Hi. So, in the planning to purchase a new laptop, I had a list of what I was going to do. Find a decent laptop with a dGPU and all-day battery. Found the Dell Inspiron 7000 15" Gaming model. Seems like a great machine. Talk my friends into switching off of iMessage to something else. Purchase the new laptop after I have the money. Alright, so step 2 didn't go as I had hoped. I'm friends with some damn stubborn people who refuse to switch, and insist that I keep my old laptop with it's sh*t battery and crap performance. In other words, they were only thinking about themselves. This has put step 3 on a halt, and that's more of a halt than getting the money. I've been doing some research into using internet clients to 'stream' the iMessages to a local webpage. This is all well and good, except for the fact that I don't own an iPhone, and the most recent device I do own that has iMessage on it is my iPod Touch 4g from 2012. I've been messing around with this unit, trying to get it to sync with my iMessages on my Mac. This isn't working, and when I go to send a message after restarting the device, it won't send. I can't remember for the life of me how I got it working last time. There's one more thing: I want to keep all of my message history, but I don't want to keep it in a document. Also, the messages come through hella slow. My sister spammed me with about 38 messages. They quickly came through on my Mac, but took ages to come through on my iPod. If anyone can suggest an alternative that still has iMessage (I don't want to use a VM due to battery life) in it, for sort of under AU$50, that would be perfect! Thanks, Alpha.

Hi, so ill make this as short as possible. I recently got an iPod Touch 6th generation (iOS 10). I'm using it for Home and School. BUT when i try to go into my schools wifi, most things wont work. NOW i know school blocks this, and u use VPN to connect and use everything without it being blocked. but, when i try to use VPN, it never connects. I have pretty strong signal, and all my friends seem do it no problem (some of them use Android, and use Psiphon to connect, iOS doesn't have it) I tried like 5 or 6 apps such as VPN Master, Betternet, OpenVPN, etc. All would not connect to the server or load. But then when i tried to do it from my Wifi at home, it worked fast no problem. This is the info from the school wifi i got when looking for info....im gonna out "X" so not all info is out. IP Address - 10.213.8X.XXX Subnet Mask - 255.255.XXX.X Router - 10.213.84.1 DNS - 10.254.164.XXX, 10.254.63X.XXX Search Domains - BYODstu.XXXXXXXX Client ID - (nothing) What do i do??!! i got this thing to mostly use at school and most people use it just fine. Is there anything i can do that will fix it? Maybe MANUALLY make a VPN or something? Please help! again im using the newest ipod touch, so idk. And if there is anything that will work, is there something i need to do on regular wifi before going and trying to connect at school? I hope you guys can help me out! Thank you!!

ipod touch New iPod Touch might be in the works for 2019
captain_to_fire posted a topic in Tech News
Source: https://9to5mac.com/2019/01/14/ipod-touch-usb-c-iphone-report/ Why? Frankly a USB C iPhone is more likely to happen considering that the 2018 iPad Pro made the transition to USB C. An iPod Touch refresh, I mean it's an iPhone without a phone but nowadays you can get a cheapo refurb iPhone or iPad? Just as how much people are still buying those for themselves? I remember back when I was in college, I see people with Blackberry phones for their main way of communicating and an iPod Touch for entertainment. Now, it's either an Android phone or an iPhone. But I can see the iPod Touch (32 GB, $200) being used as a kid device and it's cheaper than the base model iPad at $330. If Apple is bringing it back, I hope they add IP67 water & dust resistance and make it cheaper at around $150. To parents in the forum who thinks of buying an iPod Touch to their kids, don't forget enabling parental controls which is now improved in iOS 12. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201304 -
Hi, i was wondering if u guys can tell me the best case for the iPod Touch 6th Generation? Im looking for a good case (hopefully with a screen protector) that is good quality. I've been looking at the Otterbox Defender case, but some people say that the screen protector has a space between the display and protector, so i dont know. Can you guys please help?

Hi, so im gonna make this as short as possible. Im 15, and i need something portable and fast, mostly for home and school. I don't want/need a phone because i honestly have no use for one right now, because i'm basically around wifi all the time and i dont call. lol I have a few questions regarding this, if you guys can help out (if i was to to get it, i would get the iPod Touch 6th generation) 1. Should i get an IPod now? This is the one main thing that concerns me because i dont want to get it and have another one be announced soon. Since the new IPhone has been release, with much faster specs, will they make another iPod anytime soon thats better? Should i be worried? How future proof will it be? 2. Should i get the 16gb or 32gb? i understand there is no upgrade, so if i buy one i need to stick to it. but honestly, i would only download a few apps (to communicate, like kik) and maybe some games. But i also want to save money..$50 more. 3. IF for some reason, i dont have wifi, could i use my parents hotspot or something on their phone? (they have like an HTC Phone with those Virgin Mobile Prepaid cards BUT always have unlimited everything. also, in the settings, theres a hotspot option) thats all the questions i can think of right now. And if theres anything i need to know about before purchasing, let me know thank you guys for taking the time to read this, and i hope you can help out!

Recently I've been having trouble copying over some new music onto my ipod touch. My iTunes version is 12.4.3.1 and my iPod's firmware is 9.3.3, both the latest versions available. My issue is that the last 3 albums I've tried to copy over to the iPod have failed to do so. The syncing arrows show up on the iPod showing that some sort of syncing is going on, and iTunes itself shows the 'preparing to update iPod' and the blue progress bar moves along and eventually disappears. It does appear to hang a bit but 'completes nonetheless. But when I check on the iPod itself, the albums do not show up under the artist it should. Viewing what is on the iPod when it is connected to iTunes shows that the albums are "there", but they are greyed out and have circles beside the songs. On top of this issue, iTunes has somehow managed to delete every single album cover artwork which is just mind boggling on its own. Is my only option to wipe the iPod and copy back my entire music collection??? Hope you can help. Thanks Edit: Running Windows 10 64bit

Apple has not updated its iPod lineup in several years, only bringing new colors to the line up. But with the recent release of iTunes 12.2, some images were found that indicating Apple is preparing to update the iPod line. Reported by Macrumors.com, one of their users found some images of the iPod series that hasn't been released by Apple shown on iTunes 12.2, when users were setting up or restoring an iPod in iTunes. Initially an image of a darker/deep blue for the iPod touch, a new gold or beige color for the iPod nano, and a brighter pink color for the iPod shuffle was found. That with some digging in iTunes 12.2 additional iPod images were found, indicating new color options of the iPods. In total 6 color options of the iPods were found, which are silver, space gray, red, bright pink, deep blue, and light gold, as shown below. Pink, blue, and gold are new color options that are currently not yet available. Some even say the space grey is darker than the existing one, but it is hard to determine from the image. Besides new color options, it seems there will be at least some minor external changes to the iPod Touch. In the image of a blue iPod Touch with a gold iPod nano, and a pink iPod Shuffle, we can see the back of the iPod Touch, and silver button on the lower left of the rear of the iPod Touch is missing, thus some speculate maybe the new iPod Touch will no longer have wrist loop. A comparison with the leaked new iPod Touch (above) and the current gen iPod Touch (below), which you can see the silver button for the wrist loop is missing on the new iPod Touch. Also since on these images the iPod Touch the Calendar icon were showing a date of Tuesday the 14th, some speculate maybe these new iPods will be announced on 14 July, which is 2 weeks from now. But since Apple usually announced new iPods in their music event in Sept, I have doubts with this speculation. http://www.macrumors.com/2015/07/01/ipods-colors-itunes-12-2/ http://www.macrumors.com/2015/07/01/color-lineup-for-upcoming-ipod-refresh/\ *update: as indicated by forum user @o0Martin, it seems the iPod Touch doesn't have Touch ID as well. Thx for indicating that....

So i'm replacing my old 3rd gen iPod touch with the newest one, and I want to move all the podcasts from the old one to the new one. Is there an easy way to do this or no?? All the podcasts have been downloaded via the iPod touch and not through Itunes. Cheers

Hi,i have an ipod touch 5th gen and am not sure if i should jailbreak it. The reason why i would want to jailbreak it, is to customize my ipod and to emulate systems like a snes or gba. Right now i have emulators on an old psp and it's a bit too big to keep in my pocket and feels a bit weird to play on it in public. I would like to know the disadvantages of jailbreaking and if i have anything to lose. I've never jailbroken any iOS device so this is all new to me but it looks fairly easy to do. Also my warranty is still on for another few months.

Hi guys, my 4th gen iPod Touch is running out of storage and I need a new one. I was thinking of getting the 64GB iPod Touch 5g. Are there any better alternatives?

http://www.redmondpie.com/ios-7-download-day-worldwide-release-time-chart/ I am personally delighted. 1 PM for me! I am excited for iOS 7 to showcase the future of Apple software, and I will update my iPhone 5 ASAP. The update is compatible with iPhones from iPhone 4 and up, iPod Touch 5th Gen ONLY, iPad 2 and up and iPad mini (of course.)

Hi everyone, first and foremost I want to say I am not a native speaker so sorry for any mistakes. I have an older iPod touch (gen. 3). I prefer it to my HTC One S, since it has better sound, but it lacks some "OOMPH", every sound is clear, but not very pronounced and not very deep. With this iPod I am using Beyerdynamic DTX101iE (in-ears). So I was thinking about getting something to enhance my audio experience. I stumbled upon the FiiO E11 but with the standard analog input it would, at least in my understanding, only allow me to drive higher impedance headphones and increase the volume range ?? So I thought about buying the L9 cable (apple-cable to aux), so the FiiO can increase my audio experience. Does this even make any sense ? The headphones are very nice, but I was also thinking about buying Custome One Pros, but with the lack of "OOMPH" I dont know if this is a good decision.

Linus is always going on about how the HTC One has terrible audio quality compared to the iPhone. Why is this and how big is the difference in reality? I was thinking of getting an iPod Touch 5g instead of using my phone to listen to music. Any thoughts?

Usually new iPod touch should release in Sept, but Apple didn't update their iPods last year. Thus it sparked some rumors that maybe Apple will soon kill the iPod lines. But now new rumors saying we will see new iPod Touches on the Mar. 9 event, or later. As some may called iPod Touch as "an iPhone Without the Phone", usually specs of iPod Touch similar to that of iphone, and it seems it will be the same this time. The new iPod Touch is rumored to have 2 models with different screen sizes, a 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch variants, just like the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. It may also have the A8 processor, 1GB of ram, and storage capacity up to 128GB (I found one source saying the new iPod Touch may even support micro sd card upgrade, and I highly doubt this possibility). Touch ID, better iSight camera, and iOS 8.1.3/ 8.2 are also rumored to be on this new iPod Touch. It also rumored to have more color options that the original six colors (red, blue, pink, silver, yellow, space grey) of the iPod Touch 5th gen. Some say it may even have a white and gold edition. The 16 GB iPod Touch is rumored to be around $250, while the 64 GB variant is rumored to be around $300. As for the release date, some say it may happpen in the March 9 event, while some say it will happen in spring 2015, and some say it may happen in Sept due to supply issues, similar to the rumored 12.9" iPad Pro. Lastly, remember these are just rumors, please take it with a grain of salt... IMO, I too agree to the Sept release date, as if the spec is that close to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. It looks like a good opportunity to release the new iPod Touch, as new gen of iPhones released, and the iPod Touch got upgraded with last gen iPhone's spec. And Sept is traditionally the time for Apple to held their music event, which traditionally announced their new ipods. The Sept-release date looks more reasonable to me. http://masterherald.com/apple-ipod-touch-6th-generation-may-be-launched-from-september-2015-onwards/12134/ http://masterherald.com/september-possibly-the-target-month-for-apple-ipod-touch-6th-generation-launch/10229/ http://www.christiantoday.com/article/ipod.touch.6g.release.date.rumors.lined.up/48982.htm http://www.ecumenicalnews.com/article/ipad-release-date-2015-apple-delays-production-on-larger-ipad-ipod-touch-6-nowhere-near-in-sight-28537 http://www.stableytimes.com/news/irunt-ipod-touch-6th-generation-due-release-date-plus-size-model/24466/
