Issue: Friends computer screen suddenly went black (the screen is still on, and the monitor is getting signal, but nothing is happening). We took his GPU and installed it into my rig, and it initially posted, but ended up going black as well. I shut down the computer, and every time that I tried to boot, the screen would go black after motherboard screen appeared. The monitor is still getting signal on my rig as well, it just refuses to post once my BIOS has loaded. I have a custom keyboard, and the keyboards lights would initially turn on while the computer is turning on, but would turn off when the screen went black. My keyboard's lights only work when it is able to boot into windows / access the software on my computer. So with the keyboard's lights not turning on, it appears that the GPU is preventing windows from loading. Does anyone know what could be causing this issue with my friends GPU? I have the typical resolution issue, the thing is that windows drivers recognize my monitor as a Konka led tv and work properly at 1080p. Of course, for performance reasons, i prefer using amd drivers for my 5600g, the problem with this is that amd drivers wont recognize my monitor, it will set it as a generic monitor at 640x480 and not even RCU will help me. Something important to say is that with w10 i coud use amd drivers and force the monitor to 1080p runing perfectly. But my girlfriend accidentally updated to w11 and now i have this issue. What can i do? I can't find drivers online for this monitor neither. It's an RCA L24S9500 1080 60HZ Monitor and a 5600g igpu

A friend gifted me an MSI MAG B550M MORTAR MAX WIFI (China Version) + I recently bought Team Elite TForce Delta TUF 16GB 2x8 3200mhz. I need help with 2 questions I've got. 1. Do I need to get the drivers for the motherboard from MSI China website? 2. Will my RAM sticks work on this motherboard even when they don't show up in https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-B550M-MORTAR-MAX-WIFI/support#mem ? (I tried searching model number from the packaging/ram modules) Thank you for your help.

Need vBIOS for Dell XPS 15 7590 (GTX 1650)
BuffJesus posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
Device ID: 10DE 1F91-1028 0905 I've had this laptop for four years, and for the past two, it's GPU hadn't been working. I had blamed it on both GeForce Experience and probably the chip being fried. But turns out neither are the case, it's just a corrupted vBIOS. I'll attach a GPU-Z screenshot. Dell Support won't help, the shop is probably not gonna be any help either given the country I'm in, and I am really possessive about my laptop. So please, if someone who has an XPS 15 7590, check through GPU-Z if the Device ID matches, if so, please get in touch with me. I hope this community would be more receptive to my problem than the others have been -

Hi, I recently downloaded Starfield using PC gamepass and its been fun. However, my screen is constantly freezing, my audio is cutting out, and it overall is ruining the experience of the game. My in game settings are all set to the LOW preset, and I am normally getting ~145 FPS, until it freezing every other minute. My GPU is less than 70% load and ~50C, my CPU is ~70% usage and ~50C. I have 16GB of RAM and less than 11GB is being used. All of this info is gathered from MSI afterburner. Specs are as follows: R5 3600 3060ti FE Asus gaming B550-a 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz Crucial Balstix 850W PSU Corsair 240mm AIO I really would love to play this game without the annoying stopping and audio cutting out. Any ideas?

Budget (including currency): £2300 Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming & Music Production & Work Other details Tomorrow is payday for me, it also happens to be Black Friday and I’ve noticed there’s a few discounts on some of the items in my pcpartpicker build. I’ve researched as best as I can, but sometimes it’s best to get people with more experience than myself to advise whether the parts I’ve chosen are any good (its been more than 10 years since I built a pc). I already purchased my 4090fe, I have a g8 OLED and all the peripherals like mouse and keyboard, it’s just all the other components I need. I’ll be using it for 4k gaming with as high fps as I can get, will also be doing music production, which is a hobby, not anything professional, but I do use a lot of plugins on ableton. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/xZzTPF Any advice would be great

Hello, i need urgent help with this, No matter how hard I try to install Ubuntu Server 22.04.3 LTS on my Lenovo ThinkCentre M72e Tiny it always ends in the same result, after about 30 attempts i have given up, I get to the point of rebooting without issues but after that the system starts into network boot mode, and then throws Error No Operating System Found. I have ensure that the install media was removed, I switch from Legacy To UEFI (and back) I tried different SATA modes, but to no avail, I tried using a diffrent USB installer, I tried not using Ventoy, I tried everything, even Different ISO's (From Ubuntu Directly) and still the same result, No Operating System Found, I really didn't expect to run into this as a issue but now it has completly stalled my progress on my home lab setup, any ideas. I did try to update the bios considering its still on the 2012 release of it not the newest 2012, but people said it wouldn't make a diffrence and it kept erroring out and i don't want to brick it, so if someone knows how to flash via usb without anything internal to boot of like windows, i would aprricate knowing that as a final resort. Any help is appricated.

I recently replaced the battery and it worked fine for the first day. I accidentally left it running before going to work last night and it died completely. Now it will not hold a charge. It turns on when plugged in but immediately turns off when unplugged. I updated all drivers and quality of life updates for Windows 10, I held down the battery reset button on the back of the laptop and unplugged the battery then held down the power button and reconnected the battery. The charging indicator doesn't turn on either.

help! Help me with my Sony TV and Sony home theatre setup
Aditya_cross posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hi LTT folks, Please help me setup my home theatre with my TV. TV model - Sony X90K 65inch Home Theatre Model - DAV-DZ790K Current setup is :- Apple TV connected to TV in HDMI 4 port Home theatre connected to TV in HDMI 2 port and for sound since my home theatre does not support ARC) I have connected both with an optical cable (TV does not have RCA out). The problem is that when I restart my tv and Apple TV, everything turns on at once. Like my TV, Apple TV and home theatre all turn on at the same time. But after a few seconds, my tv shows an error that it cannot connect to the home theatre so l have to reconnect the Hdmi again just to make it work again. Adding on, I cannot use 5.1 using optical cable so if there is a way to use 5.1 with this home theatre and this tv then it would be really good for me. Losing out on surround sound is not the best. -

And there is also times where I experience lag by only just playing on youtube some videos. I've tried replacing my cpu cooler to see if my cpu is overheating from working on premiere pro and after effects but after replacing my stock amd cooler the problem still happens but the temps are better now. What could be the problem of it? Is it a hardware failing?

Hi everyone! I have this Windows 10 tablet and currently all the hardware works (like the touchscreen and stuff) but the Windows installation is very broken so I'd like to do a completely fresh install. Is there a way to export the current drivers and reinstall them in the clean Windows install? I can't find them online and haven't had luck with Windows installing them automatically. If I need to post this somewhere else or do anything differently please do let me know as I'm new here I'd also have no problem with trying a Linux distro that could be good for tablets/touchscreens but would like to make sure I have windows as an option before that Thanks for reading and any help you may offer

Ok so a couple of weeks ago I walked away from pc for like 10 minutes and came back and all of my monitors were strobing, I restarted pc and everything was fine. A couple of days later I was watching YouTube and all of my monitors went black, pc did not restart or anything, all of my rgb was still on but I noticed that my gpu was no longer synced and had gone back to the default rainbow. This ended up getting fixed by clearing the cmos which I'm unsure as to why that fixed it when the only thing I do in bios is enable expo. This same thing happened a few more times with the same fix and then yesterday my monitors strobed again, I restarted pc and everything was fine for a few minutes then the pc restarted itself and got stuck on the reboot with the green debug led which I looked up and that means that it can't find the boot device? this was also fixed by clearing cmos and now it has rebooted itself again but gotten stuck on the white debug led, I havent tried a cmos clear yet because I hadn't changed anything in bios this time just left everything default to try and see if expo was somehow causing these problems. This is all very stressful because I saved up for awhile to get my dream pc and can hardly use it. Any help would be much appreciated. I will post pc specs below in case it can help anyone tell me what's wrong. Specs: Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming x670e Plus Wifi Graphics Card: Asus TUF Gaming RTX 4090 CPU: Ryzen 9 7950x PSU: SeaSonic PRIME TX-1000 1000W 80+ Titanium RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-5600 CL28 Memory

Ok, so this is the rundown. A while back I was working on a build and the comments said it might be the power supply that wasn't working. Now that I have a new one same result. Nothing powers on. I don't know if the motherboard is dead or the CPU got damaged idk. But the only time the motherboard did work was when I turned it on once and for a split second, the fans worked. Idk if that helps to help find the answer. Im about to go off to college soon and I really need this custom build fixed. Below is the build I bought(including the new power supply I changed) https://pcpartpicker.com/user/DannyV./saved/3wpMFT

This is going to be a lengthy post, so bear with me. On may 9th i ordered parts for a new computer, all the parts arrived May 12th. This means i am now outside the Amazon return window. The parts i ordered are a Ryzen 7950X3D, ASUS Tuf Gaming B650 Plus WiFi, Zotac Gaming RTX 3060ti OC, and G.Skill Flare X5 Series (AMD Expo) 32GB RAM. Here comes the part where I am absolutely stumped and i have no clue what to do. I recently have been getting random BSOD's on this system, i am running Windows 10, but stripped down using Atlas OS (I'm going to wipe and go back to normal windows), most of the time it's a NTFS.sys blue screen, other times it's been a different .sys but that at the time i didn't mark it down. Just today, the day smack after the return window closed, my system poofed. I was chilling watching YouTube with Fan Control testing fans in the background, the system poofed as in the screens went black, all RGB was gone, pressing the power button flashed RGB, even the RGB that lights up when the system has power (eg when psu on or system shut down) was off. I unplugged the PSU, waited, plugged it back in, system did not post but board stayed powered, error Lights on my Mobo showed a CPU problem. I unseated the CPU to check for damage, i found 2 bent Mobo CPU pins which i am 100% sure were not like that when i installed the CPU. On the bottom of the CPU there were darker patches but didn't look like it was burnt as per the recent or past 7950x3D problems. I did notice carbon scoring, or at last making on the contact pads in clusters in isolated areas, dunno if this is normal. I saw the bent pins and decided to stick the CPU back in, because why not, maybe it will work for some reason. and sure enough it booted to windows, but took a bit and kept throwing random error codes, went in a order similar to this: DRAM (normal post behavior to flash dram light)>CPU>VGA>CPU>VGA>BOOT. Note that after this happened all my bios settings reset. I'm not really sure what to do at this point because it is too late to return it all to Amazon, and it's really frustrating how unstable it is, espically how the main problems started the day after i can no longer return them. Thanks for the read, apologies this was a bit of a rant, any help would be appreciated. Things to note. My OS is on a 1tb SSD I have a Sabrent Rocket 2.0 M.2 drive mainly for games. 600watt PSU EDIT: i have 2 PSU's one is an EVGA 600 B, the one currently in my system is a Rosewill HIVE 750S Bios: TUF GAMING B650-PLUS BIOS 1601 (not stock) ---newer more stable version available, i will flash it tomorrow when i get a chance. Using AMD Expo 1 to get full speed out of my ram (system by default had the ram at 4200mhz instead of the supported 6000mhz), other options for AMD Expo are available in bios

Ok, I am at somewhat of a loss. For the last week or so, my computer has been getting horrible internet connection both wirelessly and connected to ethernet, around the 20 Mbps range. Every other device that I own gets the proper speeds when connected to the same network via the same ethernet cable, around 250-300 Mbps download. What is strange to me though, is that when I run an ookla speedtest instead of the google one, it shows the proper speeds I should get on my personal pc, around 200-300 Mbps. The performance of my games and streams makes me believe the google speedtest is accurate, but I can't for the life of me get the download speed up. I have done every manner of driver reinstall and hardware check, to no avail. Contacted my ISP to ensure my modem and router hardware was not the issue, and they are not. Did a thorough virus scan and cleaned up every drive on my pc, to no avail. I've exhausted every option a quick google search will net me, to no avail. I have a wifi card installed as well, I removed that to see if speeds would change and they did not. At this point, I feel my only options are to do a windows reinstall or factory reset. Please help XD

Hi! I just tried to install the Cyberpunk 1.1 patch, but it wont let me. It says "not enough disk space" The SSD its running off of has over 30GB free on it, and the patch is only 5.5GB. However, when I go to Steam download manager, it says something about it being 50GB+.... I even tried moving cyberpunk to my 2TB HDD, but it wont let me move it unless I update the game, which I cant. Any help is appreciated!
