g2a Developer, Seller, G2A Cartel?
Braden Crashball254 posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
I recently was browser G2A.com, This ios probably the second time I had ever been on the site, but I figured i would give it a try. I saw one of those posts offering "Random ELITE 5 Keys (PC) - Steam Key - GLOBAL", I am going to be honest, I was skeptical, however I read through the product description and recieved the following details. This is copy and paste from the product description. I figureed the product description will protect me from a terrible experience and I will get to explore games I typically wouldn't look for. Who knows what I could draw, the world is my oyster, Im kinda hyped about an adventure into gaming... What I go was FIRE_HEAT Metacritic: https://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/fire-heat/critic-reviews Light Of The Past Metacritic: https://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/light-of-the-past Magic Staves Metacritic: https://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/magic-staves Military Critic Metacritic:https://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/military-division/critic-reviews Pirates Gold Metacritic:https://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/pirates-gold To be honest, I think the first two games of fire heat and light of the past are legit, however If you look at the devs for the other games, you will see the prices for all of their games recently rose to $60 and they are pumping them out at a rate that makes a the EA Sports Madden franchise look like Valve's efforts to make half life 3. I went back and looked at the product description and they clearly commit to offering quality games with a reputable score, however this is clearly not the case. I am curious if this was someone with good intention early on offering legit key packages, only for bad actors to take over and ruin it... or is this was planned from the beginning. I don't want to be a tin foil hatter, but at the same time there seems to be something going on...For a staticitical point of view, if the the games were truely "Random" then I want to know what the odds of getting 2 games from the same developer.... I feel like something odd is going on, Is this something as simple as bad sellers like on amazon. Or is this something a bit more wide spread? Why did multiple Devs raise the price to $60 on steam? How did the sellers get all these keys? What can be done to help fuiture gamers no get got like I did? Also, If this is a long standing problem why have I never heard about it? -
Hello all, just looking to buy a cheap windows key and I found a good one on G2A for $25. I want to buy it but I only have my debit card and no paypal. I know that G2A is RELATIVELY safe however, I don't want to risk it without confirmation. If anyone knows if it is safe to use card on that site that would be amazing.

Saw this a little while ago. Have any of you tried it? From what I can see G2A can be iffy, so I figured I'd ask... https://www.g2a.com/minecraft-windows-10-edition-microsoft-key-global-i10000032198001 Thanks!

So, I'm probably just as hyped as everyone else about MEA right now. I want to pre-order it, however, I have not pre-ordered from G2A before. Is this even trustworthy? It's like £10 cheaper than Origin so it's a little off-putting, too good to be true? Like how can they get the keys cheaper already? So as I am upgrading my PC, and fixing my desk, I would like to play games on the PC I get. But, I would not like to pay full price of Steam's advertised prices. I am very new to PC gaming overall still, as I do not have a Steam account yet. I hear a lot about G2A being a good site to buy cheap Steam keys, but if there are any other sites that are trusted, and have good prices for games, please let me know.

So apparently Indiegala shortly switched to G2A as a payment service provider. In that agreement, G2A's Shield subscription was to be off as standard, which it was at the beginning. However, G2A went full shady and activated it, making you a subscriber of Shield service, without any knowledge (or accept). Worse even is that this 30 day "trial" can only be unsubscribed 2 days before it runs out, or it will continue as a subscription (1€ per month). As a result, Indiegala has disabled all G2A payment services on their site and reverted to their old payment provider. So any buys now, will not have that issue. Here is a nice guide to unsubscribing: http://imgur.com/a/m66DA Yeah, that's 11 steps to unsubscribe. It's shady AF! I am only saying this because of one g2a feature: G2A shield. Holy sh** is it terrible. First they hook you in to a "free trial" which you cant deactivate for a month, and which also auto renews if you have attached a payment method. ALSO did I mention that you can't detach a payment method unless you wait a month. Then, after waiting one month, it takes you through a long deactivation process, where it tries to persuade, and then bribe you to stay with shield. After that you have to wait 20 minutes for an email (not UP TO 20 minutes, I had to wait a FULL 20). Then when I got my email, I clicked the link and was greeted with the message "Invalid Token". GREAT! I went through the process again and it finally worked. Only 40 minutes of my time wasted. NICE! This seems like an EXTREMELY shady business model, designed to hook you in to a subscription without your knowledge and steal a few dollars from you every month. CONCLUSION: DON'T USE G2A I have also used kinguin and have had positive experiences with the purchase and with customer service, so I would recommend kinguin if you have to buy game keys.

Update the Second: G2A has officially responded, which you can read in full here: https://news.g2a.com/news/g2a-com-gearbox-cooperation-official-statement/ A short few snippets: Update: Due to G2A not responding, Gearbox has started the process of pulling out of their partnership deal, the head of publishing, Steve Gibson, issuing the following statement: Original Post: Earlier this week, Gearbox partnered with G2A to sell special editions of their game Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. This, understandably, resulted in severe backlash from the community, due to G2A being well-known at this point as a vendor which sells fraudulent keys. Totalbiscuit was one person who responded on Twitter saying that he was pulling coverage for the title and future Gearbox titles due to their partnership with G2A. Adding: Gearbox took note of this and requested proof of G2A's problems from Totalbiscuit, of which he provided a multitude of sources for. After going through and verifying this information with Totalbiscuit on a conference call, they recognized G2A's problems and proposed a solution, which they detailed in the following press release: So this created a win/win situation of sorts, in which either G2A takes large steps towards legitimizing their platform or they don't, and publishers won't have the potential for any excuse of ignorance (that anyone would believe) of G2A's copious problems, not to mention the very notable and public PR disaster in store for G2A, or even Gearbox, if they don't pull out of the partnership in the event G2A doesn't comply with their proposal. You can read more about the situation on Totalbiscuit's Twitlonger: http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1spp1mm or on Eurogamers website, which details the initial partnership and this recent update: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-04-06-gearbox-partners-with-controversial-game-key-reseller-g2a-for-bulletstorm-full-clip-edition-bundle

Hello. I have just purchased myself a cd-key for PUBG on G2A.com. I completed the payment etc and have waited 3+ hours for the order to actually process. I have contacted their customer support, but they havent yet got back at me. Does anyone know what to do in this situation? I really am not looking to waste $30.. (Note: I didn't purchase the G2A shield).

Hi guys, I live in South Africa and I purchased a copy of C.O.D Infinite warfare. Unfortunately I made the regrettable mistake of purchasing a EU version that isn't valid in my country. Thankfully it didn't cost me an extreme amount of money. However I find myself stuck with a code that cannot be redeemed. I do not wish to sell it, so I decided to donate it to the first person that finds this post ( And can activate games in the EU region). Thank you and enjoy. I was hoping to buy a couple of items but the website I wanted to use only accepted G2A. I have an account for it but I can’t find the top-up button or the deposit button. I already have PayPal linked so I don’t know why I can’t add money. I also have my phone linked so that shouldn’t be a problem either.

Hey, so recently I wanted to get a game on Steam, but I cannot buy as I don't have enough money on steam. Credit card would be an obvious solution BUT I have a card which is only capable of domestic payments therefore that is out.Normally I would buy via Paysafecard on different sort of websites BUT in my country Steam does not support paysafecard whatsoever. So how can I possibly obtain that game? I was thinking of buying it on G2A, but after reading so many people complaining about it I would rather not use that. Thank you in advance!

Hi guys, just bought something with G2A that cost me 5$... I payed via Debt Card. But on my Card it has charged me £19 for it.. Have I been scammed or am I missing something here. Really do need the help as G2A support is fucking useless. Really would like to get to the bottom of this. Also I think it may have also done it earlier in the month, as my PayPal Balance went to -£49 for no apparent reason, also using G2A.. Any help would be appreciated, thnx

First post, but long time lurker on the LTT forums so I guess I will share my experience with G2A. Not hating on G2A as I've had every purchase gone right with them until now. So a few days ago G2A had a limited pre-order flash sale for F1 2016 that was exclusively through PayPal, me being a huge F1 fan I pre-ordered the game. Aug 19th was the game's release date and I expected to receive my code sometime throughout the day, well Aug 19th comes and goes with no code in my email. I emailed support during the 19th and they kept giving me the "Key will be delivered ASAP" or "Key will be delivered shortly". No help at all until today, I started a live chat and a rep told me that the email delivery system was malfunctioning and that they didn't have the keys in possession. He also told me that it would be several days until I receive my key. WTF?! "several days" I needed the game yesterday to make videos, now you're telling me that I have to wait even longer for a game I should've already received?! To make matters worse, pre-orders don't get priority as their twitter had a link to the game the day it was released for the same price. I'll update this post if it ever gets resolved. BTW different reps keep giving me different answers nice job G2A. Here's said Flash Sale link they posted on release day, the pre-order flash sale was on the site's margins TL;DR Pre-Ordered a game, G2A support sucks, Keys aren't being emailed. Keys don't even exist.

I was looking at prices on steam the other day and I found that the prices on G2a are much lower than on steam, eg.: for IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad you pay 7.25€ and 45.99€ respectively also GTA V G2a: 37.40€, Steam:59.99€. These aren't just differences, they're huge more than 50% for some games. You might or might not get my point, but my question remains: Why does steam ask for more money than a site? links to my sources: IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad: http://store.steampowered.com/app/307960/ andhttps://www.g2a.com/il-2-sturmovik-battle-of-stalingrad-cd-key-global.html Grand Theft Auto V: http://store.steampowered.com/app/271590/ https://www.g2a.com/grand-theft-auto-v-steam-cd-key-global.html

I've always wondered what G2A pay actually is... When you go to buy something, you can choose to use a debit/credit card or Paypal to name a few, or you can select "G2A Pay" and then use a debit/credit card or paypal.. Can someone explain
