  1. Anybody knows how to solve this BSOD with stop code 0xa0000006? I'm using the MSI Alpha 15 A3ddk with the AMD Ryzen 7 3650H + Radeon RX5500M and this bsod keeps popping up for no reason everytime I'm trying to finish my work. Please help me with some solutions to this problem, sjnce I don't really know much about computers especially windows.
  2. I keep getting Blue screens of Death, on Windows 10 with the latest updates I get a few different Blue Screens of Death every now and again. Recently, quite often i get: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL I've gotten MEMORY_MANAGEMENT a few times recently I used to get a lot of VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR but it's recently stopped coming up as much. I THINK that the errors come more often when in Virtual Reality (Rift S) but it's happened randomly while just on a Discord call and on Google Chrome basically doing nothing. Does anyone know what i can do? My Specs: Ryzen 5 3600 Radeon RX 5700 XT 16GB DDR4 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance ram Tomahawk Max Motherboard
  3. Hi Guys, I've recently built a new computer, and have been having some trouble with the dreaded BSOD, getting multiple a day, all with different errors. These errors occur on a seemingly random basis, most frequently however when I have chrome or a game open. Here are the most recent errors: Store_data_structure_corruption Memory-management Page_store corrupt Faulty_hardware corrupted page I have tried running sfc /scannow but no errors were found. Additionally I've even completely reinstalled windows, and am still getting BSOD's, am wondering whether maybe my installation media is corrupt. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. if needed the specs of the PC are: CPU: Ryzen 2600 Motherboard: ASRock ATX Motherboard (B450 PRO4) RAM: Corsair CMK8GX4M1A2400C16 Vengeance LPX 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR4 2400 MHz C16 XMP 2.0 High Performance Desktop Memory Module HardDrive: WD 1 TB PC Hard Drive - Blue SSD: SanDisk SSD PLUS 240 GB Sata III 2.5 Inch Internal SSD PSU: Corsair CX550M 550 W GPU: GEFORCE GTX 1060 GAMING X 6G
  4. I have been experiencing this for about 4 months. It happens while I play games or launch any other application that puts the GPU to work. 5 minutes(or less) in the app, and my PC goes into a black screen state while the audio is stuttering, after about 10-15 seconds it restarts, but goes directly to the black screen, unless I change the PCI-E slot it won't display anything. The only temporary fix I've found so far to be effective for a short period of time is swapping the PCI-E slot everytime I encounter the crash. It then works normally for around 1 week at most and it starts crashing again. I tried reinstalling windows, tried a different game, I've reset the bios, nothing works. Currently my components aren't overclocked, they are running at stock values. PC Specs ------------- OS: Windows 10 Pro x64-bit BIOS Version: 7A37v17(same bios before the crashing began) MOBO: MSI B350M Mortar CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 3.2 GHz RAM: 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance PRO 3000 MHz GPU: Sapphire NITRO+ RX 580 PSU: SeaSonic S12II-520W SSD: ADATA XPG SX6000 128GB(boot) HDD: WD Blue 1TB(storage) -------------------------------------------------- I've also attached the dump file. Memory dump can be found here 032520-16468-01.dmp 032620-18937-01.dmp 032620-19000-01.dmp
  5. I've been dealing with bluescreens and crashes for a few weeks now and I can't find the reason for it. The crashes are almost subtle, often it just cuts to my desktop, other times it freezes for a few second before closing. Before a bluescreen the game freezes and the sound gets heavily distorted. The games that are affected are Overwatch, Doom Eternal and Devil May Cry 5. I played a bit Minecraft recently and that worked without a problem, if that says something. I can't remember if every Bluescreen listed a code, but I made photos of two of them and know what they said. The first had the code "UNEXPECTED KERNEL_MODE_TRAP" and listed "dxgkrnl.sys" as cause. The second one had the code "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL". It didn't list a file this time. What I tried so far: - Reinstalling the Nvidia driver with DDU - Multiple SFC Scans, repaired something the first time, the other scans didn't find anything - Stress test on GPU and CPU with Heaven Benchmark and Time Spy, both worked without a problem - MemTest86, no errors - Changed DMC5 from DirectX11 to DirectX12 - Reinstalled Windows 10 My Specs: - Ryzen 7 2700x - Aorus B450 Elite Motherboard - 16 GB G.Skill Aegis DDR4 3200Mhz RAM - KFA2 GTX 1660 Super - Seasonic M12II-520 EVO PSU - Windows 10 Home
  6. Hi, so my PC (R5 3600x, 16gb DDR4, RTX 2070 SUPER) blue screens a lot and I don't know why. I did a fresh install, underclocked my ram, my CPU, my GPU drivers are ok. Every blue screen has a different error. help?
  7. I just upgraded to an x570 Aorus Master and now I can't let my computer go to sleep or it will restart and I get random BSOD. I swapped my boot drive over from the last mobo so its not a fresh install, but I also tried a separate drive with fresh install and it still got the force restart on sleep. Before I got the latest BSOD and started looking at the dump file I tried to diagnose by rebuilding everything and booting in a makeshift test bench config to rule out case shorting. I started building at the beginning of the year and I don't have any experience trouble shooting BSODs. Thanks for the help! x570 Aorus Master F11 Windows 10 Home 64bit R7 3700x EVGA Geforce GTX 1080 Kraken x63 Vengence Pro 3200MHz 32GB (2x16GB) EVGA G+ 1000W 970 Evo NVMe PCIe M.2 500GB (Boot) Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB Samsung MZ7LN128HCHP-000H1 128GB 031920-7859-01.dmp 031720-7359-01.dmp 031720-7578-01.dmp
  8. Hello all, After about a year looking for solutions I decided to post here hoping I can finally solve this. My PC is a low-spec machine built for running Linux at home. However, I've been needing Windows here or there, mostly for college work. The thing is that I've been forced to use VM's or another computer, because this PC is unable to run Windows: usually either the screen suddenly goes black and restarts on its own, or I get a BSOD with different error messages, including but not limited to: "video tdr failure (atikmpag.sys)", "clock watchdog timeout". Also, when it does work, sometimes random artifacts appear on screen, colorful squares. On Linux it runs absolutely perfect. Note: I've tried several times installing Windows in hope that it could be a driver issue, but it never worked. Specs: mobo: MSI B450M pro-vdh, latest BIOS 7A38vMC cpu: Ryzen 3 2200g with Vega 8 integrated graphics Ram: 12GB DDR4 team group elite (the 8gig stick was bought later because 4gig wasn't enough anymore) SSD: kingston M.2 Sata 240GB PSU: Aerocool KCAS 600W 80+ bronze Realtek PCI wireless adapter edit: Latest Windows 10 release I'd like to add that everything is running stock, I never did OC Things I've tried: Perhaps the weird RAM configuration could be the problem, but I've tried using only the 8GB stick and it still crashed (right now is how I'm running it, and the dump file attached is with 8gb ram) I've tried both using the manufacturer chipset drivers (suggested by this video) and letting windows update install by itself, none worked At a point it seemed like Firefox was the culprit, because it happened most when I was watching videos on YouTube, but Edge also crashed the PC Now my dad is going to start working from home and I need this pc to work with windows because his pc is old and slow and I'd like him to have good conditions, and stores are closed so I can't get assistance anywhere! Below are the links for dump files and performance report as requested in the pinned BSOD thread: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BN6gFw61lcaNaFFRhgwQSFM1ZMjS0LkB/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/13Oh0IYm8lJwClGFMDBlg_clwuq9w8hDm/view?usp=sharing Any help or suggestion is highly appreciated!

  10. Hello there, I've upgraded my System yesterday from an MSI B150M Bazooka with an i5 6500 and Sapphire Nitro+ Rx480 4GB to: Windows 10 Home 64 bit MSI B450 Tomahawk Max (BIOS version 3.5, latest) -new Ryzen 5 3600 (stock) -new 2x8GB G.Skill SniperX RAM (3600MHz XMP) -new MSI RX5700 XT Gaming X 8GB (stock) -new Sabrent 1TB M.2 boot drive -old 2x256GB SSD, 3TB, 4TB HDD storage drive -old EVGA SuperNOVA 650GQ Modular (650W 80+ gold) -old In the process I've had to reformat my M.2 since I was stuck in the automatic repair loop by Windows and I did a fresh Windows install while reusing my other drives. Now after booting into Windows just fine and it working well without a load but after a while on some load or light gaming like League of Legends I keep getting flittering to a short blackscreen with resumed functionality afterwards until the game crashes eventually. Heavier load games like MHW or ARK crash straight when starting up. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers(also from save mode with DDU), tested the RAM with the inbuilt Windows test as well as Memtest86, reinstalled Windows, reseated the RAM, reseated the Graphics card, installed all the newest drivers and updates on all installs and checked the cables. I also got a BSOD(VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE, atikmpag.sys) twice and just now I had a visual glitch on Chrome while writing up this post. I've attached the wanted reports for BSODs as well as a picture of my graphics card utilization during the crashes and the Chrome visual glitch which fixed itself after a blackscreen in this Google Drive .Also here's a video of the issue in League of Legends. Since the new Graphics card just arrived today I just want to say that I've had the same issues when I tried the system yesterday with my RX480 but just one Driver and Windows reinstall. I really hope you can help me out and let me know if you need any more data. Thanks in advance, Moritz P.S: I forgot to say that the Radeon Adrenaline Software crashes on each blackscreen.

  12. So, as the title says, ever time i play a game, notably LoL, after like 10 minutes the game would freeze and respond with the memory management bsod. Ive looked at guides online but none of them work for me, any help? This is for an older build with 2x 4gb ddr3 1333mhz RAM and a 3 year old hard drive - some people say there problem was the hard drive

So I try to install windows on this PC Asus x570 tuf plus Ryzen 9 3900X 32GB (4*8) Gskill trident Z RGB 3200 cl14 RX 5700 XT nitro+ Sabrent rocket 1TB nvme I do this over USB 3.2 using a 32GB kingstone flash drive that works perfectly fine and I used the official microsoft media creation tool Motherboard sees the nvm drive just fine (before that on the same computer I had a windows installation already running on an SSD and I could browse the nvme and transfere files to it without issue) passes all the test... I trid setting compatibility mode from auto to gen3 I trid disabling the AMI nvme support. MoBo is up to date. I tried stripping off everything (only 1 8gb ram stick no other devices or SSD/HDDs connected only the graphics card) What happens is that on "where do you want to install windows" window I can see the nvme I delete all the partitions (from previous failed install attempts) I create a new disk (and windows makes its own small partitions) then I format the main bulk of the disk then I click next.. On the first installation window (image not from my computer just for reference) The "copying windows files" procedure happens instantly ok the flash drive is fast the usb 3.2 connection is fast the nvme is fast but I mean really it takes 0 to 2 seconds max I doubt it could have really copy that from the flash drive that fast.. the the "getting files ready for installation " part takes reasonable time.. then everything seems to finish fine and a pop up window tells me that the pc is going to restart in 10 seconds or so... pc restarts windows logo .. "preparing things for you or what not" 10% --> 40%---> 80% boom BSOD with error code bugcode_ndis_driver !! its like the 7th time I try stuff and nothing works.. the worst part is that the computer parts are brand new and that a couple of hours ago windows (on the other ssd I initially had as main one) worked fine with no issues what so ever!!!! Please tell me that you have a hinch on whats going on here because I am tired worked all day and now I have to face this P.S I also tried to install windows by clicking "I dont have a product key" incase it conflicts somehow because the mobo used to have a windows license ssd installed

  15. Greetings. I was wondering if anyone could please help me with my Windows PC bluescreening (or, in this case, orange-screening) on me. It has occurred most often when playing Monster Hunter World. The game freezes, the sound turns to electrical-type buzz, and then the computer screen goes orange with a sad smily and Windows says it's collecting error data (it ain't, it just sits at 0% forever). Looking at Event Viewer afterwards, there are a string of WHEA-Logger warnings, more or less one every minute for the time I was playing Monster Hunter, saying: A corrected hardware error has occurred. Reported by component: Processor Core Error Source: Corrected Machine Check Error Type: Translation Lookaside Buffer Error Processor APIC ID: 4 The details view of this entry contains further information. I uploaded the event log When it crashed before, the screen used to get green/purple lines all over it, like a graphics card problem, but after I updated all my drivers, that no longer happens. The green/purple lines also previously appeared rarely, when playing AC: Odyssey, or watching YouTube videos. My computer specs: Dell Inspiron 7577 Gaming, latest BIOS, OEM drivers, etc. GTX 1060 MaxQ 6GB, v431.70 Nvidia drivers (latest provided by OEM) 16GB RAM Intel Core i7 7700HQ, running Throttlestop undervolt (-0.1553V) (tbh I've wondered if this is the problem, too low voltage, but switching to my failsafe voltage profiles did nothing when I last tried). Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
  16. Hi, I built a new a new gaming pc at the beginning of the year (specs are below) however I now have an issue of booting straight into a bsod... most errors are kernal security related. I have narrowed it down to 1 of my 2 modules of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200 RAM, with both sticks in it will blue screen but with one it will boot up fine no problems... I have tried updating the BIOS but no change. Any help would be much appreciated :) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600x MOBO: MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 (non xt) RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200 PSU: Corsair TX-M 650W HDD: Samsung 970 M.2
  17. So I built my computer in october of last year. A quick rundown I7 9700k Asrock phantom gaming sli z390 motherboard EVGA 2070 SUPER black oc 4x8 corsair vengeance pro rgb 3200mhz ram Cooler master 240mm aio with thermal grizzly Thermaltake smart 650 psi Samsung 970 evo plus nvme 500gb boot drive (os only atm) Intel 660p 2Tb nvme storage X2 western digital caviar green 1Tb hdd in raid 0 The problem. Getting bsod after gaming for a short amount of time. Also trying to run prime 95 blend test and instantly crashes. This happened all of the sudden with no changes recently made to hardware if software. I did have a 5.0ghz all core oc on the system for most of its life. Vcore 1 is 1.40 volts (I did no other adjustments outside of the 5.0 all core change and enabled xmp). I have since then returned the bios to default and only turned mce on and xmp. Doesnt crash as bad but still will randomly when gaming. Temps under load, from what I have been able to see never go over 80c under full load and v core never goes above 1.4. What do I need to look at to resolve this problem. Very new to overclocking and not fully versed on all the uefi settings. I'm fine with returning it to defaults but this doesn't even fix my issue. Ask me anything you need to from me and I will provide any info needed to help you help me. Thanks in advance Edit. I'm having a hunch that my motherboard is throttling down and crashing the pc. I did put a laser thermometer on the mosfets and the are 90 to 95c under load.
  18. Hi there, Been struggling with my pc recently, was hoping someone would be able to help. I first noticed something was wrong when my hdd did not show up in the windows file manager(not my main drive), I have windows installed on another drive (ssd). I decided to ignore it and hope it might show up I then proceeded to open a few tabs on chrome and then a few minutes later the pc froze and then i lost display output and then got a BSOD (Stop code critical process died). since then it has struggled to restart sometimes taking a few tries, lights will come on but no output to monitor or peripherals, i then switch it off by holding the power button and try again. Every 3 or so tries it will manage to boot to windows only to freeze a few minutes later. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 19. Hello, a PC in my workplace has been having some severe issues for some time now. It's an older machine. The issues are mainly related to a very weird boot process: Sometimes, when the Windows bootscreen already got to the spinning wheel, it will freeze for a short moment, then crash and restart the boot process from the BIOS welcome screen. If this happens, it will continue to bootloop 3 to 4 times, until the windows recovery mode kicks in. Now, if I let it restart it will in 100 % of the cases bootloop again. I have to shut the PC down and completely restart the boot process, at which point it will succeed. The same issue occurs when rebooting from inside windows, where it also will bootloop in the exact same way 8/10 times. We've already clean reinstalled windows, but that didn't solve the issue, at least not for long. The issue came up a couple months ago, but never made problems in the years before. This issue makes installing updates very complicated, as the failing reboot process will roll back the updates. Another issue that might or might not be related are some sparse BSODs, they mainly occur when opening programs. But it doesn't seem to be related to a specific program, sometimes it's Firefox, sometimes any Adobe program. I didn't save the error messages, but recall that there was a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error a couple times. From what I've read that's the RAM, but there were some other error codes as well. Maybe someone knows which part of the hard- or software could be causing this issue. I'd be really happy to hear your thoughts. Specs: OS: Windows 10 Pro x64, 1909 (Build 18363.657) Motherboard: Gigabyte X79-UD5 (BIOS version F12, which is the newest) CPU: Intel Core i7-3930K GPU: Palit GeForce GTX 680 RAM: G Skill 16 GB DDR3 @ 800 MHz
  20. I just finished upgrading my old computer (CPU or mobo died) to a new Ryzen system. Problem: Everytime I boot from USB to install Windows I get a BSOD. Somtimes it's right away, somtimes I get the install menu for like 15s before the BSOD. I have attached a dump which shows the different error codes I am getting on the BSODs. Main specs: Asrock x570 Taichi AMD Ryzen 3900X Hyper X Fury 4X8GB DDR4 @2666MHz Gigabyte GTX 1080Ti All the components worked on the previous system (Asus X99-A with 5820K). With that system I got a BSOD about a week ago, restarted the machine and it wouldnt post. It showed postcode 00 and the fans were turning, but no ouptput from the graphics card. I therefore assumed that the CPU and/or the MOBO was dead. I had been running the CPU @4.4GHz for four years, so I guess that might have shortened the lifespan. Now with the same system except new CPU and MOBO I can enter the BIOS (updated it too, just in case), see all my devices (the RAM somtimes doesn't show up on the main page, but I can see details on the other BIOS tabs) and everything seems to work except install windows. Any suggestions? Let me know if you need more information.
  21. Hello guys. For the past 2 weeks i've been plagued with BSOD seemingly coming at random times. I have built this particular PC in october last yearand only had one BSOD when playing Advanced Warfare maybe a month later. Now, for the past two-three weeks i've been experiencing random BSOD and the funny thing is 90% of them aren't even happening while gaming. Most of them come when i'm just browsing along or watching something on youtube.I have tested my RAMs with memetest 64 and found no errors.I have tested my hard drive with the windows tool and still no errors.Removed my GPU driver with DDU and freshly installed the latest one.Still the problem persists and it has become even more frequent the last couple of days.Went from 1-2 blue screens every couple of days to 2-3 blue screens a day. And of course this is driving me insane. My specs:Coolermaster CMP 500B450 Aorus M 1.0Ryzen 5 3400GG.sill Ripjaws 16gb (2 sticks)Saphire Radeon RX580 nitro+Samsung 860 Evo 250 gb M.2 Nothing is overclocked, everything runs at stock settings. Thanks for your time guys!
  22. Hi Guys, I've just built this PC for a colleague and it randomly flags up a BSOD error, there is no pattern to it. I've analysed the dump files using WhoCrashed and this is what I got, I can see one of the causes is ESET AV but have not got a clue on the other ones. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  23. Hi, I bought following components back in February 2016 and it has been running perfectly: - Motherboard MSI Z170A Tomahawk AC ATX (stock 1.10) - Intel Core i5-6600K (latest updade) - EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4 GB (latest update) - HyperX Fury memory 2x4GB DDR4 2666 MHz - WD blue 2 TB - Samsung SM951 256 GB - Corsair RM550x - windows 10 However on 03 december 2019 i got a BSOD (WHEA uncorrectable error stuck a 0%) at the moment i clicked start button to shut down my PC. When i tried to boot, I get a BSOD during start-up or after a few seconds when in windows. However i found on the 05 December that turning the "Game boost" option ON (not OFF) in the MSI bios, my PC just works fine. (have been using it daily ever since). Now last weekend i turned the Gameboost off in hopes of that this issue was kind of caused by i a bug, but I still get the same BSOD. Luckily I still can solve this issue with turning my gameboost ON, but it just makes me nervous that this issue still isnt solved and im scared that this may damage my hardware over time. When i turn Gameboost on MSI bios says following changes are made: - Intel C-state: [auto] → [Disabled] - Long duration power limit (W): [Auto] → [255] - Short Duration Power limit (W): [Auto] → [255] - CPU current limit (A): [Auto] → [256] When i turn the Gameboost OFF following changes are made: - Intel C-state: [Disabled] → [auto] - CPU ratio: [41] → [auto] - DRAM frequency: [DDR4-2400 (18x100.00x1.33)] → [auto] - CPU Core voltage 1.320V: [1.320] → [auto] - DRAM voltage 1.200V: [1.200] → [auto] - EIST: Disables → enabled - Long duration power limit (W): [255] → [auto] - Short Duration Power limit (W): [255] → [auto] - CPU current limit (A): [256] → [auto] No EZ led light are red on the motherboard. I cant find a minidump or dump files map in windows folder. Any ideas what causes the BSOD when gameboost is OFF? What has the highest probability of the gameboost settings that fixes this issue? Is this 100 % related to my CPU only? TLDR: PC worked perfect for 4 years → BSOD on start up (WHEA correctable error) → solved by turning gameboost ON. If gameboost turned back off, same BSOD.
  24. I have been using my brand new Acer Predator Helios 300 that I got off Amazon for about 3 weeks now and I’ve been getting a Watchdog Violation BSOD every few hours. Recently however it’s been more frequent and sometimes after it randomly crashed it will say “no bootable device” (I may be paraphrasing) on a mostly black screen. It turns back back on after and otherwise runs perfectly fine between these random crashes. I didn’t touch any hardware or update any drivers or anything. I just downloaded a few steam games, and use a razer mouse and red dragon keyboard as my only main accessories. It is is my first non-mac and I’m at wits end! i would literally pay someone to fix this ?
  25. So I've had this laptop for about 5 years and the only problem still now that I had with it is that the screen decided to do some weird stuff but it wasn't much of a problem cus I just hooked it up to a monitor. Fast forward to now about a year later the I was playing it in the morning and I left it with only discord up to go watch some shows in the other room and I come back and try to open the technic launcher and the computer freezes. So I shut it down and tried to boot it back up and gave me bsod saying 0xc0000001 then I tried factory resetting it cus I thought it might be a software ting. And still the same thing. If you guys need any more info about the PC just ask. Aslo I don't have another PC and I can't access the auto repair menu.
