Hi there hope u doing good, right now I'm trying to get into some better headphones. I looked around and found the company beyerdynamic. I'm not sure if i'm even settled on the DT990 Pro's (250 Ohm version), i'm still looking so if you got some better for under 200 Euros please tell me. I'm into gaming but i also wanna listen to music and watch movies so Sound is really important for me so i hope they work for that. They also should be a little bit durable because sometimes my Headset falls of my desk... Like i said i have the MSI PRO Z790-A WIFI as a Motherboard, it says it can do over 600 Ohms but i'm not sure if it will sound good and if it's gonna have much disturbance. I hope i don't need a Headphone Amplifier but if u got one for a good price please also tell me (Soundcard also works). But if it works good without one on my motherboard it would be really cool. I'm sorry i really am new to Audio things so i'm not quiete sure how it all works. If i decide for these headphones i would probably need a new mic so if you got a good standing mic which isn't as expensive like 60 euros or a bit more also tell me. All comes down to how much the headphones cost because i got like about 250 euros in total to spend on things :3. I'm currently on a HyperX Cloud Alpha it's good but i want something better so yea :D. I hope my English wasn't the worst, it's not my Motherlanguage and it's also pretty late for me right now. Thanks in advance and have a nice day. Herbs

Does anyone know why my headset's mic isn't working or showing up in device manager? It was fine working and then I unplugged it to move my pc and now it isn't showing up.

Hello Everyone, My mic stops working randomly whenever I'm playing Escape From Tarkov with friends. We use Discord to communicate and everything goes well until randomly my mic will just stop working completely. I tried connecting back to the call and re-launching Discord but that doesn't help. The only way I get my mic working again is by unplugging it from USB port and plugging it back in. I thought that maybe the headset is the issue so I went ahead and borrowed my friend's one. I encountered the same issue today and have no idea what is causing this. The headsets I've tried are Logitech G Pro X (wired) and Corsair Virtuoso XT (wireless). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank You! P.S: The issue seems to be on my PC. I haven't encountered this issue on my laptop as of yet.

Good morning, everyone I have a problem I'm hoping everyone can help me with. My girlfriend and I just moved into a new condo, and we have 2 gaming setups in 1 room. The problem is that when I talk, I can hear myself on her mic and same for her (on discord and stream labs). What is the solution for this we both have Elgato Wave 3 mics. Do we need to buy new mics or is there something we can do to make these work?

So recently I bought an RODE NT-usb mini, and I plugged it in, and all was working great. A couple days ago though I bought a new cable for it, so I can have better cable management, and after that my mic will barely pick up sound. It sounds normal and clear when I'm just barely touching my mic and talking, but as soon as I get more than 3 or 4 inches away it sounds dead quiet. My headset (Steelseries Arctis 7+) has a microphone, and when using that, everything works fine. I tried going back to the cable that it came with, but the issue persists even with that. I have messed with sound settings, making sure everything is set to max. I've tried various potential solutions that I've found from googling my issue a bunch, but to no avail. A couple days ago though, it started working again, and all was good, but then it went back to not functioning yesterday. Now just today, my headset mic did had the same issue, where it wouldn't pick up noise unless I was right next to it. That didn't last long though, only a couple minutes before it fixed itself. I haven't uninstalled/installed any programs that would be relevant to any of this as far as I'm aware, so I'd really appreciate it if any of y'all have any idea what's up.

So I bought this specific mic from ebay: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/225054921941?hash=item34665194d5:g:o5UAAOSwSGNivtHW&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwJr6Er8iI7SC%2F9%2BnZJQkjag6YXGRChj7ZxTE8Jp6nYNqIZcogzNw%2FMW5Rld0ZizEapBHHrEUZPpTW4WR%2FerHC6xNcb57u4h3miyFzAX1%2FFrOMMd4I14DpwwALmf9naFGnZeDwzCot3aQ8HVuK6YdQJvMUvQ%2FsiSZ8aTTmmGUr%2BQdKESG3UoXvxElZoJ3C%2FCpjzpTGMKmfqbcFCwuPOZCPBJoVgAqIS5j7a6m0ndGXhQTMKtpCUy61zNorPryzplyzg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABlBMUOrcyo-lYw But It won't work on pc, I try to plug it in to my desktop but all it does is say that its connected. It doesn't actually work, Windows doesn't recognize it I think or smth like that. Please help me!

hi I bought this mic (HyperX Quadcast S) a year ago after I bought an i9 13900KF and changed my motherboard to Asus Tuf Z-790-Plus Wifi I encountered some weird thing happening to my computer for example, my monitor sometimes goes black and it seems like it turned itself off, after a few seconds it comes back on by itself (Asus Tuf Gaming VG27AQ1A) and most importantly, my microphone it sometimes disconnects and reconnects by itself in half a second, but everything seems fine until my friends in Discord say my voice became froggy, and I have to disconnect the mic entirely and reconnect it to fix it. now every time it disconnects and reconnects I need to unplug and replug it in. I'll upload an example that I recorded from this situation. And we are not even talking about the worst part yet! sometimes my mic changes my voice to a weird loud earsplitting noise that gets louder every time I speak, this one happens without disconnecting and I can tell when it happens but my friends get jumpscared every time. I'll upload this too. I have to mention that I record gameplays a lot and these happen more often when I'm recording, I don't know if it's because of the CPU or motherboard and the game's high load but it has to be connected to that I connect my Logitech Brio webcam when I'm recording, and I'll unplug it after recording, keep in mind that it also happens when I'm not recording, its just less likely to happen froggy voice.mp4 loud noises.mp4

Hello. I've recently built a PC for my dad, we luckily live in the same house. We are troubleshooting a mic issue. The mic works with his Xbox Series X fine but won't work with the PC at all. The mic isn't picking up very well. We have tried changing its gain in Windows and in other applications, trying different volumes on my side (receiving) and it either doesn't pick up or the volume is so low at the end that you can't hear it. Testing leads it to say anywhere between 3% to 15% at full input volume on windows. His specs are below. GIGABYTE B650M DS3H Ryzen 5 7600x (I disabled the integrated graphics for AMD and Nvidia program issues) NH-D15 32gb (2x16gb) CL32 5600mhz T-Force Vulcan 3060 12gb ASUS Tuf Nvidia WD Black 850X 2TB (Boot Drive) Samsung 990 Pro 4TB (Steam Drive) 1200W 80+ Gold Rosewill PSU The problem is with a Razer Kraken THX Tournament Edition Headset mic. We have used the included USB dongle and a splitter (into the front and back ports). When using the USB THX dongle we did use Razer Synapse and still had no luck. I have also made sure to check BIOs and utility versions for them to be up to date. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, First time poster here so please be gentle... I recently bought myself a Razer Blackshark v2 X for Christmas for myself as a reward for doing a fine good job at work and school. I thought that maybe, I could replace my 2 year old headset but unfortunately, the mic is not working. The mic is picking up these static and buzzing noises whenever I talk or move. I do not know what is causing this to be honest as I have tried the following: I tried testing the headset on a different pc, all working correctly as intended. I thought maybe there are too many things plugged into my pc ports at once so I removed everything except for the headset and hdmi and the buzzing noises are still there. I tried purchasing an audio to USB converter and it reduced the buzzing noises but this time, there is a beeping noises. I removed the pc cable from the socket and connected it to the main wall alone and did not work I updated the realtek driver from gigabyte and still not working I plugged in the headset directly to the mic and bypassed the audio splitter and plugged in my old headset as the speaker and the buzzing noises are still there. Tried to use a different splitter, still the same issues. Plugged in an earphones to the splitter to test it, the mic is loud and clear but whenever I touch the connection, the buzzing noise happens. I used the front case audio port and still not working. Tried Windows troubleshoot and it went straight to "Windows can't find the issue" thing or whatever. To be honest, I am just ready to throw everything to the wall. I can't even return it anymore since it is already passed the 7 days return window and my country has a piss poor consumer protection rights. I should have done more research to be honest. I did not know it needed a splitter in order to work on my pc. I can either buy a PCIE Sound card (with pcie extension since my gpu is massive) or just buy an external mic (my desk space is tight as it is and I would hate to go this option. More wires too) I have attached the video for your reference. Please help me... 2023-12-18 12-17-03.mp4

I just want to connect some headphones and a XLR mic to it, nothing else https://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-M-Track-Duo-Interface-Podcasting/dp/B08Q1NJSBQ/ https://www.amazon.com/BEHRINGER-Audio-Interface-1-Channel-UM2/dp/B00EK1OTZC/ I don't know the real difference between different types of audio interfaces, aside from "This one has more I/O connections than this other one"

Hi! I'm currently looking for a wireless mic, and I'm torn between the Rode Wireless Go 1st Gen and the Rode Wireless Me. My primary use cases include filmmaking, conducting interviews, and recording very small conversations. The camera I'm buying for is Sony a7 III. I've heard and looked positive things about both systems, but I'm looking for some insights from those who may have hands-on experience with either or both. Are there specific features or performance aspects that make one better suited for filmmaking or interviews over the other? How do they handle recording in smaller, more intimate settings? Which one is best suited for mostly crowded places to record decent quality? Any insights, recommendations, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Hello, i want to buy a condenser cardioid mic to use it for live gaming purpose (discord or teamspeak), i was thinking to buy a Tonor TC30 or Fifine K678, price is close to each other between 30-40 eur on my local store. Decided to go with a stand mic because the boom arm is in my way and i do not have much space for it. What's the best placement to avoid blocking my view? Can i use the mic on the side of my keyboard? Likely 50cm from my mouth, on the right side. This is my small desk. https://i.imgur.com/pH9up4Z.jpeg Thank you for any advice and tips.

Hello, me and my girlfriend have desks right next to each other and that means whenever I want to talk with someone on Discord, everyone can hear her as well. Right now I am using a built in mic from my laptop. I was hoping to solve this issue with as low cost as possible. Any microphone recommendations?

I've just moved to a new place and my tv room is right next to the study. on top of that instead of having a standard door, it's this weird folding double door so that blocks almost no noise. I currently have this cheap USB mic that sits on my desk. https://fifinemicrophone.com/products/usb-microphone-with-volume-control-k669-669b Audio from it is pretty good but it picks up everything, even turned down super low, and using noise suppression software like Krisp on Discord and AMD noise suppression it still picks up the TV. I assume because the TV has voices otherwise it deals with mouse clicks and keyboard typing pretty well. From research, I've narrowed my options down to 2. Get a mic arm possibly a new microphone as well, so it sits in front of my face, and turn the volume down. Or get an Antlion mod mic and attach that to my headphones. What are your suggestions? I give zero fucks about audio quality I'm not using it for audio recording or streaming. I'm just talking to mates while I game or having the occasional business meetings at home. The most important thing is background noise removal

Every time I start my pc for the first time of the day, my mic will randomly stop picking up sound. I found I can get it to work by plugging out the usb and plugging it back in. I also have a dongle for the headset where I can enable "7.1". Clicking that also makes my mic work. But both of theese are temporary, about 5-10 min until it mic stops working again. What works is to restart the pc using the reset switch on the front panel, or restarting within windows, this makes my mic work for the rest of the day. * Have tried another headset, same as I use (hyperx Cloud II) that works on another pc, yet I still get the issue, my headset worked flawlessly on the other pc. * Did a SFC scan that found corrupted files, this fixed the "levels" tab in sound control panel for the mic which was stuck at zero, now I can change the slider but no effect on my issue. * Uninstalled and reinstalled a bunch of drivers (usb, sound, hyperx), nothing seems to work. Seems to be happening while in game only, but then again I havent really been in discord outside of gaming to notice mic issues. Specs Windows 10 Pro 64 z690 Aorus Elite DDR4 (Current BIOS version F21. F23 is latest) Intel i5-13600k (stock) 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM (3600 MHz XMP) RTX 3090 TI FE (stock) 2 x Kingston NV1 1TB (One of which is boot drive) Crucial MX 500 1TB Storage Random Intel SSD 250GB storage (Dont know exact name) Corsair RM850X (2021) (850W 80+ gold) Its been a while since I started getting this issue, have tried a lot of things and its driving me insane. Open to any and all suggestions, will go through all of them even if I already have tried in case I missed something.

Hello everyone, I am having an issue with voice chat in Valorant and in Rainbow Six Siege. My in game communications are deafened and mic is muted. I made sure my mic is set to default on sound settings and the loopback test in the actual game works. I have tried the following for trouble shooting: 1. Making sure all appolications that require mic access are allowed through windows firewall 2. I have reinstalled the applications 3. Tried connecting to different regional servers in game. I am honestly at a loss where to go from here. Please help :(

I am searching for new microphone for gaming and streaming. I come across at some options here. Hyperx Quadcast S = $160, it has pop filter and shock mount included. Or Elgato Wave 3 = $172,no pop filter and shock mount included and cost $36 and $49 respectively. A Software that is very good by reviewers said. That cost will be $97 apart from each other. These prices are converted from Malaysia. Which one should I get?

Problem: 2 Mic died the same way in the past 3 months Mic: Blue yeti nano Motherboard: Asus prime x470-pro Case: lian li O11D Cables: cable that come with the mic + an USB extension (the mouse cable extention from all the Logitech mouse / keyboard products) Mic Arm: cheap amazon arm Pop filter: cheap foam-ish cover filter on top How did it die: *I did try the mic with another computer, and it does not show up either, Mics acts the same with both computer.* It just stopped working one day. Lights on the mic still light up and change color according to how I click them (both from mute bottom & pattern bottom). Possible culprit? Static discharge from my hand to the top of the Mic? Static discharge from my hand to the USB ports in the back of the PC? Static discharge when I touched my case and it shocked all the way back? IO shield is not connected to the motherboard correctly? Some parts of the Motherboard broke and it is actively murdering my mic and my mic only? (maybe I plugged in the same port and it is on that single port that is broken?) Extra Info: I had the first mic for more than around a year now, everything worked well until 1-2 months ago. The mic just stopped working one day (didn't stop working while using it, just grabbed the mic over, but it doesn't work anymore) (the night before, I was changing components in my PC) I tried everything and it didn't work, I got it RMA and Logitech sent me a new mic ASAP. 2nd Mic worked well until tonight.... (Last night, I got a new headset, so I unplugged the audio jack with the new one that came with the headphones. Did not open the PC. Just unplugged jack and plugged in the new cable, probably touched over the USBs behind my PC) [Edit, added info 3/9/2021, 1:55AM EST] Also wanted to add that I bought a pair of soft cushion slippers (3months ago?) and change my fake leather chair to a fabric chair (1month ago?). I am not sure, but I feel I have much more static zap when touching any metal in my room! Diagnostics: 1- Computer cannot detect the mic, sound panel cant see the mic at all (Pic1, none of the mics listed is blue, and non of them works) 2- When I plug the mic, most of the time, i get a message notification saying (USB device not recognized, The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. Windows explorer) (Pic2) 3- I checked the Device manager also, under "universal serial bus controller" -> "Unknown USB Device (Port Reset Failed)" shows up after 1min from the mic to be plugged in (Pic3)

Best budget mic for the setup I am building that's following a grey, white and black design.
