Hello every one so I have hp omen 15 with i7 10870h CPU which consume 45 watt and rtx 3070 which consume 140w. The issue is when the the gpu boost to 1980 mhz with 100-115w the CPU consume below 20 watt and my fps become really bad. I try to undervolt the GPU to 1560 mhz which give me good performance but all my games crash even some times shutdown the laptop. Also I noticed that when ever I try to use dlss games automaticly crash. I formatted my pc multiple times and installed drivers but nothing changes. I also check if my gpu have problem but all things seems fine so what should I do?

Hi i have a Lenovo U165 primarly used for net browsing, watching movies and youtube. Specs are: Amd Athlon II Neo K125 CPU, Mobility Radeon HD4200, upgraded ram to 4GB and a Intel 60GB SSD. I tried: windows 7 -slow windows10 -still slow and has a compatibility problem with gpu driver. Ubuntu - better but still not much faster, same problem with gpu driver.. i dont know much about linux and the driver instalation in ubuntu was a nightmare. Is there anything not outdated i could use on this netbook?..where all drivers will work. Only software i need is internet browser and hw accelerated movie player basically.

Hi , I recently upgraded to a RTX 3070 aorus master 8gb from a rx 5700 xt sapphire nitro 8gb oc, the problem here is that I feel like performance I get is less and quiet bad , I have a r5 3600 and 32 gb ram at 3200 MHz and the resolution I play is 1080 p What can I do to improve the FPS, and why I don’t get the FPS I need to get ? The thing is that , I’ll give you this example , Fortnite , direct x12 setting high no dlss etc, frames are ok 170-180-200 but sometimes it dips really bad , really bad , for a couple of seconds 100-110-90 and I noticed that the gpu is not staying not even close to 80% usage and the usage of the cpu and gpu are almost the same, is this bottlenecking? I got more FPS from the amd one , is it driver issue ? I have 0 clues

So, my friend bought Lenovo Legion Y530 (i5 8300H, 8 GB, GTX 1050Ti(mobile), 1.8TB HDD+Intel Optane 16GB). And back in the days when it was brand new it run very well. Its 2 years and since hi bought like brand new and it ran very well. Hi played games like PUGB, GTA V e.c. and wasnt any problem. But now first of all hi is experiencing FPS drops and shuttering. I have cleaned(hardware and os) changed thermalpaste (cpu, gpu) have uninstaled and re-installed drivers (nvidia and intel) have played with power options and still hi has this shuttering and lower FPS. Sorry for my language knowlege!

4GB of vram is too low in 2021. What was nvidia thinking to provide just 4gb of vram with their RTX 3050 lineup. I get it it's a budget card, but it should atleast have been 6gb. the card is easily capable for high - mid graphics and around 40 fps. But is bottlenecked by the VRAM. I get around 60 fps at mid settings. Just because of the vram I can't turn it up a bit. UGH I wish nvidia would have thunk it better. but otherwise rtx 3050 is very decent. Older AAA work fine-o-fine

Hey guys so I have a preety good gaming laptop it has an i7-9750H with 16gb of ram and a GTX 1660ti Max-Q, but lately playing I have noticed that more demanding games have started to lower the FPS, near to 25 FPS! And its started to get annoying, if any one could help me I will be grateful. Note:This started to happen like 2 months ago aprox. Gamebenchmark: Tales of the arise

I got a new card few days ago, it's an Asus 3060 Ti Dual V2 OC version. It worked fine the first two-three days, but now I started noticing weird thing, like for example really low usage and FPS in GTA 5 at 1080, 50-90 at very high settings. Same thing happening in CP2077, I run it on the RTX Ultra preset at 1080p, but my card still manages to push out 60-70 fps at ~80% usage? I decided to run some 3DMark benchmarks and here are the results: Firestrike settings Firestrike scores TimeSpy settings TimeSpy scores Also note that I have it running with an undervolt at 943 mV and 1995 MHz. It usually stays between 60 and 70 degrees C. Other PC specs are 3700X, X470 aorus ultra gaming motherboard, 2x8gb @ 3200mhz, and edg650 650W psu. If you need any other info ask.

Hey all, I'm running into some issues with games at slightly lower framerates than I would expect given my hardware. My rig is: RTX 3080 Aorus Xtreme Ryzen 5900X 32GB 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Neo RAM Noctua NH-U12A Western Digital WD BLACK SN750 NVMe M.2 2280 1TB Crucial P5 2TB 3D NAND NVMe GIGABYTE B550I AORUS PRO AX AM4 AMD B550 Mini-ITX Motherboard Cooler Master V850 SFX Gold Full Modular, 850W Cooler Master NR200 SFF Small Form Factor Mini-ITX Right now I'm running into issues in a couple of games I play, Warzone and Battlefield V. I'm running the highest settings in both games at 1440p. In Warzone, I average 110fps, with no noticeable increase when turning my render resolution down to 50%, GPU power draw just drops from ~310W to 250W. I can get up to ~130 fps by turning everything down to low but I'd expect that to be significantly higher. Every couple of games I'll get stuck down at 70-90fps which is only fixed by either restarting the game or forcing my game to 4K render resolution and then turning it back down to 1440p. I've noticed GPU power dips when this happens, down to around ~260W and does not recover until one of the fixes is applied. This is not brought on by alt-tabbing or anything. It seems to be random. In Battlefield V on Devastation, one of the more taxing maps, I average 130fps on ultra without raytracing. MSI Afterburner shows GPU is largely held back by the voltage limit with an occasional hit to the power limit. Wattage bounces around between 325W-340W. This video shows an FE3080 and 5800X running the same map with identical settings averaging ~160fps, a >20% improvement, all the while using less GPU power (~310W) with a lower grade CPU. I'm using the latest Nvidia drivers, updated mobo BIOS and GPU BIOS. Not sure how to determine what's holding my rig back at this point beyond the obvious. Any ideas? Thanks!

I was going to accept fate and just buy a gaming laptop but then I found some graphics cards for literally $3 that could be a stand-in until I can actually get an rtx 3090 for a regular price. Will I have any problems booting a system with an ATI Radeon HD 4550 512MB PCI-e Low Profile 584217-001 Video Card???

Hello my specs are: Cpu- I5-9600K , Gpu- 2070super, Ram- 16gb 3200mhz. And my problem is I have terrible stutter and I don't know why my 0.1 and 1% Fps low are that low. I would apreciate all kind of tips, thank you and have a good day

I tell you that I bought a second-hand gpu that seems to be faulty, I have been looking for thousands of solutions in this and other forums, I have seen that many people have run into this problem but none find the solution. The problem is that the core clock remains capped at 139mhz and the memory clock does not exceed 810mhz and the performance in games and beanchmarks are really bad, 12 FPS in Furmark I have already done different tests such as putting high performance mode in Windows and in the Nvidia panel, using DDU, reinstalling drivers, a clean installation of windows, using MSI Afterburner, Asus GPUTweekII, after trying various things I was forced to try flashing a BIOS taken from Techpowerup, but it didn't solve anything. So far the only thing I have found is that in GPU-Z the Power Draw Board is + 400w, PCIe Slot Power + 390w and a Power of 147% DOING NOTHING, simply on the desktop, a Perfcap reason is also added: Pwr, and a solid green line. It also strikes me that the voltage is constantly 0.65v (I don't know what the normal voltage is). https://imgur.com/4zAuHK6 https://imgur.com/KW14JCX https://imgur.com/tTXqzCI I am currently using an Aerocool Cylon 600w 80+ bronze PSU, I know it is a bit fair but the previous owner told me that he tested it with an 850w 80+ source, so we could rule out a power issue from the PSU, already that in neither of the two systems has worked well. I hope you can help me, and thank you very much in advance !! AMD Ryzen 5 2600x Asrock b450m Steel legend 2x8GB RAM Corsair vengeance

Hi! My RTX 2070 Super 8gb is extremely underperforming. I’m getting 110fps on Warzone on 1080p with Low Setting (because I have a 144hz Monitor) and the GPU usage is at 75%. When I change the Graphic Settings to High/Ultra the FPS doesn’t change at all but the GPU usages go up. MY SETUP: Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 2070 Super 8gb, Ballistic 8gbx2 2666Mhz, ASUS B450m MOBO. If anybody can help I’d really appreciate it!

Hello guys, Yesterday I put togheter my first PC build : - Ryzen 5 5600X with stock cooler and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut paste - ASUS TUF B550 PLUS ATX Motherboard - G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB DDR4 3200MHz - ASUS Dual OC RTX 3080 - Micron 2200 M.2 PCIE NVME 1TB ( took this from a Dell XPS 15 9750) - Seagate Barracuda SATA SSD 1TB - Corsair RM 750x 2018 PSU ( 750watts 80+gold) White using the cables that came with the PSU - Corsair 4000D with 2 corsair 120mm Corsair fans in the front and 1 in the back. I have really low fps in games. I tried Rainbow Six Siege and CoD MW Warzone and I can barely get 40 fps at 1080p on max settings which is really low considering that on various benchmarks on youtube the same build would get 140+ fps. I feel like this is a software+hardware or even software only issue (explanation at the bottom). Problems I encountered/solved with this build so far (skip past the next section , low fps issue discussed at the bottom): -Stuck at POST screen, computer would not detect keyboard. SOLVED: Loaded BIOS update from ASUS website to FAT 32 USB flash drive and used BIOS FlashBack to upgrade BIOS (with the PC turned off, plug USB into BIOS USB port on motherboard and press the bios flashback button for 3 seconds and a green LED will start blinking on the mobo, when it stops it means it's done) -Some of the SATA Ports do not detect the SATA SSD. SOLVED: I tried different SATA ports ont he Motherboard and it works fine. I have 2 games installed , R6 Siege and Warzone, Siege on the NVMe Drive and Warzone first on the M.2 then on the SATA. Last night after I completed the build , I installed windows and these 2 games. I fired up Siege and I was getting 80fps with everything maxed at 1080p but I had stuttering issues. Then I fired up Warzone and I was getting about 40-50 fps at 1080p with everything maxed. I had 200fps all the way from the activision logo to the point that I click on "find lobby" and then the computer has to actually work to render the walking soldier while it finds me a game. I get in the game and the coolers start spinning faster on the CPU since the utilisation ramps up. All this time the temperature on the CPU is around 60 Celsius. Then the computer restarts itself. Weird ... I do a GPU reseat , I make sure every power cable is tucked in place and I go again...same result. I checked the GPU utilisation and it's sitting pretty decently at about 40% however the CPU utilisation was really low(probably bottlenecking the GPU hence the only40% utilistation). Mind that the GPU had already been tested when I bought it on my frind's PC and it performed correctly. So far i thought that I had a faulty CPU so i decide to benchmark it. I hop on Cinebench 23 and the results are on par with internet found ones : somwhere in the 1500's range , I let it run for 2 passes to check for consistency and it did good. So the GPU is working fine, the CPU seems to be working fine but only in benchmarks , the temps are ok on both, the motherboard must be fine otherwise the computer wouldn't work( right?)....maybe the drives are faulty, maybe the read speeds are too low and that's why i get low fps. I decided to install warzone on the SATA instead of the M.2. I unisntall warzone, reinstall it on the SATA ( all this time download speeds are really good, just as expected (100 megabytes/ second on a 1Gbps connection). I launch the game and i get super high fps. My "in match" fps is of about 120 constantly , no drops . I thought that figured it out, I thought the NVMe drive was running too hot so it throttled itself. So I turn on R6 Siege for validation but now Siege runs just as well. What the actual fuck I say to myself. So everything was good now. I go to sleep and the next morning I fire up my computer and now the FPS is lower than it was yesterday when it ran badly. Now I get 40fps at best in both siege and Warzone also Wrazone keeps restarting my PC. After tweaking, uninstalling and reinstalling nvidia drivers Warzone does not restart my computer however "in match fps" dropped to 20-30. What I plan on doing next: - Check for CPU under-utilisation bugs - Run a RAM test to check for any faulty RAM - Run GPU bechmark to see if in benchmarks performance is on par with internet results - Get a new windows install on the SATA SSD , maybe a faulty windows installation or something wrong with the nvme drive affects windows which in turn affects fps. -unfortunately i do not have other computer parts to swap and rule them out individualy. The reason why I think this is a software(software+hardware) issue is that last night it ran well after installing Warzone on the SATA drive which means all these components can perform at their maximum capabilities( so it's not faulty hardware) The only variable when I did this change was the drive, but even then the nvme ran good as well. Please help , I am desperate. Later Edit: I tried swapping the GPU power cable . I was using one of those calbes that at the end it splits into 2 x 8pin . I swapped it for 2 separate cables ( of the same type but only connected one of the 8pins from each). It didn't fix the problem. Someone suggested that i stress test components individually . Is tarted with the GPU. Used Furmark with the 1080p preset( I only have 1080p monitor) and while the temps were decent ( 60 celsius) I got a score of only 6000 while results on the internet placed the 3070 somewhere in the 10-11000 range. So i tried running it again and it restarted my computer mid benchmark. I think there is something wron with the GPU , the PSU or both. Either the PSU can't feed enough power or the GPU can't draw enough. Next I will try plugging the power cables into different ports on the PSU.

I've recently purchased an ASUS TUF 3080 OC edition. The performance seems quite a bit lower than I was expecting. I have been using primarily 3DMark to benchmark this GPU, as it worked well for the previous two GPU's I owned. I owned a GTX 1080 STRIX, as well as an MSI RTX 3070. Upon comparing scores via 3DMark, or simply what other people are posting via reddit, linustechtips forum, userbenchmark, and the buildapc discord; performance seems quite disappointing. I really am not sure what could be going wrong. I've checked the basic monitoring information, starting with stock, as well as with increased power limit. Temperatures do not rise above 73C, GPU is in full utilization, CPU's temps are fine, and memory is running in full XMP. It seems that I am approximately 8-12 percent behind of other people with comparable GPU's. Is that normal hardware variance? So far I'm really disappointed with the performance as compared to others. If that sort of percentage can be due to normal hardware variance, that could explain it as well. As far as I can tell the GPU is using 350W under full load (albeit measured with software). Other things I've tried: GPU drivers are up to date, windows is up to date, background programs have been shut, restarted system between benchmarks, as well as overclocking. Even with overclocking the GPU still falls well behind average sitting at around 6-9% behind. Sometimes more. I really appreciate any help. Pics for more clarification https://gyazo.com/2486e83ff265ab4f085b13e031028db6 https://gyazo.com/34af361cf3338d9e8af02b74ba63c4f4 https://gyazo.com/94fbe9131c554f283999bffa0137e47d https://gyazo.com/a1877e755d5c222ebba919b9b2276a50 https://gyazo.com/77e0dadd009a5822ec44d32245ac9f20 UPDATE: The problem seems to indeed have been a power bottleneck. The 750W was not enough to sustain my processor at 5ghz. I troubleshooted this by lowering the CPU clock and voltage to around 4.7GHZ @ 1.28 volts. I also reduced the GPU to stock. This increased my GPU score drastically, which in turn increased my overall score. As expected, my processor is performing a bit less than before, around 8%. I will upgrade to a 1000 watt/1300 watt PSU, whichever price is better. I will return the overclocks to the new PSU and hopefully they will much appreciate the additional power. I'm also going to be changing it to a Seasonic PSU instead, no problems with the EVGA I just know Seasonic rocks

I had an -a- chipset motherboard before but this issue didnt occur but now qith my brand new b450 asrock pro 4 f i get some veery low clock speeds like 600 mhz when the advertised clockspeed is more than 3000 ghz,i tried quite a few soloitions online but none of them worked, the only thing that let me at least be relieved that my cpu isnt broken is when i auto overclock in ryzen master the clockspeed in the stress test hits more than 4000+ ghz in the stress test but returns to its past speed after said stress test ):

Hey peeps! So I'm building a budget workstation for my mom. She recently got into creative writing and some light graphics designing. I already have some parts from my old PC that I think would work pretty well for her purposes in the near future. The thing is, that I'd need to buy some RAM (I sold my old kit), a PSU (I reused it in my new build) and a graphics card. The parts I have are: FX 6300, midrange mobo with 4 ram slots and a case. She will mostly use Word, Publisher and Photoshop. She draws on a wacom tablet so just a bit of umpf in the graphics department would be prefered while staying on a low budget. I was thinking of getting her a gtx 1050 or 1050 ti or some equivalent on the red side. For ram I'm debating if I should get 8 or 16 gigs. You guys think it would make a big difference? The most demanding thing that she would do is draw with the tablet and she isn't too keen on spending too much. Just the bare minimum to get a usable experience. Cheers!

Hi! After some troubleshooting, googling and black magic, i have still not found why my memory wont clock at an "advertised" speed at 4000MHz DDr4, from what i understand 1 single ram stick should run at 2000MHz when in a DDR4 setup turning it in to 4000MHz with both sticks, but correct me if i'm wrong. Problem: RAM speed is locked at 1200MHz, tried turning on XMP 1 and 2, this causes ram to crash, tried to manually set it to: 1200-4000 it still crashes. updating bios did not help, updating drivers did not help. Its probably a super ez fix but my know how stops here. I'm not getting any error codes except for "after last changes pc starts in safe mode press f1 to start bios"

Hi, I have a problem and I can't sort it out by myself, I ran out of ideas. Recently I started playing The Witcher 2 and I want to play it on my laptop connected to an external TV. The problem is that when I play on the laptop screen I'm getting about 100-120 fps on the highest graphics settings 1080p. When I connect the lapto to the external screen, (which is 1360x768 btw, so if anything the FPS should be higher) the FPS drops to around 10-20 fps. Totally unplayable. I came up with a couple fixes, but none worked. I forced the game to run on the dedicated graphics card. I did it in the Nvidia Control Panel and in the computer's settings. It does use the dedicated graphics, task manager confirms it, but for some reason the graphics card usage drops to about 30-50% (checked with MSI afterburner) when I connect it to the TV. Changing the graphics settings doesn't do anything. I also made sure that the TV is the only screen to work, laptop's screen is turned off when connected through HDMI. Please help. Specs: Lenovo Omen 15 Ryzen 5 4600H GTX 1650 Ti 8GB RAM Thank you in advance, Aleksander

My Specs are: RTX 3060 Ti, i5-12400F, 16GB RAM 3200Mhz, 1440p 165hz monitor In CS:GO witch is more of a cpu demanding game, I only have 30%ish CPU usage and the GPU is the same on low settings, on higher settings The CPU stays the same but the GPU goes up to 70 even 80%, multi-core rendering enabled in-game to be clear, when Im not ingame I can see my cpu goes up to higher usage% but in-game it never moves, even in other games, and I have low fps in CS:GO, even stutters, instead of 500-600fps (what others have with the same build) I have 250-300 and even drops into the 100`s, I updated every driver possible turned off-on G-sync etc. Any suggestions?

Hi guys, my system is performin really bad, being beating by my friend with a similar cpu and a 3070ti. In any game any resolution chnag eor graphics setting change does not affect fps whatsoever. A the given fps is lower than standard. In squad no matter what settings i cannot handle 60fps constant unlike ym 3070ti friend. Hunt showdown is 140fps low and high 1080p and 4k. BFV is v low fps like 130 on 1080p. very frustrated. full system 4080 aero i7 12700 16gb 3000mgh dual channel msi a850gf gold plus certified psu 240gb boot ssd 120 spare ssd 1tb crucial m.2 ssd Temperatures are all below 60 all games so its not throttlign whatsoever.
