Hey guys, I've recently started beefing up the internal appearance of my computer. My goal is to have every single cable inside that case sleeved. So far the SATA-power cables, the front pwr, reset and HDD cables and the HD-Audio-cable are sleeved. The GPU-, CPU- and 24PIN-power cables are next. I've also found sleeving for the SATA-Data-cables, so they are nearly done, as well. However, there is one problem: the internal USB 3.0- cables running from my front I/O to the mainboard. I have a Corsair 400C with two USB 3.0 connectors on one end and the thick 20-pin-connector on the other. As of now I haven't found a way to get sleeving around those cables. Another problem is the thickness of the I/O-side. They are not regular USB-terminals, but have a thick part to it (no idea how to explain that better in english, sry), so a screw can go through them. The foto (link) shows a similar product. Mine only has the two terminals separate with two screwholes each: Picture I've cut a spare cable that was laying around in half to see if I can solder that stuff together again. It looks pretty complicated. Do you guys have an idea how I can tackle this challenge? Best regards August

Hello, I would like to sleeve the cables for my computer. I have a Seasonic 660p Platinum PSU. So some quick questions: 1. What do I need 2. How are the pins in the attached Image called? (maybe also in German) 3. Where can I get this Stuff? (I am from Austria) Pins, Plugs, Pliers for Pins, Sleeving 4. What is the approximate cost for sleeving myself a kit consisting of: - 1 x 24 Pin ATX - 1 x 8 Pin EPS/CPU - 1 x 8 Pin PCIe - 1 x 6 Pin PCIe - 1 x SATA Power for 4 Sata Devices (2 x SSD, 1 x Hue+, 1 x Fanhub of Define S) Cables aren't a problem, as I already have a whole lot of 1,5mm² flexible cables. Thank you and Regards, Robin Also sorry for any bad english...

I recently got the new Alienware 15 R3, and its a larger computer. It's longer compared to most normal 15" computers. I bought BOTH of the official Alienware sleeves for the 15 and 17 inch computers, and those were both too shallow. Are there any good, quality carrying cases/sleeves that are as deep as the Alienware 15 R3??? I'm TRIGGERED because I can't find any that would fit. I'm having to use a cheap Samsonite 17" bag. 1. Height: 1 inch (25.4mm) | 2. Width: 15.3 inches (389mm) | 3. Depth: 12 inches (305mm) | Average Weight: 7.69 lbs (3.49 kg)i

Hi, My holiday are coming up, and I would like to learn custom sleeve cables. I been watching and reading alot but it still rather confusing. I am going to buy a EVGA 600-750W P2. Questions: 1) What cable type of cable? Most sites say use 18AWG, so I am sticking to it, but there are different types like UL1007 ,UL3239 etc? 2) Only female terminals required for PSU, graphics card etc power? 3) is there anything I should look out for when sleeve from EVGA? I understand that different PSU are different in their wiring. For tools, I have most of them (due to school), except the crimping tool. I am getting my stuff from china (taobao) as it is rather cheap. There are alot of different Female terminals too, it is a little hard to find even with google translate. This is probably what i am getting: (any advise welcome if I get the wrong thing) UL3239 18AWG https://world.tmall.com/item/534361520337.htm?id=534361520337&ali_refid=a3_430620_1006:1110290364:N:18AWG%20%E7%94%B5%E5%AD%90%E7%BA%BF:8b60bcc9fd4f9afe3c72cf90f634fc99&ali_trackid=1_8b60bcc9fd4f9afe3c72cf90f634fc99&spm=a312a.7700714.0.0.6uS0sG&sku_properties=122216547:20213 Female terminals https://world.taobao.com/item/23192000155.htm?fromSite=main&spm=a312a.7700824.w4002-2467365045.20.XiBsWf https://world.taobao.com/item/20796880994.htm?fromSite=main&spm=a312a.7728556.0.0.QsndV7 Thank you. I live in usa wisconsin. I ordered 2x 8pin PCI-E Sleeved Cable Extension , 2x 6pin PCI-E Sleeved Cable Extension , 1x 24pin Sleeved Cable Extension , and 1x 8pin EPS Sleeved Cable Extension . Theyre all custom all dark grey sleeves. Order was placed September 10th(2017) and its the 20th. Status is still in "awaiting fulfillment". I left them an email on monday night around 6-8 pm and its wednesday Sept 20th 5pm but no replys yet. This is my first time ordering from mainframe and im still waiting. Good thing I didnt pay $30-60+ days for them other shipping options!!! If customized order usually takes longer then I will give them another chance and will wait patiently.

I'm trying to find a sleeve for my XPS 15 and i seriously can't find a single one that fits the dimensions of it. WxHxD = 357x17x235 (mm). Would be superb if any1 could find a sleeve for it, preferrably leather or something else a little bit more premium.

Hi guys, long time Linus fan here but new in the forum. I'm a sleever and cable maker from Italy, today I'd like to share with you some of my most interesting and unique works I've had a sweet spot for custom cables ever since I became a PC enthusiast, and lately I've been experimenting with braids, new materials, cable illumination, and a lot of other fancy things. Cable making today is kind of a dying sector of modding for a lot of reasons and I'm quite sad about it. I hope to inspire other people into getting to try it! Opinions and critics are very appreciated Silver cables: only electrical cable - no sleeving. The cable is silver-plated copper with transparent teflon insulation, really high quality stuff that is usually used in aerospace applications. It reflects and refracts light like no other and it's truly wonderful in a well-lighted and/or RGB build: the more light you give around it, the more it starts looking like illuminated optical fiber. Braided cables: after trying my hand with a really complex prototype that was looking wonderful but wasn't able to finish completely (inspired by the Crysis nanosuit), I went on doing more simple braidings. However there's still much more to be experimented in this area! Would really love to see what other people come up with

I have this power supply: https://www.fsplifestyle.com/PROP163000554/ It's mounted with fan facing down in my case, my case doesn't allow any other orientation. The fan rattles under load, which can be fixed by slapping the case a few times until it stops, but I don't imagine that being good for the rest of the components, and it's getting tiring. I'm wondering if it would be possible to replace the fan inside. It is a 120mm fan and I have a spare one that I could use, but I'm not sure what sort of header it would have. I also know it can be dangerous to work on power supplies, so I was wondering if anyone would have tech tips on how to do so safely, or if there are any disassembly guides. I've searched the web for a little while but couldn't find anything.

I just received my new Razer Blade 15 today and I love it so far but I do want some protection. I have a backpack that can accomodate laptops but I'd like another layer especially when it's outside of the bag. Does anyone know the best laptop sleeve for a 15 inch laptop? I'd also prefer a sleeve with a flap of some sort rather than a zipper just to decrease the potential for scratching the new Blade. This one (https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07D6BD4X1/ref=sspa_dk_detail_2?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07D6BD4X1&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_p=4e9e4514-4dde-46ee-97c2-44451b168c2e&pf_rd_r=XKV2FH7833XRSY1SJZDY&pd_rd_wg=wVkgs&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&pd_rd_w=pdA4Y&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pd_rd_r=c96ed7e8-a6eb-11e8-b080-71094660cd81) says it can accomodate a 15.6" laptop such as the Dell XPS 15 which is the same size as the Blade I believe. This one (https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Inateck-MacBook-Microsoft-Surface-Compatible/dp/B00KYN3974/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1535039214&sr=8-6&keywords=macbook%2Bsleeve&th=1) this one also says it can fit the Dell XPS 15. My issue with both of them is that they are marketed towards the 15.4" Macbook and not specifically to other laptops like 15.6". Many thanks!

Heya! I've seen posts in the past asking how this is done, yet there never were any straight-forward instructions.. I'm actually not sure why I havn't posted this here yet, but here you go! Disclaimer: This is NOT like the Cablemod AIO Sleeve, this is quite a bit more challenging. I already summed all the steps up in an Imgur Post: https://imgur.com/a/nz8jE3F Feel free to ask me any questions, (@Mods: Should I copy pasta the content of the imgur post here?)

I know this topic has got to be beaten to death by now, but I know we have some serious pros in here who can help me get some cables for my new PC. So, I would like to have zero unplugged/extra connections. I am unsure of how many cables I would need and how long to have them made. I am ordering from CableMod. So is there a typical length that works pretty well? and how can I plug everything in without having extra unplugged connections. My RM100i has so many unplugged connections with the default wiring. Here is what I am working with that requires power: Case: Corsair 600c Inverse Mobo: Asus x99pro SSD: SAMSUNG 850 Pro GPU: Nvidia 1080fe So I shouldn't have much extra cables, but do people sleeve the cables that connect components to the mother board? Thanks Linus Fam

So i bought a corsair rmi 650 psu, i want to custom sleeve it but cant get any of the pins out i bought some tools and tested them on both this and a thermaltake tr2 500w psu, on the thermaltake they worked just fine and could take out the pins with ease, but for some reason i could not take any of the corsair pins out. i ended up breaking the pin removal tool in the process as well >.> is there possibly something different with rmi psu cable that i am not seeing? thanks for the help in advance!

So I am currently on the hunt for sleeved Cables. On the one hand for sleeved Sata data cables in black turquoise or light gray. I am leaning to black at this point because it would go with most builds in the future quite easily and colour matching with other distributers would be much easier. I found several deals online but where I live it seems that Bitfenix just offers 30 cm cables and Silverstone offers just up to 50 cm. There are some brands that have 100 cm cables but they are not sleeved. Ideally i would liketo have somewhat in between 50 and 100 cm which are sleeved in black Paracord with straight connectors(non angled). 50 cm are just too short for making a clean run in my case. Right now i have a mess of 4 different types of data cables which are crossing all over each other because: firstly I don't have any other cables and I scavenged what I could find from (at this point) 3 or 4 different motherboards secondly they are for the most part just a bit too short for running them cleanly. On the other hand I am looking for sleeved extensions that can be customly configured in the colours black turquoise and light or dark gray. There I would need every "normal" cable (24 pin, 8 pin cpu, 6 pin pcie, 8 pin pcie, sata power) even if I don't need them now I will need them in the future because the way we wire computers will not change that much in the next few years. I would like to go with extensions so i could use them with every PSU although I don't plan on switching my PSU in the near future, since I just recently acquired a BeQuiet Dark Power Pro (80plus Platinum) and full cable sets and/or connectors for those are really hard to come by. So sleeving myself is not the best option, because I highly doubt that i could do it cleanly enough to be so confident that I cut up a 160 euro PSU. There I discovered this site only they seem to even have turquoise Paracord. Does anyone have experience with the linked site? Are they reliable? Are those cables any good? Does anyone know where I could get cables in those colours or SATA data cables above 50 cm which are sleeved? Thanks for every reply!

So, i'm building my first PC and I would like it to be Green themed, but being my first build I dont want to go all out. That being said I wanted to ask if anyone knows where I could buy a Green Sata (Data) cable, or at least a sleeve that would work with a black one. Its just something simple, but I just think the red sata cable would put me off. I would appreciate a link to a page that sells to europe or a recomendation on how to do it. Also preferably I would like the cable NOT to be shiny. (If posible)

Hey there! I recently build my new pc, but there is something I really want to change after I finished it, and that is the cables of the PSU. My PSU is the Corsair CS750M 750W 80 Plus Gold, semi modular, so I know that I can't change all the cables (my fault ) I would like to start changing the cables for the graphics card, since they are the ones that most visible are. My graphics card is the MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 100 ME 4GB GDDR5, I have been doing some research and I think this are the ones that I need: -http://www.amazon.com/BitFenix-Alchemy-Multisleeve-8-Pin-Extension/dp/B00HVBP9TI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1428844121&sr=8-2&keywords=bitfenix+cables -http://www.amazon.com/BitFenix-Alchemy-Multisleeve-6-Pin-Extension/dp/B00FQQB2BY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1428844121&sr=8-3&keywords=bitfenix+cables Am I right? or there is something to change / better cables? Thanks a lot!

I'm fixing my Alienware M15x laptop and one of the fans has become seriously unbalanced and extremely noisy. I have a few questions: - What is the "Brushless" marking on the fan? I assume it has to do with motor for spinning the fan but I'm just curious as this is the model I currently have installed. - If it's a sleeved bearing fan should I go with the one linked above or this hydraulic bearing fan from AVC? - My computer runs about 60 to 80 degrees Celsius, so I'm not sure which fan would do better in a higher heat environment and which one would run more quietly in a such a high heat environment?

How hard it is to remove the sleeves from the PSU cables?
pepporony posted a topic in Power Supplies
I intended to order Super Flower Leadex Gold for my build and apply the blue sleeves individually. However, I just saw the review on http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story2&reid=370 and look like they were sleeved already. My question is how hard it is to remove these pre-sleeved? Can we remove them and keep for future use (except the heatshrink) or do we have to cut the sleeve open?
