Hey, i am currently looking for a tablet (android) that is suitable for note taking and annotating large pdf files. I have kind of fallen in love with the Lenovo P11 Pro 2nd Gen, but the fact that the pen that goes with it is out of stock since it was announced more than six months ago i have little hope of ever being able to buy that and i am kind of worried that long reading and staring at the same page for a while might degrade the OLED panel fairly quickly. The non Pro Version would be an alternative, but no one seems to know what pen works with it, since people have claimed that only certain version of Lenovos Precicion Pen 2 will work... (For some reason there are 3 different once, all with the same name...) The Yoga Tab 13 also has Stylus support and being bigger would be great for note taking. My main problem is Stylus support is kind of broad thing. Some are really really bad, others are great. My general premise so far has been that active Pens using AES 2.0 should be all the same, since thats a wacom standart apparently. They should also all work with the same pens. Lenovos Precision Pen 2 is apparently AES 2.0, and according to lenovo it works with the Yoga Tab 13, however lenovos sales team was unable to confirm any of that. They basically just told me that they are all perfect and i should get whatever i want... Do you have any other recommendation that i should consider or some insights you want to share with me? I appreciate every bit of information on this since none of the manufacturers seem to give out these information on there own... The last time i used something with a stylus was a Lenovo Thinkpad yoga running windows, and it was terrible.

I have never drawn on any drawing Tablets other than Etchasketch. Thinking of exploring my long lost love for drawing but dont wanna make a mess with papers and Colors. Hence i was looking into Wacom tablets but i donno how much is worth spending to learn, and just want it to be a one time investment.

the GAOMON PD1161 vs the XP Pen Artist 12 PS. The XP Pen Artist 12 is usually the same price as the GAOMON PD1161 so the price will go down in a few days https://www.amazon.com/XP-PEN-Artist12-Battery-Free-Multi-Function-Sensitivity/dp/B07GNK18VJ/ref=sxin_4_ac_d_rm?ac_md=2-1-eHAgcGVuIGFydGlzdCAxMg%3D%3D-ac_d_rm&cv_ct_cx=xp+pen&dchild=1&keywords=xp+pen&pd_rd_i=B07GNK18VJ&pd_rd_r=2db8a22f-55b1-447e-812e-25edbed4525e&pd_rd_w=VANLp&pd_rd_wg=q3Opr&pf_rd_p=ab7e4d6d-4494-43e9-8915-3a4910aefd56&pf_rd_r=DP379SGW14XQ7G31B0H5&psc=1&qid=1587508366&sr=1-2-12d4272d-8adb-4121-8624-135149aa9081 https://www.amazon.com/GAOMON-Support-Pressure-Sensitive-Shortcut/dp/B07YFG742J/ref=sr_1_5?crid=E3SAVM3O6RFP&dchild=1&keywords=gaomon+pd1560&qid=1587508402&s=electronics&sprefix=GAOMON%2Celectronics%2C357&sr=1-5

Hello. I have some technical maintenance and know-how but this one is truly bizarre and beyond me. Please excuse my long post. I just want to make sure I'm as thorough as possible. I also apologize if the post is hard to understand. This issue was very confusing to document and present because I didn't know when or where to even start. Problem: The computer enters a state where a certain set of programs will not launch. This state persists through reboots. Everything else functions normally. When does it happen (Bear with me here): While it is in this weird state, I will occasionally do something hardware related in my tower, such as take out the video card or replace the case. When I put it back together, There is a high chance it gets out of this state. The last time it got out of this state was very recently when I moved to a new house and re-assembled my setup including taking out and putting the video card back in for transit. When it is out of this state, it will boot normally and function normally for a handful of times, usually 1-3 days. I average turning on and shutting down my PC about 3 times a day, and keep it on for up to 4 hours on end. After the 2-3 day mark, a very weird boot sequence happens. Normally, it goes from showing on one of the monitors the motherboard logo and then the Windows 10 loading, and to the login screen within 10 seconds. As far as I can tell, it is a perfectly healthy boot and everything works as expected. I will try my best to record a video of this happening. After the 2-3 day mark, after I turn my PC on, all 3 of my screens will be black for about 10 seconds. The lights blink on them as if they are receiving no input. After these 10 seconds, the motherboard logo is skipped. Windows loading takes just a bit longer than usual. When it gets to the login screen, neither my mouse and keyboard (perhaps all USB devices but I can't be sure) don't work for about 10 seconds. My keyboard's backlights are not even illuminated, if that means anything. Once they start up, I get to log in. After logging in, it will play a sound of a USB device being plugged in and then being unplugged. Then it will show a notification of a USB device not being recognized. Every USB device I plugged in (hardware list at bottom of post) functions normally, so I'm not sure what it even is. The PC has, at this point, entered the state. After this state has begun, a certain set of programs will not launch. By this I mean that I try running them and nothing shows up. I think the process is in Task Manager though I can't be sure. This includes the following programs: Corsair Utility Engine, Corsair's keyboard macro and backlight setting program Battle.net, Blizzard's game launcher (it tries to launch and the error reporting window comes up without showing) PlaysTV, a passive game recording software Bethesda Games launcher When it started: The cycle of normal -> weird state -> normal began about 3-4 months ago. The first time it happened was when I wrapped up my tower, drawing tablet (as a monitor) keyboard, mouse, microphone and headphones, and made a pretty smooth 1 hour car transit, and re-set up my PC somewhere else. My workaround: I have a multi-monitor setup (hardware list at the bottom of the post), and switching from Extended view to Duplicate view on all my monitors lets me manually launch the programs I need. They function perfectly normal after I switch back to Extended. Why this works, I have no earthly clue. Maybe there's a hint here for those of you who know more than I. Stuff I have tried: Reinstall Windows/uninstall recent programs/isolate software. I have tried reinstalling Windows 10 from a USB key (not its own recovery system) and the issue persists through it. It happens on clean Windows 10 installations once it is in the state. Try to isolate what device may be causing it. I have tried all the peripherals. It happened through all of the combinations. I have not tried taking out RAM sticks or the video card or anything like that. I will gladly retry peripherals if someone thinks it is necessary though. Change video card PCIE lane. The act of opening up my PC and tampering around with it, like I mentioned before, fixed it for 2-3 days. Then the weird boot sequence happened eventually and it started again. Googling it. Believe me I have tried every possible related Google query under the sun. My guesses: Please don't read this unless you have no clue either. I wouldn't want my unsophisticated guesswork to be the basis of someone's theory. Anything else out of the ordinary? When I plug in a USB device or HDMI monitor, my headphones (not usb, but ¼” converted with 3.5 mm adapter plugged into front of PC case) play or make up to 5 loud “click” sounds after the USB detected sound. My mouse and keyboard are both by Corsair, but they use different softwares for the extra features such as Macros and what not. Corsair Utility Engine for keyboard, and Corsair M95 Gaming Mouse Configuration for the mouse. While in the state, although the keyboard software does not load at all, the mouse one does. Interestingly, the mouse software does not actually do anything. None of my macros or sensitivity settings work until I do the workaround and launch my keyboard software, after which the mouse functions as normal. I suppose I should also mention that the case USB 3.0 ports don’t work, but the 2.0 ones do. Very likely because I didn’t wire it up properly. Case is Define R5. Parts List (let me know if I didn’t include something you feel is necessary): Motherboard: ........................ Gigabyte Z97X-SLI GPU: ...................................... XFX R9 290 CPU: ...................................... Intel i7 4970K Mouse:................................... Corsair Vengeance M95 Keyboard:............................... Corsair K70 WiFi:....................................... USB-AC55R (listed because it’s a USB device. Issue was existed even when I was on ethernet) Microphone:........................... Rode NT-USB Monitor #1: ............................ Some generic AOC 23 inch, wired DVI to R9 290 Monitor #2: ............................ Some generic AOC 22 inch, wired DVI to R9 290 Monitor/Drawing tablet:......... Monoprice MP-22 inch, wired HDMI to R9 290, wired USB 2.0 Male to USB 2.0 Male to the motherboard. Please, any and all help is very appreciated. Suggestions/advice/hints/guesses, I'll take anything. Again, sorry for the long post.

I want to dabble in digital art and wanted some recommendations on tablets. I don't know where to start, but do know I want one I can simply plug in over USB to my PC or MacBook Pro and do some quick drawings with my stylus from time to time.

question is in the title, just has to be compatible with windows and not too big or unconventional. preferable something that is not too heavy since my guess is that it will be used with a laptop, but its no must by any means.

I'm doing a DIY drawing monitor: I've made some progress making the concept work, but hit a brick wall after knowing that my current tablet does not support screen mapping. Looking to sell my current tablet and buy the best tablet with screen mapping with the money I have. The stores and product pages I've looked at so far mostly don't indicate if the table/software does support it. So any suggestions on tablets which has this feature? Thanks in advance

My girlfriend mentioned to me recently that she wanted to pick drawing back up again, and remembering I had an old monoprice tablet (model twa60), I dug it up out of the box I had it in and plugged it into her PC. Only then did I realize that the drivers required for it were on a disk somewhere in my parents basement hundreds of miles away from me. I've searched high and low online for downloadable drivers. The merchant's site has been entirely redone, to the point where they don't even have that model even listed, let alone driver support for it. The other sites claiming to have a download have been reported to most likely contain various nasty things that no one would ever want on their computer. I've contacted monoprice, only to get no response back. The tablet is usable, it just doesn't have pressure sensitivity, and that's really what I'm trying to fix here. Am I completely screwed? Or could there possibly be another way around this? We're working with windows 10 here. Not sure if system specs is actually needed for this one.

After plugging in my drawing tablet and trying to install its drivers my mouse and keyboard won’t work. Their lights will turn on for a few seconds and then they shutdown and I cant find a way to fix it. When the lights are on the keyboard and mouse won’t function. I’ve tried to use different ports and a different keyboard but it also won’t work. Thanks for any help given. update- mouse and keyboard both work in the bios update 2 - reinstalling windows, hope this solves it

I've just received my drawing tablet and I was wondering what drawing software can do the ff and how I can: 1. Automatically redraw rectangle (basically any shape) after I drew it (since when I draw on paint, my shapes look a little off). 2. When I write letters, it changes the format suitable to my liking (I have a software right now that when I write something, it automatically changes the format, so far it has 99% accuracy but was wondering if such a feature exist on drawing software). 3. Straighten the line when I'm drawing one. I plan to use this to make mockup designs on my applications.
