As someone who is both new to LTT and Floatplane, I often watch on both YouTube and Floatplane. It would be helpful to find the extra content (both new and old) I am supporting if it had an Early Release Tag until it was posted to YouTube, when the tag could be changed to YouTube, and an Exclusive Tag if it would only be found on Floatplane. Thank you for your time anyways cu l8tr. ;) <>BS4Free

In an update sent today to backers, the game Outer Wilds, crowdfunded on Fig, will apparently now be released first on Xbox and PC on Epic. In a campaign update, the team said As a part of the initial campaign, the plan was, which backers contributed with knowing, to release to Steam on PC, Mac, and Linux, alongside Xbox One, all at the same time. Now, support for Mac and Linux are "TBD", and the developers/publisher have not clarified if it will eventually come to Steam. Personally, this is worse than the other exclusivity deals Epic has done, as this was done for a game that was crowdfunded, before they've delivered to their backers. This means that a lot of people likely contributed who play on Mac or Linux, or don't want to use the Epic Store, and are now being told that they might get to play at a later date, but if they want to get the game on launch, it has to be on Xbox or on the Epic Store on PC. At least with other games it was before people had invested money in the game, and if they had, it was pre-orders which could be cancelled. Sources: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-05-12-outer-wilds-becomes-another-epic-games-store-pc-exclusive-and-some-backers-are-not-happy https://www.fig.co/campaigns/outer-wilds/updates/912

Soure The game will also be available on PS4 and Xbox. This seems to be just Epic trying to gain a better foothold to compete with Steam. Many games are also moving platforms due to the reduced cuts that Epic takes. I think that I’m not going to buy the game anyway, mostly because I don’t have $60. I do see how this could upset some people thought. What are your thoughts? Is it a good idea to have exclusive 6 month contacts like this?

Hi everyone. I've been using my Dualshock 4 controller for a few months and it's been working fine, but then one day it just left me stuck out of exclusive mode, and I can't use it properly or play some games on it. Been searching the web the past week, tried formatting my disk twice, but the problem goes on (I installed DS4 Windows the same way back when it used to work without issues). Also gave a shot at InputMapper but couldn't help either. Tried it on another computer and worked fine. What am I missing here, that's probably really obvious? I'm going mad with this situation, I've been thinking about spending 60€ on a new Xbox One Controller, but I just don't wanna do it and then for some reason this one decides to start working again. All the help is appreciated!

When Nvidia recruiter Lisa Calderon about to interview someone, she sets a very exclusive item next to her to get the conversation going, and 100% of the time it always works. The exclusive item is only sold in the Nvidia's internal store, and every time they're release, it's sold out within minutes. This exclusive Nvidia item is the Nvidia Ruler, a typical 12 inch ruler with the inches on one side and centimeters on the other. The idea started back in 2016, when VP of Hardware Engineering at Nvidia, Andrew Bell wanted to give the engineers, something they can easily carry with them to design meetings, but it didn't really set off until he noticed that newly hired engineers, who have just graduated from college, all learned their degree in the digital world and applying that to the real world is something they need to better understand. And so the Nvidia Ruler was born, with the help of another Nvidia engineer, John, who designed the ruler on the same machine Nvidia uses to design their other products. On the ruler are actual size layout of gpus, capacitors, mosfets, socs, and other unique markings, where it helps engineers, not to use things too small or large when creating their designs. The Nvidia rulers sells for $3.50 from their internal store and so far there are 3 ways to get one 1. Get a engineering degree and work at Nvidia 2. Know someone that works there 3. Get it on ebay where it will cost a lot more https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2017/12/22/nvidia-ruler/ https://www.techpowerup.com/239958/not-too-cool-to-rule-one-of-nvidias-most-coveted-products-is-a-ruler

This is my first time posting on the Forum, so if I'm doing something wrong - don't hesitate to tell me and I'll try to do what I can. Also, if this has already been answered, show me where. As many of you know, LMG is making a new Vessel exclusive series - "nerd sports" (ChannelSuperFun). However, many people have complained, because it doesn't seem fair to them that vessel should be getting an exclusive series that requires you to pay. And I'm with them. In fact, Linus said himself that ALL LMG videos will be available on YouTube as well as Vessel. I'd say CSF counts as LMG. Linus even states that after the first year, you won't have to pay to watch his videos. Personally, I don't like this either. Doesn't seem fair to people who don't want to pay for Vessel. The launch video (which is unlisted) is below at the point where he states LMG videos will be all on YouTube. Enderman linked to another thread where Nick responded - sorry I didn't notice that.

Who made the brilliant idea to make a game Windows Store exclusive?? Who does that? I'm just waiting for this to not sell at all and then for the devs to go "PC is a dead platform, we won't make a PC version anymore". There's so much face palm going on here...

Good day to all. I've recently undergone a bit of a transformation in my life. For the first time ever, my desktop computer no longer contains a Microsoft Windows operating system. I've run just about every distro going in the past 10 years or so, and they're all great *forces smile* other than Gentoo. Gentoo is/was not great. I'm using elementaryOS at the moment, on its own, without any kind of VM or similar. The thing I noticed the most since ditching dual booting is not having Grub (pretty sure I see the grub menu in my sleep). Anyway, after giving up playing large amounts of Fifa, I realised that my neediness for Windows was no longer. Stuff I use my PC for: Football Manager (and a handful of other games) Social Media (FB, Twitter, Youtube, LTT Forum) Photo editing (PS AI) Web development (pHp) Light audio recording Music & Videos Online Poker DTP (Documents, Presentations, Spreadsheets) Anyway, I was just wondering what the good folk here are doing that can only be done on Windows? (please don't list your Steam libraries or just say "VIDEO EDITING") Thanks Discuss...

Hello, I have recently started using vessel and I noticed that there seems to be some vessel exclusive content (older than 7 days and not on youtube) Am I missing something or is there vessel exclusive content? I thought it would just be on youtube after 7 days? Examples include: Holy shit- 3.84 tb ssd Lmg team q&a What's on my phone Handy tech under 50$: camera edition Edit: the handy tech episode is 21 days old, even with the 7 day wait period, it still should have been uploaded to youtube 14 days ago, which is way before ces! Screenshot from vessel, sorry to spoil the surprise of some upcoming videos, here you can see that the handy tech episode is 21 days old, and that it no longer has the exclusive tag, although this might be removed automatically. http://imgur.com/UV6Gm7T

The video is called "Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 980 Ti - Both Beauty & Brawn?". It's been on Vessel for 12 days and I have not seen it on YouTube. It was said that it would take exactly one week for videos to be released on YouTube after Vessel, excluding convention type videos. Proof: While on YouTube: Thoughts? Reasons? Lies?

I would like to know if it is worth to buy a PS4 if I have a decent Gaming PC (i7 4790,8Gig Ram,gtx 970) The exclusives of the PS4 looks kinda cool but I know you can't compare PC and PS4 since a high end PC is much more expensive than a ps4 and overall gives you better graphics ect ect.... The thing is, Is it worth buying ONLY for the exclusives or not YET?? Cuz all the other games like Battlefield/Call of Duty/GTA V ect comes out on pc so I prefer to play them on PC..... Its the exclusives that's got my attention...The order/Until dawn/Uncharted ect Last thing, I'm from South Africa and the PS4 here is R6299.00 That is $ 504.75 US Like to hear from you guys!!

It must be 2TB+ and I don't really know any respectable companies when it comes to comparing external HDD's and not internal ones. I would really appreciate if you guys could suggest me something at it. which is not too much pricy but has good performance, not too old-ish and good durability for long years, maybe scratch resistant if possible but im not too picky about that. So, yeah let me know. I love you guys a ton. )

Hey guys, So i had a particular facebook friend who was spewing all kinds of nonsense related to PC gaming myths. I made a status to point him to read, hoping to settle his misconceptions. Can you guys possibly read and give your thoughts?https://www.facebook.com/asbrisco/posts/928783783803510 Thanks again! May your temps be low, and framerates high. UPDATE: Sorry guys, I literally just put up the FB status, so it might not work yet. Here's the content: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, i've been hearing this debate for way too long now about gaming on PC and consoles, along with constant misconceptions related to all gaming platforms. I'm going to knock out the common myths here and now. If you game, and you are interested in this, please continue reading. If not, go about your merry way. I'm not trying to hold a bias towards PC, but these misconceptions need to be addressed. 1) PC GAMING IS EXPENSIVE: Inherently not true. While yes, you can pay a pretty penny to build a kick-ass computer, you can build a PC for the same price of a PS4 or XB-ONE, and easily outperform both. Not to mention that digital distributors like STEAM will sell modern big titles for a fraction of the cost compared to console disk prices. My steam game library (over 100 games) is worth over $1500, but I paid no more than $450 over the span of a few years due to steam sales. 2) PC GAMERS ARE ELITISTS: A common misconception is that people who game on PC hate consoles, and brag about superior resolutions and framerates. Yes, PC games have a better visual experience, with unlocked graphics settings so you can tune graphics or crank them up based on how beefy your hardware is; but consoles have benefits as well. I know plenty of people that play a little bit of everything. 3) CONSOLES ARE EASIER TO PLAY ON: Absolutely. PCs can require maintenance, as well as a learning curve on how to build and properly care for your system. A dedicated gaming console removes most of those headaches and cater to the 'just pick-up and play' mentality. However, both consoles and PCs are prone to hardware failure, because that's just how technology is. 4) FRAMERATES DON'T MATTER/ YOU CAN'T SEE PAST 30 FRAMES PER SECOND: Not true. For those who don't know; FPS or Frames Per Second, is how many images are displayed on screen in the span of a second. The human eye does not see in framerates. There's just a constant flow of information. Higher framerates in games is a simply smoother experience. Consoles (due to limited and unchangeable hardware) often play games at 30 FPS, and seldom 60 FPS. Try this link: 30vs60.com and see the differrence. Higher is better, that's just fact. 5) CONSOLES PROVIDE BETTER MEDIA EXPERIENCES AND PROMOTE INTERACTION WITH FRIENDS: Just like XBox LIVE Party, PC gamers can chat with friends as well, with even more online chat experiences. Theres Steam friend chat, Skype, Google Hangouts, teamspeak, Voovoo, TinyChat, C3, RazerCOMMS, ETC. And all the media apps on console like Netflix and HULU? Those were on PC long before gaming consoles. Consoles are just easier to use. 6) CONSOLES HAVE EXCLUSIVE GAMES, WHILE PC DOES NOT: Not true. I love playing Halo and super smash brothers, but PC has plenty of games that consoles may or may not ever have. here's a list of pc exclusives: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PC-exclusive_games 7) YOU CAN'T SIT ON A COUCH AND GAME ON PC ON A BIG TV WITH A CONSOLE CONTROLLER. False. plug your computer into a tv like you would a monitor, and BAM, you can play on a big screen. Plug a controller into a USB port on your PC, and almost all games support a controller. 8) YOU CANT GAME LOCALLY WITH FRIENDS ON PC: Also false. There's plenty of games that are very fun to play four player split screen on a tv, just like a console. My favorite example of this is Broforce. Look up that game, it's super fun. And PC exclusive (that's solving myths 6, 7 and 8 at the same time!) 9) PCS CONSTANTLY NEED UPRGADES TO PLAY MODERN GAMES: Nope. A solid build with the right parts with last for a LONG time. A computer with 8 year old parts will still run every game. Not to mention the fact that when new consoles release, the old consoles usually stop getting support or new games, although the xbox 360 and xbox one are a different case, same as the sony consoles' ps3 and ps4. 10) BUILDING A PC IS HARD: New learners might have a tough time at first, but it's really as simple as following directions and doing your research. Theres thousands of tutorials to build a PC, and videos to give you the know- how to make you look like the family tech smarty pants. If you want to learn, go to LinusTechTips here: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXuqSBlHAE6Xw-yeJA0Tunw Linus is awesome, and I learned EVERYTHING from his videos. That wraps it up, guys. If you read thus far, I wanna say thanks. I hope this was educational and enlightening. Lemme know in the comments if you want to learn more. May your temperatures stay low, and your framerates high.

Link to the interview; pictures and material taken from: http://www.gamingface.com/?p=1240 "Bruce Dell is the brain behind Euclideon, the Australian start-up that has been in and out of the news for many years now with updates on their Unlimited Detail technology, a technology which uses a point search algorithm to produce stunning computer graphics at a fraction of the system resource cost of the current polygon system that is hegemonic to computing worldwide. It’s revolutionary stuff, although critics say it’s only potentially revolutionary and really harsh critics even say it’s a hoax! Most recently, the company released a video titled Euclideon SOLIDSCAN – Capture Reality. The video shows footage of the real world scanned using their SOLIDSCAN technology and then reproduced. It’s enticing to think what game developers, building construction and other industries can do with this technology. But not everyone’s convinced and there is a pattern to the questions and comments being posted on YouTube, social media and forums. So, Bruce Dell has kindly agreed to answer some of those common questions …" " Johnny Gatt: Hi Bruce thanks for joining us. Can you tell us a bit about Euclideon? Bruce Dell: Sure, thanks for having me, Euclideon is an Australian company that is trying to rebuild every part of 3D graphics in a better way. Most graphics we use in the world today are made of polygons, which are like little flat pieces of cardboard. This system is very limited and it’s not very good at doing certain tasks. We are making 3D graphics out of little xyz atoms instead, this allows us to make graphics that are much better and a lot more like the real world." Full interview: http://www.gamingface.com/?p=1240

Source: http://www.pcgamesn.com/directx-112-will-combine-gpu-and-system-ram-super-textures-exclusive-windows-81 What do you guys think of this?Would you upgrade to window 8.1 just to use DirectX 11.2? I think it is interesting now that system ram can be use to improve texture details.Maybe now we could see more than 8gb of RAM needed for gaming.

There is news that the BlackBerry Messenger is coming to IOS and Android, and now there seems to be some conflicting stories about whether it will be exclusively available to Samsung's Galaxy device for three months. Supersanusi from techsuplex.com claimed that he got a tip from email that Samsung got a BlackBerry Messenger exclusive for three months, started from 19th Sept, and Samsung Nigera "confirmed" it via twitter. https://twitter.com/samsungmobileng/status/379669888903958528 But when NerdBerry reach out to BlackBerry for confirmation of the story, BBM Communications Director at BlackBerry, Victoria Berry replied, So here we have a conflicted story. Supersanusi stated on his twitter that he's not sure whether the exclusive is only in Africa, or for the rest of the word as well. We may need to wait till the BBM is out to know who's right. http://www.techsuplex.com/2013/09/16/bbm-samsung-galaxy/?utm_content=bufferb175c&utm_source=buffer&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Buffer http://nerdberry.net/2013/09/16/samsung-confirms-bbm-and-exclusively-for-3-months/ update: Android Central has an article about this story, and post an statement from BlackBerry http://www.androidcentral.com/bbm-android-won-t-be-exclusive-samsung-devices-after-all

Post at /. Google Fiber Partially Reverses Server Ban As someone who does not have Google Fiber, or a server that would utilize the internet much beyond torrenting, this doesn't really affect me. I particularly like the multi-player gaming part however. Anyone in Austin or Kansas City with a server for LTT Forums? BF4 maybe? Just saying. Google is (was) often painted as the good guy in the tech industry. At least from all the things I've seen regarding news involving them. Although I personally find their changes to Youtube and their integration of accounts absolutely terrible as it has been, I'm glad they still tend to be reasonable about things like this, services they provide and how their users are allowed to use them. Anyone else have thoughts on this? About Google's actions lately (on all fronts), or specifically this change in policy, even if it is small.
