So I'm having some trouble with my headset (PC38X) and speakers (Logitech Z623). For whatever reason, I can't seem to run the both of them if they are plugged into my B450 Tomahawk. If I plug the headset into the front IO, everything works fine but I'd much rather prefer plugging them into the motherboard to reduce as much static as possible. However, if I plug both into the motherboard Realtek doesn't separate the sources. It just acts as if only the speakers are plugged in. And if I move the speakers to the front io and leave the headset on the motherboard, the volume doesn't reach the same max level it does when my headsets are plugged into the front io. I have a DAC coming on the way, but in the mean time if anyone has had a similar issue or knows some trick, please let me know.

I have some audio issues on my Motorola moto g8 power. The volume is basically always very low, low like it would be in a call. After a few minutes of video playback the audio suddenly goes to normal volume, and 5-10 seconds after that the video is auto-paused. When I resume the video the audio is low again. First noticed the problem with headphones, where they would occasionally go silent, somehow "disconnect" and pause(even though the headphones were still connected), and then it would play on built in speakers when the video started again. Reconnecting headphones worked, but only temporarily. I couldn't find anyone else with these issues. Any help is appreciated!

Hi guys, I recently bought Audio Technica M50xbt2 headset. The issue is that when I'm on discord and playing a game discord will stay quiet and the game will have the volume priority - it seems like it believes my Windows pc is a phone. Does anyone have any ideas in how I could fix this?

Hello everyone. For the past few months I've been experiencing a sound issue that appears to be without a cause or solution. In my case it's happening throughout the day pretty much constantly with the only difference being how noticable it is at any given time. It is best described as crackling or popping and at times of online calls via discord or teamspeak all the sound being of robotic nature. I upgraded my build barely a year ago and it is now roughly four months since i started noticing it and it's been getting worse ever since. The issue is noticable no matter the output device, all of which are fine when connected to other devices. I tried clean installing the OS (w10) and upgrading to w11, turning off the ftpm in bios and the onboard sound card once i bought a PCIe one which did not solve the issue, i even tried to move the sound card and the NVMe between the available PCIe/M.2 slots. Additionally, i disabled all the sound devices except for the sound card with no improvement. As a last resort, i tried to take the PC to a friend out of town because i read that there is such a thing as a "drity electricity" and that also did not solve my issue. I also took the whole PC apart and put it back together again. For the past month i've had my mobo in RMA but it was declined with the explanation "No issue found/manifested". *BIOS was the latest at the time of trying the RMA, upgrading it did not resolve the issue. My build MOBO: ASUS TUF GAMING X570 PLUS CPU: AMD R5 5600G GPU: ASUS DUAL RTX3070 8G RAM: 2x16GB Kingston FURY 3200MT/s (in slots A2/B2 as per the mobo's manual) OS NVMe: 250GB Samsung 960 PRO (w11 currently, installed right below the CPU) SOUD CARD: ASUS STRIX SOAR PSU: Evolveo G650 80+ Gold (roughly 5-6 years old) Monitors: WQHD Phillips and a FHD samsung 2 500GB 2,5" SATA SSDs, 1 2TB HDD just a few months old, 1TB HDD a few years old I also have a recording of my issue. The desync between audio and video appeared along with the start of the recording via nVidia SW. Thanks in advance to whomever will try to help.

A week ago i updated windows 10 (updated , not installed...) and after that my sound was like 50% of what it actually is... maybe even less! There are also some new ''enchancements'' but even though i played with them , it didnt rly do any difference. Please help! When i do sound tests or if it kinda ''bugs'' while changing settings on volume in games for example, the sound is heard normally for like a milisecond. Anyway i need some help, probably there is a setting or sth blocking me from having normal sounds

Hello!, So i have the GA Z170X Gaming 7 motherboard and the audio input for my microphone isn't working. Whenever i talk into it, it'll pick up on really loud peaks and then either distort or fail outright to hear anything else. i know my headset mic works (tried it on my phone). I've tried the following: restart clear cmos most audio settings i could find switching to front panel audio plugs (same problem) Yes its in the correct port, it was working up until about a month ago. I've done a little research and found out the mobo is known to have some audio output distortion, but i'm not getting that. my specs in case its relevant intel i5 6600k 16gb g-skill ddr4 at 2400 Megahertz gtx 980ti corsair vs650 hyper x cloud core. the only variable i haven't tested is the y spliter although i doubt it's broken because i've treated it pretty well and the output is fine. the attached file is my phone playing rickroll about 2 centimeters (0.8 inches) away from the mic. should this be in the audio or motherboard sub-forum thanks in advanced and post any other questions you have. not suspicious audio file.m4a

I've been using a pair of ADX H01 headphones for the longest time now. Sadly the 3.5mm mic jack recently broke off. I am now experiencing my mic relaying headset sound instead of mic input on my new headset. That just happens to be exactly what the mute button on my previous headset did, so my guess is that it would be the driver causing it as I might have had it muted when the jack broke off. Anyone have any idea what it is and how to fix it?

Hi guys. So as the title says I've recently come into a strange issue where when I am playing a game my headset just stops producing sound after a few minutes together with this, websites like Youtube, Netflix, etc stop working and for instance on YouTube the video goes into an infinite loading icon screen. I have tried everything from reinstalling drivers, to uninstalling the device, setting it as a primary sound device etc, but nothing seems to be working. Can anyone help me because this is pretty much my last resort... My headset is an Astro A50 with base station Playstation/PC Edition

I’ll start this briefly and expand I had a PC built for me several years ago which lasted for approx 5 years before encountering this issue stated above I was unable to fix this issue simply, so I bought new parts and made a new computer, This new PC also suffers the same problems.. Fast forward a year and I’m at my wits end unable to afford another computer trying to fix this miserable heap of expensive parts. specs: OS: Windows 10 Home CPU: i5-9600k MB: (2) Asrock z390 extreme 4 & Asus z390-f gaming GPU: inno3d GeForce GTX ichill 1070 RAM: G skill trident z 2x8GB 3000 PSU: EVGA supernova 650G+ 80+gold CPU cooler: Jonsbo CR-201 white M2: Samsung 970 evo plus 1TB This issue comes and goes, when it starts, it usually gets worse. symptoms: audio popping or cracking (usually quiet then louder) Visual issue occurs at any time (login screen would show distorted image & tearing) if you launch an application or video, this will crash, event logs are unhelpful If I open discord, generally it works briefly; if I use the microphone this will produce a loud pop or crack and discord will crash. applications such as Google Chrome will hang/crash or say oops page failed to load, if not it will generally progress and distort the text and colours on the screen until it goes non responsive games will start off okay if they can launch, they proceed to also pop or crackle then the screen will distort and tear before the sound cuts out and the game crashes Ive done all amounts of testing on this computer listed below - removing graphics card and using on board instead - Changed monitors & cables (hdmi and dvi-d) - reformatted pc (several times during all the steps mentioned) - Swapped M2 drives and reinstalled windows - swapped ram around - performed stress tests on machine with all hardware passing test - removing all cables and reseating all hardware onto new motherboard - update all drivers and bios on asrock motherboard - uninstalled all drivers via safe mode with networking and reinstalled - performed check disk probably missed others but you get the gist will literally beg for help, I’m writing this on the night of Christmas Eve feeling like the definition of someone in complete despair and failing to obtain any joy If anyone can help at all please sincerely, matt

I have this really annoying popping/crackling sound coming from my audio, it appears that it comes forth when using any form of program/app-related audio. It is extremely annoying and very present when listening to constant sounds such as Spotify or while gaming, however it doesn't appear as frequently or rather next to nothing when doing browser related stuff like streaming or watching Youtube. The popping is especially sharp when audio is cut off/interrupted, for ex. when i pause a youtube video, then it is easily noticed. Here is a video showing an example, as seen in it the popping only appears when listening to the program section, but not when listening directly to the headphones. Video link: The popping/crackling that appears in the video when i press the volume slider for "Systemljud" aka system sound, is extremely prevalent in many programs, PUBG, Spotify, Wolfenstein 2, Vermintide 2 and etc. I'm not sure if it came before or after i got a new PC a some months, back I can't quite remember but I'm pretty sure that it was there back then as well. At first i thought it was my old headset (Steelseries siberia 800) but it is present in my new headphones as well. (Audio Technica AD700x) What I have tried: Updating drivers switching headphones switching headphone jack tried a USB adapter to which I'm pretty sure uses a small soundcard to convert 3.5mm jacks into USB changing format quality (currently running my lowest 44100hz 16 bit) removing any "improvements" under audio configurations and a bunch of other small random things like changing energy/power options in windows for example. I have also tested out latency with DPC Latency but it gave me a very inconsistent read and since i was unfamiliar with the procedure I didn't really count too much on it, maybe I should...? My guess is that windows 10 is having some sort of issue, but I just can't figure out what it is. Please type in any theory or suggestion, thank you! I recently updated to windows 10 and ever since, while playing a steam game, I lose all sound from the game but I get sound from everything else. What could be the issue?

Hi, Ever since i switched to intel i have been having a issue with my sound dropping out from web browsers and media players, the sound not only drops out though but it lags the video down to 1-2 FPS. It will persist with this issue until i go into my sound options and reconfigure my default, it doesn't change the default i just have to select it and choose configure, it then proceeds to prompt me that an application is using this even if i have everything closed. Then it goes back to normal no lag and audio is back. Also in games it will randomly alt+tab me for no reason and when i shut the pc down, cmd always has an error code. I recently formatted my computer thinking it was a virus but it hasn't helped and looked everywhere for solutions as im new to intel. Does anyone know how to fix this? Hi all, I've recently bought a HyperX Cloud headset and trying to use it with the onboard SupremeFX driver on my Maximus VII Hero. When I plug in the headset to the front audio jack on the Define R4 case, SonicSense within SupremeFX automatically detects headphone impedance. It will make a pop noise during detection, then conclude that the headphone is between 65 to 150 ohms impedance. However, isn't the HyperX Cloud a 60 ohm headset? The effect of this (I think) is it's making sounds by default sound very mushy and hollow(?) - i.e. like there's hardly any bass and lots of sharp tearing noises in games or music. (I'm not too good with audio, but this is very noticeable, especially since it is a gaming headset). There's no way to disable or change the impedance setting in SupremeFX other than to set the device as "Front Speaker Out" when plugging in, which doesn't disable my external speakers. SupremeFX driver is latest to date v6.0.1.7326. So my questions are: 1. Is this wrong impedance detecting bad for the headset? 2. Anyone have similar issues have any other suggestions (preferably without having to spend any more money)?
