Need a good tower cooler for an older PC of mine that I am giving away to a friend, but don't want to buy them something that'll cool only the chip that I have in the system right now, but would like to give them headroom for any possible upgrades they might do. The current chip is I7-7700K.

http://www.pcgamer.com/build-guide-the-best-cheap-gaming-pc/ Look the source, witch I trust, says it will be good but, my natural instinct is telling me, "no don't do it t's a rip off". so i'm torn the processor a $65 Pentium G4560 just doesn't look right but, the AMD Radeon RX 470 4GB is a GPU that I know is worth the money. I know it will not be very upgrade able and that is a bare bone,s so it will probably cost closer to $700 including Windows 10 and a one terabyte hard drive

So I started watching a channel on youtube called "Vr-makeUmove" He just uploads videos of him playing beatsabers. I now really want to play this game. But I am too dirt poor to get a proper VR setup. My computer is capable of running VR games, however. And I know of a little program called Trinus that allows your phone become a VR headset for computers. And is even capable of emulating the vive headset. But it cannot emulate the controllers for the sabers. So is there a way I can jerry-rig a controler. I don't mind going technical with an Arduino and a few motion trackers. I want playable and cheap, not the best experience.

Recently my earphones have broke and I was wondering what you guys think would be a good replacement, I listen to all sorts of music so they need to be good for all genres. I also would like to keep the cost as low as possible but still get a good listening experience.

I have been using an old Acer Aspire laptop for a few years now. I think its fine for most games but its very slow due to the fact it doesn't have an SSD. I have three roommates and we are all going to split the price of a new build. We think 1000$ is a good budget. We have a spec requirement list. We all do some sort of light video or photo editing. We play games like fortnite, pubg, and farcry. 500GB or less SSD GRAPHICS card with 6GB of VRAM or more 1TB hard drive CPU with clock speed of 3GHZ or more and 6 or more cores 16Gb of ram We also want it to be modestly quiet. We have already chosen the case We have a plan to steal a version fo windows instead of paying for one. ATX

So my friend, who I trust, has an fx-8350 for 85$, and it includes the Mobo, a hyper 212 evo and 8GB of ram. I know that processor is old, but I wanted to build an HTPC and the processor is completely unlocked. So I could squeeze some life out of it. Should I buy this and pair it with a 750ti or a 1050ti for a low power pc. Normally I wouldn't consider this processor but it seems to be a good deal. It would be for watching netflix, youtube etc on my Tv playing some indie games with a steam controller, or playing games using steam in-home streaming. Ill be using it as an HTPC, in a normal ATX case, probably a cheep case on amazon.

I currently have a seeker setup with 4 pioneer seekers connected to a cheep sub woofer using seeker wire and the sub is connected to a cheep dvd player using vga cable. I want something i can plug all 4 of my seekers into as well as a sub, idk if i should buy a new sub and get a new dac that i can plug my seekers into or keep the setup with the speekers plugged ito the cheep sub and get a dac/amp with vga. I also want to be able to plug in headphones at the same time. I want it to be reasonably cheep. FYI I live in Australia.

Hi i'm looking for some good gaming headphones but also good for music with a lot of lows and stuff for example think of Monstercat music since most things i listen to are around those genera but i do also listen to instrumental . i have herd that open headphones work better since it gives it better accuracy in positional sound than closed. I am also a bigger fan of Sennheiser stuff due to my time with their products. only thing i have herd that fits my criteria are the sennheiser 518 but i would like to know if there are better options for around similar pricerange. i dont mind getting a different brand either i just prefer sennheiser is all. my max budget would be like 200 which i would prefer not to reach but i can. My current audio setup is the shitt modi uber and magni uber stack for those that might need that info.

How do I make it as symple as sending my render project over the network to my render farm. For exampel I have my main desktop and I want to send a project to the render farm where it rendrs it then sends the final render back to my pc. 5. What hardwhare peramiters are there, is there a certin type of cpu or whatever or all just all the same computers. For example The computers runing in paralel, Do they all need to have the same haredware and stuff or can they be mixed and mashed? 6. Is there anything else I can do with this render farm? 7. What else am I not thinking about, or what am i missing. Thansk for reading this and I realy hope I get some help doing this.

Hi my friend is looking for some noise canceling headphones that don't leak sound preferred but not necessary he is coming from a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 Pro. They are finally breaking down and he is looking for something mainly for alternative rock music aka (Muse,Rise Against, and Japanese Rock) and doesn't require a headphone amp and looks good preferred too but not necessary. Thanks for all suggestions in advance. Edit: Forgot to say he prefers headphones that cover the whole ear too

hey guys, im just need your help on one thing im building a cheep build for my parents, but as its gonna be used for lots of film watching, I decided to go 4k. Here are the specs Intel Core i3 4330 Gigabyte GA-H81M-HD3 M.ATX4-8GB RAM Samsung 850EVO SSD (120GB) 625w PSU Cheap Case Samsung U28D590 4k 28 inch monitor while i have selected a 60hz 4k monitor, I am planning to use the display port 1.2 output from the motherboard, which is rated at 4096x2160@24 or 3840x210@30hz, from the HD4600 onboard graphics. My question is, how smooth will 30Hz look??. The computer will only be used for light browsing and film watching. Also can the HD4600 graphics in the i3 4330 play back high bitrate 4k videos smoothly??. One last question: i know that there have been some issues with people only getting a 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 signal. Is this the case with this build or is a nice clean 4:4:4 image guaranteed???

Hey guys i found out about this on the YouTube channel and i thought that the people in this community would be able to help me out. Im currently trying to build my fist gaming computer. But i have a problem, im a broke ass collage student. I do not have a lot of money to play with at all. This being the case i want to make this a budget build. I already have a couple of systems created on PCPARTPICKER DOT COM. One is an ultra budget build and is mostly complete (although any help with that one is appreciated also). The one i want to build though im having trouble with. I cant get a good gaming CPU at my price point. Im working with budget of around $400 max. I know its not alot of money but i dont plat bug AAA games, mostly small indie games. Ill link both of my build down below. ULTRA BUDGET *i have no plans to do anything with this build but had fun picking the parts http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ShawnWilliams/saved/BkVCmG PHANTOM MENACE *this is the one i want badly to build. Every part i can change out aslong as it sticks with a white and black color style. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ShawnWilliams/saved/bjcV3C With the Phantom build i need help with the mother board and the cpu mainly. Im open to any suggestions though. Thanks for the help everyone!!!

Hey so as the title says, im in the middle of building my first gaming computer (parts list below) and i need help looking for a good monitor. I have ZERO idea on display technology and am way lost lol. Ive watched the fast-as-possibles that Linus did and am stil lost. So my question is whats a good monitor thats well under $120USD (i just lost my job and dont have a chancce to burn lots of money), preferable 22+in and around 1080p. Though i dont mind if it has a slightly lower res but it needs ti be below $125USD but i would much prefer it to be below $100USD if possible. Side note i do have a VIZO HDTV near where im going to be putting my computer and i have an extra HDMI cord would that work in a pinch? Id rater get the monitor but hey it it works lol.
