PC specs: - 5600xt sapphire pulse - Ryzen 5 3600 - MSI b450 mortar max - 16 Corsair vengeance 3600mhz - 2x Samsung m.2 nvme ssd - 800w psu Corsair Issues: Low GPU usage, FPS drops, frametime spikes and GPU clock speed drops in all games and amd adrenaline stress test. The GPU seems to be unable to consistently run over 30% usage, either low usage with a slightly higher clock or higher usage miserable clock speed (from 1700mhz-> 6mhz), CPU usage remains below 50% in all tasks and thermals for CPU and GPU seem fine <70 degrees. Attempted troubleshooting: - latest bios flashed - turned off all combination of ram OC and CPU OC - fresh windows install + newest drivers - disabled ulps Conclusion: I'm completely stumped, I don't remember it ever performing this bad a couple months ago but this build seems to have had low level performance issues since it's creation (random ctd and black screen). Most of these were fixed by turning off the ram xmp and running a lower freq overclock ≈ 3200mhz with ram timings provided by mobo 'try it' memory oc feature. It's left gaming on this pc to be a stuttery inconsistent mess. The only other thing that changed is that I upgraded from a 144hz monitor to a 240hz one but I don't see why that would change things. If anyone has any further troubleshooting advice that would be grand. Oh and I have never used a forum before hope the formats ok, cheers.

This has been happening for over time and havent figure it out but since December I've been experiencing frame drops and check task manager and see the cpu is 100% and the gpu just doesn't work, yes it does have an integrated graphics in the CPU but i don't know how to fix it.

Hi, So I've been having a problem with my framerate in games on a new laptop that I just got a few days ago. As seen on the pictures that I took (I couldn't record them), my games are usually low on fps most of the time. However when I alt-tab multiple times (or fast enough, I still haven't figured it out), the game will see a significant improvement in fps. We're talking 20fps+ improvement. After seeing some benchmarks on YouTube, the high fps is what I'm supposed to get all the time but for some reason I need to alt-tab a lot of time just to get to that point. This severely affects multitasking as I can't alt-tab to other programs since that would bring the framerate back down until I alt-tab multiple times again. This is such a hassle and all I want is to gain the high framerate constantly. Something else I've noticed is that changing refresh rate through windows settings from 144Hz to 60Hz improves my fps (I still leave it on 144Hz). I don't think that should happen, monitor's refresh rate shouldn't affect the performance of the laptop. Based on my observations, GPU1 usage is high when the low framerate happens and the opposite during high framerate (GPU2 usage is more). GPU1 = AMD Radeon Graphics and GPU2 = Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU. Things I've tried: 1) Update AMD and NVIDIA drivers. 2) Uninstalled AMD and NVIDIA drivers from "add or remove program" and reinstalling the AMD and NVIDIA drivers 3) Used DDU to uninstall AMD and NVIDIA drivers and reinstalling AMD and NVIDIA drivers. 4) Change my battery settings. 5) Turned off iGPU on armoury crate. 6) Changed the settings in NVIDIA Control Panel. But to no avail, I'm still facing this problem. Does anyone know what I'm dealing with, I've dealt with a lot of software problems but nothing like this. Hello i have a problem and i think my gaming build is bottlenecking. I have upgraded from my MSI Aero GTX 1060 6GB to a HP founders edition GTX 1070 8GB and i love the gpu so far but there is a problem. The gpu usage is not always 100% (see screenshots) only in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 when i am above 2k feet. On other AAA games i still dont get 100% gpu usage. I uninstalled the old drivers + the new drivers for the GTX 1070 but didnt helped then i did a complete reset from Windows 11 and this didnt helped. So i have a xeon w3565 and Quadro 2000 (i know its not a gaming gpu) and for some time i am getting realy low gpu usage in Minecrft, GTA 5, CSGO... so in minecrft u usualy got 200-300 fps on normal settings (without shaders) and my gpu usage was at like 70-100% and cpu 20-40%. Now my cpu usage is at 90-100% and gpu usage 20-60% and if i have low gpu usage i get lower fps nad i added SEUS renewed shaders on max settings and i tod it will make gpu work more becouse of demanding shaders but it stayed the same exept my fps was at 20. Please help.

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and I got a question: Why doesn't my GPU (Nvidia GTX 166 Super) run at it's full potential? I play Minecraft on 4K and the Sildurs Vibrant Shader and when I get to a place, where the GPU has to load many things like item frames my frames drop from 70-80 to 30 frames per second and my GPU usage drops from 60-70% to about 30-40%. My CPU and RAM can't be the problem, I have an i7 10700K and 32GB of RAM (I gave Minecraft 8GB and it is always below 30% usage). I don't know what to do. Has somebody expirienced that and knows an answer? (Btw. sorry for the bad English)

I upgraded my GTX1080 to a 3080ti and was expecting a boost in performance, but so far my experience has been very frustrating and disappointing. I have been struggling with this for the past week, I tried many things, but nothing really seems to work, and I just don't know what the problem could be. I play on a 1080p 240hz monitor, I play a few selected games on my 4k TV. Games appear to run fine in 4k, but not in 1080p. I have this Problem where I'm pretty sure I do not get the Fps I should in most games: For example: CSGO: 200 fps (GPU Usage at around 30%) Apex: 180- 220 fps (GPU Usage at around 60%) Warzone: 110-130 fps (GPU Usage at around 65%) Battlefield 4: 160 fps (GPU Usage at around 50%) Battlefield 5: 110 fps, (GPU Usage at around 65%) I also noticed that the less stuff is happening in game, the more GPU usage I get (looking into the sky, focusing on ares with no activity) but as soon as there is a little bit of action, things go downhill I watched Videos with people using similar parts, and they have way better performance, sometime 50+ fps more. Things I have tried so far: Using DDU in Safe Mode, uninstalling driver and reinstalling them. Fresh installation of Windows for the 8th time now. Buying a new Motherboard and Ram. XMP is on. Maximum Performance Settings in Nvidia and Windows. Overclocking (only made noticeable difference in 4K) Updating drivers of the Motherboard, updating BIOs. Bought a new case with better airflow. GPU at around 75 and CPU °C around 70 °C I'm starting to run out of Ideas... and I don't know what to do I also had this Blackscreen problem 2 times now after using the switch display option in 2 different games were after I switch the Picture from my 4K TV to my 1080p and turn off the TV results in this: I still have to option to return the card no questions asked for another 2 weeks, but don't know if the GPU is really the problem here. But still I don't want to be stuck with a card that cost me 1.400€ and doesn't t give me full performance in the games I play. Hi Guys, my Problem is, that my GPU usage is like always under 80%. Sometimes I have spikes up to 90 but thats for seconds. And it cant be Game related, because I have this Issue in every game. (AC Valhalla, Cyberpunk, LoL, Cod MW/Warzone, Watchdogs Leagion, Star wars Fallen Order..) System: Motherboard: MSI x470 Gaming Pro GPU: RTX 2070 from KFA2 CPU: Ryzen 5 2600x PSU: 700W be quite RAM: 16GB Trident Z clocked to 2933 My CPU is also never at limit. Temps on CPU and GPU are fine as well. What I already tried is: Different Driver clean Installed Windows reinstalled Different OC settings and no OC AV on and off Energymanagement settings adjusted and Nvidia Control panel all settings to max Perfomance In games is V-Sync disabled Installed a new PSU HPET disabled and enabled bios update So the weird thing is, Games are working "fine". But if the GPU needs to do more, like when you drive in GTA or Cyberpunk, the FPS drops(obv) but the GPU usage drops too. So 2 sources of fps lose. Nothing is overheated or bottlenecking. Benchmarks are fine. GPU Usage while benchmarks is 99%.. Someone a clue?

Hey guys, I have msi gtx1050ti aero itx (overclocked myself) ryzen 5 1600 3.7 (overclocked myself) corsair vengance lpx 8x1 2400mhz overlclocked to 2733mhz (red) with 500w 80+ psu in valorant i get %35 cpu and gpu usage and i get 100 200 fps in game (somemies i get drop while in practice shooting bots from their heads) i overclocked literally everything on my setup even my monitor overcload 1080p60 to 1080p73 i dont get why cant i get more fps like in cs go btw im using every settting low and 2xmsaa with 1280x1024p75 in screenshot u see 6600mb usage for ram cause chrome open backgound but when im gaming its like between 4 and 6

Hi, i was wondering if games where supposed to use all (of most) of your cpu and gpu usage. An example: minecraft with (sildurs) shaders runs on an average of 90 fps on my laptop. It uses around 40% of cpu usage and 50% of gpu usage. My laptop isnt getting hot (its actually still pretty cool) and the vans dont make a lot of noise and power saver mode is off. i was wondering why doesnt my laptop use more cpu and gpu power to increase my fps further? is this normal? This happens not only in minecraft btw. (laptop is plugged in btw, and there is enough allocated ram for minecraft, and there arent any apps running in the background) Specs: Lenovo legion 5, i7-10750h,1660 TI,16 G of ram.

The usage for those two games range from 50-95+ which affects my frames a lot. There is no problem when I am playing For Honor, for example. The usage stays at 95+ and the frames are good. Please help :(

Hi, Recently when playing CS:GO my GPU usage have not been going over 15%. (Usually it's around 5-6%) This results in frame drops some times down to 20 fps on 1024x768 resolution. Does anyone have a fix for the problem or is there even a fix. I have already changed my nvidia settings to "prefer maximum performance" and my drivers are up to date. Btw i have an ASUS ROG Strix laptop with an GTX 1060 and an Core i7-7700HQ.

I have an RTX 2070 and while running a game, it goes up to like 85 degrees while the fans are on 50%. How can I reduce this while not making the noise unbearable?
