A little more detail on the Vega + Ryzen APU Articular here: https://www.techpowerup.com/236312/zen-meeting-vega-in-amd-raven-ridge-apu-confirmed Something interesting that was confirmed was: Will be interesting to see the performance and heat this will output, might be a little beast for the price....

Gday all, back earlier this year i brought a RV04 Silverstone case. inverted case, which is great for me. i have nearly always had my computer sitting on my left. now when i first looked into this case, the one thing everyone complained about was... yes the "flimsy" door. ok SOO yes it has SOME but its not that bad, honestly its not, if you are opening it like a civilized human with 2 iotas of common sense and not being a complete drongo reefing on the bugger then you will have no problems. quick explanation here as to why it flex's and also why this isn't such a bad thing... Firstly its plastic, and is in a pursuit to save some weight, so its not super thick stuff. secondly its not coming to a squared corner, its rounded, this is allowing for some flex here. thirdly its not such a bad thing, have you seen what happens to ridgid plastic doors on cases, soon as it trys to flex a little, friggen snap crackle and pop no door no more. that shit breaks! moving on. the Case itself metal wise, mate!, i was a sheety for a company called Fabers toolboxes, anyone who knows them knows we had a thing for being good. so metal work is important to me, if its crap metal, wont touch it, if it has those poxy hook tabs on the side panel to lock it on the case, forget it mate thats just a problem later on. if the strengthening folds are done badly i dont want it... annnnnd so on so forth, i spent hours and hours looking at cases. i was looking at NZXTs and the silverstone 3 days later. now, one thing people kept saying other then the door, was .... you can not liquid cool a RV04. this is a lie, and over the next yr or so (once my ute "leona" is back on the road with a new gearbox) i will be starting a new build in this case. im going for a Red Build, Zen we shall start the water cooling build (haha Zen, get it haha... im funny damn it!) i will be posting pictures when i can start on this project. If you would like some ideas on how to do some metal work related things on cases feel free to ask, and ill help as much as i can (thou having physical object in front of me is always easier to work from) post a picture if you want to show issues and what not.

ALRIGHT. So, I'm making a mock-up list/design for a custom LAN PC. I'm using a case that I've never used in a build (and a form factor I've never bothered to deal with), the Silverstone RVZ01B-E (As the title would suggest). I'm only truly struggling with the PSU due to the particular size constraints with the case (the PSU's length cannot exceed 130mm in length). However, I'm attempting to put either a platinum or titanium rated, fully-modular PSU inside, but I cannot find a great contender. This is especially made difficult because the **base PC of the setup needs to stay below $1500 due to preference. This means that I cannot spend anymore than $145 on a PSU. The wattage is another thing, also based on preference, the wattage should rate between 650 watts and 750 watts. Lastly, I would hope for a decent warranty. Since this PC will be used in various places, the risk is increased that parts could be damaged, or malfunction, a warranty would give the user peace of mind while traveling. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and any advice would be too! **Note: The base PC doesn't include the Intel Optane drive or the magnetic dust filters, since they aren't vital to the operation of the PC. Trying to find a CPU cooler for a Silverstone RVZ02 which has a cooler limit of 58mm. I'm restricted to a 92mm fan type or smaller for a few reasons. My motherboard is an EVGA Z87 Stinger and has a really tall VRM heatsink, I'm running high profile RAM and because I will be able to see inside the case for cosmetic reasons I don't want something blocking to much of my other parts. I know there is the Silverstone AR06 and Noctua NH-L9i that both fit and are capable coolers but I'd really like one that is black or black and red. The CPU is an i5 4670k. While I wont at first as I'll be testing temps in the case I'd like to try and run my current overclock of 4.2ghz @ 1.17v if possible but it's not deal breaking if the cooler won't handle it. I'd prefer something that looks appealing and fairly quiet as it will be on my desk and the only fan that will run consistently. Thanks

Fellow forum members, I call upon your expertise for I need help. Now let me give you some information on the situation (nothing crazy or unheard, but it'll hopefully give you a better look on this case). A friend of mine (PC hater, Mac Fanboy), asked my help to build him a Hackingtosh desktop. He is a student (17 years old, about to go to Uni), who gets payed well enough to afford a laptop as well as a desktop. The machine is not meant to be a gaming rig, mostly a workstation for text editing and browsing (Don't tell me about the utter stupidity of building such an expensive rig for such nonsense tasks . I tried to convince him too). The budget is respectively $1200. His demands were: - Small case (about the size of an Xbox One) - SSD (Lightning fast boot speeds) - Intel core i7 with at least 4 cores and a decent clock speed He left a lot of blank spots. Its up to me to fill those in. Regarding the CPU, I was debating on a i7 4820k and an i7 4770k. Now the 4770K has better overall performance, but the performance/$ isn't all to great compared to the 4820k. All your input on the CPU is more then welcome! The case is a close call. There are not many Mini-ITX cases that are flat like an Xbox One. There are two candidates in my opinion: The Lian Li PC-Q19 and the Silverstone Raven RVZ02. Lian Li's design is unbelievably sleek, but about 1.5x the size of what the Raven RVZ02 is claimed to will be. I personally prefer the RVZ02 due to the fact that it has exactly the width and height of an Xbox, its just 90mm deeper. Another con to this case is that it is not yet released. This means that I'll have to postpone building this system until the case + the fact that not everything is known about the case itself. Will it be any good in the first place? The GPU was an easy choice, I was thinking of a GTX 960 reference. I need to keep compatibility with the case, OS and motherboard in mind. When I say "it was an easy choice" I actually mean I just took a wild stab in the dark and went with the graphics card that seems most fitting to me. Now I am not an expert on this matter, all help and suggestions are welcome. I have never worked with Mini-ITX, so I have not a clue what motherboard has best overall durability, compatibility, price etc. I wanted to leave this topic up to your expertise. RAM is not a big concern of mine. This system doesn't need lightning fast RAM, something like 1600MHz or 1866MHz should fine (I hope ). Don't worry about the RAM, I'll figure it out. The power supply has to fit the case, I'd say something around 400-500 Watt 80 plus gold should cut it. I am not a power supply expert either, so any advice is helpful. I am not sure how I am going to cool the system yet... The case probably doesn't support water cooling, so that's not an option. It would be lovely if you guys could help me figure out the best cooling solution to this setup. That about concludes it. If I am unclear at certain points, please make sure to let me know and ask me! All the help is awesomely much appreciated! Any tips or tricks on the actual assembling is always nice since I am not really considered an experienced builder. I did watch Linus's and Luke's video on Hackingtosh machines. Warm regards, Alean.

Hey guys I have an SilverStone Raven RVZ01 and I can't decide which GTX 960 I want to put in there. My main concerns are Sound Level, Temperatures, & 6-Pin position for easiest installation. I'm a total EVGA fan, but they do not have a "Blower Style" GTX 960, but they do have an awesome ITX 960 that would probably be more quiet (any thoughts?) (Also would mean that I could use the extra fan slot for another fan to control temps?). Other than that I did find two blower style cards (which I hear are better for ITX cases from MSI & Asus anything I should know to help me make a final decision? No OC will be preformed & no other graphic card suggestions outside of GTX 960.

Building a new gaming PC in the Silverstone Raven RVZ01. Stock fan(s) - Silverstone 120mm Slim @ 18dB Additional Fan - Nanoxia Deep Silence 120mm PWM @ 16.9 dB CPU Cooler - Cooling the Intel Core i5 4690S, Noctua LH-L9i @ 14.8 dB (with L.N.A) GPU - Asus GTX 750 Ti Strix OC @ 0dB HDD - Western Digital Green 4TB @ 28dB PSU - Silverstone ST45SF-G @ 18dB Of course, the system is only as quiet as the most noisy component in the PC. Therefore, my PC should be 28dB at max load. Is this silent or close to it? Can anyone with a PC around 30 dB explain how loud this would sound about 40cm away from me on my desk? Thanks ^.^

This photo was posted on SilverStone Hong Kong's facebook page.... From the logo on the chassis it seems it would be under the Raven brand. But it probably would not be the RV06, as Tony Ou, Silverstone’s Technical Marketing guru, stated there will be no FT06 or RV06 this year when he was replying a post on Hardforum.... http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1850790 And from the photo (in reference with the fan mount on the rear) it seems it would be an ITX/M-ATX tower case, not a ATX case. Also it seems there is probably a psu cover, an irregular-looking top cover, and no optical bay slot. What do you think about this case? https://www.facebook.com/SilverStoneHK/photos/a.226037297455250.58578.217554344970212/876117269113913/?type=1 *update: this case's name was revealed on SilverStone Taiwan's facebook page. This case is named RVX-01. A built with this case was also uploaded, with showed the psu was mounted on the front of the case, hdds mounted on the bottom, and features SilverStone's famous 90-degrees rotated motherboard mount. It looks to me a modified version of the RV05/FT05, with the psu and hdds mount on the front of the case, instead on the rear. https://www.facebook.com/SilverStoneHQ/photos/a.742596405753094.1073741840.170872166258857/991517954194270/?type=1(in Chinese)

I'll post a list of the parts I have first: PSU: silverstone SFX 450w modular gold rated Motherboard: ASRock fm2+ITX a88x APU: I have 7850k RAM: HyperX Beast 2400mhz (only 4x2 set that was dual rank and 2400mhz) Heatsink: I have two spares that will likely fit right now; the Silverstone NT06 and a Corsair h60 ( the preferred cooler ) SSD: Crucial MX100 512gb (SSD only system) Disc Drive: Just bought an OEM slim line blu ray drive (40$ awww yeah) Fans: 3 Cougar Vortex fans OS: I have a legal copy and key of windows 8 Anyways, those are the parts I have, might have missed something. The case I intended to use was the Raven RVZ01B, as it has a lot of features in a very small and good looking form factor, maybe I will use the ft03 if compatibility with the H60 becomes an issue. Things I was wondering will the tube bending I have seen with the h60 actually be an issue, if it cannot be mounted in any other way to avoid this, can the h60 instead be mounted in the compartment used to house the GPU to nullify the issue, (Linus mentioned that in his video covering it sort of) and finally, any case suggestions would be helpful, must be mini itx though. Also, this is my first real post here, if I breached any protocol or you need any other info, let me know. I am also heavily considering expandability, as later on I may want to gut this and turn it into an intel build. I was very very very heavily considering an intel pentium anniversary and 750ti build (especially with that dead sexy galaxy razor.)

I apparently I lost a box of screws that held just about every screw I collected from PC building in the past few years. Does anyone know of a good place, that has awesome shipping too, to by HDD screws, ODD screws, rad screws, MB screws, just about every screw needed to build a system. I have a Silverstone Raven 3 if that helps. Thank you for any help.

Hey, everyone! Annd this is a story all about how my components flipped 180, almost upside down. So, I'd like to take a moment just sit there. I'd like to tell you about a story how I wanna go from an AIO cooler to air. In my wife's Lian li k63, my very first case. She used an AIO for most of her days. Her CPU was chillin out, maxin, and relaxin all cool. Playing some games like l4d2. Until my wife's h80i was up to no good. Started to leak and almost fried her gpu. We got in one little fight and now im all scared. She said, "You better get rid of these AIOs and change them all to air." TLDR: My wife's AIO leaked and is making me remove them. I have an h100 in a ft02. It looks stupid and I have to change them. Anyone got a suggestion for an aircooler to match with a sabertooth z77? I was looking at the bequiet dark rock non-pro 3. Also, the noctua NH u12s. Thinking about buying two of them. This is gonna cool a 3770k so I hope it's enough. Another concern is ram compatibility bc I have corsair vengeance memory which is stupid tall but I saw linus flip the cooler the other way in his build a better silent gaming machine for 2000. Which was helped by the rear CPU fan. So I'm thinking I could do the same.. Btw, sorry if this post has mistakes. I'm writing this on my phone from the couch as I have forfeited my pc as the wife's pc is down and she's playing games on my rig while I sleep on the couch. P.S Don't get married kids.

Hey guys, im not very active on writing but read a lot and constant fan of linus team on YT so this is basically my first big post. hello! I want to have a 'steambox' easy for transportation and the cheapest it can be. i have some decisions already made but not in every aspect. let me se say what i want and what i decided to go with and let me hear your opinions, feel free to bash me for picking something stupid im a tough guy:P 0. Purpose steambox, it will run windows with NO OTHER software except for gaming stuff (emulators origin and other thingies) so im not worried in performance in corel/adobe streaming or anything else, i dont even plan to surf web on this thing. gaming will also bo moderate, this is build for party meetings (i got another pc for daily power gaming) so the most we would play would be games like: - mortal kombat - street fighters - other SUPER LOW DEMANDING 2d fighters - some racing games like grid, nfs, burnout - indie multicoach coop games - arcade multicoach coop games - at MOST borderlands as you can see it wont be used for heavy gaming like crysis, custom starcraft matches with milions of units or anything like this Bear in mind that i live in central europe and have very limit access to many of the stuff u guys have in us/canada so dont recommend stuff that is only orderd via manufacturer website or some local us/canada store or something that is super new (we are the 3rd world we get stuff months/years later) 1. Case STRONG Pick: Silverstone Milo ML07 or Raven RVZ01 Link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I3EKXDE/?tag=pcpapi-20 RAVEN Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163256&cm_re=rvz01-_-11-163-256-_-Product MILO I know i said "cheapest possible" and budget in the topic title but the size is a bigger factor for me. and raven rvz01 is pretty damn small, I would prefer to pay more and to have something more compact yet still able to house enough items. I read (and saw on pics) that ML07 and RVZ01 look the same inside and only outer shell is different? Is that right, are those cases the same when it comes to airflow? RVZ01 looks like it has more vents on the top and bottom than the ML07. obviously i would prefer to go with the ML07 from the price point of view and the looks (i want this case to sit under my tv in an open cabinet Other pick would be CM Elite 110: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119299 but im not very fond of cubic case, would not look good under the tv in the cabinet, maybe someone can share their experience with those cases? 2. CPU DECIDED Pick: Intel G3258 Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117374&cm_re=g3258-_-19-117-374-_-Product im decided on this CPU. i plan to do NOTHING but gaming so i dont care much about performance in other software like photoshop/premier or anything other, also i dont plan on streaming from that pc. I would like to slightly, VERY SLIGHTLY, overclock that pentium but i dont want to go for anything crazy as i am aware of the case limitations. also i dont want to go with AMD, bad memories with LOTS of amd so i try stay away from this company for the time being, and they generate too much heat imho for that case. also couldn't find anything price interesting that would beat G3258 straight in gaming/heat performance 3. Cooler UNDECIDED Pick: Seidon 120M Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=seidon+120m&N=-1&isNodeId=1 i said i want to oc the cpu so i am aware of a better-than-stock cooler need. i decided to go for AIO watercooling as it would give great performance and quiet operation i think (when compared to air cooling that would fit in this case Im not very decided on the Seidon 120M but i saw some RVZ01 builds with it, i was thinking about the 120V version but the cpu block/pump combo looks much much higher and i am not decided on the rad placement. it would go on top over the CPU (like most ppl do) or next to a half sized (in length) gpu if it fits there, im not sure about this thou. maybe some experience or links from anyone? 4. Motherboard TOTALLY UNDECIDED Pick: Asrock Z87E-ITX Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157374 I want to overclock this bad boy so i think only assus allows on overclockin on anything other than Z boards right? Also i want wireless connectivity so asus board would cost me a ton and this asrock seems fine? but i got no clue aboust itx boards (my first itx build) and no knowledge about overclocking this pentium on anything other tna z97? will z87 do fine? 5. GPU STRONG Pick: GTX750Ti factory OC Link: www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487024 EVGA Superclocked one not very fond of AMD cards (the same story as with CPUs, i have bad experience even thou im using radeon on one of my computer im not recommending it). i already said no heavy gaming and with even the more demanding games (like some racing games we would play) we can live with lower settings or even 720p. so i think 750ti would be ok? also thinking about this card because of its half length and the possibilty of maybe placing the rad next to it (there are two 120mm spots on the GPU side of the case and if i would use half sized maybe the rad would fit next to it?) about the factory OCing, will the genereate much more heat in this kind of case? was also thinking about the 260x or 270x (i think its pricier than 750ti so rather not), but i said i got burned by amd. but if someone would convince me that 260x is far better than 750ti for this build then please do it. also, im not into amd much so i dont know what is the difference between 260 and 260x? is it like Ti or does it mean something else? 6. PSU STRONG Pick: Silverstone SFX 450W 80Plus Gold (full modular) Link: http://www.ncixus.com/products/?usaffiliateid=1000031504&sku=75786&vpn=ST45SF-G&manufacture=Silverstone%20Technology i dont think i have a much choice here? it has to be SFX (or did anyone managed to fit standard ATX in those silverstone cases?) also would like to have to modularity for more space in case, any other suggestions than this one? 7. RAM Pick: anything low profile 1600 8gig Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233385 Corsair XMS I picked ram that wasn't tall got 1600mhz and 8gigs in one stick (airflow/heat issues in mind), think 8gigs is enough for moderate casual gaming for this kind of games i said in the begining so only if u can recommend something ultra cheaper or if you would HIGHLY DON'T RECOMMEND those corsairs please say a word 8. Storage Pick: A-Data Premier Pro SP600 128GB Link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009SX6VLC/?tag=pcpapi-20 no HDD in this build, only 1 ssd for os and games (i will not trash the pc with massive gamedownloads like titanfall or watchdoge so i think 128gigs would be enough for small indie games and a couple of more space demanding ones). also not worried about having it ultra fast (we can wait on the couch with our beers for the pc to boot no problem:P) but if you can suggest something faster for cheaper or the same prace (or 1-3 bucks difference), please do so 9. Optical Strong pick: Silverstone SOD02B Link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004X9PHFC/?tag=pcpapi-20 this might look/sound stupid or outdated but we need optical drive for some of our retro games so this is a must, and i always wanted to have slot ODD!!! unless you can recommend anything else that will fit in that case i will go with this? (im not sure if silverstone somehow made the optical slot compatible only with this one drive ?) 10. Control? i have nice micro keyboard with trackball and plan to hook up x360 controllers (wireless, maybe able to hide the little box inside the case) i have searched for x360 alternatives but nothing that will satisfy me and would operate with 4 controller at once, or maybe u got the solution/past experience? 11. no display as it will be permahooked to my tv I think that is all, you can view the parts also here (feel free to comment there): http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bc96pg
