Hello, so I've been trying to figure out why my framerate in minecraft with shaders is so low, and my gpu usage is low as well, peaking at 50%, and usually sitting at around 10-20. I have allocated 6 gigs of ram for minecraft, and have an r5 1600 and an rx 5700. I am using bsl shaders on the medium present, no settings changed except vigentte and motion blur disabled. I get anywhere from 5-40 fps, and get 100-200 fps without the shaders, so I don't think it's a cpu bottleneck. I seem to get low framerate regardless of what settings I use, except completely turning them off. Is there any optifine setting or shader setting that tanks performance on amd cards? Also, is there anything I should change in the driver settings? edit: forgot to say what my render distance was. I have it set to 24, but this was tested on hypixel in the main lobby, away from any people, so it's whatever render distance is the maximum on hypixel edit 2: I found this solution elsewhere, would this do anything if I could somehow replicate it on amd? "Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings, and set Threaded Optimization to Off, and Low Latency Mode to Off." edit 3: I apparently did notr have 6 gb allocated, and only had 2. I forgot to do that after reinstalling minecraft.

I have been having issues with low fps in vr games with my oculus rift cv1. These issues persist across different vr games and settings. The problem I get is that in vr games, I get dips in framerate down to 45fps exactly. I know this because of the fpsVR applicatioon, and it shows under-utilized gpu, sometimes as low as 60%. I don't think it's a cpu bottleneck either, as the highest usage I get is 80%, and it's usually lower than that. I am running at 100% of the oculus rift cv1 resolution, and the tested games that exhibit this behavior are beat saber, superhot vr, half-life alyx, vr chat, and steam vr home. specs: r5 1600, rx 5700, 16gb ram

so i been having this issue while just using none gaming applications such as file explorer or other just normal applications on being on my desktop. at first i thought maybe my display port cable was doing something weird given i have also noticed my pc cant hold a stable frame rate in games right now. not that its low frame rate just completely unstable. i bought two new DP cables and both have the same the problem so maybe its not the DP cable. how im seeing my frame rate of my desktop is with a built in FPS counter in my monitor i have an asus pg279q i can also feel it heavily getting around like 7 to 20 fps with applications that arent heavy at all. i mean i also get them in things like premier pro and photoshop but this feels very new i guess what im asking is. has anyone seen this before what could cause this. have i just never noticed this? i feel like for things Premier pro this is new

Recently got a gpu and can't figure out why I can't get any higher than 59 FPS. I've seen a rx580 get 80 fps. I'm new to building a pc so I'm stumped on how to get more fps. Do I need to overclock? I am getting quite terrible performance in certain games, and below average performance in everything I've played so far. It is especially noticeable on GTA averaging low 50s when driving through the city. I went to YouTube and searched for benchmarks of my CPU/GPU combo and right enough my setup should be getting me well over 100 FPS with everything maxed on GTA. Firstly, here is my setup: Ryzen 5 3600 RTX 3060 Ti Corsair Vengeance LPX 2 x 8GB CL16 MSI B450 Tomahawk Max Things I have tried: Ensured I am on latest GPU drivers Uninstalled drivers with DDU Fresh install of GPU drivers Reseated the GPU Ensured power settings set to High Performance in Windows & Nvidia Control Panel Updated Windows Ensured RAM is in Dual Channel w/ XMP on (3000Mhz) Updated chipset drivers Updated BIOS Ensured Link Sate Power Management is switched to off Here is are my UserBenchmark results: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/39019226 Here is a vid demonstrating my performance on GTA Here is a clip of me playing Doom 2016, GPU usage sitting at low 40% never going above 50% getting 100-120 FPS. Here is a clip of someone playing Doom Eternal on the same build, 98% GPU usage sitting at around 160-190 FPS constant.

Hey, i started playing Worms W.M.D with some friends and we used the Windows 10 version of the game that was in the game pass. Well, turns out i can't reach over 30fps at all when the game is in focus. When the game is not in focus it reaches 100fps and more. I updated all drivers related to hardware, reinstalled the game, tried every resolution with 60, 120 and 144hz, vsync on and off, various other graphical options. Enabled and disabled the game bar and my shadowplay game capture... discord open or closed (with gpu assisting and without).. idk what else i can do. I run a system with a i7 7700, GTX 1070, 2x8gb ram at 2400mhz. My friend runs a i7 6700K, GTX 1060 6gb and the same ram specs and his games runs just fine after he basically did everything i have mentioned. Yes, this applies for the most situations while being ingame. Menu is fine tho. This would not be so frustrating if the Xbox servers could connect to steam players cuz the steam version runs just fine on my pc. Thx for nothing Microsoft.

Hello, I recently upgraded my CPU to i7-4790K and then the problem started: computer boots into windows just fine, but if I try to restart, it will not boot and I have to power it down manually and start up again. As said above it all started when I replaced my CPU. Also I feel like new CPU underperforms a lot, in Battlefield 1 I still have fps drops below 60 even on low when playing 64 player mode. Checked CPU usage and it is usually between 70-80% My specs: i7-4790K new, i5-4570 old Palit GTX 1060 6GB MSI H81M-P33 V2 8GB RAM Windows 10 I already tried switching ram slots, reinstalling drivers, formatting system, and updating motherboard BIOS - nothing helped so far. Any sugestions?

I recently tried playing Wolfenstein: New Order after about 2 months and noticed that it was very unresponsive: laggy mouse movements, super low frame rates, overall very slow. I played on high settings before with around 40 FPS but now its unplayable, only when I put it in windowed mode do I get the appropriate frame rate. I have a MSI ge62 with a 5700hq, 960m, and 16gb of RAM. I tried rolling back to the nvidia driver from 2 months ago but that still didn't fix it. Also, my GPU utilization in full screen is not that high compared to windowed.

Yikes! Another thread on the low-fps train with Minecraft. So yeah, using modpacks of the game, whatever version I'm running, whichever version of Java I've got installed, no matter which driver versions I've got, my performance in modpacks is poor (unplayable poor, 3fps average). I know my pc can handle it, it USED to run them fine. Currently troubleshooting Schematica V4 by Recallgaming. It's got Optifine Ultra D6 installed by default, even updating that to D8 manually didn't help anything. Hell, I'm typing this from a fresh Windows 10 install I just did, and nothing has changed. I'm seeing all the comments on other threads and the usual answers say "Allocate more RAM", "Set affinity and priority", "update Java", "Get optifine", and so the list goes on. But no, all of that had no avail. It seems like the problem lies deeper, maybe somewhere with later forge versions. Fun fact: my rMBP 15" from 2015 with only Iris Pro runs the pack flawlessly at 60FPS, so that's a bit weird eh? Specs: i5 2400 12GB DDR3 RX470 8GB by MSI (yep, the Gaming X card, god I love that card)

So, over the past year and a half I've been given all sorts of trouble from this pc of mine (which I'm sure you'll see if you look at my past posts). I still can't restart it, it just shuts down and gives me a black screen with the system still "running". I'm getting a framerate that I think is less than I should be getting for my specs. Often when I boot into windows it immediately freezes or is extremely choppy. I cannot use any kind of wired audio device (that plugs into the audio jack). And lastly my cpu usage is constantly far too high. I'm thinking the problem is my motherboard, as I am on my second graphics card now and my temps are fine regardless. Any ideas as to what the culprit could be? Specs: Asus STRIX GAMING Z370-I Asus STRIX GAMING GTX 1070 Intel i5 8400 Stock intel cooler (but temps aren't an issue) 16 gb ram Corsair sf450 Any help is much appreciated. I really want this to be fixed so I can stop worrying about what's causing these issues.

I recently built my first PC and I don't believe that I am getting the frames I should be getting. Here is a PCPartPicker list of components. In GTA 5 I can rarely break 60 frames a second. I'm basing my idea that I should be getting higher frames from this video I found when I was trying to figure out why my framerate was so low. I have overclocked my GPU using MSI Afterburner and that didn't improve my performance in games. I have not overclocked my CPU yet but I am going to do that soon. When I play Minecraft it can't get above 60 frames and there is a lot of stuttering when moving. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?

I have a Gigabyte Aero 15x laptop with a i7 8750H and a GTX 1070 Max Q. In game I've noticed recently my framerate drops to ~30fps after I drop the resolution to 720p. Before I was able to hit ~120+ fps at 1080p. I checked task manager and it shows near 100% utilization of the intel graphics and barely 10-20% of the 1070. I tried reinstalling the drivers (with and without ddu) and also set the graphics card in nvidia control panel to the high performance 1070 both globally and specifically for the games I play and now I'm getting ~60fps at 1080p when before I got closer to double. Resource monitors show the intel graphics still has high utilization and the nvidia gpu having ~50% utilization. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Games are not running properly in my laptop. This are my spec of laptop in photo attach. I tried to play Call of Duty 4: modern warfare , Left 4 Dead 2 , Counter Strike: source , Cs:go which should support my system. But I'm get fps lower than 30. I tried change setting to low and lower the resolution but results were same. I also played cs:1.6 and brawlhalla , this game were running smooth but something even this game gets lower fps. Please suggest me something to this problem. I'm not excepting to run high end game but my laptop should able to play supported games at decent fps.

I dropped my laptop and it's broken so i had it to repair. The repair shop replaced the cpu cooler and the hdd and install window 10 for me(although i think it's cracked because it's not on the bill). After i bring it home and played half life 2. Normally, I would get around 150-200 fps on max setting but here it's only at 60fps. I tried this with fallout new vegas aswell, even though I get around 120fps I get only 60fps like the half life 2. Could you guys suggest if there is anything wrong here? I already went to the adjustable graphic option and changed every game to high performance(with high performance you get to use amd gpu while battery saving will get you intel igpu) and it still did not change a bit. Also, I noticed aswell that my mouse seems to get laggy and stuttering when the computer is processing something. Could this be the case the CPU is damaged and is causing all this problem?

While playing TF2 my CPU runs between 50-90% utilization with GPU usage never above 50% at it's max clock while my framerate often dips below 20 in battle (usually hanging around 17 FPS in an intense battle on a 32 slot server.) I play at 1600x900 with everything on max and VSync set to off. Changing the video settings/resolution doesn't do much in the way of more FPS. Temps are never above 52°C and 50°C for the CPU and GPU respectfully. HDD usage is low and memory usage is around 3.2/4.0 GB. I have good reason to believe that my processor is the bottleneck as it's maxed out on every other game I play. If I open the task manager and set TF2's affinity to only 1 of the two cores that core sits at a constant 100%, yet If I allow it to use both neither core likes to go above 90% usage regardless of the multicore rendering option. Soon I'm going to be changing out my mobo for an 1150 one as 775 has came and gone. What I want to know is why are none of my components maxing out yet my framerate is unplayable?

My friend has a lenovo y510p with two 750m gpus and it worked fine on all of the games he played. A while ago, it took a short fall, and now it gets really low framerates like 20 fps in WoW when he would get 60+ before. I would assume that if the hard drive was damaged from the fall, it would be completely dead. We have tried a system restore and removing the second gpu, but there has been no fix yet. Does anyone have an idea of what we can do?

I recently got another AOC 23" l2353PH monitor (now i have 2) and i have noticed a significant frame rate drop in Battlefield 4. In BF4 i usually run 70-80 fps with my settings and hardware but when i have both monitors plugged in it drops to 50-60 fps. I was wondering if that is caused by having 2 monitors plugged in and if there is a way to fix the problem or even disable one of the monitors while gaming.(I have a Gtx 770 if that helps)
