my motherboard vga cable is dead, I dont hv enough money to buy a grpahic card or a new motherboard, I hv like $20 and i was wondering if i could buy a external vga port and do something, Btw pls help

so i just lubed my keyboard without desoldering it, yes it is possible, but this is the first time i lubed a switch. at the first i tried to lube the arrow keys switches, they sound amazing after lubing and everything is normal. so i repeated the lubing process to the other keys. putting the same amount of lube over and over again. 3 hours later i am done soldering, so i put the keycaps back on and my god they sound amazing, smooth, clicky most importantly it thoccs. but it started sending random inputs, i am dissapointed, the keyboard sounded amazing, i want to use it normally everyday. but its just a hard work of nothing. can someone help me with my keyboard?

Y'all, i messed up BIG TIME and accidentally wiped an 8tb drive with diskparts "clean" command, thinking it would scan the drive and fix errors. it sure as hell didnmt and there was some very important shit on there. WHAT DO I DO? It was a drive i used for plex and home movies and i cannot afford data recovery. HELP PLEASE

send help I had 2 nvme drives in my pc I removed one to use as an external drive and formatted it now I'm trying to boot the pc but it fails with an error "windload.efi missing" It was not the OS drive so idk why, the OS drive is the second nvme in my pc I have a windows10 installation on a bootable usb stick anyway to fix the boot with it? edit: iirc I originally installed windows on one drive and then reinstalled on the other, could it be that the responsible boot partition stayed on the first drive which I now removed and formatted and that's why it doesn't boot although windows is installed on the other drive which is in my pc?

Hey Guys, I have encountered several problems with my PC in the last few days(PC is less than a week old) HDD problems (freezing and Win10 Notifications) and 2 BSOD tregarding Memory_Management. So lets start: No Problems for 2 Days BLOD with MEMORY_MANAGEMENT Error -> BIOS Update with complications No Problems for a few Days, again Windows reports problems with the HDD, PC is really slow -> Restart -> Windows can`t boot -> Wipe the HDD clean and use USB-Stick to reinstall Windows 10 Pro-> installing Loop, restarting PC, Win10 works fine No Problems for a few Days Random freezes while playing Games -> Windows 10 mentions HDD problems again -> Download Seagates Drive tool -> SMART Status Good -> Easy Fast Test is Completed -> Easy Long Test is Completed -> Fast reperation Completed -> Long Reperation leads to BLSOD after 28% with MEMORY_MANAGEMENT ERROR trying to recreate can`t at this moment So on Monday a stick of RAM and a SSD will arrive, i`ve Changed SATA Slots on the MOBO and replaced the Sata Cables aswell what else could be the Problem?

So I'll admit, I know absolutely nothing about thunderbolt 3. But what i want to do is have one setup where i have a desktop computer (with tb3 card) for gaming, and when I need to work on something on my laptop, I can plug it in to a thunderbolt dock that switches it to all my monitors and USB devices. What do i need to buy and how to set it up? (Btw one of my monitors have 144hz, and I'd like to still utilize that. Both are 1080 however)

Recently finished assembling my new system, and one of the first things I tried to do was enable my RAM's XMP boost... only to find that doing so causes the system to refuse to post, which forces me to clear the CMOS and try again. Luckily, the board I'm using has 2 XMP profiles you can enable; one at the maximum rated clock for your memory modules (in my case, 3000), and another at a clock approximately halfway between that point and the default speed (in my case, 2667). The latter works fine, and is what I'm currently using. The former does not, though. Is this a common issue? If so, how can I resolve it?

Hello everyone, Since my brother graduated from his primary school, I wanted to gift him a pc to play some decent games(CS:GO,Dota,fortnite and some photoshop work).I actually had an pc from my middle school days It was built on a budget but it was amazing.So a month i tried to power it on and I installed windows 10 64x bit on it and it worked.Almost 5years old pc with older parts but thats not the case,the main problem I have is occurs when I try to install the Nvidia drivers for the gpu.I get blue screen everytime I try to install the nvidia drivers and its the most awkward thing i ever seen so far.So after that happend i actually gave the pc for service to the one of the best computer service/repair comp. and 2days ago they gave it to me.When i asked if it was working and he answered "no".He told me that the actually gpu and motherboard doesn't match and I was shocked.I actually did game on this pc like a year ago and it was all fine.It was still windows 10 and 64x I just changed the hdd since i built a new one.I got home and tried some guides and other stuff on forms after like 5 hours of searching it was all the same.I was still getting the blue screen and so on.I decided to try a diffrent and a newer hdd,again it didn't worked.I tried to use my 1060 on the pc and it was all working fine!Like what the hellonories?So I took the 470 and tried on my computer and guess what?It WORKED ON MY PC AS WELL.I was so shocked and Its ridiculous.I mean It was working all fine a year ago and Now Its just a mess.Idk what to do tbh.I really wanted to gift a pc to my brother but this is some interesting stuff.I can just buy a new gpu for him but I just want to fix this since the 470 has a special place in my heart and stuff.Please help me fix this bad boy.There's the information about the pc and the dead screen error: ERROR:SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED File That causes(Nvidia Driver):nvlddmkm.sys PC Info: CPU:i3 3220 @3.30ghz GPU:N470GTX Twin Frozr II Ram:12GB DDR3 @666MHz Mobo:ASUS P8H61-M LX3 PLUS R2.0 HDD:100GB Seagate Thanks.

Hello, the internet My name is kyosuke and i have a dilemma =/ . My current budget pc is currently rocking a gigabyte r9 280 gpu, i5 760 cpu, 12 gb of ddr3 1033mhz ram and a 500w psu. My cpu is a heavy bottleneck in casual csgo gaming and recording only seems to be making my performance worse. I have tried to overclock my cpu with limited sucess. With a stock cooler i have been able to get a decent overclock to 3.3 ghz without thermal throttling or exceeding 80°c. I have a spair hp elite 8200 that contains an i5 2500, a definite upgrade to my current cpu. I am thinking of implementing it in my build. The problem however for me personally is the viability of such an operation. In theory i would like to replace my current motherboard and cpu with the one within the hp 8200. But however i am not the most confident "pc enthusaist" and need to know whether it is compatible or not. Kind regards Kyosuke

Alright, so I've been having this annoying issue with the Wifi where the internet Houdini's out. Still connected to the wifi with a good signal, however, the internet's just non-existent at times. I've contacted my ISP for a replacement modem as it got so bad even my PC, which is connected over ethernet, was around 240Mb/s (picture 1) down instead of 900Mb/s down (picture 2). I've attached results from my dad's iPhone X and my S8, side question does anyone know why he's getting mad speeds? he was sitting 6m on the other side of a wall, and my phone was 40cm away form the modem. I've also included a screenshot of the Wifi Analyzer, 2.4GHz used to Autoselect Ch.8 but I've set it at Ch.13, and also jumped on the 1.1.1.1 DNZ bandwagon, only diff I've seen is my speedtest results (ethernet connected PC) came down to 1ms ping from 3ms. I used to have the modem connect through the built-in ethernet ports going throughout the house, but tbh that was a bit finicky so I'm using a long ethernet cable probs about 15-20m to go from the ONT box in the garage up to my room which is directly up the next floor. I've got 3 powerline adapters going go throughout the house. So my question is does anyone know why the internet drops out? I've received a replacement from my ISP (Spark, NZ) the modem model is Huawei HG659b. besides actually buying a new modem, is there something I can do with the gear I have now?

My pc is not booting corectly because of my gtx 1070. When i put it out of the system it works perfectly, but if i want to boot with the gtx 1070 (not oc) i have to take it out, enter save mode of Windows, reinstall the graphics card, deactivate it, boot in normal mode, activate the card. This is the only way it is possible to boot with my graphics card. My mainboard is an Asus Gene Vii with an i5 4690k at 4.00GHz. If you know any solution to my problem or had simular experiences please let me know. My psu is an corsair vs 550w.
