Yesterday my computer was working fine, turned off went to sleep. Came back home after work. And my two displays were not working. Put in the HDMI exit from my motherboard. Worked just fine. Computer gives 1 long beep the 3 short beep and after a few seconds another short beep In the device manager it's not showing up but there a PCI device and a SM bus controller. It might be it GPU lights up but fans don't spin. Tried re-seeding it also tried re-pluging the PCI E power cables to the card Any ideas? Or is dead? If is dead... how? It just gave up? Budget (including currency): 900-1200 USD Country: Tunisia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mostly going to be used for AI-related stuff and games at 1440p Other details: I found some deals for 3090 from: MSI (1260 USD) PALIT (965 USD) PALIT OC (900 USD) I want to know if the lower models from the 40 series (mainly 4070 and 4070 TI since the 4080 is way above my budget with the power supply upgrade that is needed) are worth it for gaming/AI versus the lack of V-RAM Note that the card availabilities and choice are limited in my case, In addition, my power supply has to be changed since it's only 650W gold (open for power supply upgrade suggestions as well). Thank you

Hallo Sers i experience this specific problem When my computer is idle and turns off the monitors, all of them go blank and then the backlight turns off as expected. However, a few minutes later, one of them, the ASUS PG329Q awakens, and flashes the indication displayport, but the backlight turns on and stays on forever. All of my monitors (three of them) are connected to my GPU via DP cables. None of the other monitors presents this problem. Seems to be a very common problem for various monitor models, when the monitor is connected via DP. Various resolution steps that I went through but did not work: · Multiple DP cables · DDU uninstalled NVIDIA drivers · Multiple NVIDIA drivers · All monitors OC settings · All ASUS display widget settings · Update GPU BIOS · Unplugging USB3 cable · Factory reset of monitor · Reflash the latest firmware For your information, I quote below reports on various similar issues for different models and brands with common ground DP connection: Asus https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/hgydke/asus_pa278qv_wont_go_into_sleep_mode/ https://linustechtips.com/topic/1334859-motitor-wont-go-to-sleep-connected-to-displayport/ https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/monitor-wont-stay-asleep-power-light-turns-back-on-but-screen-goes-black.3690392/ https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/discover/252346/monitor-wont-sleep-windows-10-creators-update/ Other https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FI5QyNR9X_4&t=63s https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/primary-monitor-wont-sleep-go-black-during-power/cbc3fead-ac47-4929-959a-e99ddefae61b https://www.reddit.com/r/MSI_Gaming/comments/i7ar61/monitor_backlight_stays_on_when_connected_via/ https://www.reddit.com/r/ZOTAC/comments/ke2es6/3060ti_displayport_monitor_backlight/ https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/632743/vg280k-backlight-turns-on-and-off-forever-via-displayport-when-monitor-sleeps https://dough.community/t/backlight-stays-on-when-i-put-computer-to-sleep/30906 I tried and i failed to update the GOP firmware at my inno3d 3090 via this tool AMD and Nvidia GOP update (No requests, DIY) - BIOS/UEFI Modding / BIOS Modding Guides and Problems - Win-Raid Forum (level1techs.com) and this GOP Update and Extraction Tool (NVIDIA Only) - BIOS/UEFI Modding / BIOS Modding Guides and Problems - Win-Raid Forum (level1techs.com) with the same result Invalid firmware detected PS: Interesting finding when I am logon in windows, and I swap. display port cables between monitors the "problematic" monitor seeps correctly and the other one has the problem now after I restart my pc the problem reset to the ASUS monitor if anyone can modify my bios with new GOP i will be thankfully VGA Bios Collection: Inno3D RTX 3090 24 GB | TechPowerUp Any other suggestions will be appreciated ASUS PG329Q monitor win11 22H2 build 22621.2215 mainboard ProArt X670E-CREATOR BIOS :1602 PG329Q firmware v036 inno3d rtx3090 bios 94.02.59.00.DD GOP 0x6000a nvidia 537.13

I was recently having some power issues with my pc. It wouldn't turn on so I brought it into a pc repair shop to get an estimate. Long story short they recommended that I replace my PSU (Previously had an EVGA 850w 80 plus gold, Now upgraded to EVGA 1000w 80plus gold). They were gonna charge me $250 to replace it, so I decided to just do it myself after watching a few YouTube tutorials. After unplugging everything and replacing a few power cables, I noticed a couple of things. Firstly, they broke my SATA data cable and tried to tape it together with scotch tape. Secondly, I noticed that a few cables from my GPU power adapter were disconnected. (Video Linked Below) Here's my question, is it normal for this 12pin to 8pin adapter to be disconnected like this? For reference I have a NVDIA 3070 FE. 20230626_235814.mp4

A video from the past: Now some Chinese hackers hacked the Nvidia Cmp 40HX, and the performance is similar to the 2060s. To game on this card, we not only need to install special drivers, but also need to add more capacitors on the card. Details in https://www.bilibili.com/read/cv19446793 Very interesting.

I want thunderbolt but I also want better battery life and perf. I am honestly confused. I'm looking for a thin and light that can do mild gaming. I already have a pc for gaming. Also. If I do buy a Dell do I have to subscribe to ms office yearly??? I didn't face anything like this on my father's lenovo ThinkPad.

Specs: Nvidia RTX 3070 AMD Ryzen 5 5600x B550 Aorus Elite (11n bios update) 16gb RAM G.skill V 3600mhz 650 EVGA Gold Windows 10 64bit Problem: My display port when booting up is not working, however my HDMI connection works fine My Monitors are an LG 21' Monitor, and I have two of them. The Monitors have a HDMI plug, so for one of them I have a full on HDMI cord and the other a HDMI/Display port cord. The one using Displayport is not working My previous build it worked almost fine, I've actually run into this situation before, but I forgot the fix. Here is the real kicker, when I boot up and go into BIOS, it used the DisplayPort side, rather than the HDMI side. What I have done: Unplug Power of Monitors, Unplug the cords, Turn off PC and turn PSU to off. Then Replugged Monitor (Just the Display port and its power) Then Turned PSU back to on and booted up PC. This resulted in only seeing BIOS, after that it went to Windows 10 and cut me off from seeing What I did next was change the cords around and test new cords, No dice. Checked my BIOS to see if there was any settings as shown in a few videos, Could not find such setting as the options were limited. I will be uploading a video here to show what happens when I boot up and how it technically can detect it. Any help and input will be helpful. Monitor-messed-up2.mp4

Hello everyone so in my most recent build I decided to include a rx 580 Because I got a good deal on it, so installing and everything went swell, until I booted it up and I kept getting no signal and no post. So, What I did was go through a bunch of random guides and everything because my pc and everything was all lighting up and no ez-debug lights were on and GPU fan was spinning. SPECS Ryzen 5 3600 CPU Msi Radeon rx 580 armor B450 Tomahawk max motherboard 16 Gb DDR4 RGB ram Evga BR 500 watt Bronze Power supply An NZXT H510 Case And a 940 gb SSD and Yes I did connect the PC However, today I randomly decided to put my old gt 1030 into the pc, and voila, it booted perfectly into bios and everything and I installed windows without any issues. So, I was wondering if that is possible? No ez-debug leds, fans spinning, but still a DOA gpu? and Im ordering another rx 580 so any way I can prevent this for next time or is that just how it is? Thanks

From doing research we know now that NVIDIA gpu produce better performance for streaming now. For a start I was wondering how GTX 1070 or 10xx series (pascal) compared to 16xx series (turing) like 1650super/1660.From looking at benchmark it is clear that 1070 can gives much better FPS in games compared to 1650 for example because of course they are 2 items of a very different price, 1070 is way more expensive. But look at this video, he tested and said that his GTX1080 perform worst in streaming compared to 1650super. It absolutely producing worse. He siad he can only stream up to 900p60 with GTX1080 compared to 1080p60 using 1650super. Looks like the game dropped a lot of FPS if he do streaming with his GTX1080. Please continue reading my post, I include the video link down below. From this I heard that 1080 produce worst when streaming compared to 1650 because 16xx series and in this case 1650 has a dedicated chip to encode streaming and 1080 don't eventhough both have NVENC. This chip allow 16xx series to save their VRAM for the game instead of having some of them taken for encoding the stream which happen on the 1080 because it doesn't have the dedicated stream encoding chip. So I am asking for anyone who have streaming experience with both cards 1070/1080 vs 1650super /1660 or 10xx series vs 16xx series. Is it true that even 1650 super will perform better in streaming compared to 1070/1080? The video: https://youtu.be/FeCm10Xdkno?t=33

A couple of days ago I short circuted my laptop display while changing the thermal paste. Now, the laptop boots fine with a secondary monitor connected to the HDMI port of the laptop but the dedicated gpu doesnt show up in the device manager. Is this occurring because I disconnected the laptop display? I cant change the display because of the lockdown and I cant also play anything because the games use the intel gpu I've tried resetting

Budget (including currency): $2900 after tax Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Siege, Apex and programming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Rate my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Trcmhg Had a budget of about $3000 so decided with these parts. I was gonna go for 2080ti but found the 2080 super to be better price wise. Might end up upgrading to new cards later this year anyways. I do a lot of editing, programming, youtube/browsing, and gaming so 32gb surprisingly wasn't cutting it for me (average about 24gb a day in usage). So decided with 64gb 3600 CL17. Most power supplies were sold out so could only go with this one. 4.0 M.2 and case my dad gave me, hence the $0 price tag.

So I'm building a computer SOON ( in like 3 days maybe) and I have no clue which one is better. I want to play triple A titles like GTA 5 and stuff but I'm not sure which card will run better. I also play some light titles as well but I'm interested in more demanding titles as well. This will probably be my long term computer and I won't be upgrading for a while. If you want the specific model I'm debating between its the GIGABYTE Windforce GTX 1060 3gb model (NOT G1 GAMING) and the MSI RX 480 4gb GAMING X.If you could reply with a decision and an explanation that would be helpful. Thanks! . CPU : i5 7500) MOBO: MSI B250M VD) RAM: 8gb Kingston HyperX Fury) GPU: Undecided hence this post) PSU: 500w EVGA 80+ White) Case: Carbine SPEC-02). I'm a fellow Canadian like my dood Linus.

Hi, I have a (probably dumb) question. I am wanting to build a new PC for rendering, and was wondering how many GPUs (1070/1060's) you can put in a single motherboard( ASUS ROG STRIX Z270F for example) Can I use all 3 PCIe slots if I don't care about SLI or gaming? and would you lose M.2 support or GPU performance if I did that (if it would even work)? Thanks : )

Hey Guys, I'm in need of new graphics card. GTX1060 and RX480 come in my budget. Usage for card is Video Editing, Motion Graphics. Software I use Premiere Pro CC, After Effects CC, Photoshop CC, Da Vinci Resolve, C4D. Sometimes I play games System Configuration: Intel 6700k Gigabyte Z170-D3H Kingston 16GB RAM GPU AMD 6770 SSD 480GB HDD 2TB NZXT S340 Cooler Master 212x EVO Corsair 550 Watt PSU DELL 1440P Monitor So, My question is which card should I get GTX 1060 with 3GB vRAM or 6GB OR RX480 with 8GB/4GB ? Thanks in advance!!

I am looking for a $200 graphics card, so I am considering the GTX 1060 3GB or the RX 480 4GB. I play games at 1080p. I am leaning toward the 1060, since the AMD drivers are not as good. Which one should I get?

I'm reaching out to the community for help, I am still a noobie with my first custom PC build. For the past couple month I have been having issues with playing League of Legends and Players Unknown Battleground, it will either Bug Splat/Crash or BSOD my entire system and I have gotten these error codes [KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT HANDLED, SYSTEM_SERVICE EXCEPTION, SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED]. I have Goggled a lot of these error codes and they tie back to NVIDIA Drivers. I have tried a lot of the trouble shooting suggestions except downloading and using DDU to wipe my Card's drivers and install fresh drivers. I have done "clean installs" of new drivers on my GPU, especially when new drivers come out and that hasn't helped. I also suck at finding good websites to download these programs off of and don't want to download from the wrong websites. So, if the solution is to download DDU, can someone link me a good and trusted place to download DDU. I'm hoping to be able to play games again without any more issues. Thanks in advance for the help, here are my Specs: Intel Core i7-6700K Overclocked to 4.6GHz Corsair H100i v.2 Liquid Cooler Asus Z170-A Motherboard Corsair Vengence LPX 16GB DDR4-3000 X2 Samsung 850 Pro SSD Asus- GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card Corsair- RMx 850W PSU Windows 10 Home OEM 64- Bit OS
