My pc sometimes freezes and i tried to fix it in many ways but none helped. A few days ago i changed some settings and it seemed to work for some time but it freezed again today. I think the problem is the lamp i have plugged into my pc. When i turn my pc off the lamp still is on, i can turn it off and back on as many times as i want. I think the power drawn from it interfears with the components and so freezes the pc even tho i have a 850w psu. Is this the problem or do i need to search furder.

Hi, I'm enjoying gaming.., 1 hour later when I turn on my pc again, my gpu makes constant high pitch noise and doesn't give output. I've replaced gpu, pc boots just fine. I've put 'faulty' gpu to other pc and the same problem (noise and no output). After pc power on, gpu fans spin once and then they stop and gpu chip does not heat up at all. For a year was working fine (with driver crashes in some games) GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 270x 2GB Toxic Primary PC: R7 3700x; Corsair rm750x, 16gb ram hyperx, b450 steel legend mobo; Secondary PC: Intel quad q6400, evga 600w, 4gb ddr2 Is my gpu dead?

I know "a member with ONE post?!.." but hear me oot.. heh.. out, I've not have a problem I couldn't solve myself like this before, and need serious professional help; My computer has failed to basically work, so; >It started appearing to that when I played games (first at random), to crash. Not Windows (like BSODing or such), just - crash. The computer after crashing seemed to not reboot, but manual reset via case reset button restarted the computer after which it usually took hours or a day or so before it again crashed, this happened during some games(1) but not other games(2), at time I thus assumed it was an issue caused by software errors and ignored it, avoiding games that let to crashes. But a few days ago my computer started to crash during Star Citizen, annoyingly I then started up a simpler game on Steam called "911 Operator", (simpler, performance-wise I mean), this time when playing the computer crashed, and stayed,, well, nonfunctional by most standards, I was able to start win10 and log in, taking a few minutes before a crash occured, after this I only managed to run using the safe boot. I did do a sfc/ scannow but I didn't get a good look at the result though I think It said issues was found and resolved, but alas the issue was still not "resolved".. I then opted to reset win10, didn't help, so I copied what I wanted to keep from the C drive (whole SSD) and finally opted to do a clean install of Win10 (from a USB stick) But this didn't fix any issues either, no, I've tried at least twice, once on the main SSD, and the second time on the secondary SSD, failed both times, and on the latter try it even crashed during the latter phase of the install, the "getting things ready" part of win10 install, so at least that indicates (in my mind) that it isn't likely to be the storage units/SSDs.. What could it be then?.. The PSU? I'm "TBD" on that one, though when in BIOS/UEFI the voltage outputs are within normal, (0,0x to 0,xx V below the output voltages) The CPU? Possibly, though I am not sure how to really test to find out if it is the culprit, I have done stress testing using the included stuff in UBCD, though to tell you for sure which tests I did, I'd have to do those tests again, the tests failed within minutes though.. The motherboard? I don't even got a clue as how to test that one really.. The RAM sticks? Again, not sure, as when I tried memtest they both failed, the first time I had both sticks running the test, it got though all the tests but crashed on the second round at test10, so then I ran only one stick, failed the first time on the test10, but if I ran a couple of tests at the time (1-4, 5-8, 9-13) no crash, not even at test 10.. again though, crashed when all tests was selected to be ran. And oh, the second stick also failed on its own, I do believe it was even faster than the first stick, at like test 3,4 or 5 on a first run though.. Some HW specs; CPU: AMD Zen1 Ryzen 7 1700 RAM: Corsair DDR4 3200MHz 8GB x2(two sticks) Motherboard: Asus asrock B350-plus The main SSD is Samsung 960 Evo (connected to motherboard via M.2 and is 250GB sized), the graphics card is an AMD 380 4GB PSU is a Corsair.. something (650watt) I'll update this when I've gotten a better look at the PSU label. Everything except for the graphics card was bought at the same time (and built), about.. the first few months after AMD released the Zen1 CPUs. Well, I don't really know what more to say, if I can think of more to describe (if I forgotten anything) I'll add it and post it (If I can remember what I don't know I've forgotten.. lol) I feel like I don't wanna get too "wordy", so Do feel free to ask questions and suggestions for what I should and/or could Do to try finding out what component isn't working. At my disposal I don't have spare hardware, but have a laptop for which I can manage/make boot drives on (for USB sticks), I also have UBCD already on a stick, so If you are familiar with ubcd and could point me toward a particular test or so, please do let me know,.. And oh, the bios/UEFI works, as the computer gets that started and the UEFI bios menu works fine.

Hello I am having trouble with my GPU, I am getting Artifacting sometimes on windows while booting, or even just watching YouTube video. The gpu reaches 100% usage whenever there is a tab opened. And at times it will stop displaying video until I restart the system. I've: Reapplied thermal paste, cleaned the card a bit with rubbing alcohol, reinstalled drivers (they used to say error 43 but recently not) I've reinstalled windows (had some wonky windows issues too when I just transfered m.2) There are repair shops nearby that I am thinking of going to and try to call.

So I managed to get my hands on an ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 3080 v2 OC that is now making a weird vibrating sound after only two days in use. The sound is very similar to a mobile phone vibrating on your desk when receiving a message, just a lot more violent. It seems to appear only AFTER there was a lot of load on the GPU. I am almost certain that it is not coil whine since the sound is pretty deep and as I said only appears after there was load on the GPU. I would really appreciate some help on wether this is supposed to happen in the first few days of use or not. Here are my other system specs in case you need them: CPU - i7 11700KF cooled by a corsair icue h150i elite capellix AIO RAM - Corsair Vengerance 32gb 3200mhz cl16 Memory GPU - ASUS ROG strix 3080 v2 OC LHR MB - ASUS ROG strix z590 A gaming wifi PSU - Bequiet Straight Power 11 Platinum 850watts I attached a video of the sound (phone did a poor job of capturing the sound so it's pretty quiet on video). 20210830_132553_002.mp4

So I got quite a good one here that no one was able to solve yet. -Asus Tuf 3070 ti OC GPU -X570-A pro motherboard -Ryzen 7 3800x CPU -2x8gb 3200 Corsair vengeance RAM -700W 56A PSU Problem: When browsing, playing games I get a black screen and the sound gets stuck and plays on a loop for 2-3 seconds and then the PC restarts itself. Also the monitor doesn’t turn off, it just gets no signal. Solutions I got that doesn’t work: -overheating Since the CPU is a 105W, I got a tower cooler that could support up to 130W. My old GTX 1660 sometimes got up to 80-90C degrees, so I changed to an RTX 3070 ti. ; Now I can hardly get the CPU up to 70 degrees, and the GPU is around 60 degrees when playing games. With HWinfo monitoring noting is overheating at all. -Faulty PSU Some people thought that my PSU was faulty, so I bought a brand new one. Problem keeps happening. ------------------------------------------- Some things I noticed that could help to diagnose the problem: -When the PC starts to restart itself, the EZ Debug light lights up the CPU led. -The PC restarts randomly, even when just browsing the web. I was even able to run multiple benchmarks without it restarting. -The CPU could be the problem since the EZ Debug light lights up the CPU led, but I ran Cinebench where it preformed very good without overheating. (I ran single, multiple core tests, stability test too and it never restarted and the temps and scores were good.) -When the PC restarts, it doesn't lose power. So even when its restarting all the leds and rgbs stay on. (Coolers, GPU, tower cooler) Only the keyboard lights turn off (and on) and the monitor loses signal. -After it restarts I have to log in again and since it's a full restart I have to open the programs again. If there's any more question you want to ask, or any test you want me to run please please ask me. I'm happy if anyone tries to help, the PC service couldn't, so this is my last option.

Hey Tech Tippers, I recently replaced some parts in my computer, my fried GPU (to an Nvidia 2060), my CPU (to a ryzen 5600) and my ram sticks (from 8 gb to 32 gb). I had no issues with the installation of the new parts, but when I went to test my computer, I've come to find that my HDMI ports and USB ports don't work, but it seems all my parts are working fine (fans are spinning and lights are on). I've looked everywhere online for people who had experienced this same problem, but no solutions they had listed worked for me (and most searches resulted in people having trouble with their USB to HDMI adapters) So, I would like to know if anyone else had experienced this same problem after installing new parts into their computer, and what you've done to fix it. Should it help at all, I bought this computer 4 years ago as a CYBERPOWER PC pre-built (I know, terrible idea) and its specs for all this time have been: An AMD RX 560, a ryzen 2300X, 1 stick of DDR4 memory, and I couldn't tell you the Motherboard or PSU off the top of my head. Thanks if you can help at all.

So, like the title says, some times my screen flashes green or just "turn off" like there's no signal, the audio stops, but whatever is running keeps running just fine, in fact, if i'm using a headphone the audio continues as normal. I dont see a pattern to what causes this, i was playing Tarkov just fine today and no problems, but just now the problem happened when i was watching a youtube video. This time tho, it wasn't a flash, it just got disconected, and wouldn't turn back on, the monitor was fine, just looked like it lost the PC's signal, i restarted the PC and now seems to be fine, no lasting problems. Don't have any screenshots or pictures, since i cant reproduce the problem. Not sure if this helps, but this monitor is old and i just spoted 2 dead pixels last month. I'm trying to sort out if this is a monitor problem or a GPU problem, i saw this behavior on a older GT420 i had on the same monitor, but never saw it flashing green, so not sure. Im using a Ryzen 5 4600G IGPU with 16gb ram and a A320 Motherboard Thanks for the help in advance.

I bought a new pc and recently I've been having some problems with lag and stutter, it really got worse these past few weeks and basically it works like this: I am minding my business and/or gaming and when I try to alt tab or open task manager EVERYTHING lags and stutters to the point of being unusable, after opening the windows error message logs I saw the following messages: Hardware Failure, LiveKernelEvent 141. Some people said it could be a driver problem, but older drivers don't make a difference, in fact, sometimes it seems they make it worse. Hello, me and my friend are currently building a PC.We have but all the parts together, and the thing won't start. When I power on the PSU, nothing happens, then when I jiggle around the atx power cable, the motherboard lights up, and starts the CPU fan, then the dram led on the ez debug goes on, and we go from there..I have tried the following:Booting with only the motherboard, PSU and CPU in. Same thing happens.Tried to move the ram around, no change what so ever.Tried another psu, the thing can't really start, the atx power cable needs to be pressed in pretty hard before it goes on, and then the same happens..Specs:MSI H270M BAZOOKAAMD RX 580 pulseIntel i7Corsair vs550Stock cooling.Cooler master mastercase maker 5

I had installed a voice changer that I got bored and annoyed of so I decided to uninstall it. After some time, it had somehow screwed up my settings and now it sounds like I'm blowing into the mic. I knew it wasn't the mic itself because I tested my mic and it sounded like my voice was deeper and was robotic like in the settings, I have tried reinstalling my drivers but it doesn't seem to work. Has anybody every experienced this problem? If so, do you know how to fix it? The voice changer I installed was ClownFish Voice Changer Thanks

So for the past few months I've been having horrible lag spikes while playing any game on my relatively new pc (built august 2018), sometimes it would freeze for a few seconds then continue on, Sometimes it would hard lock and sometimes it would bluescreen. I've been working to figure out what is causing this and I've found what has been causing it but I don't exactly know WHY its doing this, My ssd AND hdd (Depending on where the game is located) pin themselves at 100% usage as these freezes happen. Ive done all of the following to no avail (some of them were before I knew it was the ssd/hdd): -Disabled all antivirus -Disabled windows search and superfetch -Updated literally all of my drivers -Disabled all overclocks (only gpu) -Reseated ram -Made sure thermals were fine -Ran CrystalDiskInfo, Hard disk Sentinel and Western Digital's bad drive checker (Hard drive manufacturer) all came back clear and clean -Ran chkdsk /f /r and /x came back clear And probably a ton of other stuff i cant think of right now The ONLY thing I've been able to get back is 45k+ errors in the past 24 hours (all with the description of "The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR1, has a bad block.") coming from my hard drive through EventViewer but I have been told that eventviewer can be unreliable, especially considering I ran CrystalDiskInfo, Hard disk Sentinel and Western Digital's bad drive checker and they all came up clean Im at a complete loss of what to do now, so im posting this on every forum I can think of to hopefully get some help

GPU RGB lights flickering in red and then the lights just restart on its default light. It only happens when the GPU is on load I bought this recently from another guy who said the card was only used for graphic designing and barely used, and I kinda believed him because the card never really goes above 60c It's a Palit Gtx 1070 Super Jetstream, it's currently installed on my old system it's an old i5-3470 with 16gb of ram (i know, huge bottleneck but will change this soon) Is it possible that the cause of the problem is PSU related? My PSU is a seasonic 520II it's 3yrs old and has a really bad coil whine. ticking noise. I can play games just fine though.

CPU: Intel Core i5 7500 GPU: GTX 1060 6GB RAM: 8GB SSD & HDD Thanks for taking the time to look at this post. Any help is much appreciated. I've had this PC for nearly a year now, just recently it won't boot. As you can see in the video I attached, it starts up, gives power to the mouse and keyboard, and goes stagnant with no progress of booting up whatsoever. What usually happens is that once the keyboard lights green and fades, the green light turns back on and the mouse's red light turns green as well. The monitor would then display the booting process until it eventually succeeds. The fans are spinning (if not noticeable in the video) and there is no beep sound to be heard. I've tried plugging the hdmi cable of the monitor directly to the motherboard instead of the gpu, same results. The monitor also seems to be working fine. video-1540823922.mp4

I have RX 480 8GB by XFX, it has served me well for a couple of years. A few days ago it shut down, screen froze up and each restart of the computer it froze at a sooner interval, until I decided to take it out and see what the problem was. I unseated the heatsink, took the graphics card apart, and cleaned it thoroughly with 99% isoalco and a soft cosmetic sponge, there was some grease that came from the thermal pads that was sticky and got onto a small chip and all over the busses around it. I cleaned that up and wondered if it was causing a short because the graphics card operations seemed to continue only the image was being repeated (right??). I also removed the thermal paste that overflowed around the main chip and touched parts around it. I re-applied thermal paste. Upon today, I have re-ordered a new thermal paste that is carbon-based and therefore not electrically conductive. I heard good silver paste is bad for it, but also if applied well should be fine. Regardless I ordered new thermal paste and plan to reinstall the heatsink. This solved my problem, after letting the card sit out for a day or so. The card now runs without freezing, but a strange artifacting is now happening. Very light artifacting, tiny trails of mostly blue pixels in dark corners of windows and such, flickering lightly. I haven't tested any games. I had a series of procedures to go through, but one of my first was downgrading AMD's drivers from 20.?.?? something to 19.?.? something, the lowest available. AND VOILA! The artifacting was almost gone, until I looked closer, and noticed artifacting I had noticed months ago but paid no attention to because it was so harmless. The AMD software window itself, one specific menu where streaming is displayed and a screen is shown saying offline. That whole screen is artifacting with the blue pixels. This was something I had noticed months ago and just thought it was AMD's poor driver development as I've always had problems with them. Then I looked closer and noticed still tiny blue pixels in the same spots on the AMD window, but virtually nowhere else to be found visually except in AMD's software window. I don't know for how long this has been occurring, but I plan to at least change the thermal paste while operating the Vram on a slightly lowered max frequency for work. I also ordered a DMM for further testing. I am afraid to open up a video game, at the current moment. I also no did not ESP while repairing the card, but it sat out on a desk for a while and my feet were on the floor and I already touched many things before working on it so the magical "zapping the v-ram" explanation always sounds ridiculous to me that a card can maintain 200+ degrees farenheit operating but magical touch magic can destroy the ram permanently. What sounds to be the problem, officers? Further hardware issue? Any troubleshooting ideas? BIOS re-installing? Was it the grease? Is it the thermal paste? Is this issue something nebulous caused by having a pre-owned card? Down-clocking the card max frequency and max frequency in V-ram in AMD Radeon software did nothing to change the artifacting. I expected the change to be immediate, but nothing happened. Did this not work properly? I have read often online down-clocking was supposed to disable artifacting almost guaranteed.

Hey there (so this is a repost because noone could help me and the threat has gone silent. link to the original post: Link) so ive been struggling with this problem for about 2 months and didnt find a way to fix it. its kind of hard to discribe but i hope youll understand. please excuse any mistakte to to the fact that english is not my native tongue. ever since i reinstalled my win 10 (c drive reformated etc.) ive got a problem with my pc (didnt have it before). when i first start the pc everything is working flawlessly. all the games are running as they should. but after some time (and closing whatever game i had open before) and open another or the same game my pc is having insane "inputlags". This can also occure after tabing out of a game. In Arma 3 that means that my character keeps running for 2-30 meters after i released whatever key i had pressed. in Overwatch however it makes every action i made but with a delay of about 20sec. the only game that is not affected by this is League of Legends (no clue why). after a restart of my pc everything works again until... - well until the loop start over again.... i dont really wanna reformat my c drive again because that would mean that i would loose my office licence (its only for 1 pc) and i would need to buy a new one. what ive tried so far: disabling DVR via registry disabling fast reboot disabling shadowplay (or whatever its called now) reinstalling nvidia drivers and geforce experience Trying old nvidia drivers setting powermode to high reinstalling whatever game that problem occurres in disabling cortana via registry temperatures of cpu, gpu and ram are normal SSD or HDD doesnt matter i think ive tried some other things but i cant remember them right now hardware: see attached picture heres a short clip of the problem recorded with my phone. yes i know my table is messy right now but im replugging everything to find out if its a problem with any of my devices (but doesnt seem like it). and please dont kill me for not recording in landscape mode but you wouldnt be able to see both my mouse/keyboard and screen at the same time. https://youtu.be/Qht8O6-K6Oo

Sooo long story short, my pc died while I'm playing a game. After trial and error we figure put its the gpu, so I replace the gpu with a 1060gtx and get a new motherboard. With both those installed; I turn it on and the computer, fans spin lights light up, and it immediately turns off. After trying many things I currently have the motherboard out with only the CPU, heat syn, and RAM installed; along with the 20 pin, cpu 8 pin, and the cord from the case for the power button plugged into the motherboard, only for the same thing to happen. Specs CPU - i7 6700 Heat synch - stock intel (with the annoying push pins) Power supply - 650w sliver Motherboard - Z370 Aoruos gaming wifi gaming motherboard [LGA 1151] OS - windows 10 64 bit =-= These parts are not plugged in =-= GPU - GTX 1060 gigabyte Fans - just 2 case fans Hard drive - 1T Anything else you wise people need to know just ask me and Ill tell you what I can

Hello Everyone, To preface, this is my build: CPU__________AMD FX 8350 CPU Cooler ____Stock AMD Cooler RAM _________Kingston khx1333c9d3b1/4g DDR3 2x4GB 1333mhz Motherboard___Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 rev 1.3 Storage_______1 TB Hard drive (OS windows 10) + 500 GB Hard drive Video Card ____Nvidia 9800 GT 1GB ddr3 PSU Before____550W Cooler Master RS-550-PCAR-E3 PSU now______430W Corsair CX series Case_________Old NZXT case (no cooling issues as it has 4 120mm fans at the left side, right on top of the motherboard, 2 120mm fans behind, 1 120mm in the front and 1 80mm at the top) Problem: After replacing my PSU, and plugging everything correctly (except the video card that is powered by a molex, by mistake), I got no video output but the fans, lights, hard drives and optical unit turns on. When turning off and subsequently turning on again (still without the video card molex power) there's video and windows 10 boot up to asking my password, then video fails. Turned off and saw the video card was without power, plugged it in turned on aaand "I got no video output but the fans, lights, hard drives and optical unit turns on". A little bit of the history of the system: It belonged to a friend. Around a year or two ago he disassembled and stored it because his video card had gone bad and he had a good gaming notebook and didn't want the hassle of fixing things. So I got it from him to fix and keep the working parts. I assembled everything (with an old, working, nvidia 9800gt) and got the no post/no video problem. I solved it by getting everything out of the motherboard (including the cpu) and turned it on, then off and placing everything back on. Video was fine, everything was fine and I got windows 10 on it. Got a BSOD (irql_not_less_or_equal) possibly associated with the ram, thought it was a bios problem and noted that the bios version it was using was not compatible with my cpu (AMD FX8350) (do not remember witch it was, but I think my friend never updated it as he had no problems, even with the not supported cpu. Following the rule "not broken, don't fix"). Before I could update the bios the PSU failed (the system was off, as I went to work. When a got home nothing would turn on, unplugged everything and paperclipped the green and black wires and not even PSU fan turned on. Ordered a PSU and when it arrived, I did the procedure in the beginning of the post. In all this time, I've never managed to make the speaker beep (tried with three different speakers). Even when the system works or no component (no ram nor cpu) is present it does not beep. The only thing that I know that can cause problems is that my CPU is not supported by the BIOS revision installed on my motherboard but could be if I manage to update the bios. Should not be a problem though, as the system worked fine for a couple of days, and my friend used it before with no problems. What I've already done: -Tried using hdmi and vga cables. The cables are fine and the monitor is also fine, as they work with my notebook. -Removed everything, like the first solution, and nothing. -Removed motherboard battery. -CMOS reset by shorting the "Clear CMOS Jumper" of the motherboard -Tested both RAM sticks separately in each slot. -Tested video card in the other pci-e slot. -Took out the case reset switch -Removed the motherboard from the case and did everything again. I'm almost giving up, but I would like to try another CPU to see if the problem is incompatibility with motherboard/CPU because of the old bios version. My concern is if I can damage the other CPU (FX6300) if the motherboard has really gone bad. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm new in Japan and I don't know any place so I want to ask here just incase someone got a golden answer that will save me. My laptop is a sony vaio tab 11 and accidentally cracked the screen along with some small seems like hardware problems here and there. I could've ignored the crack but unfortunately that crack messes with the touch screen of this laptop, rendering it unsuable. I want to ask if there a place that I can bring it to in tokyo and fix it or I will need to send this back to Vietnam (where I brought this) to get this laptop fixed. Thanks

I can't shut down or restart my Laptop. Every time I do that, the windows OS will get extremely laggy at the point you can't do anything on it. Ex: You'll have to wait 30 min for the Laptop to fully boot. The only solution I know too fix this temporarily is to reformat. But I can't restart or shut down or it will happen again. And because of accidentally restarting it. I've already reformat it like 3 times so I gave up using it. Instead, I boot Ubuntu on a USB stick. The OS didn't damaged after I restart or Shut down. So my question is what is the problem here? Motherboard's broken? Hard disk's broken? I was thinking that It's because of the Hard disk but I'm too afraid too buy new one. Please help and Thank You

I couldn't find a thread relating to this problem so I decided to create one myself. My problem is quite unique compared to others. So, the problem is I have a NETGEAR WNA3100 N300 Wireless USB Adapter and it randomly drops me from my network when I have a full bar connection. But it doesn't just drop me, it says I have limited access. It sometimes happens when I am downloading something or that I'm just doing nothing at all. The device was getting pretty hot when this happened so I though it was just overheating, but to my knowledge, that wasn't the case. This next part is where I get confused and I'm hoping someone can enlighten me on what is happening. When this problem occurs, I can't do anything to fix it but hold the power button for 5 seconds and power the computer back up. I have tried going into my network connections and disabling my Wireless Network Connection and re-enabling it but when it goes to enable it, it will say enabling is a small little window and will stay there forever and never enable. When its trying to enable there is no stopping it, you cannot end task to end the process of it, it is stuck like that until I shut off my computer. Another thing I have tried is just simply unplugging the device and plugging it back in, but when I unplug it, it still says that that the device is still plugged in, that I have excellent connection, and that I still have limited access to the network. When I plug it back in, nothing happens, just back to where I started. There is one other thing that is weird is when I go to the Start Menu and choose Shut Down, Restart, or Sleep, they all try and turn the computer off but fail to do so resulting in an endless loading screen of "Windows is shutting down" or the sleep option is just a black screen but my computer never goes to sleep. All these options work properly if this problem with my USB adapter isn't occurring. So the only solution to when this happens is to hold my power button until my computer shuts off and power it back up. I have tried buying multiple new USB adapters, and they have all done the same thing, ruling out the chances of it being this adapter. This problem just started happening a few months ago and I have finally taken action to ask in a forum after so long. There were no changes in hardware, at the time or no new software downloaded, it just randomly started happening. This problem randomly occurs throughout the week, sometimes 1-3 times a day. If someone has a solution I will be very grateful. I'm am more leaning towards a motherboard or OS problem but I wanted to ask people who know what they are doing. Also this is my fist time creating a thread so feel free to tell me if I'm doing anything wrong and sorry for the formatting of the sentences, English is one of my weakest subjects.
