I recently changed from 4k to 1080p for gaming and everything looks pixilated. I was wondering what i could do to fix this.

Hi everyone, I'm coming on here as I'm desperate for some help or any possible solutions. I recently got a new GPU and realised that I needed a PSU with more power. I plugged everything in and started it up and all was well, until I plugged in the HDMI. I received no signal and have tried another HDMI cable and port on the GPU, taken the GPU out and put the HDMI cable into the motherboard and tried a different monitor, motherboard and PSU but still no signal. I can't think as to what it could be. Possibly I have a dead CPU but then wouldn't that mean that my pc wouldn't turn on at all? Or maybe it's my motherboard? Please if anyone can help or has any advice then let me know. Thanks

I got a Samsung 28” Odyssey G70B today and I wanted to connect it to my legion slim 7 3050ti gaming laptop. Bc the laptop doesn’t has no hdmi port or DisplayPort and only 2 usb ports and 2 usb c ports, I wanted to get a usb c DisplayPort adapter for my laptop. However, I’m not sure which one I should pick. I was thinking of getting a cheap one, but I’m not sure if it’ll work. Can anyone help me out?

I'm getting a No Signal message when trying to turn on my new monitor. It is a LG UltraGear QHD 27-Inch Gaming Monitor 27GL83A-B. I've tried both HDMI ports in the back of the monitor and the Display Port as well. Plugged in both in the back of the PC. The following happens: HDMI in, DP out, "No signal. Please check your connection. HDMI 2 input is connected. Click Ok to automatically switch to HDMI 2 input" -> couple of seconds -> "No signal. Entering the power saving mode shortly. An incorrect DisplayPort version setting will cause the screen to be blank. If this occurs, make sure the DisplayPort version setting of your monitors matches the device its connected to." HDMI out, DP in, ^ above second message immediately HDMI in, DP in, ^ same Switching to HDMI1 via the monitor controls, gives me the following message "No signal. Please check your connection. The signal is connected to another input. Click Ok and select another input in the input menu." I plugged the HDMI into my laptop and it works fine. I don't have a DP port to test. I don't have extra HDMI/DP cables. Monitor manual states nothing except how to plug the cables in, which I checked. Motherboard doesn't state anything either. The cables are plugged into the GPU, not motherboard. CPU, GPU, and base Case fans are all working. Lights are on, no beep codes or two-digit codes. Keyboard is plugged into the motherboard, it doesn't light up though and it isn't turned on. Everything is new. I reset the monitor settings via the menu, nothing changes, same errors. I find where it states the DisplayPort Version. Its currently set to 1.4, with options 1.2 and 1.1 open. I tried all three, didn't fix anything. I made sure to check all connections. The GPU apparently has DisplayPort outputs of 1.4a. Is this an issue when the monitor can only go to 1.4? I'm all out of ideas. Please help. Country: USA So I have an old Razor Blade Stealth 12.5 that i was thinking of turning into a monitor, but then i remembered, this is also a touch screen. Is there a way to make a touch screen monitor from this or should I stick to just a normal monitor?

Hello, I am Adam, and I am a PC Builder beginner. I Have just built a Gaming PC, but the monitor says no signal when I boot up. Specs: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 AsRock B550M-HDV Micro ATX Motherboard 16 GB Ram (2x8 GB sticks) ASUS Phoenix 1050ti EVGA W3 Series 450W 80 plus AMD CPU Cooler that came with the CPU 512 GB SSD (6gb/s) I have seen many videos on what to do, and here are some things I tried -Remove GPU, then reinstall -reconnect all power cords -change video cable -clean the ram sticks -read motherboard manual carefully -plugged in 4 pin CPU power -attached all power connecters -tried booting up with one ram stick I have been stuck on this problem for a long time, and I need help. So I’m looking to buy 2 identical monitors at a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and screen size of preferably 27inches I possibly could go 24inch. I’m not wanting to spend over $350 per monitor but if the quality of the monitor is great I could stretch that. I game and I’m getting into video editing. The first monitor I’m looking at is the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27BQ. It is 27 inches and has a resolution of 2560 by 1440, has a response time of 0.4 ms and runs at 165hz. This monitor costs around $330 The second monitor is the ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQ it is 27 inches and has a resolution of 2560 by 1440, has a response time of 1ms and runs at 170hz. This monitor costs around $450 I would like to get a couple opinions on this and if anyone who knows gaming monitors well thinks there is something better or cheap I should get let me know.

I'm not planning on using it for gaming, I just need to be able to have it support 4 monitors with extended display (3 lined up on the bottom, one onto of the middle screen). Both screens are 1920x1080, max res of 1080p. Would live to hear about any budget graphics cards that could work for my use case. Edit: tried to use the NVS 510 by Nvidia, didn't work sadly.

Hello, I recently bought this 2021 Asus Rog Zephyrus G15 from Best Buy and I got it for $1650 on sale. Here is the link to what I got. It has a RTX 3070, Ryzen 9, 16gb of RAM, and 1tb of storage. I noticed this laptop has a minor clicking sound when the fan spins slowly and it has some backlight bleed. I'm new to gaming laptops and never really knew what backlight bleed is until now. I included two pictures, one from inside a game and another from the backlight bleed test. On the backlight bleed test, the large pink spot isn't actually on the monitor, that's just the picture. The bleed is on the bottom right corner and bottom left. Is this really bad or are most other ones going to be worse? Should I exchange it and try to get a better one or is this one not that bad? Thank you.

Anyone facing this issues before ? What happens is that randomly a certain column of pixels vanish in the centre of the screen and forms in the right hand corner of the screen , there are few snapshots available in the attachments. Here is you look closely the curser is cut in the middle of the screen and is available in the right hand corner.

So what im trying to do is to record my xbox and stuff and my laptop's HDMI port is HDMI out or whatever, so i cant plug my xbox into my laptop and Xbox Console Companion is laggy. So my question is, can i buy a monitor and wirelessly connect it to my laptop using connect a wireless display at the bottom of display settings, and hook my xbox into the monitor and record the second monitor using OBS while the xbox is pugged into the monitor and stuff. If someone doesnt understand something just say what you dont and i will try to explain it better, it would be really appreciated if someone could give me an answer. So I have wanted a 1440p monitor for some time now, and just saw one that was on sale pretty cheap in my country, the Asus Tuf vg27aq. I know that a lot of people say that the Gigabyte m27q is one of the go to "Bang for buck" monitors, also heard that about the LG 27GL83A The prices at this moment in my country is (Using a currency exhange website, since I use dkk) Asus vg27aq = 220 USD Gigabyte m27q and the LG 27GL83A Is both around 350 USD Would you say that the LG or the M27q is worth 130 USD more than the Asus vg27aq?

Hello Good Folks, I have bought a new laptop from Asus (the asus duo), and the battery runs out too fast. From reading online and getting in contact with people who have the exact same model, my models seems to be getting a much shorter battery life. I have tried everything, including playing around with settings, reinstalling windows, getting everything (including drivers) up to date, and even going to the service center to install a factory level OS copy. The battery life was too variable. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a safe (not shady) battery monitoring app that displays graphs and tells battery use by apps/services over time. It would be wonderful if anyone can suggest an app for RAM, CPU, and GPU monitoring with similar features as well. Any help is really really appreciated, even a discussion would be wonderful.

LG 27GL850-B, Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ and Asus PG279Q ROG Swift seem to be the best 2k high refresh rate gaiming monitors on the market right now. Which one should i get or should i get a different monitor all together?

I have a triple monitor setup that as of 5/2/20 worked fine (AOC - i2779vh, Asus VG248QE, Asus TUF Gaming VG32VQ 32”) The 2 Asus monitors work via Display Port and the AOC via Hdmi. When i plug in the HDMI cable the two display port monitors go to black and do not turn back on. they worked fine the day before running at different refresh rates 144,144,60. I'm on the latest version of windows Ryzen 3900x, GTX 1080 FE, 32GB ram. Any suggestions to help me with this issue greatly appreciated.

Hey Linus Media Group Why don't you install a sliding window type of mechanism for the external monitors like in the ones in the fast food joints? so you can easily slide the external displays to the main laptop, but i hope the cables doesnt overlap Just a suggestion Good Luck

Im having issues with either my monitors or much more likely, my graphics card. I installed my new graphics card recently, a SAPPHIRE Nitro+ RX 480 4gb. After the installation i also changed my secondary monitor to a wider one, an HP S2031; Primary is an HP w2207. On startup both monitors will turn on and show the buncha numbers; then, my primary monitor will go to sleep, i have to turn my primary off and on again to get it to work then sign into my PC. It is really frustrating and i want to know if my Graphics card is defective before the unknown length warranty passes. I've had the graphics card for probably 1-2 weeks now. Other Specs: CPU: FX-4100 GPU: Stated Above Motherboard: GA-78lmt-USB3 PSU: EVGA 500w B1 (Also installed with my Graphics card if its relevant) Hard Disc, no SSD. All of these parts except PSU and GPU are about 4 years old Ty EDIT: Turns out it didnt work... worked for one boot up. Same issue, i ran DDU and reinstalled the drivers from AMD page, the drivers it recommended me to download. Still no luck... ;-;

I have an xbox 360 that I use to play halo and sonic, and I want to connect it to my monitor, but I had to adapt hdmi to dvi, so I have no sound, no optical cables, and no av cables.

This is what i see every time i fullscreen a video thats maximised on my second moniter. Im Not sure whats causing it, It persisted after i did a full reinstallation of my OS. I Use windows 7. And this always happens on a maximised window that is designated 2. so its not some specific moniter issue. Guys wouldn't it be a cool idea if linus re done his 8K gaming holy shit video but he done it with the 8k gaming monitor we saw at CEX, it would be cool to see if it actually shows real world performance. Can people share this topic to linus if they want it to happen I think it is a cool video idea.
