Hey guys! I'm having issues with my secondary GPU. These are my specs: MOBO: ASRock A320M-HD (updated to 6.20) CPU: AMD Ryzen 1600 AF RAM: HyperX 16gb 2666mhz (single) GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Storage: 1 500gb HD, 1 120gb SSD, 1 240gb SSD. I'm trying to do a little bit of mining with the small rig I have. I got a GTX 1660 Super to use the maximum capability of mining my MOBO can offer. The issue is that no matter what I try, I can't get my Windows to recognize the 1660. The 3060 is the primary on a PCIe x16 gen3 and the 1660 is on the riser (x16 to x1 through usb 3.0) conected to a PCIe x1 gen2. It doens't show up on device manager even after showing hidden devices. I updated my bios and messed around in the configurations of bandwitch and speeds and nothing seems to change. PS.: The 1660 worked fine as the primary on the x16 and the riser was working previously. PS².: I'm aware that my system is not optimal for gaming, as it lacks a more powerful processor to avoid bottleneck and a second RAM stick for better performance. At this moment this build is perfect for me and will be upgraded in the near future. Thanks a lot in advance!

Back in early Autumn last year I updated my aging pre-built HP with an Asrock B450M Pro4 motherboard, Ryzen 5 2600, 16 GB DDR4 and kingston M.2 NVME SSd (Which won't boot to windows/windows won't install properly, but that's a separate issue). After updating the hardware, none of the USB3 ports(case or motherboard) work with storage devices. They don't show up in BIOS/UEFI and of course they don't show up in OS. When I plug in my toshiba 1T external harddrive the blue LED for USB3 lights up and the drive spins up. But it's not registered by the pc and eventually stops. All other types work like mouse, keyboard, external soundcard and so on. I've tried updating BIOS, enabling everything that says USB in UEFI, updating the drivers in OS and I'm about to try to install windows fhreshly on to a SATA SSD when it arrives('cause the M.2 isn't working). But I've installed windows fhreshly a couple of times on the current HDD and it hasn't fixed the issue, could the problem be a faulty motherboard?

Hi. So a while ago I changed my CPU cooler and installed a 212LED from Cooler Master. About a week after or so my PC froze and turned itself off. When I turned it back on, it powered up without a beep and the screen was powered off. Then my USB devices (Mouse and Keyboard) were also powered off. Meaning the lights on them didn't work. So I unplugged and plugged it back on and it worked. For a few days. Then it happened again but this time it made me open up the PC and reconnect some of the stuff like the memories and the graphics card and the power cables, etc... then it worked again and it hasn't shut down since(about 2 weeks). Now about two weeks later I keep getting this annoying "USB device not recognized" with the windows "ding" sound over and over and over again to the point that it's impossible to work with it. I unplugged all the USBs and everything to the point where I only have a power cable and an HDMI cable connected but it still gives me the same issue. I have a second windows that's not on my SSD and I tried to boot that one up to see what happens. And no change. It still gave me the same issue. I'm highly irritate and can't get my works done. I have no idea what to do since no USB is connected to the PC. I'm suspecting that my Motherboard( which has only been working for +2 months) has some sort of issue that cannot be fixed by me. My device manager says that the failed USB location is "Port_#0003.Hub_#0001". But it doesn't give me anything more than that. Could you guys please help me figure out the issue? Is there a way to disable the notification and carry on? Should I even do that? Does this mean I should be looking for a new MOBO? Windows 10 x64 i7-6700k 4.0 Asus_Z 170M_plus Corsair Vengence LPX 2x8GB DDR4 3000MHz Cooler Master GX650w Crucial 525GB MX300 M.2 Type 2280SS SSD 1TB Seagate sata Thanks. P.S: I've already updated my BIOS but no improvements was achived. Update 1: I tried connecting the old cpu fan just to emulate the previous situation and see if the new one was the source of the issue. And while I was at it I removed one stick of memory and plugged the other one into a different slot. The machine worked fine for a solid 20-30minutes but then the issue returned. No improvements. Please help.

i have a xbox one 2016 controller with bluetooth radio build in, it connects with my bluetooth adapter fine and i can check the inputs and see that it actually registers every button i press and stick i twiddle. yet steam big picture mode doesn't want to respond do its inputs, and neither does this game that is supposed to have controller support (spelunky). i think i might've missed something obvious but i'm really not sure, can someone help me troubleshoot this? im running windows 7 latest version. i can guarantee 100% that it is connected and inputs are being recognized by windows 7 itself.

Hey guys, I am currently having problems with two of my USB drives, cause my Pc doesn't recognice them. I opened one and saw taht there was a pin not connected so i conected it. In the device manager it says "error loading devide description" (Not exact message, translated from German). I tried everything i could from searching for drivers and I also tried to get the Hardware ID, but there it says USB\DEVICE_DESCRIPTOR_FAILURE. Also I tried to search for it in the Disk Management, but there it isn't listed either. All the problems listed are on all computers I tested the same and I tested the problem on 2 computers. I attached some files, but they are in German so I don't know if it helps. If u need more information just ask. Thanks in advance,

So I'm REALLY confused tight now. There's so much to ask but i don't know where to begin, so I guess I start from the beginning... I recently bought an upgrade to my PC and ended up with this: Ryzen 5 1600 w/ wraith spire cooling MSI B350 Gaming pro carbon Corsair vengence LPX DDR4 3200MHz CL16 16GB MSI gtx 960 (this wasn't upgraded) Crucial BX100 256GB SSD (This wasn't upgraded) WD Caviar Blue 500GB 7200RPM (This wasn't upgraded) The rest I think is not needed but tell me if you want it. And here is a list of my problems/concerns/confusion and what made me go crazy: 1. I don't know what is Windows 10 WHQL support 2. I installed new BOX windows 10 64/32 bit USB but on the non UEFI mode because of this error: windows can only be installed to gpt disks 3. If I switched the whql support, would I be able to install the UEFI windows 10? 4. Does this have to do with my board not recognizing my DVD drive plugged into SATA3 port and that I can see 4 USB drives in windows though they don't exist? (E:/ F:/ G:/ and H:/) 5. does this have to do with my audio problem? 6. Should I update my bios to v15? I have v14 7. Should I reinstall windows but this time with WHQL support enabled and with UEFI mode? (If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's that the USB windows stick has 2 install modes: w/ and w/o UEFI and I don't know anything else about it) 8. Why can't I turn my ram to 3200MHz though the board can read it's XMP profile, changes it to the profile but still shows ram running 2133MHz (the ram is tested for 3200MHz by the manufacturer on their website (search for CMK16GX4M2B3200C16R) and is even samsung B-Die) 9. And last but not least, Can I kill myself now? Because I hate this sh*t and I'm going crazy. If it sounds confusing to you, it's because it is. AMA if you need more explanation over this situation. and please tell me quickly if I should reinstall, because I don't want to settle down too much and have to format everything again. EDIT: Audio is solved, trying the reinstall tomorrow morning, will update my status EDIT2: DVD is working now, I had a bad SATA cable EDIT3: reinstalled windows, did all the stuff you told me to and most of the problems are fixed. I also updated bios which significantly improved post time and now after leaving bios it turns on and off a few times but eventually boots up. Above you can see the remaining problems.

Hello, I have Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. In my PC I have a GTX 1060 and on Linux boot up the animations that I would usually see for opening windows and stuff did not work anymore. In the software updates and additional drivers it said I was using the nouveau driver as usual, but it did not seem to work. Also the internet cable I have plugged in is not recognized and thus I have no internet access on linux. There does not even show that a cable is plugged in, there is nothing recognized. When I boot up Windows 10 everything works normally. My assumption would be that the drivers did not load. Can you please help me?

Hello! I just built my new PC and I’m super stoked! From my old build I had a 2tb HDD that works great, but as soon as I tried to connect it to my main one it did not get recognized, even through Disk Management. It does not even show up in my bios. I want to be able to use this disk and keep the data on it because it has all my AE project files on it and I need them. Is there anyone who can help out? Also, when trying to mount the disk in Disk Management it shows a 4gb partition but when I try to mount it it says something about a I/O port not working. Thank you for reading!

So I've made a computer for my dad using my old hardware (i5 4670, Gigabyte B85M-D3H, 8 GB of some cheap ram) and added a 350W Silentium PC PSU and 120GB SSD. The problem began when i started installing Windows 10 from a pendrive with Windows Instalaltor from Microsoft page. The PC didn't recognize any USB device, so after a while i connected the SSD to my main computer and installed Windows there. After the installation finished i pluged the SSD to dPC (dad's PC) and it worked fine. After a few days the dPC stopped recognizing USB devices and it had to be restarted around 3-5 times to work. Later it had to be restarted around 10 times to work, but in BIOS it worked perfectly every time. Now nothing helps it and I can't even get into the BIOS. I've tried everything that the internet suggested but nothing worked. Also the USB 3.0 isn't connected to the front panel beacuse one of the pins is broken.

This isn't your typical "flash drive not appearing." So I've got a 32GB SanDisk USB 3.0 flash drive that I used for a while just fine. After letting some programmers (high school robotics) borrow it to install a program on a different computer, I found that it would not show up in any typical USB 3.0 Type-A ports on my laptop. It didn't appear in either device manager or disk manager either. Out of curiosity, I took my Samsung USB Type-A to Type-C adapter that came with my Galaxy S8, and plugged it and my flash drive into my USB C port to see that it appears and works as it did before the problem occurred. I couldn't seem to find any similar cased through Google. So, my question is, does anyone have any idea why my flash drive appears with an adapter in a Type-C port, but not any Type-A ports that I've tried and ideally, how to fix it. Thanks in advance!

So, i had nothing else to do this morning so i decided id start testing hdds, and i found one that when i put it in a sata to usb station only did a clicking sound and windows didnt seemed to love him neither. I know u should not open hard drives but i dont really care about this one its old and of small size and it was already on my eletronic junkyard, so i decided to make this experience, but i still clueless of what the problem is, i did a gif so you guys can see and give your opinion. So it spins for a few seconds then it stops, also i'm gonna add a image of disk manager. And this is what windows detects btw the disk is 160 GB not 2T

I just finished building my first pc and after installing windows 10, everything works fine, Then, I install my gtx 1060 zotac amp edition to the motherboard (MSI B150M Mortar), the 6-pin power connected and I tried connecting the HDMI port on the GPU to the monitor, I get a blank screen. I even connected the HDMI to the motherboard, but it is not working now.

I've now had this mouse for about 8 months, it worked fine till a few weeks ago when it randomly turned off whilst using it wirelessly and after that I thought it just ran out of battery and tried to plug in the mouse wiredly. It doesn't get recognized when wired, but when I do connect it through the brick it gets recognized, but the mouse still doesn't turn on. I've tried the mouse on my laptop as well and on other usb ports, but it still doesn't work at all. My old G300 does work on my pc, but I would like to get my Naga to work again... Anyone had the same issue? I've read many similar issues with the same mouse for other people and they've got answers for their problems which I did try, but none of them worked for me. I've tried re-downloading Razer Synapse which didn't do anything and I tried downloading Firmware updaters for the dock and the mouse, but it only allowed me to do the dock update since when I tried the mouse update the mouse didn't get recognized.

hello everyone! i´m in desperate need for help. where can i begin... i bought a razer naga epic mouse and its been giving me problems since day 1. my pc is running windows 7 ultimate x64 and it won´t recognize the mouse and it will give an error that says "usb device not recognized" and mark it as "unknown device" in devices and printers. i returned the mouse in exchange for another in case it was DOA, but the new one gave me the same problem. since then i did everything i could think of: updated bios, chipset, every driver on my pc and am still getting negative results. downloading the razer driver or synapse doesn´t resolve anything because it does not detect any razer device (since windows doesn´t even know what device it is). i am out of ideas and need help. my motherboard is an -ASUS P8H61-M LE (H61 B3 Revision), processor: intel i3-2100 3.10GHz, 8GB ram, Graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti. thank you for everything in advance, and let´s see if we can solve this together.
