Hello everyone, i’m here because i am literally exhausted both in ideas and just about everything else. let me give some context: I’m going to stick to the super cliff notes version; about 3-4 months ago a bunch of weird stuff started happening to me. About four weeks ago i identified a MITM and DNS attack. I tried evading it by completely wiping everything and dumping all old accounts, usernames, phone number, everything. Got a new modem and router. That was a Friday. That coming Monday this thing came out visibly pissed at me. At one point seemingly dropping a martyrdom grenade when i installed and ran hitman pro which resulted in two 1tb NVMe drives getting wiped, and a third, the ine with my OS, getting write protected. since then it’s been a constant struggle, and a daily escalation on their part. It’s like playing one of the weirdest games of king of the hill or capture the flag ever. Particularly over my router and network. But it’s to the point where they can completely hijack a machine from clean install within 24 hours. Possibly faster if i didn’t have a day job. so my question is this: how do i wipe everything down to bare metal? the thing is most definitely a root kit and that combined with their hijacking of my network they’re able to drop an entire stable of nasty shit. The worst being a windows mirror trojan or whatever they’re called that’ll essentially run around as me both in the os and online and slowly box me out of the os by means of write protecting certain key files. Again, i need to wipe these things down to just pcb and metal. Any ideas? i’m particularly speaking about motherboards and then after that, cell phones and laptops. i have an eeprom programmer and have thought about just deleting everything off the spi, but every ch43a file i go to download is also riddled with malware. any tips are appreciated. thank you edit: guess i should inventory which motherboards huh z690 unify w/12900ks z690 edge wifi ddr4 w/12900k Asus Prime 560m-a w/i9 10900 EVGA x299 dark ftw-k w/10900x msi z690 pro ddr4 w/an i5 that’s on the way.

Hey guys, I'm at a turning point in my life when it comes to computers. I have always just bought a great computer and used it until the damn thing is just too slow to keep up with my needs. I do a lot of work in Cinema 4d, After Effect and the rest of the Adobe package. I also work in Nuke a bit. I know I can get a great computer for a lot of money buying an HP, but I feel like I can get more options and fine tune a system if I just build it from the ground up. I just have so many questions and could really use so help. Here is my plan of attack Dual Xeon 2.2 ghz E5-2630 on an Asus - Z10PE-D8 WS SSI EEB Dual-CPU LGA2011-3 Motherboard, Both CPUs would be air cooled. I would also be running a PNY Quadro P4000. I would have Crucial (2)16GB (2x8gb) Reg. DDR4-2133 memory. I would put all of this crazy into a Phanteck Enthoo Primo ATX full tower. So here are my questions... 1. Does this build make sense? 2. Does have a Single Faster CPU help more than a slower but more core CPU's? 3. I really don't care about lights or anything, I just want a fast computer to help speed up my rendering. Will this build help with that process? 4. do Xeons need to be water cooled? 5. Would an Intel m.2 cache drive speed up the OS or should I just run the M.2 card as a Cache drive for after Effect and the rest of the Adobe suite? I would like to follow up with this... I have been watching almost every video the Linus Tech tips has on you tube. It has been a big inspiration and a get deal of help for helping me understand what I'm taking on. It would be great to see an episode where they do a head to head comparison between a dual Xeon and a single Intel with a faster core..... Hint Hint Guys.

Just professional tasks, if I game in this build will be just The binding of Isaac, CUPHEAD, I don't need to worry about it. Looking my choices, I arrived at a U$2000 ~ 2500 budget(without cintiq) My saved pcpartpicker: i7 8700 3.2ghz(4.6ghz boost) asetek 545LC (92mm aio cooler) asrock fatal1ty z370 gaming-itx/ac ripjaws V series 32gb(2x16gb) ddr4 3200 16C(just because it's cheaper than vengeance 2666 15c) samsung - 960 evo 250gb ssd 2x hitachi - travelstar 1tb 2.5" 7200rpm gpu radeon pro wx 7100 (8gb) corsair SF600 80+ gold monitor benq PD2700Q case evolve shift or ncase m1 v5(but what I really want is dancases a4-sfx v2) cintiq 13"(thats why I'm not planning to buy 2 monitors) I would love to get an wireless mice and keyboard(compact as 60 or TKL with non-rgb backlit) My issues(for any of those questions, I already search about, so if it's here, it's cause I don't find a solution):1) Ryzen 7(probably the 1800x) for more threads) or 8700 non-k for stronger clocks? I saw the Fallout build luke did and i was so inspired that i went off the next day and bought the Fallout anthology thing, came home,started to build and mod. Hey guys I'm looking to buy a PC for 3D rendering and a good monitor for compositing/video editing/color corrections in Serbia within 1500e this is the shop I inted to use but I'm open for other options as well http://www.emmi.rs/naslovna_stranica.1.html . My current debate is on whether I should go with the i7 4970K DDR3 build which is cheaper or i7 5820K build which is better but my not leave enough room for a monitor. I will be using Maya, Nuke, Mari, Photoshop, 3ds Max, After Effects.

Hey guys, looking for some advice on building a Rendering Workstation. I have recently joined a small VFX team working out of Wellington New Zealand. I have been living and working with these guys for almost 2 years and have been building PCs for a while successfully. However I am stumped by a little problem at the moment, whether to go with a i7 5960X or Dual Xeon 2630V3? We are using programs such as Nuke, Adobe AfterEffects (with Element 3D), Cinema 4D as well as possibly some Maya 2015. Price is not really an object as the production budget will be covering this cost, however we would like to keep it below NZ$10000 to stay in good terms with the Director. Hi all. Help me please to chose from this 2 displays. Eizo CS240 or Asus PA279Q I have limited budget.So thats why i chose those 2.Yes Eizo are 24 inch but it cost approximately like ASUS PA279Q. I'm working with 3d graphics in such program as 3ds max +vray sometimes corona. Post pro in Photoshop and Nuke.

Hey forum, anybody know where to find a biocide that isn't a silver coil in germany? PT nuke doesn't seem to be available here and I need to put something in my loop within the next week or so. Right now I have a concentrate in there. On the website I bought it from, the description says that it will protect against corrosion and alge/bacteria/whatever. On the actual bottle, I can't find anything that points towards it being any more than just an anti-corrosive. Since I don't want to gunk up my loop and I don't want a silver coil (my pump is very strong and my res is very small, the water is moving pretty fast in there and I'm sure the coil would be thrown against the acrylic constantly, creating noise), I'm looking for either PT Nuke or something similar. Only requierements are that it works and that it be of no color, especially not red or anything. Any ideas/experiences?
