So which one is better to buy? I live in EU so exynos is the only option(cuz getting on contract). It's sale for s20+ so it's only 50 euros more than FE. Tnx for help

Reacently bought samsung galaxy s20(exynos) versions(because i live in eu and cant get sd version), and my battrey life is bad, my sot is 2 hours and 30 mins(not even at my end of the day) and battery left 35%, runing 120hz screen, 4g on,auto sync off, manual brightness set below medium, dark mode on. its allready learned my usage patterns. my previous phone(poco x3 nfc) lasted me 7 hours and 30 mins regulary whit same settings and had 30-35% battery left at the end of the day. so is my device bad or its just bad on battery? my gf has note 20 ultra and she has normal battery life tnx for help

Photos and videos are displayed in the incorrect order in Twitter and Instagram when trying to upload. In WhatsApp and TikTok they're displayed in the correct order. This bug happens in the s20 running on android 10, ONE UI 2.5

Well ,at least for my region anyways, I just noticed a significant uptick in ads on youtube, especially featuring Samsung S20 FE ad. Just asking if youtube changed the algorithm or Samsung is just aggressively pushing ads. P.S. Just saw the same ad on T.V. while writing. Also might not be able to reply or check out replies for quite some while

I can connect my S20 with my monitor (HP Pavillion 32QHD) via a USB-C Cable (10 Gbit/s) and DEX instantly works. The resolution is set to 1080p even though my monitor is 1440p and my phone shows a 1440p option, which I`m not able to choose (btw, my monitor supports DP 1.2 via USB-C), so the monitor, the cable and my phone should support everything that`s needed for 1440p. Is that a restriction from Samsung to use their proprietary HDMI adapter or is there some software solution/setting I first need to activate? Hope someone can help me.

My Samsung S20+ died after 2 days and the company wont help Hey guys, I need some help. Whether that's advice on how to get Samsung to help me or how I can solve the problem myself. I will start by explaining what happened. There were two different situations the phone did odd things. The first time (day one of having the phone), I was at work and on my break when I pulled out my phone and instead of the standard UI, the screen showed command prompt like script. I freaked out but did nothing because I didn't have time to deal with it at work. So I placed the phone back in my pocket and lo and behold a couple of hours later when I next looked at it, the phone was fine and normal again. Fast forward to a few hours later, (day two of having the phone, bonus points for its final death being on my birthday) the phone was sitting faceup on a table in front of me, I hadn't so much as glanced at it in quite a while, suddenly the screen came on and was on the odd script like page again. This time it gave me a prompt to factory data reset my phone. So I did, hoping that would be the end of it. On boot it gave me a blue screen of death and told me the phone had been flashed with unauthorized software. Since then, I've taken it to a Samsung authorized repair shop (where they couldn't fix it and alluded that it was probably a hardware problem even though the phone was saying it had been rooted). Then I mailed it into Samsung, where they did nothing and sent it back to me unrepaired. The cited reason for being unable to repair it was that the device was rooted. Which I hadn't done. So now I'm out all the money I spent on the phone and have a very expensive paper weight. All that being said, is there anything you guys think I can do to either get Samsung to fix it/send me a new phone? All of my favorite phones have been Samsungs and I'm having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that they would do this to a customer. This is the type of thing I'm used to hearing about Apple customer service and the reason I've clung to Samsung for so long. Thanks a ton in advance. If pictures of the error messages would help let me know and I can post the ones from the second day since I was home and had my backup phone.

Anyone with an s20 phone notice their compass suddenly becoming unresponsive? I.e. Google maps just doesn't show you what direction you're pointing? This is happening on my S20 Ultra.

I have a friend with an s20, and when on speaker the volume for both people on the call constantly alternates between almost to low to hear and normal. When not on speaker this problem is fixed for both people. It is only on 1 phone and all other calls on other phones are fine. I do not believe this is a internet problem. It is also consistent over multiple calling apps (like phone and messenger, Skype ect). This may just be a problem with the phone, and it may need to be taken back but just checking here before doing that.

Hello, I received my Galaxy S20+ on Tuesday (North Carolina, USA). I was wondering if anyone received a clear phone case in their box? According to the website, its supposed to include one. First of all I will admit I am an iOS user not an android person at all but I’m utterly dumbfounded buy the S20 Ultras price. Compared to other phones the only things it has would be a bigger screen which you could argue makes it less useable, 5G which isn’t widely available and isn’t much better than 4G outside of mmW which is even rarer than normal 5G and a 120Hz screen. It’s cameras still lag the iPhone and Pixel phones, it still only gets Samsung’s normal level of support (so not much) and has nothing else going for it. I get phones are more expensive but just to put it into context it is TWICE the price of an iPhone 11 or pixel 4 which are both arguably better phones and in the iPhones case at least will be supported around 2-3x longer than Samsung commits to the galaxy line. Again with Samsung’s what 2 years support, going by the S8 still being stuck on android 9, that’s £700-800 per YEAR depending on what model you get. I know the iPhone 11 Pro Max is around the same price maxed out (something I also think is a stupid price I think £1000 is my personal limit) but that’s still £200-300 per year max as they support phones for normally 5 sometimes 6 years. Why are people buying a phone that just seems, well not very well thought out and ludicrously expensive for what it is? Can any android people point out to why because it’s just not making sense to me.

I just noticed something weird about the S20 series. According to US prices, the S20 is $999 and S20+ is $1199. iPhone 11 Pro is $999 as well and the iPhone 11 Pro Max is $100 more expensive than the S20+. Theoretically the S20 and S20+ should be about the same price as the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max respectively. Now, this really is not the case... The S20 is $1039 (9 990 SEK) compared to $1359 (12 995 SEK) for the iPhone 11 Pro and the S20+ is $1246 (11 990 SEK) compared to $1486 (14 295 SEK) for the iPhone 11 Pro Max! This is a bit weird ain't it? Especially considering that they are the same price US or even $100 more expensive in case of the S20+ compared to the 11 Pro Max. I looked more into this and came up with two conclusions: If you buy for example the iPhone 11 Pro from Apple it shows the full price $1359 (12 995 SEK) and they write that $270 (2 599 SEK) of the price is the VAT (a form of tax if anyone is wondering). If I instead will buy an S20 from Samsung, it also shows the full price of 9 990 SEK but they they don't write anywhere if the VAT is included in the price, or how much of the price that is the VAT. Same thing goes for the iPhone 11 Pro Max and S20+, (Pro Max is $1486 (14 295 SEK) and $300 (2859 SEK) of the price is VAT whereas the S20+ is $1246 (11 990 SEK) and we have no clue how much of that price is the VAT). This got me thinking; The VAT rate in Sweden is 25% for electronics. If you take 25% of the price for the S20 (9990x0.25 = 2497.5 SEK or $260) and add that amount to the price, it gives us the price of $1299 (12 500 SEK) for the S20 which is almost on par with the iPhone 11 Pro's price of $1359 (12 995 SEK). (25% of the price for the S20+ is 11990x0.25 = 2997.5 SEK or $312, that added to the original price gives us a new price of $1558 (14 988 SEK) which is a bit more expensive than the iPhone 11 Pro Max, which it theoretically should be since the S20+ is $100 more than the iPhone 11 Pro Max US price). Is there actually no VAT on the S20 phones? Conclusion number one: According to the information in the paragraph above, it almost seems as if Samsung doesn't have any VAT-fee on their S20 phones! Does anyone know anything more about this? Have Samsung got some special deal with the Swedish government that makes there S20 products not being obliged to have any VAT on them? If that is the case, wouldn't this maybe be a violation of some EU ''anti competitiveness'' laws? I mean, if this actually is the case, it would put other phone companies in a major disadvantage and it would be way harder for them to compete with Samsung from a financial point. Conclusion number two: The other possible explanation for the S20 and S20+ being so much cheaper compared to the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max despite that they should be about the same price is; Samsung could be selling the S20 phones much cheaper so that the 25% VAT is already included in the price. But this would mean that Samsung at a minimum makes $200 less per S20 device in Sweden compared to the US. This wouldn't really make that much sense from a business perspective since making $200 or even way more money less per device is a lot of Samsungs S20 profit margins gone. Do anyone of you guys have any more information regarding this? Do you know if there actually is no VAT on the S20 phones in Sweden? How are other regions looking price-wise, the same weird price difference between the iPhone 11 Pro/MAx and S20/+?

Am I ok to move images around in these photos folders. I have transferred photos from old phones and each time it creates a different camera folder. And if I do move the photos around, will it update on the cloud backup to onedrive or do I have to move the photos around on there. I would like all camera folders to be merged together if possible.

So I live in Australia. The Oppo Reno 5G is currently $600AUD. The S20+ 5G is currently $1200 in the Samsung Education store (with the possibility of going down to $1050 if the 35% sales happen again like they usually do. Keep in mind the Australian model S20+ doesn't support mmwave so their 5g capabilities are the same. Keep in mind budget is a factor for me. Cameras are very important to me and they seem to be of similar quality, maybe better on the Reno given the true optical zoom of 5x is stronger than tthe S20's 1.07x (true optical not hybrid optical). Given it seems the downgraded chip of Exynos 990 seems like it could actually be comparable to the SD 855, I'm just wondering whether you think the S20's features are worth the price difference. From what I can tell the main draws of the S20+ would be: 120hz refresh rate Waterproofing Quicker updates An extra year of software support? UFS 3.0 Supposedly better OS (ColorOS is getting good tho and maybe the Oppo can be fixed with a launcher?) A brighter HDR10+ screen (not sure if ill notice this on a phone) Extra 4GB of RAM (12GB - probably overkill tho) However these do come at the cost of 128GB of storage and flash on the selfie camera. For me the lack of 120hz refresh on the Oppo is the main factor making the decision hard. Do you think these advantages on the S20+ have a real world difference and are they worth an extra $450-600?

I think this would make an easy, quick, and cheap solution for a cheap LAN party system by throwing in a low powered gpu such as the 750 Ti http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-02gp43757kr with its sturdy metal handle and build. This could also do for a office system/cheap workstation for working on smaller video/cad/content creation projects since the specs are quite decent for the price with support for 10 bit displays with the gpu. It also doesn't hurt that it comes preloaded with Win7.
