Looking to upgrade from my gaming laptop Lenovo legion 5 and found this one. CPU:Intel i7 11700F RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200MHz GPU:RTX 3080 10GB MOBO:MSI h510m-a pro PSU:Corsair RMx 750W SSD:Samsung 980 Basic SSD 1 TB Case:Corsair Carbide 175R Price is 1100 Euro brand new,but not sure is the DDR4 platform worth it. This PC would be used for 1440p gaming, mostly Apex Legends, and games like Manor Lords and other city builder games. Sadly anything with DDR5 and 4xxx series is much more expensive

Budget (including currency): CAD under $3500-under $4000 Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: high-end tasks, adobe, wondershare filmora, Minecraft with shaders, skyrim, Elden ring, etc. like running recording and high-end games at the same time. Other details don't know what I am looking for except a good PC that will last 4 years or more. I have a prebuilt PC from Lenovo. It has 1 stick 8 Gig RAM from SK Hynix 2933Mhz CL19. I want to add one more stick of 8 Gig ram. But I have questions: 1. Can I use any other 2933Hz memory from other CAS Latency? Like CL22 or maybe slower? 2. What if I get another stick for 3000Mhz or 3200Mhz, would that work? Please do recommend and help me with this!!! I have attached a screenshot of CPU-Z for the 1 stick RAM that is currently installed

Hi everyone! I am new to the forums so I hope I am posting this in the right place to begin with, but basically due to the CPU and GPU exorbitant prices and lack of stock, I saw my self in the only option and need to buy a pre-built PC from MSI; for some additional context I am from Mexico and some friends in the US snatched it for me at a decent price as a surprise because in my country is almost impossible to get a decent built for an affordable price. I am stoked and excited but I want to ground my self and be as objective as a can for my path forward, right below is the specs given by the webpage as to what the PC has and I was hoping you guys could help me to select or plan what is missing from it as in cooling, extra storage, different types of mounts or whatever it may be, and to plan a upgrade path into the future. I have a basic knowledge of computers but I have never really built one and this is the closest thing I will get for a time (damn the world, the economy and third world problems.) I should mention that I am not sure of the type of motherboard or ram that it has for it misses to point out the specific models so if anyone knows for sure that might help. Also, I know is nor high end PC, I know I could have bought something better if I had built it my self but understand that is not as simple for me due to monetary and geographical issues and there is no need to get into detail or be told that the PC sucks, first ever gaming PC of my own don't want to come crashing down... please... I appreciate the assistance that you may provide from the bottom of my heart and thank you all upfront! https://us-store.msi.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=20_259_272&product_id=704

How good does my PC need to be/what do I need for recording at 1080p 60fps or streaming my games downscaled at 720p 60/30fps? I want to save up for a gaming PC that can record and stream with no lag, recording at 1080p 60 and streaming at at least 720p 60fps. Bear in mind that as one of the best surviv.io players, this will be what I would record/stream most of the time. It's not a very demanding game from the PCs POV, but I would still like to have the option of streaming Fortnite/PUBG or more advanced games if I wanted to. If anybody could send me a link to a PC I could buy that could manage this, or give me a list of stuff (CPUs, GPUs etc.) that I would need to include in a PC build so it's good enough for this, it would be greatly appreciated. I don't have all the money in the world, so if you could give me a few different options at different prices that would be amazing. Thanks, Vulfka

Hey everyone! I am new here and i just signed up for an account so I could post on the forum. I have been a console gamer all of my life, from my Dad's NES to my first Playstation one, all the way to current day. But a few years ago I was gifted an old Dell XPS tower that had an I7 720 and 12 GB of RAM. I went on amazon and bought myself my first ever graphics card the GTX 1060 6GB. and I loved it! I played games like Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4, and various indie games I picked up on steam sales. Anyway fast forward and Spectre and Meltdown come out and I'm freaking out. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos on the subject. I unplugged my PC from the internet and kept gaming for a while until I found out that they were going to send out patches to fix the problem. So I plugged back into the internet and wouldn't you know it? My PC was too old to be able to get the patch! So I unplugged again from the internet and havent been able to play PC games for quite some time. Well fast forward again and I really miss playing Modded Skyrim and Fallout NV and Fallout 4. So I want to buy myself a gaming pc. I still have my 1060 6GB and would like another pre built that I can slap that into and re use some of the HDD from my old Dell. But I dont want to go with a Dell or an HP because they use proprietary motherboards and cases. which I found out so I couldnt even upgrade my old Dell to bring it into modern times. I am very new to PC gaming as that old dell I souped up a few years ago was my first and only foray into the glorious world of PC gaming. I would appreciate recommendations for Pre Built PC's. My budget would be around 1,000 dollars US. Thanks for reading my long story. I hope that I can get back into PC gaming and enjoy both consoles and PC.

Currently just using a spare 55 inch 1080 P television as a monitor for my over the bed desk. I would prefer something more like than triple wide or a quad one over three set up. But I have two televisions I’m using the 1080 P as a computer monitor, but wondering if my 4K HDR 10 TV which is the same size could be powered by my ROG pre-built computer with a GTX 1650 super GPU

I tried upgrading a dell Inspiron 580 with a GTX 760. The power supply is a 650 watt Corsair, so that’s not the problem. the things I’ve done so far: - update BIOS to latest version (A07) - reset CMOS with battery-method - DDU old drivers (HD 5450) - reseat the gpu the old one, a HD 5450, is still working. the gtx 760 is confirmed working on another system, just like the rest of the pc, the cables and the screen. anybody know a way to fix this? edit: I am talking about a black screen/no video output

Hey, I found a very good listing for a lenovo that has an i7 6700 and 12gb of ram and I have a few questions. 1. I have heard that you cannot upgrade some pre built systems, can I upgrade a prebuilt lenovo in the future? 2. The GPU is quite bad so I was thinking if I can install a better GPU? but do you know if the PSU of lenovo can handle a newer GPU? Thank you in advance!

Recently i received an old pc from a friend and it came without any memory, so I bought a 4gb ddr3 stick and when i put it in the computer wouldn't post and had a continuous long beep. I googled the RAM i bought and it turned out to be server memory. Can someone check if its compatible with the motherboard for me. Here's the service manual https://www.manualslib.com/manual/445231/Acer-Aspire-X3950.html?page=102#manual

Hey guys im new to this forum and came here seeking for help. i intend to change my graphic card on my prebuilt pc that i bought from HP. these are my specs https://gyazo.com/55fff49a9092201cdde77df390f4f240 i know its hella bad thats why i wanna just change the card i dont have lots of time so i dont bother to upgrade entire pc. I was reading on internet how to do and such and there were saying that manufacturers like hp dell tend to lock the bios or some of that kind which makes it not work to change card, since im new to tech i have no idea how this works and would like to ask would it work if i were to replace my current graphic card with a gtx 1050 ti.

I have a Compaq Presario Media Center SR1950NX that I would like to upgrade. Upgrading the CPU and RAM are possible, but would not get me a much better PC capable of running most games. This is where my question comes in. The motherboard is a micro-ATX form factor that is 9.6 in x 9.6 in. I am wondering if it would be possible to put another motherboard of the same form factor in and still have it work. Thank you and have a great day.

So yesterday I have been thinking about this question all day long which is if I should get the Corsair 1 prebuilt pc. I saw some reviews about it on YouTube, and I saw the LinusTechTips video about it, and I am thinking about buying it for myself. but I am not so sure if it would fit into te categories I am going to use the computer for: I am planning to use the computer for: computer programming, gaming, Discord, and sometimes recording / streaming. For some of you it is pretty obvious what the answer is, but for me it is kind of hard to understand if it is the best for all of those tasks. I am planning to get the one in the following link https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Systems/CORSAIR-ONE-Intel-Series/p/CS-9020014-NA what do you guys think? please let me know in the comments if you had any experience in it, or if I should get a different one that would fit into the categories.

Hi guys, i have bought a new prebuilt Pc with: Lenovo Y720 Tower gtx 1070 Lenovo edition intel i7 7700 16 GB ram and im am using a 60 herz Monitor. Im worried because i nocticed a few times already that my pixels, at the edges of objects, in games or of Pictures, turn green while moving them. Also with V-sync and Fps limit, on or off. I am using MSI-Afterburner to cool the Graphics Card under full load, up to max 65c. I am not overclocking it at all. I've already cleaned the HDMI cable with contact cleaner, reinstalled all drivers. After i reboot the system it goes away, but then it appears again. So im worried, could it be a broken gpu? i've never swapped gpu's or even touched the gtx 1070 after i bought it. I got a 2 years guarantee on the pc. Should i send it back and get a new exemplar or do you guys have the solution to this problem? Thanks in advance. The video with the Problem will be attached when i get to record it.

So I have a Gateway DX4200-09 desktop pc and I use it to play games and do random stuff. But its sooo SLOW I can't play a single GAME without lag its impossible, plus it's laggy on windows explorer too! i tried everything from deleting stuff to shutting off all programs in the backround even Windows! it helped somebit but not really, I played stuff from counter strike to Minecraft and get around to 4 to 14fps on lowest settings possible. and bigger games not even a chance. My mac laptop did better but it's broke now. so here's specs: cpu: amd phenom x4 9100e ram: 4gb DDR2 800mhz graphics card: ati radeon hd 3200 Running: windows vista hard drive: 640gb btw I only have 5gb left on hard drive but I can make room. Is it a problem I can fix,is it too old, is it because my storage is full or is it just horrible and get a new pc or its just too dusty. Any fix to this?
