In the pursuit of constructing a high-performance PC, I’ve meticulously selected components that harmonize both efficiency and power. The chassis of choice is the Phanteks Enthoo Pro TG, a versatile enclosure that comfortably houses six hard drives. This allows for a substantial storage configuration, currently envisioned as six 2TB Seagate Barracuda internal drives, culminating in a voluminous 12TB of storage space. Yet, I remain open to the idea of integrating higher-capacity drives should the need for expanded storage arise. Complementing this, I’ve incorporated a Western Digital Black SN770 1TB NVMe SSD, elevating the total storage capacity to an impressive 13TB. This strategic amalgamation of storage solutions ensures a swift system response while maintaining ample space for extensive data accumulation. The proposed memory allocation consists of 64GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, ensuring fluid multitasking and proficient data management. Powering this ensemble is the Corsair RM650x power supply, a paragon of stability and efficiency. The graphical prowess is delivered by the XFX Speedster QICK308 Radeon RX 7600—a judicious selection that promises both performance and value. At the heart of the system lies the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, a formidable CPU that’s cooled by the Deepcool AK620 DIGITAL 68.99 CFM CPU Cooler, ensuring optimal thermal regulation. The foundation of this build is the MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard, a future-ready platform that offers both robust performance and connectivity options. This setup is primarily engineered for tasks such as Unreal Engine development, and I believe it represents a significant enhancement over my previous configuration. However, I am eager to hear your expert opinions and recommendations for any potential refinements or alternatives that could further optimize this build for my intended use cases. yes it will be used for gaming.

Budget (including currency): 600 GBP Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: programing, light gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): needs to at least run 1080p at 144 fps (what my monitor runs), I have a small desk so needs to be small and I have never built a PC before. I'm upgrading from a laptop with a AMD Ryzen 5 5500U with Radeon Graphics, 8gb of ram and a 500 gb ssd. I would like more storage if it fits in the buget but definitely more ram.

Budget (including currency): Around 800 euro, must stay within 900 euro Country: The Netherlands Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly gaming. On my current PC which i got from my uncle I can only run games like Football Manager and Rocket league on really low settings (barely playable), and I would like being able to play titles like Call of Duty, Civ 6 or racing games and such (no real specifics). Besides gaming it will mostly be used for uni work, but that shouldn't be a problem. Other details: I don't have any existing parts except for two HP Compaq LA2306x monitors which I will replace at a later date. My intention is to be able to play on relatively high settings 1080p. As I said in the title I'm completely lost and am just going for relatively cheap options with a good amount of reviews. I decided that I want to buy new parts as I just don't trust myself with buying used parts at this moment. Any advice on what I should look out for with different parts or any alternitives are really welcome, I can't oversee what I should be looking out for. I'm mainly confused when comparing motherboards, memory sticks and power supplies. Also I can't seem to find a case that I like for the price, I don't care how it looks but I just don't want anything to overheat so I thought going for included fans would be the best idea. As I said any tips would be welcome, but please add why an alternitive would be better as I'm also looking to learn from this. https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/LJHK89 CPU - AMD Ryzen 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor (€165) Motherboard - Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE V2 ATX AM4 Motherboard (€130) Memory - Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory (€36) Storage - Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (€65) GPU - MSI MECH 2X OC Radeon RX 6650 XT 8 GB Video Card (€272) Case - Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case (€75) Power Supply - Corsair CV650 650 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (€75)

Budget (including currency): 700-900 USD Country: Midwest US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Various levels of gaming - KSP, Forza Horizon 5, From the Depths, heavily modded Minecraft, Cities Skylines, War Thunder... really all over the place, but for the most part not a ton of shooters nor massive titles with the exception of FH5. I do plan on probably at least trying out more larger games once I have a PC more able to run them. Not that other games are particularly light on a system looking at you, FtD, with your lying required specs. Other uses will be basic web browsing/video playback and (hopefully) a fair amount of writing. I don't own a TV, so my PC is my main source of digital entertainment. I would prefer to be able to have Discord and possibly a couple of browser tabs open at the same time as whatever game I'm playing. Other details I'm upgrading from a 2017 Dell Inspiron 5577 Gaming laptop with an i7-7700HQ, GeForce GTX 1050, 8GB of memory, a 128GB SSD, and a 1TB HDD for main storage. It's served me very well, but it's six years old now and really starting to hit some limits. Both drives are getting pretty full, and the SSD has been a constant battle to not cap out for several years now. Many games will make the laptop run pretty hot, and the power supply is either in the process of going or has gone bad. I plan on keeping my laptop for basic computer use both at home and for portable stuff, but it would be great to offload much of the gaming to a better-suited dedicated system. As for peripherals, I have very basic stuff that I'm willing to use for a bit until I save up to buy something better. I've been using a second monitor with my laptop for a while and it's great to have two screens. Nothing fancy, a ViewSonic VS15451 I bought secondhand along with the HDMI adapter. I'd like to have two screens again but I'm not sure yet whether I want save up a bit for something nicer to use as a primary or buy another cheap/secondhand one. I've got a bluetooth keyboard that I can use until I get to purchasing a nicer one. Sound is either bluetooth earbuds or a Corsair headset, no need for speakers. As much as I love the headset, running iCue is a challenge on my laptop when also doing intensive tasks like, y'know, running games. It's another reason for wanting to upgrade. My mouse I'll keep, no issues there. Finally, I will need wireless internet as my apartment is fairly old and the access point is unreachable with a physical connection. If it isn't clear already, I'm very much new to working on any PC by myself and am not super knowledgeable in hardware nor software outside what I've got personal experience with. So far I've been using the build guides on PCPartPicker, namely the "Great Intel Gaming Build." Unfortunately I'm nowhere near informed enough to know how well that suits me, or what (or if) I'd need to change to make it so. I'd love to be able to upgrade with a little ease in the future, namely adding more memory than 16GB if I find that to be of interest. I have the money available to spend now, so I don't need to wait to save up but of course am looking to do my research before going and dropping several hundred dollars on something I don't know everything about. Overall not looking for the best thing since sliced bread, but rather a PC that will allow me to play games comfortably, and that will be a better experience than running Forza on super-low with stutter and painful HDD load times. Wish I could speak to refresh rate or resolution or anything more of help, but I simply don't know what I don't know. It'd be nice not to pay the full $900 budget and get it closer to $800, but I am comfortable going that high if need be. Thank you for reading my half-understanding ramble, and for any advice you may have. Any questions I will be more than happy to answer

Budget (including currency): $2k ish Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for and Other details I'm trying to build a PC for the first time and i have no idea where to begin. I am an engineering student (i use programs like Matlab, Solid-works, And Ansys and sometimes even at the same time). I plan on PC gaming as well (like the big name titles). Generally I'm running a lot of tabs at a given time. I need it as quiet as possible (the quieter the better) and i need a very large amount of storage (both short term and long term storage). (And some other things i would like to include are as follows: 1) a wired and wireless Ethernet connection 2) audio for speakers and headphones 3) a CD/DVD player (if it could burn CD as well that would be amazing) 4) a lot of usb ports and a way to make sure i can see that everything is running properly after i put it together (like a control center or something) I know that i am being very picky and making my first PC build a challenging one right know i have like $1200 but i have no problem to save up to like $2k if anything. If you could help point me in the right direction it would be very helpful any advise would be helpful (i have 0 past experiences making PCs). This is what I have so farhttps://pcpartpicker.com/list/NXndfP

Don't need a monitor or keyboard an mouse just the pc its self. Not sure what is best to put in it so whatever any of u think would work best for a gaming PC. Thank u so much in advance if any of u can help me with this. *EDIT* Will do a pre build if anyone could show me some good ones. Alienware has some but they want almost $1700 for a pc that is not the basic build. But please let me know even of it is Alienware I'm open to ideas

Budget (including currency): About €1,500.00 Country: Ireland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 1080p gaming. Warhammer 1-3, LOL, Star Wars Battlefront 2, then mainly retro games (5 year old+) . Other details Would be grateful for any feedback particularly graphics cards? Should I get a) get a stopgap say 2gb until things calm down/get by with the i5 processors built in video card and get a 8gb when things calm down b) get a 4gb from Germany/France for €200-300 (tariffs too high from UK suppliers) Knowledge wouldn't be great but have done a bit of research the last few weeks. Parts in Ireland seem to be particularly expensive when compared elsewhere. Went with a few things slightly higher than required such as PSU and Mobo for re use in potential upgrades. Budget (including currency): Would like to stay under $1500, but can go higher if needed. Nothing over $2000 would be cool Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I am an artist who uses programs like ClipStudioPaint and the Adobe apps. I hope to stream at some point, and play games without having to put the graphics all the way down to low, with games like COD Cold War. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I currently use an intel 7600k, and I want to switch to amd. I am a first time builder, so any suggestions on different parts from what I need, please feel free to say, but I do like corsair products. The build I have now is a pre built, just for reference. Questions I have: Will I have problems switching from intel to amd? Will my storage devices be ok if i switch it over, or will they corrupt? Will I have to buy another windows license? Or will my old one still be good? I'm pretty sure I can build the pc, but as far as the start up i get confused. Basically what to do after the pc is built and I'm trying to start it up. the only reason i have the 250gb ssd and the 2tb hard drive is because it has all my old stuff, and i believe the ssd is the boot drive. I think i could probably get rid of the hard drive, cause it has mostly games on it. But is there a way to just transfer the stuff on the hard drive to my sata ssd? I'm not sure it would work for the boot ssd, but then again idk. I appreciate anyone who looks at this and helps me out. I was debating on just buying a pre-built, but after watching the video where they had Sarah build her own pc, and hearing her take in the end, it sealed the deal that I wanted to try to build a pc myself. Following Andy's instructions I managed to get until 6:17. Apparently in the BIOS PopOS should be a selectable boot option, not for me tho. PC is a Dell Optiplex 755. Runs a Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 that was meant to run Windows XP hence why I'm trying to install Linux. Currently I still have the boot usb plugged in and whenever I turn on the PC it keeps going into the Live Environment to install PopOS. The thing is, after the first install, I had a third option asking if I wanted to "refresh my install", which shows that PopOS is installed but I can't boot into it when I remove the boot USB. Pls help

Budget (including currency): $800-900 USD. Country: Colombia (most parts on amazon ship for free, other sites not so sure). Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaems, don't worry about what kind as I will accomodate later. Monitor(s) info: 1080p 240Hz primary with a 1080p 120Hz secondary. (Do not ask why the overkill) Peripherals: I have everything except Windows and a desk. I will worry about the desk, you worry about Windows if necessary. I would rather not have to pay for it, and I do not have a license or key. Why upgrading/buying a new setup: Currently using a 940mx equipped laptop for 20fps "gaming", if it could even be considered so. Other details: MOBO: ASUS TUF Gaming B550-PLUS CPU: Ryzen 7 5700G 8 core 16 Thr Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb (2x8gb) 3600Mhz C18 1.35V Storage: 970 EVO Plus 500GB M.2 NVMe PSU: EVGA 110-BQ-0600-K1 600W 80+ Bronze Case: Whatever sticks, don't care what it looks like. Pcpartpicker list, just in case: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QYJH9r You may have noticed there is no GPU, and that is because I am not willing to spend $600 (Around 60% of the total pricing for the rest of the components combined) on a mid level card. So I have decided to take the bold leap into this newfound idea of "GPU-Less gaming rigs" and go with an APU instead. Will attempt to buy a GPU in the future, so that's why I'm going with the higher end 5700g instead of other cheaper, similar in performance alternatives; And it is also why I am buying a 600W PSU for such a low energy rig (According to PCPartpicker, atleast). Main issue lies on deciding what ram configuration and how to effectively "match" it's speed perfectly with the APU as to get good performance and stability out of the Vega 8 compontent, as I am aware that higher ram speeds are benefitial, but apparently you can't just buy the highest available speed and turn XMP on, as there are other things like "timings" to take into consideration. Also maybe some advice on cooling as I was planning on just using the included Wraith stealth but considering I'm going to be using the CPU as a GPU aswell for a while, I'm now thinking cooling should be as much of a priority as RAM Mhz. Take into account that I do not care for overclocking or BIOS tinkering to extract every bit of juice, as putting the thing together is already hard enough for me. I will be very listening and very grateful, as well as very open to literally anything as I am as knowledgeable about building PC's as a house plant. I apologize for both the long book and any grammar mishaps as I am currently clocking ~18h awake. Any advice appreciated.

I just want a good pc that can play games and allow me to experiment with different things Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Vermeer 6-Core 3.7 GHz Socket AM4 65W 100-100000065BOX Desktop Processor (already bought) Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming (WiFi 6) AMD AM4 (3rd Gen Ryzen) ATX Gaming Motherboard (PCIe 4.0, 2.5Gb LAN, BIOS FlashBack, HDMI 2.1, Addressable Gen 2 RGB Header and AURA Sync) Memory: G.SKILL Trident Z RGB (For AMD) 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Intel XMP 2.0 Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C18D-16GTZRX GPU: EVGA 3060 (managed to get one, already bought it) Case: I have no selected a case as it seems to be a hard decision. I don't care to much for the look of it but I don't want a stupid looking one. One that is pretty big would be nice so I can fit whatever parts i may need to. I also want a case with good air flow. Power Supply: CORSAIR RMx Series RM850x CP-9020180-NA 850W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Power Supply (already bought it) Storage:Western Digital WD Blue SN550 NVMe M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) WDS100T2B0C and (Seagate BarraCuda ST2000DM008 2TB 7200 RPM 256MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive Bare Drive) CPU Cooler: Not sure what to do for the cooler im open to either aio or a fan and heatsink Operating System: Windows 10 home 64-bit( will need to get one somehow) Other Parts: I need help figuring out what thermal compound to use as well as other fans for keeping the PC cool. I also need to know if theres any parts id need to order that I don't know of. I kind of like the idea of rgb fans that can daisy chain like the lian li ones. Accessories So for things such as mouse, keyboard, headphones, desk, and monitor those are all things I wish to upgrade slowly over time. With a monitor being the first. I plan to use two monitors and for most games I am fine with 1080p-1440p and 120herz. I like fps competitive games so having a good refresh rate is what I need. Extra Info I want to build my first ever PC. Currently I'm just using a a laptop for school and I play games on my PS5. For the CPU I already bought it. For Motherboard I've tried my best doing research but would appreciate any feed back on if I should choose something else. Memory I would want either 8gb sticks or 16gb sticks at atleast 3200 but if yall know something better I would love to know. GPU I managed to get a 3060 in a bundle package with the cpu stated above. For case I have thought of (Fractal Design Meshify C Black ATX High-Airflow Compact Dark Tint Tempered Glass Window Mid Tower Computer Case, FD-CA-MESH-C-BKO-TG) or (Phanteks Enthoo Pro TG PH-ES614PTG_BK Integrated RGB lighting Tempered Glass Side Panel ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Black) or even a lian li but really just want help picking out something good. For Power supply bought one at bestbuy. For Storage I made another post previously and changed it to what it is now. That list is a bit different since I managed to get a 3060 with a bundle deal and I just chose a 2tb hard drive since they were not expensive. For CPU Cooler I really have no clue I wouldn't mind getting an AIO but I don't know if i have to change out the liquid every so often or what the maintenance is on it.

I just finished building my first pc, and i set my ram (Ripjaws V 3600) to its maximum speed, then hit save and restart. I now have had a black screen for over 10 minutes, i have learned that i may have pushed my TUF b450 motherboard over its maximum Ram limit (3466). I know that i have to perform a CMOS jump, but i had my windows install usb drive in at the time of the black screen. My question is, when i perform the CMOS jump, what will happen to Windows 10 on the drive after the jump, and what should i do with it before?

I bought this case for my first PC build, but I'm worried about thermal performance. I'm trying to build something very quiet and cool becuase I'm tired of my gaming laptop throttling while sounding like it wants to go to space. I'm planning on using a 3700x (with stock cooler) and a 3060ti (rumored TDP=180w). I also bought a 3 pack of PCcooler Corona Fans becasue BitWit said they are really good, but I'm willing to return them for 2 Scythe Kaze Flexes if that would make it cool even better. Should I return this case and get something with more ventilation, like an NR400? Hi there all! First-timer here when it comes to seriously trying to get a decent set up built for gaming. Usually a console guy due to the simplicity (hate dealing with PC failures), but after getting burnt on some console ports of games I really was looking forward to, I decided enough was enough and to finally buck up and dive in. Here's what I've been thinking and planning, with the information I do know in regards to building a PC from Linus and others Budget (including currency): $2500 USD, $2750 USD with sales tax (A little over $2500 is totally okay, I just don't want to pay a lot more in taxes than I already will have to) Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Only games. Too many games to count really! But for an example of higher end games I want to play, we're looking at Doom Eternal and Flight Simulator as the newest released games and hopefully the upcoming RE4 remake. In general though, FPS and other genres of games that are generally better with keyboard and mouse. Feel free to ask about any specifics if they are needed! Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cgHTpH CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory OS Storage: Corsair MP600 Force Series Gen4 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive Game Storage: Seagate Barracuda Compute 8 TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8 GB FTW3 ULTRA GAMING Video Card Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair RMx (2021) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit Case Fan: Corsair iCUE SP120 RGB ELITE 47.7 CFM 120 mm Fans 3-Pack Monitor: Sceptre C305B-200UN 30.0" 2560x1080 200 Hz Monitor Other Notes: I don't generally plan on purchasing anything quite yet, need to save up and get back to my job. I do know though that my priority should be to get the GPU and CPU first due to the high demand and price. I mainly value stability and framerates over graphics. So no pushing for 4K or anything close to it. I'd say 1920 x 1080 is the general target. Framerates are key for me, and so as high of framerates and refresh rate as possible, with 60fps being the minimum, is key for me. Only one monitor I'm planning, 200hz, which is the one listed in the parts list. I plan on maxing out the number of case fans possible to make sure that everything stays as cool as possible. Noise isn't that much of a concern for me, as long as I can clearly tell there isn't something wrong with it all. The 8TB hard drive is solely to hold as many games as possible, don't really like deleting and redownloading them all too much Mouse & Keyboard are not needed, I have gaming ones from my current budget build from all the way back from 2014. Most likely, other peripherals are not needed either. Looks and RGB is cool, but overall I prefer function over form. Oh and also, not a streamer or content creator or anything for that. Thanks in advance for all of your help! WMK

Budget (including currency): $500-$1500 $USD (if it can stay closer to $1000 that would be wonderful lmao) Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: • Gaming mainly, some MMORPGs (FFXIV specifically), Minecraft, or other RPG/Open-world type games. I don’t play FPS games much so specs related to that aren’t that big of a deal to me. •Browsing and light school workload, like essays and that sort of thing •Potentially art programs like Clip Studio Paint Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I created a mock up of my build on PCPartPicker which I will link, but I’ll also put a list of it here as well List Link: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/cinnabunz/saved/WYrnpg •CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3100 3.6 GHz Quad-Core •CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i 33.84 CFM •MoBo: MSI B550-A PRO ATX AM4 •RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 X 8 GB) •SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2 2280 NVME •GPU: MSI Radeon RX 6600 8 GB MECH 2X •Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case •PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA GA 650 W 80+ Gold Fully Modular ATX OS: Windows 10 Home OME 64-Bit I do have to say that I am still learning on how to look at specs for what exactly I need (which I do have LTT to thank for with their videos lol), but I do want some tips and critiques on how I can tweak this to get more power for less money. I’m planning on buying relatively soon, as I’ve noticed components have been going down in prices the past few days. I think really anything will be better than my HP Notebook I’ve been trying to game on for the past three years that gets max of 10 fps lol.
