Yeah I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm trying to go through Citra's, pcsx2's, and dolphins forums and organize all their content because I got tired of trying to find it, and then having to try to find it again. I just want an easy way to view patch's files and what not and keep it organized on my pc so I don't have to download things 10,000 times. Though I'm planning on uploading everything eventually to my next cloud instance, and eventually a wiki (wiki advice also welcomed), I figure I should at lest figure out how I'm gonna store it first so here I am. If someone has suggestions I'd greatly apricate it, but I've taken to dos because... the only other coding language I know is HTML/CSS and I don't think I can style my way out of this mess. I'm not set on dos. but o3o it's the only langage i kind of know. My code: md "\.Hack Part 1 - Infection" md "\.Hack Part 1 - Infection\fix" md "\.Hack Part 1 - Infection\fix\blur" md "\.Hack Part 1 - Infection\fix\render" md "\.Hack Part 1 - Infection\cheat" md "\.Hack Part 1 - Infection\res" md "\.Hack Part 1 - Infection\res\16:9" md "\.Hack Part 1 - Infection\res\16:10" md "\.Hack Part 1 - Infection\res\21:9" md "\.Hack Part 1 - Infection\res\32:9" md "\.Hack Part 1 - Infection\res\eyefinity" md "\.Hack Part 1 - Infection\texture" md "\.Hack Part 2 - Mutation" md "\.Hack Part 2 - Mutation\fix" md "\.Hack Part 2 - Mutation\fix\blur" md "\.Hack Part 2 - Mutation\fix\render" md "\.Hack Part 2 - Mutation\cheat" md "\.Hack Part 2 - Mutation\res" md "\.Hack Part 2 - Mutation\res\16:9" md "\.Hack Part 2 - Mutation\res\16:10" md "\.Hack Part 2 - Mutation\res\21:9" md "\.Hack Part 2 - Mutation\res\32:9" md "\.Hack Part 2 - Mutation\res\eyefinity" md "\.Hack Part 2 - Mutation\texture" Please save me... Also is their no post preveiw? Q.Q Thank you in advance, Wove ya faces Q.Q!!!!! Mairu P.s i'm not sure if i'm allowed to post links to my google sheet page so... o,...,o um hi no ban me!

Hi, I have the following problem: We have an old (almost ancient) PC in the company that has been running the same software for about 20 years. The software is indispensable for us and there are no versions for newer operating systems. The PC is now getting slower and slower and with every day we have the risk that the hard disk dies and with it the software is lost. The original installation file is on a floppy disk, but we have no idea if it is still readable and would have to buy a floppy reader first. My task now is to get the whole thing running safely with as little money as possible. It is about a logistic software, with which we calculate costs for framing paintings. We really need to be able to print from this software. With DOSBox, the program runs on Windows 10, but we can not print. A few IT people before me have already tried to start the whole thing via DOSprint, but that doesn't work either (according to them). The next problem: We don't have a test PC, so I have to develop a working system first so we can buy the things we need. I thought of the following: Either I build a cheap Win10 machine and try it with DOSBox and DOSprint, or I try to get the right hardware for an XP machine from somewhere, then clone the hard disk from the old PC and then put it into the new XP PC. Does this sound feasible? What would you guys recommend? Thanks

Jordan vs Bird was more popular on consoles, you might best remember it either on the Amiga or NES. This is really a piece of my early DOS gaming history and first EA game of that era. Back then I was a fan of Sierra games so this EA game was a rarity since I preferred the NHL Hockey series when the mid-90s arrived. Front of the box with the retro EA logo: Back of the box with a fairly close example of how EGA graphics looked back in the late 80s and the computer requirements clearly listed. Carefully look at the early DRM wheel card and the simple EA label on the floppy disk--paper & floppy disk didn't yellow too much from age. Didn't include the install manual as it just said "Make a backup copy of your game disk" then listed a usual install how-to or running it off a floppy. This game could be copied to a floppy and ran directly off a custom boot disk if you didn't have a HDD or lacked storage space. Oldest PC I tried this game on was a school Tandy greyscale laptop back in the early 90s, it actually ran quite smooth from a floppy drive. It was possible to play using a keyboard or two joysticks/gamepads. Back then I had a "Made in Canada" Gravis Gamepad which worked great for this, yes it still works if you're wondering Stay tuned for another retro unboxing (had to use a Thinkpad as a table cloth or wood desk kept making the text appear too blurry/washed out, if you're wondering its a T430--planning to switch to a Dell Precision pre-loaded with Ubuntu soon)

Hi guys, like any other quarentine day, I had nothing to do, so I decided to dig up some stuff inside my room, and throw away some trash, when I stumbled into some old PC parts. (pictures will be provided). I have always been interested in old pc games and computers, so I saw this as an opportunity to build a pc for dos games (Instead of using a VM or DosBox). My idea is to try and find the missing parts to build the computer and install Win98 SE. I've powered the board once (nothing exploded or catched on fire), but I didn't get a post (probably because I don't have RAM or a buzzer to bip the error code). The hardware I found is the following: - P2XBL REV.D1 Motherboard - Intel Pentium II (B80523P350512E) 350MHz I think - PCI modem card with a PCtel PCT789T-A chip - S3 Trio 3D AGP365 4MB - ISA Sound Blaster Compatible Card with a 82C933 I want to know what you guys think. Should I build it, or just keep this stored in a box for the rest of my life? I can't upload everything because of the 20 MB limit, sorry!

Can I build a msDOS or FreeDos rig that can run the software natively, such as sound, with newly manufactured parts that are still in production today? Also not to be rude and just for safety, I didn't ask for an opinion, so don't give it.

Hey Linus Tech Tips, I've been wondering where I might be able to find the PC gaming classic from the MS-DOS days known as Dungeon Master. I've checked both GOG and Steam, but neither turned up any results. Anyone got any tips?

Hi, I'm looking for some help troubleshooting my bios update issue. I'm trying to update my motherboard's bios from 1.30 to the new 2.50 bios. The bios 1.30 version does not have instant flash, so updating from DOS is the only option. I am following this guide from Asrock: http://www.asrock.com/support/BIOSIG.asp?cat=DOS8 I finish step 4, but instead going to step 5 (the BIOS updating), I get booted back to DOS or my Windows installation, depending on which primary bootdrive I choose. Does anyone have a clue as to what could be causing this issue? So far I've tried: Creating a pendrive version of both FreeDOS and MS DOS 98. Updating to both 1.4 and 2.5. Made the pendrive my dafult boot drive Disconnected my windows drive. Each time I get the same dialogue in DOS as the guide does Thanks in advance.

So I'm wanting to build a retro machine, kind of like what Lazy Game Reviews has with the Lazy Green Machine and the Megalinium Monster, but I'm not sure where to properly start, like I have a few clues as to good older hardware like the Voodoo cards that seem to be pretty good and hold up well in the modern day, but what are some other good brands and things I will absolutely need? I'd also love it if I didn't have to like buy a new monitor to go along with said machine. I'm just in the pre-planning stages so budget is questionable at the moment. Also What are some thing to be aware of or avoid? Should Probably Give More Detail about what I'm hoping to run and play on it: So I'm looking to play games on the spectrum from Commander Keen to POD(I think that's what it's called) to the original NFS games and maybe if possible the old Hot Wheels FMV type games. I'm looking to have a Disc Drive, a 3.5in Floppy Drive, a 5.25 Floppy Drive, I'd also like a halfway decent sound card if someone can recommend one.

Hey y'all, So my dad is cleaning up his place and is thinking of scrapping his old PC. Iirc had DOS and Windows (3.0 or 3.1) running on it. I decided to come here, cause why not. I'm probably gonna get flamed for not posting pictures or specs on the machine, but I'll do it if people are really interested (specs are gonna be tricky cause I'm not sure how to get it on an old machine and don't want to open it up). Please let me know your thoughts about it as he's thinking of throwing it out tomorrow (I'm in EST if that matters to people).

G'day folks, I'm new here so I'm not sure exactly which forum I should post this to, but since this is a non-windows topic, I thought I might slide in. I'm also relatively new in the PC-building world and have recently taken a genuine interest in older PCs. But anyway, here's my question: Can any of you folks tell me how I can build a DOS gaming PC? I'm looking to run classics like Doom, Fallout and Daggerfall. This may be a much easier thing to look for than I realise but I'm just unsure of where the first place to look would be.
