android tv Is there anyway NOT to connect in android tv
DC.MONZ posted a topic in Phones and Tablets
Its a bothersome to accidentally connect in android tv, and I don't own the tv so I can't use the google home app, because someone will try to connect. Is there anyway to completely disconnect and not able to see the icon screen cast or some sort, in my phone. I have already fixed it in my laptop but the way that I did cannot be applied in my phone so please help me. -
sometimes when I wake my iPhone a call comes in at that same moment. My question is, could my phone be buged, have malware, is my phone screwing up, or is it a legit call with crazy timeing? I've never seen or heard of this happening and I wanted to check on it.

Greetings to all, first of all let me introduce myself, My name is Firat, I am consulting this linustechtips site for a long time, and I enjoy every single part of it, here is a true lifesaver to me, for most of the time. I think this is my turn to give it back to the community, so here I share my latest experience with a site called witrigs.com. I already aware that there is another post mentioning reliability of witrigs site, but that one was quite old and I wanted to open up a new topic because I want to reach as much people as possible, and try t save anyone I can. Because I think lots of us here are techy people and order some spare parts etc from internet from time to time, and it is obvious that you are going to land on one of those witrigs.com offerings sooner or later. So I hope I reached you before them... Enough chit chat; here is my review; To everyone considering shopping from witrigs.com, dont! simply dont do it! please see my latest email to them, you can find it below; -------------START OF E-MAIL------------- Hello, I would like to tell you that I am very unhappy with my purchase from you. My order number : 100118151 I ordered; OEM LCD Screen with Digitizer Replacement for Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Black Review this Product 116763 US$49.29 Ordered: 1 Shipped: 1 US$49.29 Witrigs ESD Safe Stainless Steel Tweezers Fine Tip Curved Black Review this Product 117837 US$5.00 Ordered: 1 Shipped: 1 US$5.00 Witrigs LCD Supporting Frame Sticker for Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Review this Product 117449 US$0.99 Ordered: 1 Shipped: 1 US$0.99 Ultra-thin Opening Card 5pcs/set Blue Review this Product 116485 US$1.00 Ordered: 1 Shipped: 1 US$1.00 The problem is; All my orders (except the tweezers) came wrong. 1 : OEM LCD Screen with Digitizer Replacement for Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Black I ordered the OEM version especially. But I received the CUSTOM version. This is unacceptable. I want a full or partial refund for this item. 2 : Witrigs LCD Supporting Frame Sticker for Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact The picture in your website shows the original frame sticker, which has additional stickers for earpiece and earpiece frame. I received a CUSTOM frame sticker with no earpiece and frame stickers. That was one and only reason why I bought from you guys, because you showed the full original sticker in your website, but sent me the cheap knockoff lcd frame sticker only. I already have lots of local sellers here that sells this lcd frame sticker, but I bought from you because you put the picture of original sticker (which also includes earpiece stickers) 3 : Ultra-thin Opening Card 5pcs/set Blue While I was purchasing, the website was showing a different product, a white and quality looking plastic card, that's why I bought it from you. But I received the cheap plastic thin cards instead. (You already updated the pictures in your website so I cannot show you the old one) Overall, I am completely disappointed with your attention and meticulousness, and I will never shop from you again, it is so sad that I had such high expectations from you since you looked like a decent and reliable shopping place. right now, I demand a refund ; 1. for lcd screen : 15,25USD I paid for the OEM version, which is : 49,29 USD You send me the CUSTOM version, which is : 34,04 USD The difference is : 15,25 USD for lcd frame and opening cards, I can compensate for your errors, but for the lcd screen, this is simply unacceptable. I demand this refund and I can send you additional photos explaining the problem. -------------END OF E-MAIL------------- I tried to reach them, send them emails, requested RMA, etc, they simply dont answer... Let your knowledge and vision be the judge here....avoid witrigs.com at al costs! If you need any details, please ask here, I will gladly answer and inform you about the every single detail I know.

#DeathNotes **Badumti...*BOOM* * Well , it finally done did it, but not from a product series you expected it to happen, recently it was reported that a Samsung Note 4 that was purchased by the owner last year, which had no problems up until this last week exploded while charging, This one severely affecting & somewhat permanently scarring a little girls face, Earlier events that were prominent with the Note 7 had happened without much of a damage that was a direct threat to any person or this severe & this event happened in the worst way, According to the translated report from the original news site , The owner 9th of March set his phone to charge overnight near the bed plugged in to the wall charger where their little girl was sleeping & according to the parents statement the child was sleeping in the far other end/corner of the bed & they went to sleep & later woke up to the noise of the child's cry , upon approaching finding out that the phone had blown up & had left a slightly chaotic scene burning the bedding side and unfortunately their daughter’s face. i checked the specs on the phone & According to gsmarena the phone packs in a 3220 mAh battery Removable , with that much of a capacity packs a pretty awful punch when/if it goes off , since the phone is this much used for near a one year period we have to assume it's not a manufacturing issue out of the box, either the battery gone bad & started to swell up & owner didn't notice & kept using it anyways , Details are limited on this at the moment , Maybe some form of electrical shortening cause the power adapter to do something , maybe a counterfeit lowcost battery or a charger was used that caused it to overheat & explode Injury Image : (Slightly graphic images) The actual extent of the burn was not reported , 1st or 2nd degree from the looks of it aftermath image of the device "Feng Lingling's wife said that now, her daughter every night will call the pain, simply can not sleep, at the same time, because the mouth was burned, she can not even eat anything, every day can only drink a little water. Last Years Note 7 had a severe problem with the batter overheating & completely damaging the phone while charging. The problem turned out to be quick hustle in manufacturing the battery & flooding it to the market for the company profit & it hit them back severely , even making the phone into somewhat of a no fly list category because of its potential to do harm , The company has then implemented an improved security checkup protocol to the phones safety. SamsungsBrandsareonFiyaaah! & So in conclusion , do regularly check weather your battery has any form of deformity & other issues , try to replace them in a respectable amount of time after the warranty period is done with & post your thoughts on this down below, was it the parents fault for leaving a phone plugged in at a very close proximity to their child? or was ti the manufacturers fault? Other similar events with the same model of Samsung's note were reported , but those were pretty rare >> Below is the image reported by a man in Michigan last year , One reported from Pakistan Souce: (WWCF & Wccf linked source , yes i know ) That is the only source afaik http://wccftech.com/samsung-galaxy-note-4-explodes-5-year-girl-burnt/ http://www.guancha.cn/society/2017_03_10_398190.shtml http://shanghaiist.com/2017/03/14/samsung_explodes_girls_face.php Last link courtesy of forum member : Djole123

Hello all! I've had my LG G5 since May of 2017, and it's... like literally falling apart right now. The volume button up only works when it feels like it, the power button will not close the screen anymore, and if I hold it strong enough it will still shut the cellphone down or boot it back up (After several tries), the battery isn't holding its charge whatsoever... etc! I tried fixing some of these problems on my own by opening it, and I found that a plate that is supposed to hold the button has fallen, so I had a grand old time putting it back into place and it didn't really fix all of the other issues. Regardless, I think it might be time for me to upgrade to another smartphone, and I'd probably not go for an LG one again. The only reason I got the LG G5 was for the replaceable battery + SD Card, but the phone is literally falling apart before I actually need to replace the battery. The few things I'm looking for: Good storage space (I tend to use a lot of space) Reasonably Fast (I tend to game/emulate on my phone) Decent battery time (I generally recharge my phone once a day currently) I'll likely get the phone from a carrier since I don't have a large amount to drop on a new phone at the moment.

Hi LTT community, This question has been bothering me for a while. With recent improvements from the gaming smartphone market such as the Red Magic phone, the Black-Shark phone, an the ROG phone came ideas. My idea is the smallest pc ever. But at the same time it would be the best gaming smartphone. First here is some background. I was on a budget when I was building my pc and I went for a Ryzen 5 2400g. I was amazed by the power in that tiny device. I also had to buy some value select ram from corsair. I was once again amazed by the actual size of the ram modules. relatively they were tiny. I was just thinking that you could possible make a really small pc/ phone. De-lidded the APU is very small, and thin. I just need your guys input on wether this might work. If you made a simplified motherboard without a pcie slot, and without any IO, Other than a thunderbolt port. then you could put in a de-lidded APU, about 10 ram modules, and a 4000 Milliamp hour battery. then for cooling you could add a cooling design similar to the ROG phone and the Note 9. I was thinking that this could be in a phone ,tablet somewhere in the size range of an iPad mini and a Note 9. these are all just ideas and I think that they would be awesome if they were put into reality. Just add your thoughts below.

Hey guys, so i recently Upgraded (yea lol) my HTC M7 wich died after a horrible drop (kinda), and a friend sold me his older Nexus 6, it is gorgeous, the perfect phone for me, except, it randomly powers down, and its even SLOWER than my Older M7, its supposed to be twice as fast at least!, i even got a Qi wireless charger for it, and i noticed that after sitting in the pad charging for a while and getting warmer, the phone is blazing fast it never stutters or lags anymore, but then again on regular use it stutters and lags alot, as i check CPU-Z it shows that 99% of the time 2 cores are "stopped" while the other 2 ar locked at 1.9ghz, its running android 7.1.1 but i mean c'mon why is this so slow, my HTC M7 had no problem whatsoever running anything

A US (ex)sheriff has been caught abusing a tracking service, while on duty, without warrant to track multiple people including a judge and other police officers. Said sheriff however has been fired since, due to a unrelated case where a inmate has died, but earlier has been charged with forging of documents and similar cases. Although this might be a isolated case where it's just a single individual abusing his powers, it is still slightly worrying about how potent those programs are and how easy it is for them to use these services without warrant. The article also goes on about possible implications within the law and how it is possible for the company to have access to all this data without problems, which is legally allowed up to the point where they can even sell location data without issues, it however is a vague situation since they are also legally obliged to protect costumer's personal information and location data falls within a grey area, whether it is or isn't considered personal information that they can(and probably will) sell. It also opens up the dialogue on how well companies like Securus or isps do actually check warrants to see if they are legal, since in this situation the tracking was done without legal permission or use of warrants that forced them to give access to said locations. Although Securus only operates within the USA and it (so far I'm aware) is one of the few modern nations where it is allowed to sell information from your costumers to a third party, I find it pretty concerning that it is possible for people to have access to things like this without the decent checks being carried out. But I guess this will just be another small drop in the bucket of questionable practices within the United States; of course tools like this have benefits in search and rescue situations, although then it still has to be carried out the proper way, something that here hasn't been the case. source: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/10/technology/cellphone-tracking-law-enforcement.html

I've been reading a lot about cell networks, towers, transceivers, etc recently. It got me thinking: If a hacker was able to spoof a cell tower or create an mitm cellular access point, could the hacker potentially use that to get free or anonymous service by piggybacking off of of people connecting to the rogue ap? For example, when creating a fake wireless access point, people will connect to your computer first, then the intended network, which allows you to spoof their ip and Mac address or even poison their dns cache to divert them to fake websites. Could this potentially be achieved on a cellular network?

Seeing that we are closer and closer to having our Cell phone replace our PC at home. How about making a swappable LPDDR5 SM Ram Card slot ? Where a cell phone user can replace a 4GB LPDDR5 chip with a 8,12 or 16GB LPDDR5 chip via a NEWLY CREATED "Secure Memory Ram Card" Yes I know there has to be more contact points for Memory than typical SD Cards. But I really think this can be done. Also I feel that that one day Phones with have a Base model (Frame and internals) where the screen can be replaced and or Upgraded. Also the same with the Camera on the back. "Semi Modular". A new back plate of course to go along with the camera lens configuration upgrade.

Not to long ago, when Linus and team mentioned they would be starting a new side channel for secondary material, I saw a review for a wireless charging pad. Upon, seeing that video I can see why Apple gave up on the idea. However, recently Xiaomi is claiming they can get 40 watts of wireless charging, I wonder if Linus and team can put that to the test. If and when the product is available of course. More info below, but there is a video of a time lapse below.. https://www.androidpolice.com/2020/03/02/xiaomi-shows-off-powerful-40w-wireless-charging-charging-a-phone-to-full-in-as-little-as-40-minutes/ https://bestgamingpro.com/xiaomi-shows-off-powerful-40w-wireless-charging-charging-a-phone-to-full-in-as-little-as-40-minutes/#:~:text= https://www.phonearena.com/news/xiaomi-40W-wireless-charging_id122673

Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody knew of an unlocked phone that is an improvement of the Galaxy Advant that is under $100. The specs of the Galaxy Advant- http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_avant-6542.php . I'm looking for an improvement in RAM (hopefully up to 2 gigs) and an improvement of processor. It needs to either be unlocked or with Metro-PCS because my parents both already have a plan on Metro and they'll just add me on for cheaper than having to buy new phones for both of them and going to a new plan. Thanks so much.

He's told me he's not interested in the hassle but maybe if enough interest is shown he could be convinced to design and market a flagship phone w/all the good but none of the bad/pointless. We're talking satisfying buttons properly placed, front facing stereo speakers, reasonable resolution screens w/ good color reproduction that won't kill the battery, proper ports, a decent sized battery, a reasonable camera w/ a decent sensor, etc. I get the feeling people are voting no b/c they don't think it could happen. The point of this poll is gauge what you would do if it did and possibly give Linus the backing he would need to make it happen. If you voted no on with the assumption that it can't please rethink or remove your vote.

This looks like it might be the next big thing. What do you guys think about it? A magnetic adapter, so its simple to remove instead of pulling the whole outlet. Its looks like a two piece part. One is in the outlet and the other is connected to your electronic so its fast to pull out when your on the go. So I don't have to struggle with my phone charger each time. http://www.voadapter.com/#vo-home

So i am battling these two phones. Because they are perfect price point on my area. Also they are almost same on spec's. Could you tell me what are the biggest variant's of these model's? I am looking phone on 250€ it has to be last longing and also has to be big battery, Camera is also big deal for me, because i use it my main camera. Storage wise it doesn't matter, because i use to storage them to cloud. You can also suggest something else at same price range. But it MUST to be 2 gb ram and installed lollipop.

http://www.cultofmac.com/324794/cell-jamming-gives-science-teacher-an-important-legal-lesson/ About this, I understand the law, but i believe the teacher is right. Back in 09 when i left high school, students were already to focused on the phone. Now i believe it to be far worse since better phones are more available. p.s. LOL at Verizon having a cell tower on a school.

According to an article posted just a couple of hours ago on the CNET Magazine's website, T-Mobile has already, or is soon poised, to take over Sprint's place as the third largest mobile provider. While the details are currently being contested by both sides, it appears that Sprint has been counting over 1.7 million users who have been inactive for more than six months. They claim that they've always followed this practice and that they don't discount users until a retail outlet partner updates them on a user's status. While not necessarily a tremendous ethics violation, it's still hard for me not to imagine a politician getting caught registering voters for the deceased and then stating, "I only used the votes of those deceased for which I did not directly receive a death certificate." So what do you guys think about both Sprint's marketing "strategy," and T-Mobile's worthiness in beating it out for the #3 spot?
