I was going to get a pc build by Micro Center because I do not trust myself to build a system, and it was going to be around $2200-2300. But, one of the micro center PowerSpec pcs at basically the same config (only difference is ram speed) is on sale for $1599.99. Its been on sale for a while, and I've been burned from "good deals" in the past. I can seem to find anything wrong with it, but I just want a second option from someone who knows more about specific parts than me. Unfortunately there isn't too much info to go off of because most of the parts aren't list specifically. Parts on the listing: Intel Core i7 13th Gen 13700KF 3.4GHz Processor NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GDDR6X G.Skill 32GB DDR5-5600 RAM 2TB Solid State Drive Microsoft Windows 11 Pro 10/100/1000 Network 2.5GbE LAN WiFi 6E 802.11ax Bluetooth 5.1 AIO Liquid ML 240L RGB Cooler I'm pretty sure the AIO is a CoolerMaster brand, and I've heard that's a really cheap AIO, and that 240mm AIOs are not enough for the 13700kf Really, I just to know whether or not this a deal I should take. https://www.microcenter.com/product/665134/G443_Gaming_PC;_Intel_Core_i7_13th_Gen_13700KF_34GHz_Processor;_NVIDIA_GeForce_RTX_4070_12GB_GDDR6X;_GSkill_32GB_DDR5-5600_RAM;_2TB_Solid_State_Drive; The case is ugly but for $700 less...

I bought a pre-built pc for a presumably good price around (1300$) specs seemd pretty decent but im not sure if the performance is as good as it should be for such a build. Hello everyone! My laptop is at the point where I want to retire it from gaming and use it for just work and art. It runs alright still but I am ready and at a good point to move onto a PC. I have done all I can for my laptop and fixed it as much as I can without taking it to a repair place and we have two reputable ones near me. I'm not going to touch Dell again for a long time since my laptop right now is a Dell and I want something with a quality I can trust not a 50/50 deal. I hear HP is one I should avoid also and Alienware is not what it once was unless I am wrong and if so please tell me. I want to make a good educated decision with my purchase. I know pre builds get some flack but I do not have the time in my life right now to build a PC myself but if I could I would. I am looking for something to game on mostly I do not need anything for editing. The biggest games I play are Rust, 7 Days and Stranded Deep. I would like to have RTX as I have GTX right now. The area I have to put a PC is 24X24 inches. I do not need to have all RGB its not a must have for me a little here or there is fine. I am looking for something that has the capacity to be upgraded down the road or at least to be fixed by myself. I am going to look at Corsair today and a few other brands I know of. Any advice or help is welcomed Thank you! tl:dr: Want a pre built GTX For gaming not editing No Dell, HP Must fit in a 24X24 inch area Any advice is welcome

I don't know if this is the right place for this kind of post, but anyway. Because I cant get a gpu blah blah blah we have all heard it before, I was planning on buying a pre build with a 2060 in it. Other specs: Athlon 3000G 1x4gb corsair 2400mhz ram Asus prime A320 So I was going to take the GPU and put it in my own system and turn the rest into a mc server for 2-5 people. the price of the pre built is 570 pounds (794 USD) or thereabouts and I just want to ask, Should I do it?

So I'm looking at getting a new computer to just play games on and maybe do some like easy web surfing i'm getting the pc from the custom pc in the NZXT bld website but i don't know if I should get the Intel i5 10400f for $1,679 or the Ryzen 5 5600x for $ 1,882 (these prices are after tax and shipping) here are the builds Intel: https://www.letsbld.com/bld/step4?price=1500&draft=6368525640 Ryzen: https://www.letsbld.com/bld/step4?price=1500&draft=8646496746 this pc is definitely overkill saying I'm gonna be playing mostly Minecraft and fortnite but i want to have discord and Spotify open in the background I know i can get the 3060 but im choosing to get the 3060 ti founders edition for $30 more

Hey guys, I recently built my first pc and moved on from my old Alienware prebuilt. I have since put it up on eBay for local pick up but got no response. I want to expand my reach to the whole of North America. What I want to know is what shipping materials should I use and where can I purchase them (online or in-person). The dimensions of the case are 14in by 9 in by 17.5 in. If you want more information on the computer ill put the eBay link below. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Hi all, So, the majority of the components on my rig are from 2012. The only additions have been cheap, and the most recent improvement was an RX 580. At this point, I'm not sure if I want to build from scratch, or if it just makes sense to buy a prebuilt and get my tinkering fix out on that machine while it ages. For instance, this Dell machine seems very reasonable so it's making me think it's not a bad idea to go pre built: https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/desktops-all-in-one-pcs/xps-desktop/spd/xps-8950-desktop/cto8950w11padl3?gacd=9646510-1025-5761040-266794296-0&dgc=st&ds_rl=1282786&gclid=CjwKCAjwzeqVBhAoEiwAOrEmzUacYCR_o9PKTB8nHawohxNcUmrut3LL1ZMULo1fbixwrZkkch1FihoCXKQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&nclid=Bj3oTrre0xLr0KzN5NvZRNSRSyBcDNlZqdTLkS7ogQVu4AQDiMUrJ_Fns0tut8MT I'm just not sure if building my own is worth it considering the time commitment and work. Any thoughts? The other idea is to just continue Frankensteining my old rig with new parts. Needs a bigger/better airflow case, more storage, a modular power supply, eventually new processor...

Bought a pre-built pc (i know... i know) about a year ago. Immediately started having games crash. Not all games, but most of them. the games I'm able to play are very inconsistent in regards to their power draw. examples of what im talking about: Games that work flawlessly: Rocket league, Diablo 2 remaster, destiny 2. Games i can play with periodical crashes: Tiny Tinas, Far Cry 5 Games that crash almost instantly: Cyberpunk, borderland 3, planet coaster Am fairly new to PC but have researched quite a bit on what could be causing the crashes to no avail, and have made upgrades in an attempt to fix it. Current build: MoBo- gigabyte z590 ud ac (came installed) GPU- nvidea geforce 1660 super (came installed) Ram- Gskill trident 16gb (new installed myself) PSU- Corsair RM650x (new installed myself) CPU- intel I7 11700k lga1200(new installed myself, literally today, used to run an intel i5 10400f) as far as i can tell all of my drivers are up to date, and components seem to be fine after running numerous stress tests. I also swapped my friends GPU with mine to test if mine was failing, same exact gpu. games still crashing. im at the end of the line as far to what i feel comfortable doing on my own, so here i am asking for help.

Hi guys, I need to put this into this. Yea, I know. But please, just tell me how I do that Oh, here's the exact issue: I can't find power supply cables for the new graphic card (the default GTX 745 doesn't have any), so I don't know how to power it up. Should I change the power supply itself? Or can I just buy a power cable to add to the power supply or to the mother board?

Hi, looking for a new power supply for a ' HP Pavilion 570-p030na ' It comes with a 180w psu, i was wondering what type of psu's i can fit in there? Also is it possible to replace the motherboard easily? As most pre built use custom dimensions. Im looking to build or buy my first gaming pc So I went to my local micro center and they have a pre built custom water loop for $1399. I’ll add the link so you can see what the specs are. Now I don’t mind building my own pc but from what I’ve read and watched, the value and equipment you are getting for the price is very good. I plan to play rocket league, apex, Fortnite, pubg, Counter strike and other major titles. Maybe one day I’ll stream off the same pc. https://www.microcenter.com/product/600162/x601-gaming-desktop-pc?ob=1 Wanted to know what your thoughts were?

Hi everyone, as you may have seen on my profile iam relatively new to this forum. Anyway let's get right to the topic, why you should never buy a pre built gaming desktop. You may not know what you are actually getting inside the case, yes you may have a spec sheet, but this doesn't give you the full functionality of picking your own parts in a custom build. The graphics card might not be the ideal brand. I.E it might be Asus and you might want MSI, not like that would make a huge difference because its the exact same card but both brands offer OC versions. Already been used. If are into buying things used or want to build a pc with used parts, ignore this part. So let's imagine you have just bought a pc from Walmart or something (I'm not in America so I don't know many shops), they could have branded it as "new" when it has been refurbished. Yes there are good things and bad things about used and new parts but the overall different is wear. How much the specific parts have been used or if they have been abused. Everyone knows this one, too expensive! If you were to build a 7900k system yourself it would cost about $1000 (depending on other specs). Yet if you were to get the same exact pc but made by hp for instance, sold in Walmart or whatever shops you guys have out there, it would cost a lot more due to taxes. There ya go there are the main reasons not to buy a pre built.

I made posts on here about looking for a gaming laptop but I have decided to go the smart route and get a desktop. I am a very low level novice and do not know how to build a computer or really know much about other parts except which graphics cards are better than others so i turned to pre built systems. I know people criticize that but it's all i can do. LINK BELOW THIS LINE----------------------------- https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883152433&ignorebbr=1 This computer is one an expert from newegg recommended me for my price point which is about 750$. GTX 1060 seems really nice and is i5 8th gen (which i know enough to know that is better than i7 7th gen). It seems pretty good also coming with mouse and keyboard and not to mention that case looks SICK! I just want to know what you guys think about it for the price because I'd love to buy it very soon. I'll read all comments! Sincerely, your friendly new comer Rafter.

Hello, I am planning to buy a pre-built PC MSI Aegis 3 8RC (Specs listed below). I am a 3D Designer particularly using Maya the most. My current Laptop has 920M Nvidia and 8GB RAM. And it's a pain in the butt ngl. I need a PC that would satisfy my needs when it comes to working with 3D. And I also need the PC to be able to handle components that need to be retopologized (consisting of millions of verts). The current PC has a price of 1,430 EUR and that's my peak on the cost bar. Hi all, I have recently been looking into a new monitor for more real estate, however, I have hit multiple boundaries. To start I have a budget of roughly £150 and am unable to stretch it any further (maybe a few pounds at the most). I have a list of 'requirements' if you will -> here : 1ms response, 60hz+, thin bezel, good brightness, ips or possibly va?, all of which i can shift on, however I am lenient to all but two - colour accuracy & sharpness -. (I will be using this monitor with my new setup soon too :d) I would only be capable of running 1080p (atm) so I need a 24", i'm one of those people who can see damn pixels even from 3ft away .... And finally, due to my specs, a j2900 (ivy bridge) with integrated graphics, I am limited to a vga output ..... Im not sure if I should be looking at buying a monitor with vga (which limits my options of good monitors), trying to find an active vga to hdmi converter (no idea if these work and allow me to benefit from the monitor), or try to place a cheap psu and gpu into my system in order to have a hdmi output? I have attached images of my system with the hopes you can see what is going on (It currently doesn't have a psu as it runs off an external brick). Do ignore the dust, im in the process of cleaning it and reapplying thermal compound These are few monitors that I have found, however, they suffer from only having a hdmi port or being 27" - https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-Ultragear-27GL63T-27-Inch-Compatible/dp/B07XS9N2CL?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_PC_48ab5ad5_54&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (ik this is 27 but the specs seemed great xD, except the no vga part xD) - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-LED-backlit-Monitor-Response-MaxxAudio/dp/B07CD5J61Z?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_PC_48ab5ad5_14&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (No wall mount or vga) - https://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-EW277HDR-Eye-Care-Brightness-Intelligence/dp/B074Z4CNFX?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_PC_48ab5ad5_47&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (has vga, i question the res for 27" and the colour with 'hdri') - https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-24MP88HV-Infinity-Display-Monitor/dp/B01HZLC716/ref=asc_df_B01HZLC716/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310875581265&hvpos=1o3&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3851747762192994724&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045901&hvtargid=pla-378871387390&psc=1&th=1&psc=1 (bad response but seems to have good colours based on online reviews) -https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-C24RG50-24inch-Curved-Monitor/dp/B07PFJH2YX?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_PC_48ab5ad5_51&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (no vga agains ) I hope you can make sense of all of this and can help me out ~:D, all monitor recommendations and ways to solve my output issue welcome! Hello there, My current project is working on my 6 year old HP Pavilion which I'm trying to turn into a sleeper gaming machine within the original case. I'd like to make some mods to it to improve airflow. Airflow isn't really a huge issue right now as I rarely see temperatures get super high, but I thought it couldn't hurt and would be a fun little project to spend time on rather than spending $1200 on a completely new build. So what do you think I should do to this case to get better airflow? Here are my current specs: Motherboard: Pegatron Memphis-S LGA 1150 (came stock with the pre-built computer, one of the only original parts) Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 CPU @3.60GHz (the best cpu i can have in my current motherboard to my knowledge) RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 1600MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM Graphics Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 3GB (I chose this based on price, but probably should have gone with the 6GB Vram one. Almost time to upgrade anyway) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD (but thinking about adding a larger HDD soon) Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Here are my thoughts as of right now: 1. Add an intake fan. There are holes in the front of the case at the bottom where I could possibly put an intake fan which it currently doesn't have, but the front panel is pretty much sealed off and I would have to drill holes in the plastic so the intake fan could get air which I'm totally fine with doing. 2. Upgrade cpu heatsink and fan. The current heatsink/fan is the original fan for the i3 that came with the pc. I was thinking of replacing it with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO if it will fit. and face the fan toward the back so the intake fan, cpu fan, and exhaust fan have a clear path for air in that bottom chamber. 3. What to do about the graphics card? The GPU in this thing does actually get pretty toasty when running stress tests. (84°C max temp last time I tested). Right now I have the power supply fan facing downward and the graphics card facing upward which I'm pretty sure is not good for either, so I'm thinking that maybe I flip the power supply to face up and make a cutout or drill some holes in the top of the case so the power supply can suck air (or does it blow?) safely and vent out the back. I'm also not sure if the gpu fan blows or sucks, but I can't really do anything about it's orientation unless I get a different gpu which I might be willing to do since it feels slightly underpowered with modern games. Especially if I want to upgrade my monitor soon to 144hz. 4. Actually now that I look at it, I could possibly install two intake fans on the front. One on the bottom by the SSD and one in the middle where the nest of wires is. 5. The nest of wires. stock ketchup and mustard wires from the power supply. There are a lot of extra adapters and things I don't really need for my current setup, so maybe I should get a modular power supply and only plug in the things I need? 6. I realize it would probably be easier to just take all the parts out of my computer and put them in a new case with better airflow design, but I'm trying to make this a fun project like a teenager would do to a Honda Civic. Not only will it be fun, but it should save me some money too. 7. I could replace the rear exhaust fan, but it is quiet and from what I have researched it pushes out 45 cfm which is higher than most. If I upgraded to something higher, it would no doubt be pretty noisy. 8. Speaking of noisy, My whole system right now is whisper quiet except for the graphics card fan. When the fans are at 100% it is super loud. It's not much of a problem during normal gaming, I have my curve set so it doesn't go full throttle unless the temps get super high, but just making a note. 9. Other Upgrades: I took out the original 1TB hard drive because I thought the 500gb SSD would be enough, but as I game hop quite a bit I'm finding myself having to uninstall games I'm not currently playing only to reinstall them later, so maybe I should put it back in (if I can find what I did with it). Or maybe I can just buy a new one. Are some hard drives better than others i assume? Maybe I add another SSD or just have windows on my ssd and get a large hard drive for games. Well, those are my ideas. Anybody else have any? attached is a picture of my computer's guts as I have it right now and the bare motherboard. I feel like with a few improvements it could be something special. What do you think?

I recently picked up a Dell Optiplex 9020 off a buy/sell site, and it seems like its been scavenged for some parts, like the ambient temperature sensor from the front panel. I've had a look on the web, and I've found a couple of sensors that might work: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-Dell-Optiplex-960-Thermal-Sensor-PN-R434D/202051771136?hash=item2f0b395b00:g:kycAAOSwHm5ZtQYp This one is the cheapest I've found, and looks like it has the same connectors as the more expensive one. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Optiplex-7020-9020-XE2-MT-T1600-Thermal-Sensor-and-Cable-N5G78-0N5G78/272921671904?hash=item3f8b6638e0:g:w8MAAOSwr8xaAvXq The more expensive one, apparently for the 9020. So my question is, does it really matter which one I go for? Will they both function the same in the PC, or will I have to get the specific one for my model? I don't see why the cheaper sensor, that has exactly the same connectors WOULDN'T work, but let me know Thanks guys!

For a £1500 gaming computer would you recommend going for a pre-built system or building my own

I was looking on eBay for an inexpensive pre built to put my MSI rx 460 2gb oc in and found this Dell Inspiron 3650 (i5 6400, 8gb ddr3) but I can't tell if it'll actually hold a graphics card. Okay, so im trying to install Windows from a disk on a pre built computer, but a fresh hardrive. When I try to install Windows it says it's missing drivers. The only solution I've seen for that is to install via USB which I've tried ,but it runs into another problem "windows failed to start a recent hardware change might be the cause". When I try windows repair it says it can't reach the hard disk. But the bios says the hard drive is there. The pre built is a holiday envy tower I'm trying to install a western digital blue 1 tb. The pre built by default had a tb so it's not a storage limit.

My friend who happens to be a lazy prick doesnt want to build a computer, he rather just buy it prebuilt, what are some good computers for at home work, some gaming, surfing the web, basically basic things for around $600-$700 Thanks a ton guys
