Should I save 20€ on buying G.Skill Value instead of HyperX Fury RAM priced at 120€? 2x8GB DDR4-2133Mhz CL15, if that is of any matter.

Hi people, nice forum, newbie here. I got some money and I'm planning on finally replacing my very old pentium dual core. I basically need a cpu, mobo and memory and would like to get the best cheap performance/prize items. So I started picking the intel core i5-6500 but I'm kinda lost at choosing a mobo... I want to save some bucks but also don't want to have to replace it the next year or lose performance on my other components. So far i got this https://es.pcpartpicker.com/list/qPDVTH Also a friend is talking about buying 2 4gb instead of 1 8gb. Comments about the monitor are also appreciated :P. The goal would be playing online games (wow, overwatch...) at least mid-high quality. I have an nvidia geforce GTX 650 that it's gonna stay there at least one more year. Also no ssd.

Hello, im doing my first build and I have everything besides a processor, and i just need to check compatibly. So would Intel Core i7 Broadwell Quad-Core work with HyperX FURY ddr3 1866 ram? Here are the store pages for more information if you need it. Hey guys,I am going to buy M5A97 R2.0 motherboard and I would like to know if HyperX Fury 2x4 Gb 1600 Mhz Red are compatible with this MB? QVL list says nothing about this pair of memories...Thanks a lot

I currently have a Kingston Hyperx Fury 8gb 2133Mhz DDR4 and I'm planning on changing from Intel to Ryzen ( Ryzen 5 3600 ) by next month. A lot of people said that Ryzen takes advantage of extra mhz and thus higher fps can be obtained. What should I do? Should I just keep the 8gb 2133mhz and just add another stick of 8gb? Or do I need to buy a new 3000Mhz ram?

Hyperx Fury 8gb 2133mhz + Hyperx Fury 8gb 3200mhz. Will my system see this as dual channel? Will it work as a 16gb ram?

I currently have 1 stick of 8gb 2133mhz and plan on upgrading to 16gb by buying another stick of 8gb. However, I can't seem to find any shop that sells any ram with 2133mhz. They only have 2400+. Can I mix the other mhz with my 2133mhz ram?

Hello good day, I'm in a pickle right now as the item that I have ordered seem to be an entirely different model but the same type of DDR4 ram from Kingston. Here is the image of the item I bought, it is the same Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 4gb 2400MHZ which is on the left. The left one is the new model while the right is the one I owned which was an older model bought around 2017. I owned four of the old model which was on the right, the 4th one broke so I tried getting a new one. They gave me the one at the right which looks different. It WORKS by the way but for some reason. It is the only RAM detected by the entire system. No matter where I plug that RAM it only detects 1 ram which is the new one. It ignored the rest of the three rams I already owned. Things I tried: Set the bios settings to default auto.(It boots but still detects only 1 ram, the new one.) Tried cleaning all the dim and other three rams. (Nothing happened.) Tried to also updating my bios(Made it worst, it is the same but at least all four rams are detected in bios but no fixes still 4gb.) Tried switching from new ram to all the DIM slots, nothing changed. Tried using other motherboards, it still the same, no fix Also tried CMOS restart with jumper. No fix Last resort.... I reformat my entire PC. It got worst as now it only detects the new ram and ignore the other 3 rams, BUT they are detected at bios that all slots are in use. My last idea is that I get another one of the new ram so I have 2 new models, and 2 old ones. If I place the new one at the slot A1 and A2 for dual channel and the rest of the old ones at B1 and B2. Will this work? Please help me Covid-19 virus is making my life more difficult as I can't do work well. NOTE: The old ram btw are still Kingston HyperX Fury 4gb 2400MHZ and all of them are CL-15 as I thoroughly checked. I don't know why the old model doesn't pair with the old one despite them same clock speed , same model and same frequency. https://ibb.co/c8XcwyQ

New Skylake Build Planning! i5-6600k GTX 970
ItsJustJLGPro posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Okay, I've Never built a PC my self, ever! Me and My Friend will be building this Together. I've Decided on the i5-6600k over the i5-4690k as it was only £10 more and I can upgrade to a newer Skylake CPU later on. I Chose a 120gb SSD as a Boot Drive. The 240GB SSD is for the Games I play Frequently. The 2TB hard Drive is for Programs Like Photoshop, After Effects and Sony Vegas. I chose The GTX 970 Reference Card, yet I know it isnt as good as most of the 970's, Im Getting it as it will help match the color scheme of the build as it has the Green LED 'Geforce GTX' Logo, What would look amazing with the 'Heavily' Smoked Case window on The NZXT Designed By Razer S340. This is a Razer Themed Build if you didn't know that already. I will be getting Green/Black Cable Mod to Match the Build. I will put all Links for the Part List and Graphics Card Link. If you have anything to point out about the build, just tell me! I also need help on finding Monitors (I know this isn't what I'm suppose to talk about this in 'New Builds and Planning') But I want to find a decent monitor with slim bezels and good for gaming. I'm Going to need 3-4 of them (Reason for need of Slim Bezels) CPU Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor £199.99 Buy CPU Cooler NZXT Kraken X61 106.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler £100.12 Buy Motherboard MSI Z170A GAMING M3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard £122.03 Buy Memory Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory £59.60 Buy Storage Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive £37.52 Buy Kingston HyperX Fury 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive £59.99 Buy Western Digital BLACK SERIES 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive £102.95 Buy Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Video Card £299.99 Case NZXT S340 - Designed by Razer ATX Mid Tower Case £79.92 Buy Power Supply XFX XTR 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply £80.28 Buy Total: £1142.39 PCPartPicker UK Link: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/w3LQjX GTX 970 Link: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk-geforce-gtx-970-nvidia-970-cooler-edition-4096mb-gddr5-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-205-ok.html Cable Mod (Compatible for my PSU): https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cablemod-se-series-km3-xm2-xp2-3-fl2-xfx-cable-kit-black-green-cm-049-cm.html -

I recently overclocked my gaming rig's GPU, CPU and RAM. The GPU OC went fine... But when i pushed my i5 4690k to 4.5GHz @ 1.2V, and my RAM from 1866MHz to 2133MHz it got unstable. It worked fine with stress testing for a couple of hours but after restart now it crashes/freezes in prime95. Should i roll back the OC and see if it that works, and do anyone have recomendation of how many volts i should give my i5 ? Or is it just the RAM OC that fucked up. Sorry for bad english -Rmc

Hey everyone. After 12 years of getting stuck with laptops, I think I have finally decided to get a desktop computer. And actually, I want to build it myself. I consider myself as a good general tech-follower, but when it comes to GPUs and CPUs and chipsets etc. I was completely illiterate, until today. Now I think I generally know a bit of everything just enough to build a basic PC from scratch, because I have been reading and wathcing stuff for a very long time. So, if I cut to the chase, I decided to build a Skylake system and chose the main components. Here are the basic parts I want: CPU: i5 6600 or i7 6700 (No K, I do not want to overclock for now) Motherboard: ASUS Z170-A (https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z170-A/) Memory: DDR4 Kingston HyperX Fury Black 2666MHZ CL15 (2x18)16 GB (http://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX426C15FBK2_16.pdf) GPU: ZOTAC GTX950 AMP! 2 GB 128 Bit (https://www.zotac.com/tr/product/graphics_card/gtx-950-...) Case: Cooler Master Silencio 650 Pure (http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower/silencio650p...) PSU1: Seasonic M12II-620 EVO (http://seasonic.com/product/m12ii-620-evo/) PSU2: Corsair Builder VS550 (http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vs-seriestm-vs550-550-watt-power-supply) PSU3: Cooler Master G650M (http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/modular-gm-series/g650m/) I am not a hardcore gamer, nor an Adobe guy. I am a plain person who likes simplicity and a moderate user, though I love 1080p graphics (YouTube, online streaming etc.). I still play older games and have no enthusiasm about Call of Duty, Battlefield, Crysis, FarCry and such FPS games. Well, I like some of them, but they do not have to look ultimately stunning if I play them. On the contrary, I like SimCity, Star Wars KotOR, The Sims, Age of Empires HD, Red Alert and games alike. So they have to look and work perfect because I have been playing these games with low-moderate settings for so long. I also want to take the advantage of a new PC and buy some new games that I could not before. So you might ask, why i7 then? Because after 12 years of being a laptop user, I want to expand my vision on games that I was not able to play before and want my new PC to be long lasting as possible without changing the CPU and the MoBo (I am still using my 8 years-old beloved Sony VAIO, with a new SSD supplement though). I also want to compensate myself for all the years I have spent with older hardware. I am excited about a superfast PC like never before! Well, do you think the parts I chose are okay? I am still trying to decide if I need a CPU cooler should the stock fan is loud or not able to cool the CPU enough (is that possible?). Thank you very much in advance! I am sure you are bored of amateurs like me, but I need professional help?

I'm building my first PC and already have all the parts. When getting ready to assemble it, I decided to double check compatibility. Then I noticed my HiperX Fury 8*2 2133MHz memory kit (hx421C14FBK2/16) isn't listed as compatible with my ASUS X99-A USB 3.1, or their x99 series in general. Do you know if it will work out or do I have a problem in my hands now? My parts: CPU Intel I7 5820K Cooler Noctua nh-d15 Motherboard Asus X99-A 3.1 Memory 16gb HyperX Fury DDR4 Graphics Sapphire R9 390 Nitro Disc Drive 1 WD Black 4tb HD Disc Drive 2 SSD Samsung EVO 250gb SSD PSU Corsair AX1200i (overkill) Thanks in advance Asus x99 series compatibility link EDIT: The 2400MHz and 2600MHz models are listed, but mine isn't.

I recently got me a Kingston hyperx fury 8gb RAM module, hoping to replace my older 2gb stick and make better use of my 64 bit setup. However upon inserting the stick on my mother board windows crashes and my system gets stuck in a reboot loop. Curiously when I put in both sticks on my other 32 bit system, it works just fine [3. System specs: Win 7 ultimate x64 i3 540 processor DH55TC Motherboard GTX 750TI graphics card 450w PSU Tried running memtest86, but it crashes 10 seconds into the test. Is my RAM faulty or is it something else?

Hello there, I was upgrading my old PC's memory to 16GB. I was looking for Corsair Vengeance 1866. Corsair wasn't available and the local dealer advised to go for HyperX and there is no difference between vengeance and HyperX (He had HyperX in stock). Now the my system is not booting with HyperX. My old system has Asus P7H55-V. Please advise. PS: pcpartpicker.com say HyperX FURY is Compatible with H55 chipset. Screenshot attached. Thanks, Best Regards.

I was looking for a new mouse pad and stumbled upon these awesome deals at DirectCanada. HyperX Fury Medium (300mm x 360mm) - $8.90 CAD HyperX Fury Large (420mm x 500mm) - $13.06 CAD HyperX Fury XL (420mm x 900mm) - $21.95 CAD There is a small version available, but it's $12.98 CAD on DirectCanada, which isn't much of a deal. HyperX says these cloth pads are 3-4mm thick. Comes with a 2 year warranty and free technical support. I just got the Large by price matching it at Memory Express in person. This way I didn't have to pay DirectCanada for shipping. The deal may disappear at any time since DirectCanada's prices seem to be very volatile. Here's a picture:

Yesterday I overclocked (one of) my PC components for the first time, fiddling with sliders on GPU tweak isn't exactly an outstanding achievement I know but it's a big step up for me. Been building PCs since 2006 and never overclocked anything before. A combination of factors stopped me, not wanting to break anything or void any warranties was a big one and so was not being bothered to learn. My PCs always ran great and I never really had any incentive, I always bought components that could be overclocked though. Black or K edition CPUs and Motherboards with the option to OC as I always intended to overlock my parts with a "get around to it" mentality about learning how to do it. Even as it has gotten far easier over the years I still never did until yesterday. Well I benchmarked my GPU and got this result and I was pretty disappointed with it, so I read some guides and looked up some settings and results other people were getting and I spent some hours fiddling with the sliders and running Unigine Valley and Heaven and eventually got to the stage were it could run the benchmark without any driver errors and crashes to desktop (I was lucky enough to not get any bluescreens). After running the (demo) 3DMark benchmark again I got these results and after a little more fiddling and increasing the clock speed I finally my these were my results and I felt pretty pleased with the extra performance for "free" like Luke and Linus recommend and I want to do more but have no experience. So with the TL;DR about why I need help out the way I want to overclock my CPU and possibly the RAM, I know from guides that I don't do both at the same time as it makes problem solving and identifying the cause of any issues much more difficult. I know roughly what to do with my CPU but can someone help and list a brief step by step checklist and some settings they use or would recommend? I have a MSI Z97S Krait Edition motherboard, an Intel 4790K set with the motherboards "auto" stock settings and I have a big 280mm NZXT Kraken X61 all in one CPU cooler (which I chose mainly for aesthetic reasons) so cooling isn't much of a problem. The motherboard has "enhanced Turbo Boost" and all four cores can and do hit 4.4GHz boost at the same time, I would like to have the CPUs max speed to be the 4.4GHz it boosts to and also have the CPU boost upwards from that point if possible, not looking for a whopping peddle to floor kind of overclock but I do want to get more performance for "free" as its just there for me to use if done right. Then if its possible and worth doing I would like to see if I can overclock my Kingston HyperX Fury 4GB 1866MHz RAM as well. Edited for spelling.

Hey guys! I'm super new to overclocking. As the title states, I've never done it before or seen it done by anyone other than the stuff I've seen on YouTube (that's not real life). So, I went into my BIOS and tried overclocking based on what I've seen on the ASUS channel and what Linus could show me. I'm pretty sure I did everything right, but in CPU-Z I'm not seeing any changes. And it's showing my RAM at 980ish Mhz instead of 1866, which was how I set it in the UEFI. Maybe it's not the most reliable tool to be using to view my overclock changes?? Maybe I'm not doing something right?? Any help is always appreciated. Thanks! Happy New Year!!!

Hello all! I finished my new system not too long ago and I am slightly concerned about one little thing. My motherboard (a z77 from ASUS) is not supporting the XMP profile for my RAM (HyperX Fury). I swapped out that kit with an old 8GB kit from Corsair and the XMP was automatically selected for me. The problem with that is, my new RAM is a 16GB kit and it matches my system build. The FIRST thing I did was try updating the BIOS. So after flashing the BIOS (which went surprisingly fast) there was still no XMP selection in the UEFI. So of course, I checked the BIOS version to be sure the flash had actually worked. Sure enough it did. So am I outta luck here? Obviously my manual doesn't specifically state that this model of RAM is supported, but the RAM didn't exist when this board was manufactured either. And there is a lot of support for different types of Kingston RAM. I guess it's not the worst thing in the world to be stuck at 1333Mhz, you could argue that I may lose latency due to higher clock speeds, but any help is appreciated as always. Thanks! Have a nice day!

Hi, im about to buy the memories to my i7 4770 (non "K") CPU - Sabertooth z87 mobo build. I want to go for 4 x 8gb HyperX Fury memories, but idk if they should be 1600 or 1866 mhz. The sabertooth z87 specs says: "4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 1866/1600/1333 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory " But the i7 4770 specs says: Max Memory Size (dependent on memory type) 32 GB Memory Types DDR3-1333/1600 I sincerely don't know wich one would work, i don't want to buy 4 x 8 gb 1866 mhz just to realize they're not compatible. I was about to do it though, but fortunately i double checked. Thnx for reading, hope you can help me
