I noticed one of my fans made a horrible noise when I started up my pc today. To me it sound like the motorshaft of the fan is just spinning freely inside the fan wich would be the reason that the fan didn't run at full speed either. I tried to just add a tiny amount off pressure to the fan with my finger when it was spinning and then the noise dissapeared and it spun at the correct rpm. I believe this is the issue but I posted here just to be sure 20230809_185135.mp4

Hello one and all! Hope you are doing well. Recently purchased a RX 580 8 GB to install in my others computer which had a 1050 TI prior that ran fine, upon installation it has failed to provide any output what so ever. I have tried reseating it 5 or so times, along the power connectors certainly are inserted correctly. I DDU'd the computer before inserting the card, it fails to appear in "devices" what so ever, and I have toggled "show hidden devices" as well. Now the GPU certainly is not dead, I know this because the fans are spinning normally and I actually tossed in my main rig to confirm it wasn't the issue. I have flashed the BIOS to the most recent edition, tried to install radeon graphics but naturally it suggests to me that I do not have a graphics card installed. I only have 1 PCIE slot so I can't test it on another on the board. Heres where I am at: I think its either the PSU or the Mobo. I had this issue in the past when trying to install a 960 (never figured it out, exact same problem actually, got a 1050 TI because I couldn't deal with it anymore) But heres the thing, I hooked the PC up beside my main PC and corded over the PCIE power cables from my 1000 Watt PSU and the problem persisted, ( I don't know if this actually a valid way of testing whether or not it could be a power delivery issue...) So at this point im kind of leaning towards some issue with the MOBO. I have a 450 Bronze EVGA PSU (from my understanding more than fine for the RX 580, albeit suggested of 500 watts, and im running an I3 7100 which is quite a low TDP so im honestly stuck between a rock and a hard place. If I recall correctly, when I tried to correct the same problem with the 960 in the past I actually swapped PSU's much to my pain and suffering but ended with the same result. Desperate for any help, I think I honestly need to get a new MOBO.... Thank you so much for your input and help <3

Read Carefully Motherboard problem or Cpu?

Let me give ya'll the scenario... I was updating my graphics card drivers and that was through GeForce experience, so when I was installing the drivers, it did everything normal except the screen went black which is also normal but it never came back on. I did all basic troubleshooting such as reseating GPU plugging in all connections such as DP HDMI and power cables and nothing. Then I went to my local Microcenter for a repair and said the GPU failed... fortunately we had a warranty and got a 1660 ti because all the others were sold out. We drove home and still experienced the same issue and again went back. We had a different guy and his methodology was different. Like the last guy I can't remember what he used but it didn't involve his own power like a PCIE power connector and it worked fine. When he plugged in the 1660 ti nothing came on and he checked the PCIE cable from the Power supply and its getting power so its not the cable. Then they used a 1070 ti and nothing happened. So, they know the GPU works, and they had no clue and it pointing towards the motherboard. and so we got a new motherboard and CPU because we got a B550 and our old system had a 2700x it is what it is. I rebuilt the new system and I saw light and one strange prompt showed up it said unable to post due to Bios or CMOS restarting again or something along those lines. After that it worked like normal and j was able to pull up the BIOS screen in the new motherboard and everything worked. So could someone help me point me a direction to what it is wrong with my old motherboard because I know it still life unless someone can tell me other wise. Ps. There is no physical damage on the motherboard. Extra Info the old system is about 10 months and 1 year old. For extra info its a ASUS Prime X470-Pro, used a 2700x did not clear CMOS, and randomly had a dead usb port and Ram would unseat itself or not being able to post due to ram, but i would reseat the Ram. I dont have extra parts only thing is in my new system. Ps. There is no physical damage on the motherboard.

vrm cooling Asrock 979 Pro3 R.2 VRM Cooling
FluiD-MoDzz posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hey everyone I have a new fx 8350 on an Asrock 970 Pro3 R2.0 and I have been reading a lot of comments that my VRM’s on my motherboard are not cooled by any heat sinks so overclocking would be a bitch. Does anyone have an ideas what I could do. My 240mm rad is above the motherboard with 2 coolermaster fans running at full speed above it pulling air into the case. Would this be enough to cool down my VRM’s or do I need something else. Thanks in advance.- 29 replies

I've posted a previous article about this and got no response, and didn't get a response from customer support, so any advice is greatly appreciated. I recently purchased my first mechanical keyboard, a "Hyper Clack!" Hyper Clack Keyboard. And well, I've tried contacting customer support at least 5 Times! And I do have a one year warranty, however, maybe this is a simple problem but it has me stumped. Whenever I hold down ANY key for about 5-8 seconds it does one last click and stops, I've went on Keyboard Tester.com and held down about 10 keys until I realized that every key stops after. Here is a Video of keyboard not working , and here is a pic to the "Multimedia Key list" "Also what possibly could be a cover to a dip switch" Pics of list and possible dip switch. THE VIDEOS VOLUME IS VERY LOW, SO TURN UP YOUR VOLUME TO HEAR EVERYTHING, THANK YOU

My specs: Geforce rtx 2080 ti Intel core i9 9900k Ram 16gb ddr4 3200 Motherboard Rog strix z390-f gaming (ik that its overkill) I should not get low fps but in for example csgo i get 200 fps with high setting and my friend with a gtx 1060 3gb and a intel i7-7700 gets the same fps or in warframe i only get like 70 fps with high settings. My dvi cable isn't in my motherboard and my drivers are up to date and my temperatures is fine. Would be really nice if you could help me because i've googled it and i could'nt find anything. Thanks

I recently bought a second GTX 970 and HB SLI bridge, but I am unable to enable SLI in NVIDIA Control Panel. I've updated drivers, swapped PCI slots, updated bios, tried new sli bridge and have read multiple other forums on this issue but I can't seem to find the fix. I know both cards have power and are being recognized by the computer, and that the SLI bridge is at least getting power. At this point, I'm honestly desperate and anything that could lead me in the right direction would be appreciated greatly. Computer Specs Video Card 1: ZOTAC GTX 970 AMP! Does anyone else have issues with the AMD RX 480 STRIX O8G GAMING? I've sent it in for RMA multiple times, with good promise on the issues being resolved. However, all returns have come back with no change in the issue, being, terrible performance in games and tons of frame tearing and stuttering. I'm on the recommended driver update by AMD in their Radeon Software, Driver Version 18.5.1, but this doesn't seem to fix my problems. I have used other graphics cards questioning if it was an issue with another component but everything else is fine with a different one. Even a 10 year old graphics card is more stable than this card as of right now. If anyone has got answers on how to fix this, please help me.
