Issue: So, in about September 2020, my PC started bugging out so I replaced the motherboard and then my monitor stopped detecting my pc (but my tv detects it) so I replaced my monitor. The monitor is brand new, it detects my laptop but still not my PC; my PC connects to my tv but doesn't connect to my monitor. I've tried everything I could find on the internet but the issue persists. PC specs: AMD Ryzen 5 2400G (Vega 11 integrated graphics). Asus EX - A320M Gaming Motherboard. Corsair Vengeance 1x16 GB DDR4 RAM. Crucial BX500 120GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5-inch SSD. Western Digital WD10EZEX 1TB Internal HDD. Monitor - BenQ gw2283 (The new one) Thermaltake PS-TRS-0500NPCWEU-2 TR2 S 500W Power Supply. Thanks for taking the time to read this

I have an older Samsung LED monitor. It was built for office use, so it has a terribly low brightness and horrible color accuracy. I want to buy myself a monitor that would be good for both photo editing and gaming, without breaking the bank. I don't do photography professionally, but I do print high quality photos. I want it to be 27+ inches, 1440p, IPS, and hopefully a high refresh rate, but I'm willing to sacrifice refresh rate. I was looking at photography specific monitors like Dell Ultrasharps and Asus ProArts, and then gaming specific monitors like the LG Ultragears, but I honestly don't know if there are better options for me. My budget is $500 USD or under, but I could be convinced to spend more. I would appreciate a cheaper option and a more expensive option, if you know of any.

About a week ago I went to Spain with my mother. We went to our friends there in the city called Oviedo. My friend there has a pretty sick setup and has an Acer Predator Z35. RIght when I started up a game I just fell in love with the monitor. I fell in love with it so much that I can't even play on my own monitor normally anymore (I have an Asus VE247). I decided to save up money to buy the monitor because my eyes were orgasming every 2 seconds while I was gaming on his monitor. But my question is, is there a monitor with allot of the features that the Z35 but for a lower price (Curved monitor and G sync is a must). Because close to 1000 Euros is allot of money. And also, I don't even own a Nvidia GPU yet so G sync will not even work (I'm planning to buy a 1070 after the monitor. And I have an AMD R9 390 now.)

About a week ago I got to play on an Acer Predator Z35 monitor and it was amazing! So amazing in fact that I decided that I should save up money for one. But the price really got me. Nearly a thousand euros for a monitor is allot concidering my PC only costed 1500 Euros to make. These are the things I'm looking for in my new monitor: G Sync (Or freesync because I'm currently using an AMD R9 390. I'm planning to upgrade after I buy a new monitor.), Ultrawide, Curved, 100HZ or above and 2560x1080 or larger. Thanks in advanced!

Guys. I got my new monitor yesterday. It is a Benq VZ 2350HM. I didn't get any cable other than a VGA cable in the box. So I bought a cheap HDMI cable from a local store. Btu the problem is that it says no signal after displaying the logo. I tried connecting my laptop HDMI out(which works) to it using the cable but it doesn't work. How can I know what the problem is?

Hey, I'm looking at upgrading from an HD, 1080p display (ASUS VS247) and 1 1440x900 display (ASUS VS196, it's old, I know) to a WQHD, 2560x1440, 16:9 monitor. I don't know much about monitor shopping, but I was looking at this one. I plan on using my current 1080p monitor as my new secondary monitor, as I like the dual screen setup. I just wanted to up my gaming resolution since upgrading my graphics card. Anyway, I just wanna know if you guys think that's a good decision before biting the bullet. My requirements are: 2560x1440, 16:9 5ms response time or lower Smaller bezels & no "gamery" look preferred. Thanks!

Hey I need some help. My secondary monitor is kinda broken, it's old. So I'm thinking about replaceing my secondary monitor with my primary which is an old samsung 1080p TN monitor. So I'm thinking about buying myself a new primary monitor and I'm wondering should I get a 1440p 60Hz or should I get a 1080p 144Hz? I mostly play games like League of Legends and Minecraft. But I also play alot of Witcher 3 and GTA 5. So should a pick up one of those cheap 1440p 60Hz monitors or should I stick with a 1080p 144Hz? My PC specs: i7 4790k GTX 970 16GB DDR3

I'm looking at getting a new monitor, and since its coming to be cyber Monday, I thought it would be just as good time as any to start looking. I'm looking for a 27'' (doesn't need to be exactly 27", just an idea), 144hz, 1440p monitor that is good for the price. Curved would be an added bonus, but not an ideal. Does anyone have any good monitors that fit my needs for a reasonable price? ($400 ish, my budget isn't set in stone) Thanks! Noah

Hi I'm looking for a new monitor as a Christmas gift and since i don't know much about the monitors out there i decided to ask for help here. the person im buying from doesnt like 1440p since he says its too much space especially when web browsing but does like the size of 27in or around there like 25-28. he also likes color accuracy over gaming performance since he has been using a old HP ips with glossy finish and doesn't like how matte finish don't make the colors stand out as much. i was thinking that the best option would be to buy from ebay since they sell really good looking monitors there that are just repurposed displays with basic connectors in the back for cheap. i don't know much about those displays or ever used them and don't know how to trust it so i'm asking for help any and all answers are greatly appreciated. Also This is $250 US as stated in the title i can give a bit more if needed but don't wanna go way over or avoid going over if i can. Thanks for any and all answers in advance btw it doesn't have to be just ebay either that was just one option.

I know the 2070S is by far the better price/performance, but I'm also going to be buying a new monitor and watercooling my PC in the next few months. So, I've got a few questions: If I'm watercooling mostly for fun/looks but maybe a little overclocking, does it make any sense to buy anything other than the founder's edition cards since any fancy cooling solution will be junked anyway? Second question, if I'm looking at a 120 or 144hz monitor, is the 2070S going to be a bottleneck on a 1440p in AAA titles? I'm no monitor expert, but I've been looking at a couple of monitors that LTT has featured. The LG Linus recently shot a video on as well as this Aorus: https://www.newegg.com/black-gigabyte-aorus-series-aorus-ad27qd-sa-27/p/N82E16824012006 Spending the extra $200 is definitely doable for the 2080S, but if the benefits aren't really going to be significant I'd rather keep my $200. I know there's no clear cut answer here, but I'd be interested in your thoughts and opinions on how you all would think about this decision. Best, Matt

Hey guys! So I've come to the decision that I'll be returning my Samsung c27hg70 since the freesync does flicker and strobe with my nvidia gpu. So yeah g-sync is a must and I've come to these 2 monitors, I just don't know which one. I do a little bit of photoshoping, but not much, it's just a little bit required for my education. I'm also doing 3D modelling and rendering, I also game and I do value good colours for movies and so on! LG 27GL850 Or AORUS FI27Q

Hello, at this point in time I will not give any information about what type of monitor I want; I do have some in mind but I want to see what you guys say. I mostly play games like Hitman, csgo all the way up too some of the popular triple A games. I also play some side games like Planet Coaster for an example when I am bored. I also do a small amount of photo editing but not a lot. My budget is £350 (UK BRITISH POUNDS) Specs: 3700x 2070 super 16 GB ram Once you have given a suggestion I will then follow up, I am just doing it like this so I don't push you towards something else what might not be good if you understand (Just from my experience on the forum). Thank you in advance.

Hey. Its been 11 hours since Ive got it and already got 2 issues with the ad27qd monitor... 1. The Osd sidekick says it can't find the device even though I have installed the cd that came with the monitor. 2. After turning off the monitor (while the pc is still working), I can't turn it on with the joystick. The only way I can turn it on , is by manually turnning off / on the pc. Does anybody knows what should I do? Thank a lot.

I have been using 2 mice for a while now, one for gaming and the other for everything. But when I connected my new monitor this morning, the mice started acting weird after ~30 minutes or so of normal mouse behaviour (click/open/drag/highlight/etc.) Here's what happens: - when i mouse over something, it doesn't have that box indicator showing what i would be clicking - I cannot click on anything (left/middle/right/double) - I cannot move buffer bars on online videos (Rooster Teeth/LTT/YouTube) - I can move the cursor around on both mice - sensitivity buttons still work I have checked drivers, only my new display needed updating. *Correction the easiest way to get normal functionality is opening task manager What the heck would cause this issue? And how do I fix it? Cheers

Hi all. I am getting a new PC and thus want to get a new 2k monitor as well. To get a picture about how my setup you can look at the link below As for the monitor. I have been looking at 2 options so far, but I am abit scared of having faulty products due to backlight bleed etc. So my question is. Do any of you have one of these two monitors ? Do you think its worth it or should I wait for the next gen ? I really would love a 2k IPS for my gaming exprience. (it seems rather wasted with my new setup to have 1080p) Both of the monitors are pretty expenssive where I am from costing around 737 Euro. I currently use a AOC G2460PG and have been happy with it https://eu.aoc.com/en/gaming/products/g2460pg Links to the two other monitors. https://www.asus.com/Monitors/ROG-SWIFT-PG279Q/ https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/predator-model/UM.HX1AA.001 So what is your thoughts ? So far I am leaning towards the Asus or waiting.

Hi, I just bought a new Acer 240hz Nitro xv3 and I followed the manual on how to set it up but it doesn’t display anything. I tried using the display port as well as the hdmi cable but nothing gets displayed. I got it to work like twice out of the blue but when I tried to change the hz from 60 to 240 it did the same thing by being on but not displaying anything. Idk what else to do, can anyone help pls? this is what happens when I use the hdmi cable. When I use my other monitor with it, it’s fine though 61595754246__116D4AF8-85F5-4BC6-B378-1A2F745C6DEA.MOV

One of the upgrades I want to do sometime this year is to upgrade my monitor. I currently have AOC G2460PF 24” Gaming Monitor with FreeSync. Even though it's a good monitor. I kinda want one with better picture quality. Preferably it must have either FreeSync or G-sync on it and be 144hz or higher. What would you guys recommend me? PC specs: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nQdfmq

Hey everyone, I built a PC in January and the monitors I'm using I got from Goodwill. As fun as having 2 random monitors of different sizes are, I figure I should probably upgrade. Any good recommendations for decent monitors for decently cheap? If there was already another good thread for this, feel free to link me to that. (I feel like this could also be a good video idea like the computer case, mechanical keyboard, and mouse videos they have, though maybe not) Use case: basic home use, some gaming (max 1080p, 60fps, 4k not needed) Possible Outputs: HDMI, DVI, Display Port Budget: Under $100 is preferred but I would be willing to go up to $150. Size: I have a slightly smaller desk, so maybe max 24" diagonally. I don't need an ultra wide and I don't need any weird ratio either. Speakers: not required, though audio cable pass through would be nice. I have looked at PC Parts Picker for monitors, but I wanted opinions from tech people. You don't need to go out of your way to look up monitors, I just wanted opinions from people that might have been in a similar situation to me. Thank you.

Hi Guys, I am looking for a new monitor for my setup, I already have 2 23 inch 1080p monitors which are the same. I mainly want to use it for work (text processing) and some light gaming. I have this: Graphics Card so I think it can manage 3 monitors I am not very experienced at buying monitors and have no clue what too look for. So I am asking for your help! I am looking for a bigger monitor (27 inch or more) and I am not fixed on any resolution. My budget is around £200. Thanks, Jam

Hi, So I am currently in the market for a new monitor stand. Currently, I have a Duronic dual monitor stand, I've had this for about a year and it's worked ok. However with my new setup I've created, the monitor stand droops, it did before but it was temporarily dealt with by just leaning the monitor on a stack of books. I'm not too sure if i should go with this time, 2 single monitor stands, so that there is less weight for stand to support. Or if someone could recommend a dual monitor stand that they have had experience with that doesn't cost a load and can be bought soonish. Thank you.
