TLDR: My PC is built, but my GPU isn't detected. My Motherboard slot and my GPU are PCIE 4.0 but connected with a PCIE 3.0 riser. I've tried setting the speed to PCIE 3.0 in the BIOS, but that doesn't work. I've tested the motherboard and GPU individually and they both work. The Riser I got brand new from the manufacturer, so I'm pretty sure it works (haven't tested it though, but I will in the future if it comes to it). I started playing around with other setting in the BIOS but nothing happens. I did some research and some say to update the BIOS of the motherboard, but I can't because the website for the Motherboard manufacturer is down and very sketchy, so nope. I've checked on Intel's website and nothing so far. It's been almost a week and I don't know what else to do. Help! Long Version: My build put together now and it's close to being done. However, I've been having trouble getting my Graphics Card to be detected by my computer. I bought a Chinese motherboard (Jginyue B760m Itx Motherboard) and have my gpu (Radeon RX 6700 XT) connected via a PCIE 3.0 riser. When I connect an HDMI cable to the gpu, the system fails to be boot and the gpu warning led lights up. But when I plug into the motherboard and use the Integrated Graphics, the system boots fine but the gpu is not detected or seen in task manager or in device manager. When I install the AMD Adrenaline Software to see if it will detect it (thinking that installing drivers will fix it), it says that it can't find any compatible hardware. My motherboard has a PCIE 4.0x16 slot, so I have tried going into the BIOS and trying to set the PCIE riser speed to 3.0 manually, but the UI is very confusing and the best thing that I could find was setting the speed to 8 GT/s (as that was how it was listed) but still nothing. I have pulled the gpu and tested it on a different system to so if it's the problem but it boots and performs just fine even after benchmarking and testing so it's okay. I have tested the motherboard slot itself and it works with a GTX 980ti, so it seems to work okay too. I'd like to believe the riser cable is fine too since I got it came with the case that I bought which was directly from the brand (Xproto Cases) but I have not tested it individually yet (though I will later on just to sanity check it). I have started playing around with other settings now like PCIE Payload Size, ASPM, etc but all of them have done nothing so far and I'm confused on how I can fix this issue. I've looked online to see if someone has had the same issue and some have said to try and make sure that the BIOS version of the motherboard is up to date, but the website for my brand of motherboard (Jginyue Motherboard) is down and there's nothing there. I've tried looking at Intel's official website to see if there something but I have found nothing so far. It's been almost a week now, and I still haven't gotten my gpu to work in my system and I need help. Any thoughts?

I am considering purchasing an ASUS PCE-AC88 wifi card to connect to my motherboard (ASRock B450m Pro4 Micro ATX) in my PC. However, I believe the available PCIe1 slot on my motherboard is too close to my graphics card for this wifi card to fit, since my motherboard is so small. Does anyone have a recommendation for a high quality PCIe riser cable that is compatible to connect my motherboard to this wifi card without slowing down my internet connection? If the wifi card is on a cable, I believe I can secure it to an case opening underneath the gpu. It won't look pretty but it should offer better performance than my USB dongle.

Just wondering if my B550 (PCIe 4.0) and RTX 3060 Ti (PCIe 4.0) will work with a PCIe 3.0 riser cable? Don't worry about the speed between each. Thanks for any help!

I received my Dan A4 H2O and the riser cable looks like this (attached), I don't have all the parts to build and test yet. Will this create any problem, should I return/replace it?

Parts CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900x MOBO: Gigabyte B650I Aorus Ultra GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 Hydro Copper 10 GB (With PCIE 4.0 Riser Cable. PSU: Corsair SF750 RAM: 2x16 gb G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5 I am trying to get a new build up and running but I'm having trouble with my GPU. Boot takes much longer than when I have only integrated graphics plugged in. I have not been able to get a display from my GPU yet. Using only integrated graphics, I see that the GPU is listed as Disabled in Device Manager (Code 43). Upon installing Nvidia drivers my pc auto rebooted to complete the installation. This took a very long time and then notified me that the drivers failed to install. I turned off all firewalls and attempted to reboot my system to try installing the drivers again. While restarting, Windows gave me this error "DRIVER POWER STATE ERROR"." The PC then force shut down and rebooted. EVGA said the 30 series do not work well with PCIE cables and I should try the card without it but that is not doable in the sff case I am using. Should I test the card on another mobo? Is the card faulty? Has anyone else run into this issue?

I recently built a custom gaming rig with the Thermaltake core p3 SE ATX open frame, inside i have a unlocked i5 core 6600k skylake, Asus 1060 GB gpu, 16gb Corsair Vengeance memory, B7 Sniper motherboard, CX850M psu,Thermaltake Pacific RL360 D5 hard tube cooling kit. the problem im having is every now and then my computer goes into power saving mode and attempts to reboot but ends up going into a bootloop or into BIOS. i have changed my power settings, replaced my memory and motherboard and reseated my GPU. the only thing i can think of is my Riser cable is acting up even though i carefully placed it and followed youtube videos on how to install it. i have another riser cable on the way but i want tips if there is anything i need to change in BIOs or power saving settings. currently everything in power saving settings is set to never.

I'm currently working on modifying an hp 8200 elite sff desktop to include a better graphics card but the CPU cooler blocks long graphics cards, can I just get a pciex16 riser cable and plug it in from afar, is it fine to just sit at the bottom of the case?

Hello, So I very recently moved from a Micro ATX to a Mini ITX mobo and reused almost everything. The new Mini ITX case came with a riser cable that I HAVE to use do to its design. What I thought was originally a mobo issue turns out to not be (I received my replacement today and these issues seem to be persisting). My computer will just randomly get crackling audio and sometimes I'll lose my video signal, but I can still hear my music. I can turn the monitor back on and my PC is, seemingly, fine. My question is, could this be a faulty riser cable? This is a used case and cable and my GPU was working flawlessly before moving it to this new setup. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Been hearing x570 Mobo are not working with riser cables? I want to buy 3700x to pair with my 2 1080ti's but they sit on a vertical mount bracket and require riser cables. Can anyone confirm that riser cables do not work with x570 do to PCIe gen 4?

Guys i need your help with what the HELL is going on: So i got some bluescreens in the last few days since i installed my bluetooth drivers from the asus website. Yesterday i first got a black screen (my computer was still running but giving no display output signal) and neither unplugging the displayport cable didn't help nor restarting my monitor. I thought this had something to do with the ai suite 3 fan testing stuff i started at that time, But today i got another black screen with the same result. I only could restart my pc and nothing else. I also got the "renderdevice not found" alarm or something like that in overwatch on Saturday and if i have a bluescreen the error code is system_service_exception. When i had the blackscreen today my Bluetooth earphones would disconnect but my pc is still running. PC Info: Ryzen 5 2600x Asus strix x470i 16gb 2800mhz ddr4 ram Zotac amp! 1080ti on a riser cable because of my case (could that be the problem?) Enermax 650w revolution sfx psu (connected with seperate power cord from psu to out for wallplug) Samsung 960evo Seagate barracuda 2tb 2,5"

For my new build, ill be using thermatake level 20 gt argb. i want to mount the gpu vertically. i notice thermaltake currently sells riser cables in 200 mm and 300 mm. not too sure what length to get. thanks
