I have a budget of $900. I am trying to build a gaming pc that can play Minecraft and Roblox, and maybe light streaming at 720p 60fps. I want to know if these are good specs or not. SPEC LIST: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G Quad-Core 3.6Ghz Gigabyte B450M mATX AM4 Crucial P2 500GB M.2 NVME SSD 2400MB/s ASUS GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Phanteks Eclipse P300A ATX Mid Tower EVGA B5 550W 80+ Bronze Fully Modular Samsung 21.5” 1080p 75Hz 5ms IPS Please tell me in the comments if this is a good setup. EDIT: I have upped my budget to $900 for more flexibility. EDIT 2: I am changing my processor to a Ryzen 3 3200G with Vega Graphics. I am still keeping the GPU though.

I'm torn between these two and need some opinions to break the tie. I've had a couple razer keyboards in the past and they're still around years later so I've built a trust with them but haven't had any experience with corsairs peripherals just corsair cases and ram. I'm not interested in making a custom one or getting a smaller keyboard. Which should I go for ? Corsair pro's: - Brighter rgb lighting -Double shot pbt -Macro keys -polling rate of 4000hz not really noticeable on 144hz -icue software which doesn't have 6 tabs open like razer -$30 cheaper Razer pro's: -Analog switches -double shot pbt -Rgb wrist wrest -adjustable actuation point -would match my razer mouse and 1 less software to have installed -Stiffer keys meaning less typos -I've had good experiences with razer

Budget (including currency): 1200$ usd but can go a little bit higher Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Valorant Rust Overwatch - have a seperate pc that can do workloads Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm very confident i can get everything retail so don't worry about that.No peripherals needed. I have a pc that's for workloads so this pc is just for gaming. 1200 is the budget but can go a little higher

Hi, I was looking for a cooler to go with my processor upgrade and judging by the coolers specifications, it's recommended for TDP up to 95watts, which is coincidentally the TDP of the intel core 2 quad q9650 I will be getting, so the question is, will any problems arise under high load? it's max cooling capacity is 100w. And I guess overclocking is out of the question? I would use the stock cooler but the cpu is used and it doesn't include it.

hi, i just want to know what is your hardest decision in your build? keep in mind this is just for sharing

Hi there, guys! :D It's been a while since I've been looking for an upgrade. I haven't really paid close attention to the changes in tech industry for the past year and a lot has changed, I'm having trouble keeping up. That's why, since my Samsung laptop broke, I wanted to ask you for some advice. I need to pick a new laptop, but: it's mainly going to be used for web development by me and light use by my mother I'm not interested in gaming anymore, so I'd go as far as to say it can be bad at it - CPU is more important to me I'm not sure what to do with storage since I'd love to try that M.2 goodness hands on and I want the laptop to run as fast as it's physically possible, but I do have a 240GB SataIII SSD from the previous laptop with all the data. If the laptop that you find has less than 240GB of ordinary SSD storage, then I'd simply replace them. Otherwise, I think I'd copy all the necessary data I don't think I need more than 8GB of RAM, but if the laptop had a free DDR3L slot or two then I could add another 8GB from my previous machine it has to be under $1000, I'm not rich yet and I don't need a lot horsepower what I need though is a sharp display, touch-enabled if possible I'm looking more fondly at ultrabook segment/class rather than ordinary, thin laptops I'm not against MacOS So TL;DR - I need the best ultrabook for less than a grand. Will you help me out? Thanks in advance! :D

I started off with a 1080p 27in 144hz monitor avg response time of 8ms. I recently played on a 32 in 2k monitor and I fell in love with the size (that’s what she said) but the 32in I played on didn’t have quite the gaming specs I needed plus it was a FreeSync monitor and I couldn’t get it to work properly with my G-Sync system for some reason had stuttering and ghosting happening. sadly i dont remember the monitor brand. I’ve been looking at a few monitors which one should I go for? https://www.gpucheck.com/monitor/31.5-acer-predator-z1-z321qu/ predator z1 z321qu Has G-Sync 165hz over clocked With a not so good avg response time of 12ms https://www.gpucheck.com/monitor/31.5-lg-32gk650f/ LG 32gk650f Has FreeSync 144hz Avg response time of 7ms https://www.gpucheck.com/monitor/31.5-benq-ex3203r/ BenQ EX3203R Has Freesync 144hz avg response time is 8ms My question here is wouldn’t the Acer be better since I’m running NVIDIA with a G-sync monitor or would the LG and BenQ still be better using the G-Sync FreeSync compatibility features that Nvidia provides? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. trying to get the smoothest playing 32in monitor i can get. Games i play: PUBG, CSGO, RABOW SIX, GTA etc..

Hi, guys! After countless hours of scrolling through offers, reading reviews and testing I've picked my favourite pairs of headphones. I have found some very interesting offers, but I have no clue which to pick And keep in mind - I pretty much need/have to buy a USB AMP/DAC, since my onboard audio is pretty bad and my front audio jack is broken and I don't want to plug my headphones at the back, because I have speakers plugged back there. 1. AKG K550 + Fiio E07K (120$ + 32$) It would be an obvious choice, but of course, life has to be harder. These devices are used. They're 3 years old I am told. Although the DAC is in perfect condition, the pads on headphones are highly damaged, and these alone are a bit scratched near the edges. That adds the cost of new pads (32$) later on in the future. The seller seems very thruthful and nice - I think he can be believed, that these work perfectly fine, but I still have no real warranity, so I would be uncovered in case of something breaking. But, on the other hand, this is very cheap, I presume (yet noone wants to buy it for some reason at that price...Maybe that's a hint). The cost of a new pair with a DAC is around twice that amount. Also, by far, this is hands-down my favourite pair of all time and I would gladly hear it with a DAC! Another important thing to consider is that I don't listen to music a lot and I use my headphones almost exclusively for gaming and Skyping (and I don't even do that often lately) so I don't know if I desperately need such an expensive pair. 2. HyperX Cloud + Fiio E07K or E10K (depending on which I find for better price) (120-170$) I've just came back from my friend's place testing out his new pair of Clouds. It ensured me that I really like them, but not as much as AKGs. On the other hand, they're good enough and this is the price for everything newly bought in shop - that gives me a few year warranity. The problem is with the DAC, which I'll have to buy to use the headset anyway - there are no offers for E07K. There are only for much better E10 or E10K, but also twice as expensive. In the end the cost for this option would be higher, but I would know what I would be paying for + it's still very solid. I don't know ? Which option would you choose? Will an expensive Fiio E10K make the Clouds sound like AKG K550s without one? If yes, then I'd be pretty happy with that too. Huuge thanks in advance! Thomas

Hey there, so here I am again looking for a motherboard, different CPU this time - the Intel i5-6600 . Give me recommendations and tell me your thoughts. I am not looking to overclock obviously. Thanks

Hello, basically picked out a few motherboards for my new CPU, the Xeon 1231 v3. Before I make a purchase kinda want some re-assurance from smart people in the category hence I'm making this Basically didn't want to go all out with a motherboard since I mean never had an expensive one and never see why I'd need one now. The ones that I've picked out are: http://www.cclonline.com/product/125368/90MB0G50-M0EAY5/Motherboards/Asus-B85M-G-Motherboard/MBD0741/ http://www.cclonline.com/product/122464/90MB0GT0-M0EAY0/Motherboards/Asus-H81M-C-Motherboard-Core-i7/i5/i3/Pentium/Celeron-1150-H81-uATX-Gigabit-LAN-Integrated-Graphics-/MBD0725/ http://www.cclonline.com/product/204975/H81M-G/Motherboards/ASRock-H81M-G-Socket-1150-mATX-Motherboard/MBD1920/ http://www.cclonline.com/product/122211/90MB0GI0-M0EAY0/Motherboards/Asus-H81M-PLUS-Motherboard-Core-i7/i5/i3/Pentium/Celeron-1150-H81-uATX-Gigabit-LAN-Integrated-Graphics-/MBD0719/ http://www.cclonline.com/product/128785/GA-B85M-DS3H-A/Motherboards/Gigabyte-GA-B85M-DS3H-A-S1150-B85-MATX-VGA-SND-GLN-U3-SATA-6GB/S-DDR3-IN/MBD0749/ Now my questions: 1. Do all of these support the Xeon and my R9 380x with normal DDR3 RAM? In the ''specifications'' for them, none of them say they support the Xeon but they are the 1150 socket so maybe they just forgot to include it or am I missing something. 2. Which one of these would be the best, does any particular one stand out or are they pretty much the same. For me the ASUS H81M-C stands out because......it has more back USB ports lol. Is there any better boards that are around the same price category/bit higher that would be worth spending more for? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am currently planning my next server build; it will be responsible for Plex streaming and Handbrake transcoding, as well as storing all the media. Therefore, I am looking for a pretty powerful Xeon, a board to match and some ECC ddr3. The memory is sorted so don't worry about that, I just need help choosing the processor and then finding a reasonably priced board. I am thinking of going for used server hardware, with something like a E3 1270 v2 (4 cores/8 threads and 3.5ghz clock/3.9ghz boost) as well as an Asus WS board. Does this seem like wise choices? Is there a better option for the money? As for budget, Im looking at about £200 for cpu motherboard combo but I am willing to stretch for extra performance. I am looking for something with a score of at least 9000 on cpubenchmark. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hi, my friend recently asked me to help him pick some parts for his next computer and I would like for someone who knows more than I do to check my choice of parts. People of the Linus forum! I am having a hard time choosing between Gtx980 or R9 Fury. The cheapest well known brands on the gtx980 (Gigbabyte,Asus, MSI) retail for about $30 less than the R9 Fury (Strix & Sapphire Tri-x) here in Norway. I have been a fan of the green team for a while but looking at the R9 Fury after AMD fixed their application and driver issues.... (so i`ve heard) Still using a 24 inch 60Hz monitor but looking to upgrade after getting a new GPU. Any thoughts on witch card to choose? Not sure when i will upgrade my monitor but will go 120hz or 144hz in the future! Both cards are in my budget ($630, today's currency) and not willing to go for the Ti or X versions of the cards. Hope you guys can help me with this one! Been looking at reviews and the GTX980 is solid (its Nvidia) but i am flirting with the red as well. Only concern I have is the coil whine i`ve been hearing about on the R9 Fury. Is there anyone out there who can help me? Alright, I want to pick something that I can hopefully use with everything now. I hate having like twenty different usernames that I don't care too much about and just thought of on the spot. Maybe you guys can help? So far I have two that I like: autonEmi emiry Probably thinking way too much into this, but whatevs. I like the above because they relate to my name (Emi/Emily). If someone wants to help me out and think of something better, feel free! Thanks

Im looking at building a nas/htpc but my main issue is that i cant seem to pick a cpu because im not sure what to look for, i was leaning towards just a celeron g1840 because i dont plan on doing any transcoding, just transfering files between computers and using this pc really as mass storage, all content thatll be watched will be on a laptop or another computer so i dont think i need a strong processor because no transcoding is needed, i just want to be able to share movies from one place instead of having a bunch of external hard drives everywhere, would this cpu fit my needs?

I am VERY silence oriented. I have a CX600 and I think that sums up my issue Anyways, I am looking for something super quiet and reliable. So Im planning on building my first computer. I have done extensive research on the topic and i cant find a GPU that can run ultra 60fps while still standing at under $280. im stuck deciding between the gtx 960 super superclocked and the 970. i would like something in between in term of performance and price. any suggestions are appreciated, also i would prefer to use an nvidia card. Here is my current build (updated link) http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Cactusneedle_18/saved/#view=hhWj4D
