Hello, I stupidly bought this motherboard without realizing that it does not support under-volting in the BIOS. I would love to be able to change the PBO but the motherboard does not have the option available. Is there some software or work around out there that would help me with this? In Ryzen master there doesn't seem to be an option available to me. Thanks in advance!

Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix Z590-E CPU: Intel i9-11900k RAM: G.Skill RipJaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) (PC4-32000) CL15-16-16-36 1.50V Model F4-4000C15Q-32GVK GPU: AMD Radeon RT 6950 XT HDD: 990 PRO 2TB https://pcpartpicker.com/user/paradoxumlexx/saved/syDkf7 To spare the long story I've decided to stick with this setup for as long as possible (years), money needs to go to my 80TB unraid server for a while and this thing breezes through anything I've tried so far. Anyway I watercool and I like to overclock. 51/2core 50/5core 49/6 core 1.490vcore I could probably lower my CPU temps but it's stable right now so I wanna play with the ram. I've found eg; https://github.com/integralfx/MemTestHelper/blob/oc-guide/DDR4 OC Guide.md But I really don't have time to learn all of that. As in I'm generally busy with other stuff and it's far too much info for me especially cause it's numbers and ADHD etc. But I do want to eventually understand it and be able to tweak my own ram without referring to guides or copying random peoples timings I find online. I got this with exactly stock XMP settings and just changing 36 to 28 (which I did by accident actually heh). Just give me a few secondary timings and recommended changes and why etc, somewhere to start and I'll play with those. What program should I use in windows to display or even modify timings? Thanks!

175+ Submissions! Over 20,000 views! Color ranking explanation(based on hours stress tested): Red: Less than one hour (or just a CPU-Z Validation) Orange: 1-3 Hours (or at least 40-50 passes with prime95) Green: 4-6 Hours Purple: 6+ Hours Okay so I have a form all drawn up and in place, and it automatically adds entries to the DB spreadsheet. The form itself is fairly self explanatory, however I would happy to answer any questions that occur. If i missed something that you feel should be added to the form, (hopefully nothing blatantly obvious  ) let me know! I can edit the form and DB at anytime. Also i will be checking the DB spreadsheet to validate entries. If an entry comes through that doesn't match up to the photo, or if the entry comes without a photo it will be flagged yellow. This just means not verified, and it WILL stay in the DB. However if you want this flag removed pm me with your missing photo, etc and I will update your entry and remove the flag :). If you have multiple machines, or CPUs to swap out with, please add them! Lets make this database huge! Lastly, yes I realize that my entry is not OC'd at all but that was just me testing my form. I'm only on stock atm, so when i actually have the time to tinker with my PC and have money for a cooler i may add another entry :P Without further adieu here are your two links; Form :https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1qqM1jDGeh_tA99PZLcRzAvETYK9R3qdu84-vK34wuSE/viewform Database Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtYAz9JoDICbdFM3dXBaNjZPMVgzWE1jYUlZekZYc3c#gid=0 Also don't forget to share your thoughts/opinions! Cheers, MeltyMoon Update 10/16: With a new Cinebench Release I would like to ask all new entries to be measured in that version of release! All old entries are fine, but can be updated if you wish to have a up to date entry :). To update your cinebench score, run the new build (which will be linked in the form) and take a screen cap of it and pm it to me! Thanks in advance! Update: Just in case any of you didn't realize, my new method of letting you know if an entry has been approved or not yet is if the Intel, or AMD spaces have been matched up to the color code. If you notice that some entries haven't, don't worry about it. I'm only human and I will make sure I will update your entries the next chance I can :) All new Haswell entries will require a main tab of cpu-z and a RAM tab of cpu-z as well. Users that do not include both will be flagged orange in their image link section. Feel free to PM me and I will update your submission if you need it revised! Update 2: Cinebench optional tab created! I would love to see users either update their existing entries by PMing me their scores, and I would love to see all new entries include one! This way we can see how CPUs at given frequencies compete! Link to the Cinebench page is included in the submission form for your convinience :) Example Screenshot: Something like this is great! Makes my life very easy :P I'm looking for: 1. CPU Load (shown through something like aida, or just the windows performance tab on the task manager) 2. CPU-Z Open on the main tab (and a CPU-Z RAM tab for Haswell entries) 3. Some sort of temperature monitoring suite 4. A stress test software (aida, prime, intel tuning utility, etc.) Something that records the total time stressed(built in for aida or intel tuning utility), or a way to show me how long the processor was in fact stressed for.

Hi, I recently received some old hardware which I've been using to run a lightweight minecraft server on windows 10. (I know there are people who will say "why dont you use linux" and to those people, I know nothing about linux :). Anyway, I just want to know if I'm using this setup to its full potential, and if not, how do I get it at its max/stable overclock? Or can it be overclocked at all? Specs: CPU: intel core i7-3770 (non k) @3.40ghz base & up to 3.90ghz boost MOBO: Asus P8H67-M PRO (all default settings) BIOS: 3904 x64 (04/27/2013) Cooler: Hyper 212 black GPU: Nvidia GTX 580 Storage: standard 256gb hdd (will be upgrading to an ssd soon) PSU: 750 watt

Hey guys, After 2 weeks of tinkering with my new build I'm officially out of ideas how to fix my issue and I need some help. Said issue - whenever I choose any of the default OC options in BIOS (DOCP I, DOCP II or DOCP Tweaked) I get a blue screen either before Windows login screen or directly after logging in. Sometimes it works for about 5 minutes and then it BSOD's. PC is stable only when Auto is selected which limits RAMs speed to 3600MHz. CPU: Ryzen 9 7950X3D MOBO: Asus Crosshair X670E Hero (latest BIOS 1904) RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 4x16GB (SKU: CMT64GX5M4B5600C36) That RAM is on the QVL list. Otherwise system is perfectly stable - no overheating, no other issues. MCR works perfectly, PBO as well and the system loads in about 20 seconds or less I think. I've already tried clearing CMOS more than a few times, flashed BIOS 3 times, did clean Windows reinstall more than 10 times. Had to do all that, because there were times when the PC was at the verge of bricking itself from all the BSOD's. Like I said I'm out of ideas - should I just overclock manually? Can someone tell me how to do that if so? Or are there other ways of fixing this? Bunch of side notes: 1. I tried changing just the memory frequency in BIOS to 5200 and 5600 leaving everything else on auto, seemed more stable, but I don't know if that's safe. I think it only crashed once with that or maybe not even at all. 2. One time I got stuck in a Blue Screen Death Loop - basically couldn't get into BIOS (not responsive) and PC crashed immidiately before Windows login screen. And it just kept doing that over and over until I turned it off and cleared CMOS. 3. Don't ask me what BSOD screen says in terms of an error info - it's a whole catalogue and it's different everytime. I've got at least ~10 different causes. 4. Corsair iCue tends to not see RAM quite frequently (RGBs not syncing and not showing, etc.) even when it's not OC'ed. It works fine for a few days and then either stops completely or sees 1 or 2 sticks. I haven't figured out if it's caused by RAM itself or just iCue acting up.

So I've got my 2x8GB DDR4 3600 MHz Trident Z CL18 1.35v Ram that is acting a bit weird. XMP wont even boot. Haven't checked the timing XMP sets but I've set the factory ones on the bios (18-22-22-42). Changed the FLCK to 1800 and set the RAM to 3600 at 1.35V but its unstable. Tried to add more V still same outcome. Lowered it to 1.3V and works like a charm. Any thoughts on this? I've Undervolted and OCed both my CPU and GPU but I'm not sure if that even affects this. So as i said in the title I'm about to do an upgrade on my PC but i only have an XFX XTR 550w Gold PSU (Was "Tier A" when i bought it like 4-5 Years ago not sure about now). Current specs are listed here (CPU-Z: https://valid.x86.fr/lh33b9) but in summary i have Undervolted and Overclocked the following parts. CPU(5600X) GPU(1070TI EVGA Ultra Silent FTW) RAM(2x8GB Trident Z DDR4 3600MHz cl18) If you need more details just let me know. So question is should i buy first a GPU(Probably Used one) and after 2-3 months a PSU or the other way around? I'm thinking about buying a 3070/ti/super (Which ever is around 300euro at the time) I've checked on PSU Calculator and all my parts(Overclocked) with a 3070 at 100% TDP is around 450W which means i have a headroom of 100W. Preferably i would like the GPU first but i can get the PSU and wait 1-2 months if that makes things right. Is it too much for my PSU to handle? Should I undo all the overclock and keep the undervolt in order to have more headroom if i get the GPU first? If you have any other GPU in mind feel free to let me know.

So the last 2 years I got this pc specs: Case:: CoolerMaster MasterBox MB311L ARGB CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X CPU-cooler: Cylon 4F RAM-: Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB SL16GB (3200MHz) and corsair vengeance pro rgb 16 gb ram 3200mhz, so 2 different ram groups SSD: WD Blue SN550 1TB Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus B450M GPU: Gigabite 4070 OC 12 GB Psu: Aerocool Aero 80+ Bronze 650W The problem I am facing is that I am not getting the fps I should get. Since this week I replaced 3060 ti for the 4070 and still my fps sucks for the performance it should give. I mostly play Fortnite competitive and I never had this problem before. With low settings and overclocking with ryzen master, afterburner, quick cpu I am getting around 200-300 fps... Meanwhile the same builds get around 300-400 and I get 200-240 in fights... Please help me... I do not know what is wrong.... xmp is already enabled for the ram sticks... pls help

Ok specs -5900x -rog crosshair 7 -strix 4090 OC rtx duh -xfx 6700 xt -quadro 4000 rtx -64g across 4 dimms, Corsair somethubg, 3600 -1500w seasonic (maybe Corsair) psu ok so before Christmas I’m using Nicehash to make passive income. Why not? I’m at 4$ plus minus constantly after Xmas suddenly it’s down to like 2$ played doctor and redid the loop, reseated the cards/ram. Hey even got my rgb and stuff working since the bottom of the motherboard is so tight of a fit for the quadro. Why they’d make it so difficult with a slim single slot card? Anybody’s guess. Another half inch or less woulda helped substantially reset the bios, confirmed all is stock (aside from the RAID arrays) went into Ryzen master, ensured all was “default” amd whatever, same no msi afterburner or anything basically removed all the iverckock settings and made sure resizeable BAR was enabked oh, newest bios (it was prior to Xmas also) and yea, clean windows. Squeaky clean. No messenger, no Facebook, no anything trash. Between taskman and msconfig (right?) it boots with bare minimums - no trash Game game on there presently is ghost runner 2 - has been since before also moving on, now I run Nicehash and the pc eventually “boop” off. Almost like something’s overclocked. Temps are in range, 60c under load as I have an excessive amount of radiators onky application running I DO have a 4090 (that funny plug) to pci/psu. Weirdly I have 3 of them and they all have 2 inputs rather than 3 for the power supply as the stock has three. Although it’s never been an issue given I’ve had the card for a year both powers for the ‘90 are on seperate rails. Given it’s 1500w, shouldn’t matter but why not? I’ve also disabled the 4090 and cpu from doing mining, just not the 6700/4000. Only cause the 4000 isn’t power hungry AND since it thermals I got it set so “nice” hash don’t hit 75c as 85 or 90 peaks it out and gives me rejection errors or whatever. Fans at 100 at all times so why is my hash rate (maybe) or payout so low after Xmas? I didn’t do anything aside from turn it on and hit go Then of course why does it “blow up” when benching the 6700 and quadro? Mind you this is maybe 15 mins of benching consistently, as in I didn’t hit pause and I wasn’t using the pc (Firefox, msft word, whatever). pump works fine. Although I forget, when I used the cpu for hashing (once) some reason the TDP was jumping around. 45, 60, 45, 80 (I set the max to 80 in bios) then it hit 104, then back to 60. Boop, blew up. Cpu temp too high, thanks asus for pointing out the obvious I haven’t had that issue happen again on the cpu or gpus. so…. What’s with the darn thing exploding? I’m quite confused and lost here Also tried installing (clean install, completely) the updated drivers for every card. The game ready ones possible it would work and better hash rates with studio? Dono I don’t think I attempted that. Be interesting to see though thanks for the help peeps! I haven’t even smashed the 4090 with kali yet. John the ripper, curl, aircrack, whatever the one is for hashing/decrypting RSA-1024 among others, hydra, yada yada

As mentioned in the title, I am trying (and failing) to overclock my 3200MHz Cl14 rated RAM to 3600MHz. It's possible that my RAM isn't even capable of achieving that frequency due to losing the silicon lottery, but in order to definitively determine that, I would like to make sure I am performing the overclocking process properly. Using the BIOS of my Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite motherboard, I: 1. Enabled the XMP profile, which allows the ram to run at its rated speed of 3200MHz CL14. This, if I understand correctly, should take care of setting the frequency, timings and voltage without me having to set them manually. 2. Using the "System Memory Multiplier" option, I set the ram to a frequency of 36.00. If I'm not mistaken, this should overwrite the frequency set by the XMP profile, but maintain the timings and voltage. 3. At first I left the "DRAM Voltage (CH A/B) option on its default setting, "auto", but when my PC crashed, I upped the voltage to 1.4v, which crashed again, then 1.45v, which resulted in another crash. Finally, I then tested 1.5v, which still resulted in a crash. 4. I then returned DRAM Voltage to its default setting and tested lower frequencies such as 33.33 and 34.00, but those frequencies resulted in eventual crashes as well. I find it hard to believe that the absolute limit of my RAM's overclocking potential is the XMP profile, which to my knowledge is supposed to be a maximum "safe" overclock. Is there something wrong with my methodology that is preventing me from reaching higher frequencies? Edit: As an addendum, I have no idea what the "XMP High Frequency Support" option does and couldn't find any mention of it in the motherboard's manual. If anyone could elucidate that, I would greatly appreciate it.

I was looking into possibly updating my Bios in preparation for a new CPU I purchased for my system (i9 9900K), when I discovered that I was having very severe input stutters with both mouse and keyboard. Keyboard is wired and mouse is wireless but both are stuttering. I reset the bios settings to default to make sure it wasn't anything wrong with the base overclock, and while the stutters were better they were still present in the Bios. I've attached a preview of the settings that were changed with the reset and a 30 second video that shows the issue I am still running into. I am at a loss for what the issue could be and especially concerned if its a hardware issue considering I have a new processor on the way. Any help would be appreciated. I do not have this issue when booted into Windows. IMG_5436.MP4

Hello, I have a Rzyen 7 2700x paired with 3200MHz ram which I'm trying to overclock and I'm trying to find the best cas latency for the pair. At the moment I have cl16 3200MHz but would any instabilities occour if I push it top cl14? And would it be healthy for the ram? I'm not very good with this overclocking stuff so i got a ram calculator to do it for me which is down below. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi, I got an evga rtx 2070 Super FTW3 ultra or whatever(3 fans), super heavy but good gpu from what i benchmarked it on. Results are: 4750 with 5600g (extreme+1080p, max settings) on Unigine Valley(didnt bother getting the 2017 unigine thing lol thats 1.4gb). Then ran OCCT to further test the gpu to make sure alls working, never pushing the gpu to higher than 66 degrees celcius (all that 2 kilos of cooling woohoo). Anyways, the gpu is rated at 215W but draws continuously 250w.. is that normal? ik gpu's can slightly eat a bit more wattage. but not an extra 40w. Highest tdp the gpu went up to was 256W. The card was bought used but basically in perfect condition with all the covers, off some business. Should I be worried or is this a special perk of the evga 3 fan super beefed up rtx 2070 super? I ran the test for about 8 minutes, never reaching over 69(nice) degree temp to see how well the gpu handles. I also used cinebench 2024 with whatever the first option was, and for the gpu, on task manager, it never got over 1% usage, however the vram got absolutely eaten.

gt630 help me with my gpu keeps undervolting for no reason
fadefatoh posted a topic in Graphics Cards
am wondering if anyone can help me with my GT 630 1gb gpu its staying undervolted and it sometimes goes back to being overclocked then back to undervolted(only happens when i restart the pc) so am wondering why its like that? -
I have 2 rams produced on 2021 Feb and another one I purchased today produced on 2023 Aug. I purchased new one because my PC was getting slowed by low ram on my pc. Ram details DDR4-3200 8GB F4-3200C16S-8GVKB CL16-18-18-38 1.35v Intel XMP 2.0 Ready I have ram with these exact same details mentioned above. All of 3. Now the problem is that the base frequency of these rams is not 3200 but my motherboard is capable of overclocking it using XMP. So previously when I had only 2 of them, I was running them at 3200. Now if I'm trying to so the same with using this on 3rd slot, it's lowering all the way to 1833. What could be the issue here? Should I mark the product as defect and replace it? I have also tried to replace 1 of the older rams from 2 with the new one still it isn't picking up to the 3200MHZ while same is working with the older 2 rams with the same settings. I've got a ryzen 5 1600x , 16gb ram ddr4 2400mhz , radeon rx 6650xt , and a 600w power supply, I tried to overclock my cpu , to around 3.9ghz from 3.6 , upped the voltage to 1.375 , and the ram voltage a bit , i did not change anything else . I saved settings and got into windows , the pc stopped when i opened opera, now it won't turn on , i tried to turn it on with 1 ram stick instead of two , got my gpu out , and even tried to reset my bios , got the motherboard battery out and touched the cmos pins with a screwdriver , when i press the power button , the case fans try to spin but stop instantly .

Hello everyone I want to overclock my system, but I'm completely new to this. I would be very grateful if you could help me My system: CPU - i7 4960x Motherboard - Asus Rampage IV Extreme RAM - DDR3 HyperX Beast 2400MHz 4x8Gb (HX324C11T3K4/32) GPU - MSI RTX 2060 Super Armor OC Cooler - DeepCool AK620 I looked at a couple of forum topics with my hardware on the Internet (there are not many of them) and applied the following parameters: BCLK - 100 CPU - 44 Vcore - 1.24 VCCSA - 1.15 CPU PLL Voltage - 1.80 CPU Spread Spectrum - Disabled PCI Spread Spectrum - Disabled CPU C States- Disabled Enhanced Intel SpeedStem Technology - Disabled Intel Adaptive Thermal Monitor - Disabled Execute Disable Bit - Disabled Intel Virtualization Technology - Disabled DRAM Frequency - 2400MHz DRAM Timings - 11-13-13-32-2 DRAM Voltage - 1.65 GPU Power Limit - 105% GPU Core Clock - +100Mhz GPU Memory Clock - +750Mhz The system works stable and i felt an improve from the stock settings, but in some games there are freezes when changing scenes or lines of dialogue. For example Batman from TellTale Games, The Invincible. Fortnite lagging even on minimal settings (idk why). I want to overclock my system even more, especially RAM, because a cant figure out how to run it stable with increased frequency or decreased timings

I have an I7 12700k and an Asrock Z690 motherboard, but Intel XTU says that my platform "does not support overclocking" and won't allow me undervolt/overclock my cpu? Any advice?

I can't overclock my cpu(ryzen 5 1600). I tried 3.6ghz, 3.75ghz, 3.9ghz and 4ghz all with 1.4V override setting and none of them worked. And when I check HardwareInfo it works max 3.4ghz sometimes 3.2 and below. When I benchmark in cpu-z I get 2600 multicore 315 single core score.(Ryzen 5 1600's reference 3100 multicore). What should I do this time? Is there anything that I can do or do I must upgrade my cpu? Note:I was using 1050ti and upgraded to 1070 but this time i have cpu bottleneck(while playing cs and other games cpu and gpu usages are %30-%40 percent maybe below). This is why I try to overclock. I have: Ryzen 5 1600 + Msi gaming x gtx1070 + 8x2 3200Mhz Corsair Ram + 500W Psu

I recently upgraded to am5 so my specs are: 7800x3d, rx 6800, 32 GB ddr5 6000, b650 tomahawk wifi. I have had long boot times (62s) since the upgrade from a 5600x. I recently enabled the automatic and GPU overclock which requires a restart. After shutting off, the PC did not boot. All lights and peripherals are on. I have a light signalling CPU and ram error on MB. I reseated the ram and it did nothing. Unsure where to go as I cannot boot into windows so recovery mode or any sort of software stuff is not possible as it will not post at all.

Hi I wanted to know should I undervolt or overclock my Ryzen 5 5600 on biostar B450Mhp Mobo. Because a problem I was having earlier was that my cpu was not boosting clocks I took it to a repair shop and he told me that this was because of the 4 pin power delivery to the cpu and that it was not enough for the 5600. He then took it to his friend who he said was fond of these biostar mobo to be checked and said it may work or either you would have to change your mobo, i had also updated to the latest bios of the motherboard. Eventually his friend fixed it and told me if I had to upgrade my CPU I would have to also change my Mobo. So I wanted to know if I overclock or undervolt the 5600 will it damage my motherboard or not? And is it safe for overclocking on this mobo or should I change it? The mobo's site: https://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=1062

hi i have a msi seahawk 3080 and the power limit is locked at 100% i have it OC at +150 on the core and +340 on the ram. The core has lows at 1960 sometimes but mostly sits over 2000mhz It only draws 330 watts... Was thinking i can flash a vbios from a higher power limit 2X8 pin card to get more out of it. Worth it? And is it risky? the gpu sits at 50°c on full load so temps arent a problem Thanks

So I was looking into my system and learned that my 1080 is bottlenecked by my 8400, i wanna save money and I was wondering if it'd be worth switching to an 8600k and overclocking it to about 4.9-5ghz so I can just pop in another cpu or if I should just save up and go for a new mobo and a 11600k System Specs I5 8400 Gigabyte Aorus z370 Gaming 7 Corsair 120mm aio Corsair Vengeance 4x8gb 3200mhz EVGA 1080 SC Black 1tb 980 pro (ik it's overkill for my gen mobo but it was on sale lol) Thermaltake 750w psu
