I've been having issues with my graphics card (GTX 1650 Super) not starting up at all (fan not moving, not detected in BIOS) for a day or two at a time. Without fail, the next evening, it'll work no problem for weeks and weeks. I’m always just waiting for the next time it won’t work. There was an incident before when the fan made some noise, it did a loud whine, wouldn't start after reboot, then worked no problem after a couple of days. I'm planning to upgrade in a few weeks, but I'm worried if this could be cause by something else. Any similar experiences or ideas? Thanks in advance! TL;DR: GPU works fine, won’t work for a day, starts working again the next day for weeks. Repeat.

I have an issue with my GPU. It's a RTX 3080 FE. It won't go over 300-500mhz, even when I'm playing games or running a stress test. The only temporary fix I found is to roll back my nvidia drivers, but when I turn off my pc for the night and turn my pc on the next day, the problem returns. I've tried using ddu to uninstall all the drivers and reinstalling, I've updated everything possible, it didn't work. Anyone know of any fixes? System specs: GGU - RTX 3080 FE CPU - Ryzen 7 3700x Ram - Trident Z 32 gb of 3600 mhz (4 sticks, two 16gb kits) PSU - Corsair RMx 850w Motherboard - MSI B550-A PRO One Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB. I'm running out of ideas and options, please help.

Hey guys, So I recently was able to get an ASUS TUF 3090 and I'm having a bunch of trouble after it was installed into my system. When I go to boot either from the onboard mobo button or the connected case power button, the graphics card lights up and then clicks off without the system going into boot. The strange part is my motherboard retains the power as the RGB on it lights up but when turned on it shuts back off after a second with no RAM lighting up at all. I recently upgraded from a Titan Xp to this so i doubted compatibility was the issue but after reading online apparently my motherboard might not support the card. I have also used two different non daisy chained power cables as I read this was important for proper power delivery. Im just really hoping the card does not need to be RMA'd as god knows how long it is until i'm able to get another one. Any more info I can gladly supply, ty for the help! Hi! so i just got my new MSI TRIO 3060TI and i went to test it in minecraft with some shaders just as a quick comparison while installing some games to try, and i noticed an issue. that mainly being that i would only sit around 60 with some frame dips to 50fps. when checking my GPU and CPU usage i noticed that my GPU was max being used at 50%. ( cant be a CPU bottleneck due to the low CPU usage ) Is there any fix to this or what could this issue be ?

Just finished a new build, because my gpu just came in. Pc has been working for several days using intigrated graphics. But as soon as I powered it down and installed the gpu now all I get is the led on the io heatsink is slowly pulsing a red light. The fans won't spin the other lights won't come on. Just updated bios, running windows 11 pro. I've now taken the gpu back out and it still won't work. So the reason I'm not putting this in GPU help is because I think other stuff might be it. So recently I got a new PC and yesterday I added a GPU (gigabyte 1050 ti) then it wasn't displaying to my (old) so I had to change something in the BIOS. So once I had finally got the PC up and running in download geforce experience, updated the drivers (I did this about 5 times again after the problem) then I hopped into a game only to find games running worse than my integrated graphics 530. I've disabled integrated graphics in the control panel only for it work even worse. I've got a decent PSU (I only got it a few weeks ago) 550 watt Corsair vs series and I don't think it's my HDD either. I've looked everywhere and I don't know what to do (it was my first PC build) specs are as followed: Intel core i3 CPU MSI b150m pro VD MOBO Gigabyte gtx 1050 ti windforce 4gb GPU 8 GB hyperx fury RAM (1 stick) Western digital blue 1 TB HDD Thermal take versa h24 case Win 10 pro 64 bit OEM So if you know what to do please say and any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hey guys so I haven't updated my pc in years, and I wanted to play doom eternal relatively fast, and at least hit recommended specs; above are the specs for it ("Ultra Nightmare specs" is the game maxed out) supposedly the game will run on Vulkan only and helps lower end hardware but I don't wanna take chances. So I thought upgrading my MSI GTX 980 to either a RTX Super Gaming X or a RTX 2060 would make sense will my cpu bottleneck it? most importantly how noticeable will the increase in performance actually be not sure it's actually worth it? (Here is a bench mark with the i7 4790k and RTX 2060 https://www.gpucheck.com/gpu/nvidia-geforce-rtx-2060/intel-core-i7-4790k-4-00ghz/) These are my specs MSI GTX 980 i7-4790k 24gb of DDR3 pny I think Coolermaster V750 80+ Gold Thanks in advance

computer works perfectly once booted up. GPU works and pays games amazingly well. my issue is my computer doesnt boot up if you have monitors plugged into the GTX GPU alone. Computer only boot is no GTX GPU installed or you have a monitor hooked up to the integrated graphics HDMI port on the motherboard. once booted you can move monitor to GTX GPU and run computer normally. Hello everyone. My R9 Fury X seems to have a dying vram chip so I think it's time for a new GPU. I have 300 CAD as of now and want to get a more powerful card than the X. I'm not sure to just save for a 5700 or XT, or buy a used 1080 for $300 please help!

So I built a gaming computer a few months ago, and I think the graphics card might be failing in some way. My monitor is has been plugged into both an HDMI port and a DisplayPort with an adapter to test that. The effect is different sometimes, but there are always vertical lines of pixels moving, and it kind of looks like screen tearing in the video game, but constant and across the whole screen. The color is also way off, but not like specific blocks of color, more like just changing the hue of everything on screen.

My pc specs: CPU: I7 9700KF MOBO: Msi MPG z390 gaming edge RAM Viper steel RAM (2 x 8gb 3000mhz) GPU: Sapphire nitro rx480 oc CPU COOLER: Using noctua nhd-15 PSU: Corsair VS650 This is my first time upgrading my pc so i bought the new cpu/mobo/ram and cpu cooler. I used my previous gpu, psu, hdd and ssd. I built this yesterday in the beautiful fractal design meshify c. It took longer than id like to admit but in the end i followed a guide and got it working (or so i thought) with some alright cable management. Anyway the issue is that when i connect my monitors to thr gpu they do not display. The gpu fans are also the only ones that do not spin at all when i power the pc. I have tried the gpu in both pcie slots and no luck. I cannot use onboard graphics because as mentioned earlier i opted for the i79700KF to save some money (regretting that now) Just wondering if anyone could help at all or if i need to buy a new gpu. Really have no idea what to do.

So I recently upgraded to a Samsung 28" UHD. Ever since I've upgraded my fps runs really low at around 20. The dimensions of my new monitor are 3840 x 2160. I know that I can either change my resolution (which looks awful), switch back to my old monitor (no way in hell I'm doing that), or I could get a new graphics card. So far I've decided to just get a new graphics card. The games I want to run at 4k are mostly FPS some of these games are PUBG, all the Fallout games (including the original), CSGO, Rust, SUPERHOT, Etc. If anyone knows of a good graphics card please tell me. My price ranges from $0 - $850. Here are my specs. SPECS: Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Storage Type: - HDD, SSD Solid State Drive Capacity - 120 gigabytes Hard Drive Capacity - 1120 gigabytes System Memory (RAM) - 16 gigabytes Processor Speed (Base) - 3.6 gigahertz Processor Model - Intel 7th Generation Core i7 Processor Model Number - i7-7700 Operating System - Windows 10 Cache Memory - 8 megabytes

In January I built my first pc. It worked fine for a few days until one day I realised that it has a peculiar problem. My PC will not recognise the GPU when switching on after it has been shut down/ Power cut. First here are the specs: * Amd Athlon 200ge * Msi a320m pro-vd/s * Corsair vengeance lpx 8gb ddr4 * Adata su650 240gb sata ssd * Asus GTX 1050ti lp * Coolermaster MWE 450 * Acer 75Hz monitor *an old wd hdd 5200rpm 240gb salvaged from old laptop. Ok. So earlier I used the PSU that came with the cabinet (a custom circle 450w), I purchased a new PSU (Cooler Master MWE 450W) just to eliminate the doubt. Still the same problem. Then I thought the motherboard (ASrock A320) may have been the culprit. I exchanged it for a new tested Msi a320m pro-vd/s. Still the same problem. Fought with GPU seller and he sent me replacement unit again still the same problem. I also exchanged the ram stick for good measure. But I couldn’t exchange CPU as it was non returnable. So, when I shut down or after power cut, the PC turns on with the GPU fans running full speed but no output from GPU, I have to connect the VGA port from IGPU to get output and the PC will boot to windows where it won’t recognise GPU/ cannot install driver as it does not detect GPU. This is fine with me when not needing the GPU but when I want to play games, it is a pain. Today I purchased a UPS to solve the issue of power cut, but the shutdown problem still exists. So after Power cut or shutdown If I try to switch on immediately this problem will occur, else if I wait around 40 mins it will start without any problem! I live in India where we have 220v 50Hz AC from wall. I use a spike guard that has PC, monitor and router connected to it. The remaining things to try is: *Downgrade BIOS to the one where it introduced support to Athlon 200ge *Buy new chip. *Live with it! This is one of the most peculiar problems I have heard off. There is not much material about this problem on the web.

So I want to upgrade my Asus ROG G20AJ Specs: https://www.cnet.com/products/asus-rog-g20aj-us002t-sff-core-i7-4790-3-6-ghz-8-gb-1-tb/specs/ It comes with a 230w + 180w power supply. I'm assuming the 180w is the dedicated GPU power supply. I'm trying to upgrade it to a 1070ti mini without doing anything to the power supply. There are a lot of people that are telling me that I need at least a 650w power supply and other people telling me It'll work fine. Any knowledge/help is very much appreciated.

Ok so recently my gtx 1060 6gb has been acting up by having the clock speed stay at 1500 mhz and the memory is at max speed. There is no issues in games or anything, just kinda confused as why this might be so.

Again, if no one has been following my problems, in messing with my amature knowledge of overclocking in order to fix a problem by messing with the pstate clocks have some how disabled the use of the card. However I have another one which I sli'd the other one. I uninstalled and re installed the latest graphics drivers hoping this would rectify the case. However it did not upon further investigation I learned that the card has a bios switch. I immediately turned off the pc and switched the bios on the affected card. So the master has a green LED and the slave (the affected one) has a Red one. I understand that the Red LED is the overclocked bios and increases the voltage limiter etc. But what I want to know is how to fix the other bios setting. How do i revert this cards internal programing if you will to like how when I bought it? What caused the problem is when I was overclocking my card I switched between Precision X OC and msi afterburner a lot.The slave stopped matching the masters clock and a high gpu inducing game. I later learned that a possible pstate issue could have happened and thus found that Techpowerup GPU Z could edit that. My Pc crashed and caused that all to happen. So I reiterate How can I fix this problem??

When I was a freshman(now a junior), I planned to build a gaming pc but alas life happens and I lost my wallet and I had to do drivers ed. Well I built that PC but I didn't get a new graphics card, I had to use the one from my 80$ USD salvage build. I'm planning to buy a decent 4GB graphics card under $250 USD (or $275 USD). I lean toward Nvidia cause of the past I had with their GPUs. TL;DR It's hard for me to get money cause I'm in school and I need help choosing out a GPU cause of how indecisive I am. I've already made a list of graphics cards i can get locally here, any suggestions will be helpful.

No problems (other than the rad was a very tight fit in this case even though its on the compatibility list). I hit the power button, all fans spin up, hard drive is doing its thing, AiO is circulating and the fans on the graphics card spin up no problem. Everything seems to be in order, but then I plugged the monitor (DVI) into the GPU and I get a "No output" error. We then tried the same monitor through HDMI, screen flashed blue as soon as it was plugged in but then said "No HDMI output" as the error. I am going back over there tomorrow and I will bring my own GPU (R9 280x) and see if it works with it, if it does then I am leaning toward dead R9 390 and if it doesn't work then dead PCi slot. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.
