Hi, I have a Gigabyte B250M DS3H and an i5-7500 I am running True NAS Scale on this computer but this is a hardware issue. I started with one Crucial 8GB memory module. CT8GDFRA32A The computer worked fine with this, but when I upgraded to an extra 3 sticks of RAM, the system boot loops. 2 sticks of RAM in any dual channel configuration work fine, but all 4 and the PC boot loops. When I shut it down, and remove 2 sticks, it turns on fine but the BIOS is reset. I have tried a CPU reseat but that did not fix the problem. Does anyone have any ideas about what this could be?

Hi everyone, not very familiar with this platform but I hope I’m doing this right. I got a new desktop from a guy on a buy and sell I was told it was a power supply issue and he just didn’t want it so I picked it up for cheap replaced the psu and everything spun to life however, when I went to plug my monitor in the pc is not posting/ not displaying anything I’ve been missing around with it for a few hours now trying to figure it out but I’m absolutely stumped so I’m hoping so people smarter than me on here could help me out here is what I’ve tried so far 1. I’ve done all the ram checks a man would need plugged it into different dims plugged it into a different pc cleaned them cleaned the dims tried 1 ram stick in all the slots then tried it with the other 3 2. tried unplugging all cords that don’t have anything to do with the motherboard and apart from the cpu fan 3. cleaned the entire board using a dry cloth 4. Made sure the cpu was compatible with the motherboard it is a Asrock H170A-X1 and a Intel i7 7700 everything checks out there 5. Checked the motherboard slot for any bent pins everything looks clear I even used a magnifying glass and good lighting 6. tried resetting the cmos replacing the cmos 2 times and cleaning the cmos port 7. inspected the motherboard for any visual damage ie burns or scratches noticed no damage at all side note: i did get it to boot into bios once while playing around with the ram but it got stuck on the bios screen and didn’t allow me to click anything although the keyboard I was using powered on fine all fans spin like normal. I got it to boot into bios fully last night while plugging out all cords but it didn’t work again after that. I’ve been told by a buddy it’s a motherboard issue and another that it was a cpu issue and another that it was a ram issue however the ram runs fine in another machine and i have no way of testing the motherboard besides the cpu i have now im starting to lose the motivation on trying to fix this guy and I’m but I really don’t think it’s deserving of an ewaste bin if there is any questions I can answer please do ask I’m looking for any suggestions at all

Hello, I have a few spare pc parts from older computers and I wanted to use them to create an entertainment pc for my living room to play party games on. I have two 1060's that are the same brand and model. Would I get any more performance out of my computer if I put both of them in or would it be best to just put one in? Thank you for your help

Hello, I've built a gaming pc pretty much. But the cpu and cpu coolers have not been installed yet. This is because when I ordered everything Amazon failed to deliver my cpu so it's coming at a later date. To pass time I decided to create the build without the cpu and see what happens. Everything looks good but it won't start up? Well when I turn the power supply on only the top right of the motherboard lights up in rgb. Is this because I've built something wrong or is it just the cpu missing. Basically my question is, can everything in a pc run without the cpu? Fans, etc. Here is the build. Is everything looking good or did I mess up somewhere? And the cpu is coming tomorrow so I'm only reassuring my self.

I've recently built a new a pc running windows 10 pro and im experiencing random crashes on games like valorant and rain 6 siege. Currently my pc is running a ryzen 7 770x and 3060ti with 32gb of ram. The game will run very smoothly for a while and then randomly freeze and crash. I'm at an absolute loss as to how to fix it and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've been trying to find a motherboard for my Intel i7 6700t And the supported socket is the FC LGA1151 And I know they fit with regular LGA 1151 motherboards. I was wondering If there is a compatibility issue and I will need to buy a new motherboard or I can use my regular LGA 1151 motherboard Thanks

This is a a mobile device question but still curious if anyone here knows the answer. I'm on Galaxy Note 20 Ultra running Android 11. Does anyone know if there's a setting somewhere where you can set a default image tag for Screenshots taken in a specific app. For example. Can I set my phone to automatically tag any screenshot taken in the AFK Arena application with "AfkArena" or do I have to manually tag the images each time.

Built a new PC for my brother not too long ago (Ryzen 5 5600G, 16 GB, MSI B550M Mortar Wifi) and it worked for a while, until it didn't. He was playing a game when it started. The problem is with the CPU as claimed by the Debug LED lights on the motherboard. We tried plugging the PSU cables in again, tried just letting it cool down even over night, tried clearing the CMOS and tried the infamous turning it off and on again. I really hope the CPU isn't fried so I want to try everything before I declare that it is. What can i try to do to get it working again?

Hi, I recently bought a 1070 to replace my 1060, found one at a decent price and was like "why not" I dont quite know what to do with the other card, so I was wondering, is it possible to put two cards in the same system, but have my 1070 be the one I play with and use my monitors with, and have my 1060 be the one I would say record gameplay clips and such , personally I dont want to put the card to waste by not using it, I heard it is possible but I wanna get your guys opinion.

Hello, once again I seek help from those whom never let me down so far, I have a crippling problem with the game Rocket League, randomly while playing the game or while accidently disconnecting the controller physically the controller (xbox series x controller) will sometimes reconnect as usual but then NOT WORK. Resetting the game entirely does not work, when launching the game it will activate the "push any button to start" screen and also the controller works in every other way when trying to use headphones to playing other games, it is not defective for sure. it just wont operate rocket league once pass the very main screen. Re-plugging in the controller doesn't fix the problem, going wireless doesn't fix the problem, in fact the only thing at all that does is a system reboot, I am pulling hairs out mad PLEASE for the love of anything help me even if you have the slightest idea and thats it. I have windows 10 as my OS

Hey guys this is my first time posting to the ltt forums, I'm hoping if anyone can help. The problem is my asus rog strix scar II will dump its charge after being off for a few hours (The percentage of battery displayed doesn't matter) and then it shuts down. Here's recording of what it does . I got the laptop in august 2019, I've tried getting it sorted with asus, but they only replaced the battery (which I suspected wasn't the issue) and the same issues still persists, I'm currently trying to sort it out with asus but they're being a massive pain in the arse about it. P.s. I have a theory that the battery drain could be due to a faulty LED diode on the ROG eye on the back of the screen, but I have yet to test it. Any help would be much appreciated.

CPU AMD 3800XT Mobo Crosshair VII GPU GTX 2070 Ram Corsair 3600mhz 2x8gb PSU Corsair HX750i So I just moved and my PC was working fine etcetc, when I plugged it in I got the Qcode “8” which I know is a CPU related issue. When I have the 8pin and 4pin plugged into the CPU I get no CPU lights but taking the 8pin out leaving the 4pin in I get the red CPU light. When I power on the CPU fan spins then shuts off, the GPU stays powered. I’ve reseated my ram multiple times. When I tried to reflash BIOS it didn’t actually work through the USB port on the back either. What should I do? I’m lost at this point

The RTX 2060 in my helios 300 with i7 9th gen CPU goes upto 86 degrees and stays constant at 86 (while playing games at ultra and optimized by geforce experience), the CPU is unervolted and I use a laptop cooler as well, the temperature hasn't changed regardless, I dowloaded a throttlesttop preset from the acer community website specific to my model, but that only helps reducing the cpu and the system temps not the GPU temps, any solution to this or did i get a faulty model? Ah yes, the laptop is just 2 months old so it might not be a thermal issue and I clean the fans every week or so. Any help would be appreciated.

I built a computer for my friend today. got it all assembled and when I went to boot it up it kept boot looping. I've tried seemingly everything I possibly could, reseating the ram, reseating the CPU, plugging and unplugging every single thing in the computer, taking out the wifi card and graphics card, and I cleared the cmos. I cant think of anything else I could possibly do. any help? I recently got a new GPU and Ive been having issues with my pc that I feel like can be attributed to like a single setting or hardware issue but I cannot find it. I Mostly play Overwatch and most of the issues revolve around it: I get 200-240 FPS average and a 1% low of 5-ish frames and a 0.1% low of 2 fps. Games crash, disk goes to 100% randomly, downloading games on gigabit internet and a brand new ssd takes very very long: sitting on 1 kb/s on 0% network usage, and crashes on absolutely everything. No real overclocking, everything is up to date except bios, and temps are normal. System wasnt always perfect im not confident its the GPU. Most of the parts are several years old. So last year i bought an rx6700xt, and with it a whole new desktop, but after putting the rig togheter there was way more crashes in games ike CP2077, Elden Ring, RDR2 and with every crash there's a system message that says application X was blocked from accessing graphics hardware. I've tried to find the issue but to no avail so now im desprate and need actual help and not some sort of 5 minute guide on youtube on how to fix it. The fixes i've done are as follows: set TdrDelay and TdrDdiDelay Updated and redownloaded (DDU) drivers, more times than i care to recall. Tested if XMP boost was the issue. Set PCIE to gen 3 instead of auto. Updated bios. Ran several stresstests on furmark each being tougher on the system than the last, without any issues even tho games crash every ~30 min. Checked if my cooling was the issue which it wasn't. It's stable around 50-60 C on high workload. Did the pin test on my PCU. As i said im desprate on a fix so im hoping you would be able to suggest any ideas or fixes potentially. Thanks in advance. System Specs: Amd Ryzen 9 3900x Rx6700xt b450 tomahawk max windows 10 home Corsair 750w (dont remember the exact model.) 32gb 3600mhz corsair vengance. NVMe ssd 970 1tb

Hey, I'm looking into building a gaming pc for a few games mainly heavily modded Minecraft and Skyrim. I would also be playing some Fortnite on it. I have a really low budget of 500 USD as I'm the East Coast of the US. I have a parts that I will be using already such as two hard drives. I am also hopefully getting a motherboard from my biological father. So that will bring up a little more room into the budget. I am going for at least 16 GB but I'm unsure of what processor to use and what graphics card I should get. I will be running the PC on a flat-screen TV that I already have. I don't have any other monitors to use so it will only be that monitor. I have a list of parts that I might want to use which brings my total to 416. But I don't know if I should go for a different piece of hardware or to keep it where I'm at.
