 30min before starting it again IMG_4105.HEIC IMG_1906.HEIC
  9. Hello Guys, Im using a GTX 960 GPU , Rizen 5 5600g CPU, samsumg 980 pro M.2, A520M PRO motherboard, 600W PWS, 8GB ram. After complete a full windows 10 installation without any problem; windows started installing and updating some of the system drivers. Then, without any advice, the screen turned black. Me and my friend tried to restart the system multiple times with no success. Later we boot the system using the mobo integrated graphics and we noticed that now the GPU was not being recognized by the motherboard. Do you have any clue or idea of what could happened? Thank you.
  10. Hi all, I need help troubleshooting why a motherboard would have lights on but not boot up. This is a complete build that's been working for years. I opened it to clean it and reconfigure the AIO. After putting it back together i can't get it to power up. I’ve already tried: Checking the CPU and reseating it (even though I didn't remove it before) Removing and reseating ram, and using one or more sticks alone. I’ve checked and replugged power cables (24 pin + 8 pin) I’ve removed and put back the graphics card, even tried without GC in. I’ve disconnected all cables to the rear IO. And ensured power switch plugs were seated. I've jumped the 24-pin on the PSU and made sure it's working (Fan turned on). And nothing, motherboard LED are on, but nothing else is. What could I have done wrong? Parts: Asus Strix X570-E Ryzen 7 3700X 32G Corsair Vengeance 3000 GTX 1060 Update: I cleared RTC Ram with the jumper and it started for a few seconds getting to code 15 (Initializing stage) then turned off and went back to unbootable. Update 2: It was the 24-pin plug, that was moving in its socket because it was tensioned over time. hard to notice.

  12. Hey y'all My 4k main monitor is experiencing a lot of video playback stuttering, when not playing videos on 4k. This is very noticeable on youtube, Twitch and sometime on Netflix. This stuttering only occurs when the video is not on 4k, or when the video is not on full screen. It's not a problem on my other 2k monitor. (I don't use that monitor for medias coz the colours are not as good.) I don't know if it's something normal with dual monitor setup, but it's really annoying when watching videos at 1080p or 1440p. I've tried changing the cables, re-installing my GPU drivers, to no avail. My entire system is ~7 years old, except for my GPU. Could it be the monitor that's bad? somekind of bottleneck in my system? Setup: Monitor 1 (4K): LG 27UD88, DP Monitor 2 (2K): AOC AG271QG, DP GPU: RTX 3070 CPU: Ryzen 7 2700 RAM: 16GB GSkill tridentZ 3200mhz Thanks in advance!
  13. It was working fine the day before but yesterday it just didn't turn on, at all. No post, nothing at all. Tried unplugging everything and plugging it back in but nothing, resetting cmos still didn't do anything, troubleshooting ram and still same issue. The next day I just tried opening it on for the sake of it and it suddenly turned on out of nowhere, albeit no post. Reset cmos with everything removed including cpu and it worked, no freezes no change on performance. I turned it off since I was gonna sleep but the next day it doesn't post anymore and when I try to hold the power button it doesn't turn off. Could this be a power supply issue, or is it a motherboard issue? I haven't troubleshoot those two yet since I have no spare and have no one to borrow from. All help would be appreciated, thank you. 14. I recently installed Sparky Linux on my hard drive and now my PC can’t boot into Windows anymore. About my setup: I have: SSD 1 (2 Partitions, 1x Sparkylinux, 1x Windows efi boot thing) HDD 1 (Too many partitions, [1x Linux mint 22, 1x Ubuntu Studio, 1x ext4 or something just data partition], 1x Windows 11 install) SSD 2 (1 Partition, 1x Windows 10 install) What changed: Before, I got that intel mobo screen with bios, bios update and boot device selection, and then there was a blue prompt asking if I’d like to boot into Windows 10 or 11. After installing Sparky Linux, it’d have the grub with sparky Linux, UEFI settings and something else, but no windows. [I once had Linux mint instead of sparky Linux on that drive but never used it and it showed up in the Ubuntu studio grub just fine] Now, I did a lot of troubleshooting involving unplugging SSD 1 and now when booting it shows nothing for a while, then it does a 1sec beep, a pause, another one sec beep, then about a two and a half sec pause and then another one sec beep followed by another one sec beep after a short pause. Then it takes me directly to the sparkylinux installer screen. The beeps go like: BPBPPBPBP (B = beep, P = pause, PP = double or triple pause, I’m not that sure myself) If you have any suggestions like to install mint over it again, just format the sparky partition, etc., they’re all welcome. Thanks a lot. [Please keep in mind that already tried to unplug SSD 1 with no boot device being found, it also won’t boot the windows installer which I tried on two different usb sticks and 5 different ports. I also tried removing the cmos battery for a short time; it didn’t help.]
  15. I bought a Peerless Assassin 120 that comes with 2 fans that are supposed to be PWM but when I connected them (mobo: Asus TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS) it seems I can't configure their speed on the BIOS to be less than 50% and even at 50% they are always reporting to be running at 1500rpm. They seem to just always run at full speed. I tried debugging them by connecting to the chassis fan and it's the same if I choose PWM. If I select to control them as DC then I can lower their speed and see lower RPM from them. The motherboard doesn't allow to select DC/PWM for CPU fans. The fans are connected directly to the mobo. Is this a faulty product or mobo not working properly with them or any other idea?
  16. Hey guys, So I have a pretty new build that has a Ryzen 7 7700x (32 gigs RAM), Aorus B650 Elite Ax and an Nvidia 3070. The question I have is this. When I go to the device manager I see that AMD Radeon Graphics has an exclamation point next to it. I tried to resolve it by downloading AMD software but everytime it installs and I reset the PC the software is not there (if manually launched I get that the software is not compatible with my stuff). Next to that, I also see an exclamation point next to the AMD PSP 11. I'll attach the pictures belowl. If anyone knows what I should do I would really appreciate it.
  17. Greeting Ladies & Gentleman, I would like to ask for your opinion regarding my HP Compaq 6200 Pro Microtower. I have replace the original 320W HP PSU into a cooler master 500W PSU due to GPU upgrade. So i bought a convertor cable set in order to allow the desktop to operate. My issue here is whenever i run any window updates and prompt for restart. During restart, the screen will off and nothing happens. From there, i have to force switch off the desktop and when it start, i have to wait around 4 minutes while the CPU Fan will run full speed for the time being. After that, it only prompt the error code 515 CPU fan not detected which i need to Press F1 continue. The error won't prompt out anymore if i don't perform any window updates or change of hardware. I did read across some post regarding jumping a sense wire (green) from the CPU Fan onto the P2 power controller to permanent bypass the 515 CPU Fan error. Do you guys have any insights which pin at the P2 connector i should jump on? I attach the diagram of my current wire connection. Hope i get some feedback here. Thanks!!!

  20. I have a Lenovo Gaming 3 laptop, it has a problem. It crashed down and it is not able to wake up without power adapter, and after it wakes up battery precent is tuck on 0% and it always needs to be plugged in. This lasts for about 7-10 days and it again starts working as intended battery fixes it self, but it works like this for about 2-3 days, and 0% battery happens again, and like this in circle.
  21. I recently just built a new PC: CPU: I7 13700k MB: ASUS Z690-P RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000MHz GPU: RTX 3090 When i try to check the CPU temp in a monitoring software (Such as OpenHardwareMonitor) it dosent show up, In the BIOS the CPU temp reads a constant 11C. I have tried: - Motherboard has the newest BIOS ver. - Updated MB Chipset. - Atemted to update Intel ME drivers using ASUS's update tool. I only get a message saying: Please Check ME Driver installed. When i try to look at the RAM in a monitoring software it just says Generic memory, tho in the BIOS it gets identified as corsair. Tho corsair iCue is unable to detect the ram - Enable SPD Write. I Would love any kind of help
  22. Recently i upgraded on low cost PC, by buying xeon 5687 (from i7-920), 16gb RAM(from 8gb) and a cpu's cooler (from intel's stock). After few attemps set OC cpu to 4.2ghz, i decided to increase voltage (apparently increasing voltage can improve stability, which at this cpu any OC make sound stuttering/near collapse). At first i set on 1.5V and tried to run OCCT, but after 2 min i decided to against it, so i reseted pc and decrase to 1.4V (1.35 is maximum for VRM according to intel ark). Overall i abandoned OC since Cpu's tcase was exceeded on OCCT in 3 min, but then a issue happened randomly within 1H there is freeze/hang which stay until hard reset (mouse, keyboard, headphone lost connection to pc). Somehow after restart i didn't get any freeze yet (unless its turned off and left for hour(s)). Now the questions are : -How much "100%" probability its caused by cpu because of being damaged by 0.15 V above? -Is there any program to monitor and save data, to doublecheck if this caused by cpu or maybe RAM? specs: -motherboard : dx58so -ram :pc3l-12800u-11-11-a1 1.35V (old one was KHX1600C9D3K2_4G 1.5V) -cpu : intel xeon 5687 (old one i7-920) -ssd : idk, it's from samsung 250gb from lenovo g50-30 laptop. -cooler : coolermaster hyper t200 (old one Intel E29477-002) -PSU : tagan tg600-u33ii PS. sorry for any grammar mistakes, somehow it does check correctness in different language.
  23. Hi! Recently, I've built a new PC. When I first built I used a GTX 1070 while getting my hands on an RTX 3080. Since I managed to buy an ASUS TUF RTX 3080 10G I've been having troubles with my PC. When I installed it I noticed stuttering even when dragging a window through desktop. When I started gaming, my computer would randomly freeze. When it happens, I canr use ctrl + alt + del working and I don't get any black/blue screen. First I thought it was because of the game (CP2077), it happened some times, but when I finished it and wanted to play some other games, the same freezes happened. Then I started noticing really bad stuttering in BF1 and other games without FPS drops. When I updated to the new Nvidia Drivers, some artifacts popped when using Zoom and my computer crashed. After that I began to worry and I ran Heaven benchmark and the textures were all corrupted (like blue stripes all over). I restarted my computer and it was fixed, but today things got worse. My computer would freeze after 10-20 minutes of gaming or even some minutes after closing a game. I've done this troubleshoot steps: Changing ports and cables Using DDU to clean install drivers Reinstall Windows Temps are ok and I haven't done any overclocking to it. I reinstalled my old GTX 1070 and it runs without any problem, no stuttering in desktop or in games and no freezing. Any advice? My PC specs: i7 10700 ASUS TUF RTX 3080 10G 16 GB G. 24. Hi my brother fried the wifi card in his laptop and he needs a new on to keep him going till we can find the same card so that when he has to potentially return it after his phd is done it looks like nothing was changed. I have a card spare but it is keyed as an m.2 a+e and the slot in his laptop is e key. Will the differences in key matter even though it will still fit in the slot?
  25. First time poster, long time lurker. Trying to figure out what the optimal way of troubleshooting this issue would be, since all components are still under warranty. When I boot from cold, both of my monitors (one FAR worse than the other) display visual artifacting, as horizontal discolored lines, which resolves after an hour-ish. I'm forced to tear down my rig currently due to a leaking d5 pump, so I figure its a good time to go in, do a good cleaning, tidy up some cables, and get stuff out for RMA if necessary. I fear it MIGHT be the motherboard, but I have no good way to assess that currently. System specs: Intel I9-9900k MSI MEG Z390 Godlike Mobo (EKWB monoblock on for CPU and VRM cooling) 64gb Corsair Dominator RGB Ram Dual MSI RTX 2080TI SEAHAWK EK X cards (blocked from the factory, linked with single tube in a serial cooling config) Dual 560mm thick rads The GPU loop and CPU loop are completely separated, each powered by a single D5 pump. I'm looking for any help with this process. Thanks!
