Budget (including currency): around 1800 CHF (Swiss Franc) (rather a bit lower, but willing to spend more money if a feasible upgrade can be made) Country: Switzerland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CS:GO, MS Flight Simulator, Sim Racing, Minor Adobe Creative Cloud use, Assassins Creed (General AAA Games), Video Recording, A bit of Emulation, Programming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): So my Computer recently died and it was a really old computer so anything will be an upgrade really. I currently have two 1440p Monitors, one running at 240hz, the other at 60. For CS:GO I would like to reach over the 240fps, the other games should be a bit higher than playable (above 70fps, I know that the GPU is older, but maybe I can upgrade in the future). I don't need any peripherals 'cause I have them from my old rig. I want to buy this PC as soon as possible because I have been getting in the F1 mood so I want to play the game again. I do want to buy a custom fanatec wheel sometimes in the future, but because of the price I will have to save some money up for that. But I already have a decent driving setup, so I would be an upgrade. As I said, I have an old rig and I can recycle some of the parts as followed: GPU SATA SSD SATA HDD Network Card PSU (*) These Items can be of course be ignored in the total price of the components. * The PSU in my current rig is a bequiet! 100-240Vac 900W PSU, so the Watts should be no problem. I just don't exactly know which PSU this exactly is or how efficient it is since I was not the one that built it. So maybe Upgrading to a new PSU could be worth it? The link for the components: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/C0RR1T_/saved/kKg4pg PS: I know that the Price listed in PCPartpicker is lower than my budget. My current budget is how much the current NEW components cost together in a specific online shop. I am ordering the parts from a online shop in Switzerland, which has higher prices, but I always get my stuff from there, so yk... Thanks alot in advance & Nice holidays if you have any (you lucky bastard :D)

I just finished my final PC. my one all end all till about the next 7 years or more. I want a good Monitor to go with it, but I need help finding it. This monitor is elusive and ever so hidden that only the chosen one can find it. 1440p or full 4K with +100Hz, IPS and has a display port, and curved. (Freesync preferred since I'm hyping myself up for the VEGA release) Its the ultimate struggle. I've been looking online for the past 4 months to see whats available, so far I found a couple close matches but they end in 60Hz, or 1080p. if i'm going to end up paying 400$ for 1, I might well atleast dishout the 800 for something twice as good.

I'm starting a new build. The previous PC I built a few months ago has some problems (check sig for specs), instead of putting more money into that PC, I'm making a new one. I'm hoping to have all the core components by the end of the year. This build will be my first custom loop if all goes well I might put a custom loop in my htpc. Name: So when choosing the name for my PC (All nice computers need a name ) I couldn't decide on a name and when I was watching Street Outlaws on TV (Kinda a car guy) I was thinking that I'm kinda going for an all black build and the Murder Nova is all black, so that is how I came up with my name . Parts: CPU (i7 6800k) - Have GPU (2x GTX 1080) - Have Motherboard (MSI X99A Gaming Pro Carbon) - Have HDD and SSD (1TB WD Black and 500gb Samsung EVO) - Have Case (CaseLabs Merlin SM8) - Have Watercooling Parts (EK Blocks and Rads, Corsair Fans) - Have RAM (32gb HyperX Fury) - Have PSU (Corsair RM1000X, and BitFenix Custom Cables) - Have Build: As of right now I'm just waiting on the case, I initially purchased the case back in July with a 8-9 week processing but a week ago I got an email saying it would be 1-2 more weeks . I will update with more info and pictures Edit: Added photo of parts

Hey so I have taken some advice and come up with this build. Let me know what you all think. I think it fits nicely in the under 600$ category for what I want, with some cool features. This is going to be quite a read, you've been warned ? Hello everyone ? So, after my current setup (6600k @4.4GHz all core & GTX1080) is starting to show it's age in modern Triple-A games and my birthday is coming up soon I've devided to start a new build completely from scratch. 1. Budget & Location I am located in Austria, where there's sadly absolutely no kangaroos and I plan to spend about 3000-3500€ (roughly equals to 3300-3900 $US and 4400-5100 $CAD) but that's not a hardwall limit. Don't get me wrong, of course I plan to stay within the budget to some degree but I won't go and hang myself with a powercord if I overspend a little bit, talking about the 10%ish range. 2. Aim The main focus is going to be gaming (1440p G-Sync 144Hz monitor) and procrastinating on the internet aka. watching Youtube videos. I've always wanted to get into gamedesign but never found the time to do so - probably I'll find some time in the future and I'd like to be set for that to a certain degree. I play games like Minesweeper, Candy Crush and some browsergames.... ? jk I play mostly Triple-A titles, for instance Forza Horizon 4, Division 2, Anno 1800, Ghost Recon Breakpoint (that's where the idea startet as I was experiencing performance issues and stuttering), Red Dead Redemption 2, probably Grid, probably Need for Speed Heat, when it releases Watchdogs Legion and of course the obvious Cyberpunk 2077. Whenever it releases Dying Light 2. With my current hardware pick I'll also get 3 free games which are: The Outer Worlds, Borderlands 3, CoD Modern Warfare and 3 months free Xbox Game Pass so I'd also get to play Gears 5 I think. 3. Monitors I am currently running two monitors, both 2560x1440, both IPS, one of them GSync 144Hz (currently not OCd to 165) the other one regular 60Hz being only a side monitor. ((Acer Predator XB271HU and Dell U2715H)) Both connected to DP. At this moment I'm not planning on changing anything about the monitors, however, IF a proper 4k GSync monitor with high refresh rates shows up for an acceptable price I'd be very tempted. I know, there is the Acer Predator XB3 which is basically the successor to my monitor but I strongly dislike the wide bezels - my monitors are both slim bezel at the moment and I don't like the idea of giving that up as they're side by side as close as possible on monitor arms. 4. Peripherals There's no plan the purchase new peripherals. Currently on Logitech G910 Orion Spectrum, a Roccat Nyth for in-game and a Logitech MX Master for superior desktop mousing. 5. Why are you upgrading? I'm upgrading mainly because I've been experiencing some quite annoying stutter from time to time in Ghost Recon Breakpoint and I'm concerned that might as well happen with the upcoming games. My CPU being pinned to 100% basically all the time, my setup is now about 4 years old and a round-numbered birthday is coming up... and I've got nothing else "stupidly overpriced" to gift myself that I definitely "need", I'm sure many of you know what I mean. Of course I wouldn't HAVE to, I could as well lower my expectations a bit, I'm indeed aware of that, but I'm not really the person to do so and I also don't mind it being somewhat overkill for what I really would need, so that's that - and that's how they always get me, it happened when buying a car, it happened when buying a motorcycle, it literally always happens - I know, first world problems 10/10 and nobody would believe me if I said I'm the victim in all of this. So here's my current hardware picks, of course those vendors and prices are not applicable to me being in Europe: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor $499.99 @ Best Buy CPU Cooler Noctua NH-D15 CHROMAX.BLACK 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler $99.95 @ Amazon Motherboard Gigabyte X570 AORUS ULTRA ATX AM4 Motherboard $299.89 @ OutletPC Memory G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory $334.99 @ Newegg Storage Gigabyte AORUS NVMe Gen4 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $209.99 @ Amazon Video Card Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB AORUS XTREME WATERFORCE Video Card $1349.99 @ Amazon Case NZXT H510i ATX Mid Tower Case $99.99 @ Amazon Power Supply Corsair RM (2019) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $128.99 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $3053.78 Mail-in rebates -$30.00 Total $3023.78 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-10-23 16:46 EDT-0400 I'v already got my dirty paws on the D15 chromax - but I did get some weird special edition, I don't know, Noctua seem to have teamed up with some Youtube guy named Linus?! Anyone heard of him? He seems to be wearing socks and sandals a lot while dropping stuff and he keeps telling me about Glasswire ? My thoughts and why I picked these components: this is going to be be quite a read You've finally made it through. If there's a typo please forgive me, english is not my first language - you may keep said typo as a little something for your time ? Please excuse the essay-length but I spent the last days and nights trying to figure this out. Let me know your thoughts on all of that hot mess. I desparately need help picking RAM, PLEASE ? Thank you for taking the time, have a great day. PS: love you Linus & LTT ?

Hello ! and welcome to my build log for my lastest build. Here's some pictures I found of the thing in full glory: From the chair, the instruments are in perfect line of sight. (Although the keyboard is a bit far back on the top shot.) PICTURES in second post story : 'so basically im an air cadet, and we wanted a flight sim that we could add things to. since we have a millitary computer we cannot open . (4690k and no gpu)so iv been tasked to build one for 750$ CAD! but not any kind of flight sim. one that has 5 SCREENS so yeah, I watched back scrapyardwars.. and here we go !(fun fact. I ended up under budget !)' original budget : 750$ CAD for a pc and 4 screens (surround : 3x 1240x1024px ) (extra monitor : 1x 1240x1024) final price : 542$ CAD the pc : CPU : Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (30$) Motherboard : EVGA 780i SLI (80$) RAM : 4x2 gb ddr2 (44$) GPU : 2x 660ti 2gb (Gigabyte and MSI) (240$) Wireless Network Card : TP-Link something something wireless N (Free !) Case some Xblade gaming case with blue leds (15$) Storage : 1tb seagate drive (don't remember the model by heart) (Free !) PSU : DeepCool DA650W (43$) Display(s) 2x17" 3x19" 3:4 displays (2 free + 60$) Cooling : stock intel cooler (free !) Operating System : Windows 7 64 bit (30$) PC Part Picker URL : coming soon taxes included in price for a total of 542$ the original plan was to go for 5 screens, but sadly I coudn't fit in the budget, so we went with 4 and extra money for buying drones.... (5 of them)

Hey everyone, after tons of advice from many different forums, including this one, I am finally finished picking the parts for my brothers 800$ (CAD) gaming PC. Before I go ahead and buy the parts, does anyone have any final advice for the build? Thanks! (Please read my explanation for the parts below) The PC: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/6cDmK8 If you are wondering why I chose these parts, Here is a list explaining why: Processor: I chose the intel i5 4460 as my processor because of its great performance and ability to keep up with very high end cards. I also chose it because it is at a great price and actually costs the same as some lower end i5's right now. I took the intel over amd's FX series because of its great upgrade path compared to the dead am3+ socket. Motherboard: I chose the MSI CSM-H87M-G43 motherboard for its 4 ram slots that support 1600mhz+ ram, having a PCI-E 3.0 slot instead of a 2.0 and having a onboard usb 3.0 header. I wanted 4 ram slots so I could upgrade to a higher capacity and the usb 3.0 since my case has one. Ram: I chose the G.Skill Sniper ram because it is the cheapest 8GB 1600mhz set available while still being very reliable and having a awesome and functional heat spreader. Storage: I chose the Seagate Barracuda 1TB because it is the cheapest 1TB available while still coming from a very reliable manufacturer. Graphics: I chose the MSI R9 280 as my gpu for its very efficient cooler, overclockability and awesome looks Case: I chose the Fractal Design Core 1000 as my case because it is considered one of the best budget cases on the market. It also has a understated look, high airflow design and usb 3.0 support. Power supply: I chose the EVGA 600B power supply because it is very reliable, has 80+ bronze certification and all the cables are braided. Bluetooth adapter: I chose a ASUS bluetooth adapter because my brother has a bluetooth headset and needs a cheap adapter with good range.

Short introduction Hello, my name is Albert. I live in the Netherlands and have a great passion for building PC's. Why a custom wooden case? Short answer: because I can. Long answer: I really enjoy designing and building custom cases. This is the second wooden case I make. The previous one was a "see if it is possible" build, so more like an experiment instead of a serious build. That build can be found here: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/KXbj4D This wooden case focuses more one the practical aspect of a computer case. That means smaller and full dust protection. About the case itself The case will be almost completely build out of wood. Some pieces will be made of aluminium because of their complexity. The design process took almost 6 months, starting on paper to eventually a 3D drawing in SketchUp. It can hold a 31cm long GPU (there are some high restrictions, so ASUS cards won't fit), an 7,7cm high CPU-cooler (perfect for the Be Quiet! Shadow Rock LP), a normal full-ATX motheboard, one 3.5" HDD, five 2.5" SSD's, 7 80mm 25mm thick fans and a fancontroller + ledcontroller. And all of that in a case which is only 12cm thick. PCPartpicker link https://pcpartpicker.com/b/LN8KHx Specifications The specifications can change later on.
