I need help upgrading my HP PC, my main caveat is my PSU, I need to upgrade my PSU in order to upgrade anything else GPU wise. I currently have a Rx 560 and I know this PC can do more it's just my PSU is holding me back, any power supply options for me? And it does not use a standard 24 pin motherboard connector I honestly don't know what connector Powers the motherboard or CPU any idea to find that out?

Country: México Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Brawlhalla, Fortnite, Minecraft and other games but those are the main ones Other details I currently have a i3-9100f, 8gb ram, gt1030 and I’ve been having a lot of low fps(more than usual) and fps spikes( going from 60 to 14fps for seconds and coming back to 60) and i’m planning on buying a new gpu and more ram to fix it, but I was wondering if I should buy the gpu and ram or maybe a new mobo, cpu and ram because I heard that it might be the problem too. Im planning to upgrade from the gt1030 to an rtx 3050 and 8gb of ram to 16gb. What should I do? I also want to play some other games but cant because of the outdated gpu.

Today i got my NZXT Kraken 240 2023 AIO cooler and installed, followed a video guide of the exact cooler and consulted the manual when needed. Got everything done with, connected everything with all the right pins and connections on the motherboard, dusted some things off and cleaned some external fans, then shut the PC all up and plugged everything in. Press the power button and nothing, not a single thing, no fans spinning, no RGB lights, no sounds no nothing. So i went to the Drawing board, i noticed that when i turn on the PSU the screen on the Kraken thats in front of the CPU turns on then shuts off after a second of being on. Things ive dont to try and remedy this are following: •Check for any leaks in the tubing(none that i can immediately see) •Resest CMOS maybe thinking that(not that either) •Tried unplugging certain things seeing if it was an issue with not enough power going into the pc cause of new hardware(nope) •Did tests to see if the PSU was fried(nope not that either) •Reseated all the Ram, Pins, CPU, and everything with no avail •Tried putting my old cooler in to see if that was it(not that either) Personally i think that it is the Power button some how not working, I ordered an external power button to see if that is the issue and if not then im at a loss. Everything feels so hollow, this PC is my passion project, the one thing i had that i was proud of and now it seems like its dead in the water(metaphorically) Please, please, please if anyone has any sort of an idea of how this can be fixed i would appreciate all the help i can get im so desperate right now for absolutely anything

So for the past few days the PC I built just won't post and I've looked at multiple videos but nonthing seems to work. I did find out the ram I was using wasn't compatible with my motherboard and got new ones that are but it still won't post all my parts are compatible so I shouldn't need a BIOS update so now I'm just stuck trying to figure out what to do. Also everything lights up so I don't think its a power issue. Its a B650M Pro RS wifi board with A ryzen 5 7600 and 2 sticks of corsair vengeance rgb ddr5 ram 32 gb and a radeon rx 7800 xt graphics card. Here a picture with my pins incase that's the issue

hello im a noob and I'm building my first pc and was wondering if a ryzen 7 7800x3d + 4060 ti combo would be bad for competitive gaming. I mainly play CSGO and Valorant which are more cpu based and occasionally gpu based games but not often. if that combo is bad what would be the best combo for a cpu based game like csgo and valorant that would get me good fps!!! NOTE- MY BUDGET IS AROUND 1300-1400 MAYBE A LITTLE MORE??? this is pretty much the build I had in mind (tell me if I should change anything help is wanted!!!) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bbpfdH

First time posting on the forum, not sure if I've categorized this correctly but looking for some help CPU | Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700K CPU @ 3.80GHz 3.79 GHz GPU | Aorus Master 4080 RTX 16 GB Mobo | Aorus Z460 Ultra RAM | 32.0 GB(2x16 GB) G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 PSU | Corsair RM 1000x 80 Plus Gold System | 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Monitor | Samsung C49RG90 Cooler | Aorus 360 Liquid AIO Case | Corsair 4000D Airflow I been having this issue that when I play games, after my computer has been on for an hour or two (asleep / idle or running) my computer with lag for a brief second. The audio of whatever I'm doing keeps running but my video will freeze for a second. I have a frame counter and that dips when it happens too. I experience this with almost all of my games, even games without high demand like League or Hades. The longer my computer has been on the more frequently the freezes occur. I can fix it temporally by resetting my PC then going right back to what I was playing with out the freezes but it comes back after an amount of time and starts getting worse all over again. My temps stay in a good range and I haven't had issues with overheating. I've searched online for fixes but I haven't had much luck on anything as specific to the problem I'm dealing with. Its frustrating dealing with this especially during online play, any help with this would be amazing thank you!

Computer worked fine from june, when i built it, until the beginning of this month when my computer had a WATCHDOG_CLOCK_TIMEOUT blue screen. I looked it up and thought whatever, it's just a random blue screen. Until it happened again and again. I tried updating my drivers and windows, i tried to boot directly into WBM instead of grub and then WBM and then it was fine up untill 2 days ago when it blue screened again and then last night. Last night I restarted my computer and opened a game, then it blue screened, i turned my computer off and back on, instant blue screen didn't even get to the lock screen, turn it back on and it starts hanging on the windows loading, i switch to my linux drive and that crashes in the same way (keep in mind that's on a separate drive not just partition). As of right now it won't even get close to booting, I turn it on and the power indicator light just flashes, no post and no bios access, I've tried almost everything in the no POST guide that's stickied. I've also tried reseating the CPU and replacing the thermal paste before putting the cooler back on, still no luck. Sorry for the novel and here's my specs: i7-13700k (base clockspeed) 32gb DDR5-6000 (not running in xmp) RTX 2060 6GB ASUS Prime Z790-P WIFI Corsair RM850x Corsair H5 Flow 1 WD_BLACK 1TB NVME drive 1 INLAND 1TV NVME drive

Sometimes when I turn off my PC and then turn it back on again it would turn on all the lights would come up but my monitors would stay idle without being on and when I turn the monitors on individually they would say no signal It just randomly works after i turn it off and on like a ton of times and its getting really annoying because I keep getting a bug where valorant wants me to restart my computer to play the game because vanguard isn't initialised so its like i have to do all this to turn on my computer and play a game.

Budget (including currency): *2000 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Apex Legends, Minecraft, High Graphic Roblox (max graphics on most games). Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a part list of PCPartPicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/86mRDq I'm planning on buying in a couple years so I can save up some money to make this build. I would like to play at 1440p, 144-160 Hz, I wouldn't like the PC and peripherals to be more than 2000, the components that are still there please don't switch it maybe the cooler and some peripherals (don't switch out the pc components), but I would still like it to be aesthetically pleasing without it being more than 2-3k (the whole pc including peripherals). Thank you to whoever would like to comment and fix my mess.

I bought an AORUS NVMe Gen4 SSD 1TB last Dec.12, 2020 and it was working fine up until this morning when I tried to download a game on steam got the error Disk Write Error. I tried restarting my PC and I was able to download the game but when I tried to download another game it did the same thing, I also tried to reseed the M.2 but still getting the same problem. restarting my PC seems to make the SSD work for a while but it will suddenly run into the same problem, I also tried formatting it but still getting the same issue. I got Crystaldiskinfo and the SSD toolbox to record what's happening not sure what to do now any help or advice would be appreciated. 243087849_Newvideo.mp4

If anyone can give me some constructive criticism/ suggestions it would be appreaciated.

When I power my computer on, the fans come on and it lights up, however it does not display any output. On the motherboard it indicates a CPU error, however when I bought the motherboard, it came with the cpu pre-installed. I need someone to help me and tell me how to fix it. I also reseated the CMOS battery, however it still did not work. Also note that I fear it overheated. It has been working smoothly for around a year now until yesterday a sudden bluescreen error occurred and crashed my PC. Ever since, it will not display any output. I think I might need to re-apply thermal paste, would this work? Specs: MSI b450 tomahawk max Ryzen 7 3700x Zotac Gaming RTX 2060 Corsair spec-delta rgb case 2 tb sabrent rocket Q ssd 4 tb seagate barracuda hard drive

Computer will light up and the fans will run but it will not turn on. My PC ran into a bluescreen error and Immediately turned off. Since then, it will not turn on. When I press the power button it lights up and the fans start running but no power goes to the usb devices such as my mouse or keyboard and it does not turn on at all. Keep in mind that the PC has been running fine for the past year or so.

Hi, I've been having an issue where when a game launches into full screen it freezes my computer or makes everything black and unusable. I've had to hold my power button to turn it off to get back to being working. I did a disk check and found some corrupted files but windows said they were fixed. This has only recently started happening. If anyone knows anything I can do to fix this please tell me.

The pad also turns on when the power supply is on. when I checked the hardware one side. The motherboard has a USB port labelled, "USB 3.0 BIOS" and I also have a driver DVD. I don't have a DVD slot but am willing to get a USB one. My friend and I have the same issue. Help would be highly appreciated. I have a question. I built my first PC last night and the motherboard rgb (which is the only rgb in the whole computer) turns on when I plug it in and flip the switch to on. However, there is no other indication that it has power, no fans spinning, no indicator light on motherboard, no display output. I also noticed that if I plug a keyboard in, it doesn't have power either. Windows has not been installed yet. What did I do wrong? Specs: Motherboard: Asrock B460 Steel legend CPU: Intel Core i5-10400f Graphics card: Zotac Gaming Geforce GTX 1660 6GB Please tell me if you need more information, All parts are brand new from amazon or newegg.

Budget (including currency): €1200 Country: Ireland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft, Phasmaphobia. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): First post, have probably missed something but I'm trying to help a friend build a PC. So far I've put this together https://ie.pcpartpicker.com/list/ZnwCHz We were going to go without a GPU and use the new 5700g instead. Peripherals don't really matter and looking to pretty much max out at 60fps. Fans are yet to be decided, if the parts are okay we'll check those out.
