My newish system won't do anything anymore. I turned it off last night after using it like I normally do with no issues. I went to turn it on this morning and the only thing that happens is the power supply makes a click (It's always done that I believe). I get no display and none of the fans spin. The debug lights on the motherboard also don't do anything but the built in rgb strip is on. I've unplugged everything and have done a CMOS reset with no luck. So I have this old RM750X corsair PSU. I haven't used it since I bought it 5 years ago because of financial reason. Is it still ok to use this when I finally have enough money to buy the rest of the parts?

Hey everyone, I'm looking to buy a Revolt X PSU, either 1000 or 1200w. All of the ones I can buy from retailers are wicked over priced and I'm already pushing my budget with having to spend more money on both a CPU and GPU than I expected. Looking for MSRP+$50. Live in Washington state, paying with paypal.

My question is: is it posible to test the pcie on the power supply to make sure that it was a faulty card and not faulty power that caused the card to go up in smoke , or am i stuck buying a new Power supply to be sure . Hi there! I was wondering if anyone could help as I want to know if my psu would be able to take a rtx 3060ti. It is a seasonic 550w S12III and is brand new I got it the day before the 3060ti was announced. I would just like to know if the psu could run the 3060ti as it has a 6+2 pin and another one daisy chained to it. My system also contains a r5 2600x at stock and 16gb of ddr4 hyperfury memory with a dash of rgb. Thank you for any replies

Today I was having trouble turning on my 9 year old pc. Every time when I tried to turn on, the pc kept beeping but never turned on except the fans. So, I unplugged the ram and reinstalled it. But then the pc never turned on. No beeping, nothing, even the fan didnt turn on, the PSU didnt turn on. So, I thought, I should unplugged everything. After reinstalling every plug, I turned on my pc by clicking the power button. And it didnt work. so I checked the power switch cable, and the cable was a little loose in the switch. Then I tried to move it a little. And when I gave it power, my psu exploded. I unplugged my system as soon as that happen, removed my PSU. Checked it and saw the fuse is gone, there was a little smoke. Now, is it my casing's fault or my psu's fault? And after the explosion is my mainboard alright? And all of it's components (like cpu, ram, hdd)?

Specs are as follows: Corsair RM650 PSU ATX, completely modular, 80 Plus Gold, 650 Watt, RM series Msi Mpg B550 Gaming Plus Atx motherboard Crucial Ballistix BL2K8G36C16U4BL RGB, 3600 MHz, DDR4, DRAM, , 16GB (8GBx2), CL16, AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800X Crucial P5 1 TB CT1000P5SSD8 SSD 3400 MB/s, 3D NAND, NVMe, Be Quiet! BK022 Dark Rock Pro 4 - CPU fan, 250 W MSI GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING Z TRIO 10G LHR Graphics card - RTX 3080, 1830MHz, Fan TRI FROZR, 10GB GDDR6X, 320 bit, PCI Express Gen 4, DisplayPort v1.4a, HDMI, Zero Frozr So in short I did the flash bios update to 7C56v15 and it went down theoretically ok, all the LEDs went on and then after a few minutes the red one next to the port turned off, during this time the PSU fan was running fine. Now that all the components are in the PSU won't start spinning and the motherboard is completely turned off (I mean no LEDs are turned on) I unplugged the ram and back again, same for CPU and there were no bent pins, the storage is behind the headshot but it should be fine I had no problems with installing it, cooler as well went down with no problems, maybe I overdid the theromopaste a bit but it is just out of the border a little and not touching any components, the GPU has 3 8 pins so I used the 2 cables in the PSU box that had 2 6+2 pins so one of them is not plugged. Also the 24 pin connector to the motherboard is closed shut Idk why it went in like butter but it's stuck like glue. I really have no idea what the problem is, so I am hoping for some guesses in the comments.

So I have a CLEVO gaming laptop with an i7-10875H with undervolt max temps 90*C with temp limits set to -15*C from 100, can undervolt more. RTX 2080 Super Max Q. Currently powered by a 180w supply. I plan to overclock the gpu I feel it reaches a point where it requires more power when it suddenly cuts off when both the cpu and gpu are under high load. But working perfectly if the gpu is the only one under load. But under current overclocking capacity the gpu never goes above 70*C but see a gigantic improvement in performance. Is anyone willing to answer my question please. Also planning to add faster ram and ssd storage x2

So, I've been trying to get the full 16gb ram to work (had this pc for 4 years), it only is running 8. I tried to fix it which I thought I did but it just went back to the 8. I reset my pc and re plug my ram to see if maybe one was messed up but I think they work. I tried to play a couple games and they keep crashing on me. I don't know why, before sometimes my pc would run into a problem and have to restart. Before I could play games, but I noticed my pc is only using 8 gb instead of the 16, now I cant even play games. So to sum it up, how do I get the full 16, why is my game crashing is it because of the settings in the game like fps or something(sometimes the game would crash or my pc would) before this didn't happen. I had another problem too where my pc 50/50 of the time would "run" into a problem and it would restart, after one time itt would work for the rest of the day. This only started happening maybe a couple of months ago. I changed my ssd and hdd a couple of weeks ago, if that is useful information. Is this problem a power supply problem? Is everything in my bois look right? I need help with my Ram issue, I have game and pc problems, and before( hasn't happened yet) my pc ran into a lot of problems(restarting).

So I'm starting my first pc build in a few weeks and i decided to follow linus's 900 ryzen build video... however the powersuply in that video is no longer available. I can't seem to find a similar deal to that one so can anyone help me find a similar deal to the power supply in that video, also does it really need a 700w power suply? Another side question but does anyone know when the msi rtx 2060 ventus will be back?

I recently purchased the EVGA 500B for my build and am now wondering if it is worth getting a new PSU. My build is a i5 6600K with a gtx 1070 witch only uses 350W. I have heard that you should avoid this PSU and im wondering if its really worth shelling out the extra $80 for a better PSU just to replace my 500B? Is there really a problem with this PSU? if so what is it? It seems fine to me. My build: https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/list/NyCyqk

Hello. I've been trying to resolve this issue that I'm having. Here's my PC specs. CPU = A4 6300 Ram = 8 gb (2x4GB) rip jaw DDR3-1866 PSU = (Not sure with the brand (cant look at it im not home)) but it is 80+bronze 550w GPU = RX 570 4GB MOBO = Asus A58m-E *Major bottleneck I know. I'm planning to upgrade to Ryzen 5 3500X soon. I just bought the GPU first so I could at least game better than just using the A4-6300. The issue is that whenever I put in the GPU, it will not boot. I tried the basic troubleshooting steps like, reset bios, unplug all connection from the MOBO, etc, Sometimes it will power on (Will light up/fans spin) then power off right away. When I remove the GPU and reset the bios again, it will boot with just the APU. The weird thing is that am able to make the whole system work by hot plugging the RX570 to my motherboard and I am able to use / game without any issues. Until I turn off the PC and it's the whole ordeal all over again. I have no issue when I just do a restart though the whole system boots back up like normal. I suspect that the PSU not giving enough power to the GPU to boot correctly. I can't confirm it since I only have 1 PSU available (the one installed) I appreciate any help that you could provide. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I just bought an ASrock B450M pro4 motherbord for my Ryzen 5 2600 and it looks to have (crumbeling) rubber under some heat sinks. Is that normal? I've attached a picture. Furthermore I plan to buy a powersuply. It will have to power a Radeon rx Vega 56, DDR-4 RAM, a SSD and the previously mentioned components. I am thinking about the be quiet! Pure Power 11 cm ATX 600W 80PLUS Gold for 80 Dollars. Does it have all the cables needed or is the any other powersuply I should consider? Thanks!

Hey guys Does anyone know any good 1U 150mm flex atx PSU's? these things are needed for one minimal 400w anything above is also welcome PCIe 8pin connector for GPU as quiet as possible price below the 200, but that is pretty normal i think if you could link some i would be very happy

This is an upgrade of my 5 yo build. I am not doing gaming, only 3d modeling. Budget : 90$ https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7T2gV7 I bought the CX550 but someone told me that's it's a bad PSU so I wander if I should go with the RM650x/RM550x instead ? Is it REALLY necessary ???? or is the CX550 safe for hammering my 3900x at stock speed + a gpu that never get used over 20% of it's capacities ?
