Hey LTT community, I've been encountering an issue with Steam that I hope some of you can help me with. Initially, I installed Steam on my D drive, but it wouldn't launch—it only appeared in the Task Manager. I tried reinstalling it on the C drive, and it started working. However, when I download games and install them on the D drive, I face disk errors during the verification process. I've checked for sufficient space on the D drive, made sure permissions are in order, and considered antivirus and firewall settings, but the problem persists.(Tried alot of basic methods but none works) If any of you have experienced a similar situation or have insights on how to successfully run Steam on the D drive without encountering disk errors, and especially if you've encountered the Task Manager issue, I would greatly appreciate your advice. So I did a clean windows install in my PC recently. I had some games installed via xbox game pass. As my hard drive is completely clean,I will have to have to redownload those games from scratch. And my internet connection is not that good either,it'll take me couple of hours to download a simple 50GB game. Which is pretty time consuming and also kinda boring. Is it possible to copy the game files from my friends computer and put them in my pc like I did with Epic and Steam games?

So couple days ago I finished building my computer, my computer specs is Ryzen 5 3600 b450m steel steel legend Oloy 16GB 3200mhz CL16 Gamerock OC RTX 3070ti Cooler Master MWE V2 650W GOLD So when I first installed windows and everything it was good until I had a problem where my pc restarts its self, like when you press the reset switch, it does that when I use gpu benchmarks application and also playing games, so I fixed it by disabling the XMP settings in my bios, and it works I can benchmark and play games without my computer restarting its self, until recently I decided to play DOOM:Eternal and I set it on Ultra Nightmare settings and after 5 minutes into the game it restarts its self and get me back into my logging screen on windows, so I tried to put the settings on high only and it played well without restarting, played for about an hour and I am using an old samsung tv 1280x720 60hz atm until I get a monitor so I don't know if it also have effects when I play games, so I've been reading and searching for solutions on the internet that it could be a bad psu, ram, motherboard, now I don't think my psu is the problem cause it runs just fine when I use benchmarking utilities like furmark, Heaven Benchmark, etc I even used pcpartpicker to calculate the wattage and there is some room for the psu to breathe, but I suspect it could be the ram and the motherboard or its just the mb, because if the problem were my Ram the system would shutdown completely, but I don't know and also I had instability in the system when I enabled xmp settings, I contacted Asrock support about this and still no reply from them, and another good reason why I suspect my mb is because when I press restart and press the button to go into the bios it just gives me black screen even when I use the advanced startup trick from windows recovery section, also Asrock does have an application that let you go into the bios on the next restart, its the same result, I have to press the reset button and then boot into windows and then when I want to go into the bios I have to shutdown my whole computer off and then turn it back on and then It will let me into the bios and I find that very annoying tbh but I hope you can help me with these problems that I am having.

Hey guys, Im currently waiting to resume my flight training once this pandemic finally get over with. In the mean time, I want to keep up my proficiency as best I can while the flight time is hard to find. Whats the best and cheapest option to run the new version of Microsoft Flight Sim. Also what would the best VR setup be? I cant spend insane amount of money as obtaining a commercial pilots license is already a money pit. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as my understanding of computers is lacking to say the least. Love the build videos though. Cheers!

Hello! I was wondering if I should use 1080p or 4K if I wanna test out my PC's gaming capability. I remember something about 1080p being CPU bound and 4K being GPU bound so now I'm unsure what resolution to pick when benchmarking my system.

Hey everyone so I have a 4k TV the Sony 900f, love the tv and hdr is sooo amazing.(Wish there was 1080p hdr options) My current pc mainly use it for gaming has rtx 2080 ti founders edition, I7 6700k overclocked to 4.6ghz with 16gb ram. So far a lot of games in running 4k has bottlenecks and it's really bothering me. So I want to upgrade my cpu but since I am upgrading my cpu I plan to upgrade my ram to 32 gb as well. But deciding for cpu has been a bit difficult. I am not sure which cpu to get so far its between i9 9900k and ryzen to 3990x. Money isn't totally the biggest issue but definitely don't wanna spend a grand for a cpu. If you guys recommend a better cpu than those I can take a look. But this is for pure gaming. So what do you guys recommend for cpu for 4k rtx 2080 to gaming. I dont wanna have annoying fps issues like I have with i7 6700k.

Hey guys, I've tried doing a search but can't seem to find a straight answer. Basically I just want to record my gameplay to make youtube videos and also have a facecam/overlay so I'm using OBS to record. I also use Premiere Pro to edit... OBS defaults to MKV format but that's not supported by Premiere Pro, and I don't want to have to convert hours of footage every day lol. What settings would you suggest using in OBS? Mp4? Mov? what encoding? etc.. I've tried a few things but either have audio problems, or get a video with a ton of artifacts, etc FYI im running a Ryzen 3 3200G and GTX 1650 Super Thanks

hello everyone! I need help picking parts for a budget build, my budget's around $400-600CAD, a decent build that can handle most high end games. I have a bit of knowledge about what I need but still not 100% sure. Thank you very much! :))

I have recently built a budget gaming PC with a R7 2700X, RTX 2060 VENTUS OC, 16GB 3200 LPX(XMP profile enabled), and the NZXT H150 for a case. I use the 2 case fans that come with the case and I use the stock wraith cooler for my CPU. For games, I play the new modern warfare, fortnite, and valorant. I play all 3 of these titles on low settings and my FPS averages are very good and to my liking. My only concern with the build are my CPU temperatures. When playing Warzone with medium settings I get around 120fps. I usually run MSI Afterburner in the background and it tells me that my CPU is getting up to 70C. This is very concerning to me and I'm wondering if there are any possibilities as to why that is. My CPU gets this hot only while playing Warzone so this does not include fortnite or valorant. I have also went into the bios and have ran my CPU fan at max speed and it gets very loud. Is there something wrong with my cooler/CPU, or is this how hot AMD processors get?

Hey guys, Im a console guy trying to make my way over to the PCMR. I must say not as easy as it looks. As far as mouse and aiming as such i can get use to. However, movement with the wasd just isn't working out. Not only is it uncomfortable for my wrist but my finger are really big and the buttons too close together. Is this something i'll get use to? Should I stick to console? Any tips?

My i7 7700k, oc to 4.8hz, and GTX 1080 are running games at around 60 FPS, while the CPU is at 100% and GPU at 70%. I already tried reinsalling GeForce drivers, vsync is off, although I have a 144hz display, but games still run lower than what they should. For example: Rainbow Six Siege would run at 140 FPS usually, but now its running at 50/60 FPS with drops to 40. I also tried seeing if the PSU had a problem, but with CPUID HWMonitor it showed that there wasn´t a problem. Please I need a solution so I can play Warzone, thanks in advance.

when on Mozilla Firefox I try to scroll up and down there is a stuttering/delay. Sometimes when typing on YouTube i feel the lag between the letter and when it’s displayed. This only happens when I have a game running in the background. But it’s not only mozilla Firefox it’s the whole computer that stays slow when having a game in the background and my cpu is not being use with a 100% utilization. My specs: Rysen 5 2600 not overclock version RX590 gigabyte 8gb 16 ram lpx Corsair 2400mhz Power supply: 500watts EVGA bronze 80+ Motherboard: b450 M aorus SSD 512gb with windows on it running. I know console does not keep a consistent 60fps but i was wondering if I could get that from a pc? What kind of cost am I looking at to get something similar on pc? I use to play a lot of MMORPG games but now I like shorter type games so I was hoping to switch to PC gaming. my budget is flexible, I would like something good enough with upgradable parts for later.
