Hey lovely people of the community! I am planning to build a new Ryzen PC and I could really do with some advice from a bit more tech savvy guys out here. Before getting into the configurations and my usage, I would like to point out that I am an absolute noob when it comes to the technical details. I for sure know what frequency and clock speed etc is, but I have absolutely zero idea what things like L3 cache, latencies, CCX modules etc mean. Also I donot understand how those fancy bars and benchmarks exactly function, so I request you guys to please give me suggestions bearing in mind that I am a complete layman So I am a designer and animator. My primary usage is going to be Adobe After effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator, while I also plan to start using Cinema 4D soon. I do not play games and do not intend to overclock my system. After an intensive research during the lockdown months I came up with the following build Ryzen 7 3700X MSI B450 Tomahawk Max GEFORCE GTX 1650 Super DDR4 [3200MHz] 16/32 GB RAM (Depending on the budget) Samsung 860 QVO [1 TB] WD Green [240 GB] Antec VP550 But then AMD introduced the 5000 series and put me in a serious dilemma. Now the build I am planning is Ryzen 5 5600X MSI B550 A-Pro GEFORCE GTX 1650 Super DDR4 [3200MHz] 16/32 GB RAM (Depending on the budget) Samsung 860 QVO [1 TB] WD Green [240 GB] Antec VP550 (Kindly note that since I do not plan to play games, I do not need the fancy Nvidia 3000 series or the AMD 6000 series GPUs) So now the dilemma I am facing is, should I go with the 3700x build or the 5600x one? (Since both are almost in the same price range). Will the changed architectures and design make a difference for the type of usage that I am planning? From what I have read and understood, I have come to the conclusion that, if I get the 3700x at a substantially lower cost than the 5600x (around $40-$50 difference), then I'll go for the 3700x, orelse I will go for the 5600x. Also I would really REALLY appreciate it if you guys could help me with a step by step guide on how I can optimize the performance of the PC, I've heard that Ryzen does weird stuff with RAM speeds and stuff. Hello, I want to buy a new computer for myself. I used the posting guide to ease your process. Budget: 1650USD. Location: USA Aim: gaming: mainly bf1. programming: python in pycharm, android studio, matlab, visual studio, eclipse, assembly and web developping in brackets. Designing and editing: not that much, a little bit after effects and photoshop. 3. Monitors: 1 1440p or FHD monitor 60hz. No need for more monitors. Peripherals: Any recommendation for a monitor? differnet budget, in the 24inch size range, 27 to big. 5. Why are you upgrading? cause my old computer isnt strong enough for me. lasted for 5 years Thanks!

Hi, I'm looking for a laptop for both work and recreational purposes. I am a multimedia designer, I do illustrations, 2D animations, graphic design etc. I need a laptop with great colour accuracy and really good future proofed performance in gaming. I also don't want to be spending like crazy amounts of money, but if push comes to shove I guess I'll have to. So far the only one I think of really is the Gigabyte Aero 15, with a 24 gig RAM config for rendering animations. Other than that I can't find any other options. Please help with any recommendations! Basically: Great colour accuracy (don't need anything more than 1080p res) 1060 or higher gpu Lots of RAM for rendering At least 1TB of storage Decent price :\ Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, I am wondering if there are any good IPS (can also be any other panel type, as long as it has good color representation) monitors for gaming and graphic designing under 400$? Min. resolution is 1920 x 1080, don't really need higher, but if there is any higher resolution monitors i would not mind. Also I don't play a lot of FPS games, but refresh rate higher than 60Hz would be great. Thanks!

I'm using the metric system with my dimensions. The case dimensions are 64 x 27 x 78 (Length x Width x Height (cm)) I will upload a image of a sketched out front view of what I am planning on putting in the case in a hour. I use autodesk inventor Professional 2020 for modeling in cad.

I'll be using the Adobe CC suite (mostly Photoshop, Illustraitor, After Effects, and Premiere) for graphic design and YouTube creation. However, I also like dabbling in 3d modeling for games, using 3ds max, ZBrush, Unity and the Unreal Ngine and would like to keep the hobby up. AND I'd like to do some gaming as well. Does anyone own a rendering farm? I am really interested in building a good rendering farm that can render large scenes quickly? Do i need a Good GPU/ CPU and ram ? I am not gonna build it anytime soon, I am only asking so that i can start saving some money for future(may be a year or 2).
