I have enjoyed my Deathadder 2013 since about 2015. Its lasted me a good long while, and it feels really good still after over half a decade later. However, i believe the mouse switches to have become less responsive and wanted to replace them. I don't know where i could go to get replacement/ upgraded switches, or quite how to do it. but that's not why I'm here. What im wondering is if it is possible to do more major modifications such as a custom firmware update to allow it to communicate with razer synapse 3, replacing the green LED on the back with a Chroma LED, and my biggest question is if it would be possible, or even helpful, to upgrade the cable to USB 3 instead of the current USB 2. who knows, i might go farther and replace everything with a better mouse, but keep the shell because i love the shape/weight/ low number of buttons, (would prefer up to 5 but no more probably, wait, i could mod those in maybe) sorry for the rant, id just like to be pointed at the right resources as i looked and couldnt find them. i assume its not under warranty anymore... its been 6 years.

Hey! So, I've been using the Logitech G600 ever since I ditched the mouse that came with my old computer several years ago. I love it to death and particularly love the "third click." I have it bound to "r" so I don't have to reach and touch r to reload mid fight. Anyway, the point of this post is that I'm looking for a new mouse. I'd like to use my thumb. I know that the G600 has more buttons than I know what to do with (I think that's part of the problem, and I hate whatever type of switch they used.), but I want fewer, larger buttons. I particularly like Razer's implementation on their Deathadder and Mamba. I'm currently leaning towards getting the Overwatch Mamba because I'm a big fan of Overwatch (it's what I mostly play nowadays) and I like the buttons. I've heard that some of Logitech's other mice are really good though. Ideally, I'd like to take what I have, lower the left side a little, and change the side panel out for one with two side buttons with better switches (like Razer's). Is there anyway that I could meld two mice together without destroying both? Any super customizable mice? Are there any other mice with a third click that don't have 8 million side buttons? Any suggestions? For anyone who doesn't know what I mean when talking about the switches, Razer's are like the right and left click buttons. I don't really know how to describe Logitech's. They aren't squishy like a membrane keyboard but that's the closest comparison I can think of. TL:DR: I like my G600, but I wish it was a little smaller and had different side buttons.

I've just received my new Razer DeathAdder Elite, I went to configure the buttons in my games but when I try to assign the 2 new buttons behind the scroll wheel to an ingame function, it doesn't even register as a button being pressed... Can I not assign these buttons to mouse button 6 and 7 and then be able to assign them to ingame functions?

Hey guys, as the title already says I would like to know if the two buttoms bneath the micewheel are programable for macros. I would like to know if there is a chance to switch the DPI with those two buttons. Does anyone have the experience with this?

Hi, guys! The day has come - my already quite damaged mouse has officially broken. I've been using it for almost 10 years and if the cable didn't become faulty, I'd probably still use it. It was an A4tech X-710F. I've seen many mice in stores, but I was never able to find any that was close to its level of comfort. But now I have to pick another one. For the past few hours, I've been using a wireless mouse from my laptop as a replacement. That was more than enough to make my make up my mind - I want a very decent wireless mouse. After some amount of in-shop testing, I've found one mouse that is quite similar to the one I've been using - Razer Deathadder. In Poland, it can be found cheaply online, but I wouldn't want to go wired again. I have bought a Razer keyboard around a year ago and I'm very happy with it and its build quality. I have a Razer mousepad too, so the branding continuity would be nice, but not necessary. Anyway, few moments of research later I've come across a wireless mouse that (judging by opinions and comparison photos) is almost the same in size and shape - Razer Mamba Elite 4G (because I don't have money for the 5G model). However, I can't be exactly sure about that, since I can't test it anywhere nearby, but I'll keep looking. There is also one mouse that I remember that I like and can get at a pretty good price, but I'm not sure that I'll like for longer periods of time - the Logitech MX Master. And so I'm not sure which one to choose or if there is any better at all :\ I deeply hope that you'll be able to help me decide! If you have some experience with those, want to share an opinion or suggest something else then feel free to do so! I don't care about RGB or branding - I want it to be similar in terms of comfort with Razer Deathadder (smaller is ok, but not bigger), new, if possible wireless, work for years and to cost around 65$ with a maximum of 80$. Huge thanks in advance, Thomas

Hi I've had the Razer Deathadder Chroma for about 3 years. A few months ago the cursor started getting stuck and the scroll wheel started registering twice when I clicked it. At first I thought it was a problem with drivers. I uninstalled the drivers and installed the newest one available but the issue remained. Then I thought that something inside the mouse is broken but after trying out the mouse on my laptop I realised that none of the glitching happened. Can anyone help? System: AMD R5 1600 @ 3.8GHz Corsair LPX 16Gb @ 2400MHz Asus Strix B350F Asus Strix RX480 Crucial 525Gb ssd Thanks in advance!

I got a razer deathadder elite 8-10 months ago, now it is having issues, for starters the right click will go in and out in games, normally right clicking will work, but if I hold it down it won't respond properly, like if I'm aiming down sights on a game it goes in and out after 10-20 seconds it either gives up or finally holds it down. secondly, i think I reset the mouse (has nothing to do with right click issue) lights won't respond either will DPI, I've tried random combinations it won't undo this, I've uninstalled all my drivers for my mouse reinstalled them, unplugged the mouse, tried different USB, even wait 5 mins in case it was overheating somehow, none of this works, I've looked at the tight right click space, there's nothing under it and clicks feel normal.

Hey all, TLDR: Need a mouse suggestion for Lightroom and Photoshop that works on both MacOS and Windows, with a slight gaming consideration down the road. No set budget. First post here, but have been a LTT fan for years. I'm looking for a mouse suggestion, and I've preliminarily narrowed my search to the Razer Deathadder Elite vs the Logitech G502 Hero. More on that below, but first, what I need the mouse for... I've recently gotten into personal photography with a Sony a6400 and want to set up an editing station for Lightroom and Photoshop primarily. Eventually, I may build a gaming rig, and right now I normally play Diablo 3 and Indie titles on Steam. There's a very small possibility I'll get into FPS games, but that won't be the primary focus for this mouse. The last mouse I owned (back in 2015/2016) was a Madcatz R.A.T. (don't remember which version specifically). I really liked it's customization because I use a pretty shallow claw grip and I liked the variable weights. But do I really need those features for a creative workflow? I know that the Deathadder Elite is considered a budget mouse, and that the G502 Hero is a bit pricier, so for my use case what would you suggest? Perhaps there's a 3rd option that might fit my use case better? I don't have a set budget, but let's not go crazy here. Finally, the kicker is that I'll primarily use it on MacOS for the editing bits, but will use it on Windows for gaming and when I work from home. So if possible, the features should be compatible with both OS. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

My brother and I both have Razer Deathadder Elite Mice. I have never experienced the issue, but he frequently complains that lifting the mouse off of the mat causes it to freeze. After some investigation, I noticed that lifting the mouse a few times (causing it to freeze) would make it disappear from razer synapse, and then reappear a few seconds later. He's tried cleaning the sensor with a Q tip, any suggestions? It's about three years old now so maybe it needs to be replaced.

I've been using a Deathadder 3.5G for 10 years. It's finally time to upgrade and I can't decide what to get. The obvious choice would be the Deathadder v2 as it's the direct successor to the mouse I've used for the past decade, but I've been looking at other more lightweight mice and the Model D has really captured my interest. I also heard that there will be a Model D- coming out very soon so I am tempted to wait for that. I use a hybrid palm/fingertip grip and play FPS games but also use my computer for productivity and other tasks. I've never tried a mouse with holes before so I'm worried that it will feel less comfortable. Which mouse should I get?

I just received my Razer death adder essential yesterday and tried it out today, for some reason, while playing classic wow on my MacBook Air it lags when I move the camera with the left mouse click, but it works perfectly fine when using the right one, there is only lag with the left button, before using this mouse I used to use a Razer death adder I bought in 2012 and I tested it after seeing what happened with the new mouse, the old mouse works just fine and doesn't lag the game, I also had a mamba which didn't lag the game either tough I no longer have that mouse. the trackpad can also move the camera without any issue. I bought a Razer Death adder off eBay and it finally arrived yesterday. I tried downloading the Razer software to turn off the LEDs since my PC is in my bedroom but the software doesn't detect the mouse. Also, not sure if this is part of the Death adder or not, but the front side button is actually the back button and the rear side button is the forward. I tried downloading the Razer Synapse software to try to control it but it wouldn't detect the mouse so I can't change any settings. I knew it was coming from China, but I was assuming it was just coming off the factory there and someone was selling it off cheap. I went back today and looked at the listing again and it turns out it turns out it's not really a Razer, just made from Razer parts (mostly). I tried emailing the seller to see if they knew how to get the Razer software to work or if there was an alternate software that worked, but their response, in broken English, just said something to the effect of "Sorry you're having problems, how about we refund 30%?" Currently using my baseball cap to cover the mouse at night so I can sleep without having to disconnect the plug from the back of my computer and plug it back in every morning. Anybody else have any experience with these?

I'm planning to upgrade my peripherals in a few months. The store I want to buy them from (in SE Asia) doesn't have a lot of options, but their prices are great. I have already settled on a keyboard and headset, but I'm still stuck on the mouse. I have filtered all the mouses the store sells down to two options: Logitech G402 or Razer DeathAdder Elite. The G402 is sold for $41 in my store while the Deathadder Elite is sold for retail price ($69.99). I know that the G402 has a pretty good sensor for fast movements and tons of customisability with the buttons. For the low price, you get what you pay for. The DeathAdder is a much more iconic mouse renowned for its ergonomics and more accurate PMW3389 sensor, and also has customisable buttons, RGB lighting, and a braided cable. However, I do not know if these extra features are worth the extra $30. My planned setup if anybody was wondering: Razer Blackwidow Chroma v2 ($169.99) Razer Kraken Pro v2 ($79.99) Logitech G402 or Razer DeathAdder Elite ($41 or $69.99)

Hello there everyone. I have currently owned a Razer DeathAdder Elite for almost a year now. I really like the mouse since I feel comfortable using it and overall a good choice for both my FPS/MOBA needs. My main concern is: Once I transitioned to Synapse 3, I saw no option to save to the on-board memory. Was this feature removed on purpose? If you guys found out how, do you mind teaching me about it! Thanks!

Hello, So I bought Razer DeathAdder 2013 RZ04-0084 6400dpi 4G (not from razer directly) . and its not getting detected by Razer Synapse. I've tried installing/re-installing with and without the mouse plugged in still says no device detected. I even installed the DeathAdder_driver_v3.05 even that didn't detect it. I then made sure it wasn't a fake. I entered the product info for warranty It detected it as a Razer DeathAdder Ergonomic Gaming mouse valid till 2020. It works fine. but I want to adjust the dpi for competitive gaming, currently if I swipe to fast it just gives out/stucks. any tricks that you know about? OS: Windows 10 64Bit Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299 plz h3lp, ~Mak.

When I play pubg, and only pubg, my mouse seems to get stuck during some games. This does not happen every game, only occasionally. I am not exactly sure how to describe it but my mouse movement gets very choppy. When I want to turn around, I drag my mouse over and over and I either barely move or do not move at all. I have the Razer Death Adder chroma, dpi is at 600 and polling rate is at 500 hz. I can try and describe it more if you guys need but I don't know what is even going on. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, coming from my 4 years old razer da 2013 that started double clicking a lot lately. To me It's shape is ok?(never owned a mouse before the da so maybe I just got used to it). My hand is 19.5 x 10.5 cm and mainly use palm grip (probably because of the da's shape). LoL is my most played game but lately I'm starting to play a lot of Pubg and was thinking to go back playing cs:go sometimes ( so I'd like bottons easy to spam but also hard enough to avoid accident clicks). After reading a lot of review and watching many videos, I think my best options are probably going to be the g403, the rival 310 and the da elite. Which one do you think is the best one for me considering I don't mind (or at least I got used to) the da 2013 shape? Any other suggestions? Also, are wireless mice worth it? Thanks in advance for your time and answers
