I thought that the no flex or bend bracket should have improved temperatures? Mine did absolutley nothing, 2c better at max. Is there anything i could have done wrong? I removed the stock intel mounting bracket and screwed in the new aftermarket one.

Hello everyone, Just a quick stupid question. I've recently gotten a new PC and that one came with a rtx4080. Now with all i read about GPU sag and what not decided to order a GPU bracket just in case and it got here today. The bracket i ordered is the following Cooler Master Bracket ARGB which is made of tempered glass. Now this one has RGB on top of it. My question is, where exactly would i have to plug it in? My mainboard is a MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI. Yours Truly Flo

So i bought the corsair 3000d case built my pc and realised theres no ssd mounts i had to remove the brackets so my psu could fit, i have an old inwin 101 case with mounts would they work in my case or no?

I recently purchased and old dell optiplex 7010 that had a reg sized Zotac Gaming GeForce gtx1650 OC in it. It was on a riser cable and just laid in the case. Was dirty as hell but got it cleaned up and the card does work so I was planing on using it in another system For my son but when I went to put it in I noticed the i/o bracket was missing. I’ve searched online/eBay and went to just about every computer shop in my area looking for one that would work but can’t find anything. I’ve even looked for someone selling a bad 1650 that I could salvage but haven’t had any luck. Do any of y’all know where I might be able to find a bracket or someone have a bad card they’d be willing to sell for pretty cheap? My last resort is maybe but one and just cut some holes in it myself to match the i/o layout but I’d rather not do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello All! wanted to post a couple photos of my GPU and see if others think this is an acceptable amount of sag. I have an UpHere vertical GPU support, I just don’t enjoy the look of it so I’m getting some second opinions to see how necessary it is! not a lot of play in the card, but you can see some sag to it using a bubble level. One photo is me using the bracket to show the bubble mostly level. also wondering if using the bracket to hold it up could cause more damage to the PCI slot too. let me know what you think! I think it will work as long as the GPU fits in the PCIE slot, But it will look like shyte.

I am planning to buy the i7 12700 and MSI Pro Z690-P (LGA1700 DDR4 PCI-e 5.0) motherboard. On the Newegg product page of the motherboard, it says "dedicated mounting bracket is required". Will it be required even for the stock cooler ? Or only for just third party Air, AIO or liquid coolers ? -
Hi all, I found a Thermaltake Tower 112 while digging through boxes of my old hardware. Back in the day (~2005), this was one of the most massive coolers available. Its weight (1.2 kg - more than a NH-D15 - of pure copper) far exceeded the maximum specs of Socket 939 and Socket 775. I used it with my overclocked Opteron 144 on an ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe for several years (stock 1.8 GHz, running stable at 2.8 GHz!). I have little interest in building a retro system of that era despite the many fond memories of my old system. However, I think it could be fun to try this cooler on a modern CPU. I know it's probably not going to break any records, but it should be able to handle ~120W TDP without too much trouble. I'm looking for ideas how to mount it to a Socket AM4 motherboard. The original bracket supports sockets 478/775/462/754/939, none of which has (as far as I know) the same hole pattern as any modern socket. I know that some manufacturers sell upgrade kits for their coolers. Do you know any that might fit this old Thermaltake cooler? Or should I just make my own bracket? Thanks! Radim

Asus crosshair VI hero back plate help

Ok so i finally got all my pc parts on the mail! But i found out that my Nzxt Kraken X62 didnt come with a AM4 bracket.....I thought they were shipping them with the bracket. But i found out that the asus crosshair VI actually supports AM4 and AM3 back plates. Unfortunately there arnt many pc shops in my area....and nzxt will probably take weeks to send me a AM4 bracket. I learned that the corsair AM4 bracket is exactly the same ao i can actually order one from them. But i met a guy and he gave me this thing....is this a AM3 bracket and do you guys think this will work?

Hi, I'm shopping around for brackets to mount something like an h100 externally. I have the corsair 200r case and you can't fit any decent size rad in it. If I do choose to mount my radiator externally, I want to mount it on top of the PC, and I want some sort of enclosure that protects the rad from damage but allows airflow of course. I've seen all in one external rads with enclosures but they're expensive as hell and come with an AIO inside. I don't want that. Anyone find anything that sounds like this? -
Hello Linus Tech Tips Community! Does AMD Threadripper 1950X come with the essential bracket for the Thermaltake WATER 3.0 Triple RGB? There is an "AM4", which is sold separately, but I'm wondering if I need to purchase or not. Thanks in advancce. -
Hey all, I dont have alot time to make a very long post for this one but the title says it all... Working on a custom made GPU support bracket to support my 1080Ti. On the next posts i'll go a little more into detail and post some pics of the machining on this part. The first proto is here to get some measurements and idea's on how to progress it further. Dont mention the finish on this part. The end result will be a polished/sand blasted type with cut out letters like the logo. Stay tuned New graphics card will arive next monday =) (yes thats a crappy GT710 as temporary card since i sold my GTX970 for a good price)

So I ordered a Dell Optiplex 9020 Mini Tower today. The system I ordered comes with a 1 TB hard drive, though looking to add the SSD as the master drive to put windows on. Dell seems to have proprietary features in place. I have been having some troubles to easily locate a backet/caddy for a SSD. Are there any after market alternatives you can point me in the right direction with. Cheers -
so 3-4 months ago i bought corsair h100i v2 then ryzen came and i wanted to build ryzen pc then i went to buy parts i bought all the parts then i understood that ryzen need am4 bracket so i searched for it on google the only place i could find it was corsair.com that to it was free so i was exited but it was not available in my country [INDIA] so i thought buying offline from shop i might get it but they said there is nothing like this in the market so in went on amazon they had it but out of stock and also very expensive . is there any way i could use my am3 bracket on am4 by streching or something plzzz help any idea will work

bracket H105 AM3+ Bracket Support H100i V2?

This may seem like an odd question, but will the H105's AM3+ bracket work on a H100i V2? The reason why I ask is because for some reason my H100i V2 did not come with an AM3+ bracket, and I might need it in the future. My older H105 I have still has it's AM3+ bracket in the box. -
So I previously made a headphone stand with just a 2 right angle bracket, but it looked tacky and tended to leave the foam in the centre flattened out (Where all the weight was being applied as it hanged). So I decided to finally redo it into something nicer and finally did it and came out nice Things needed Two Right angle corner bracket Small piece of a 4 inch PVC pipe (What I used) OR Thick wire OR Something equivalent Rubber pipe insulation Tools needed Hot glue (Needed) Hack Saw for sawing pipe (Optional, depending on what you went with) Insulation tape or spray paint in a colour of your choice To begin with I taped together both the bracket into a square so that I able to hang it below my desk. (I later used black insulation tape , transparent one shown here) The semi circle piece of pipe that was cut. You could use anything else hard and bendable as well, a curved twig would do too. I cut of a piece of around 15cm of the rubber pipe insulation and inserted it into the PVC pipe I cut earlier, after inserting it I closed both ends with hot glue. This is surprisingly quite soft hence perfect to be used as a foam padding. Now it's finally time to put them together. I removed some of the foam padding from below the center so that the pvc pipe could make contact with the bracket in order to put them together with hot glue Covered the bottom with some more foam and keep in mind you won't be seeing this as it's only visible from below After sliding in another piece of foam in front of the other one, all there was left was to glue them all in place. All there is left is either screw it into the desk or just using hot glue again. You might think it would come off in time but it doesn't, it's pretty sturdy (I have been using the previous design that way for years now)

I'm looking around for AIO CPU coolers for an AM4 Ryzen CPU. I've pretty much decided on the Thermaltake Riing 3.0 (240mm). However, AM4 is not natively supported by the block, so I need a bracket to be able to use it with Ryzen. I am going to my local Microcenter to pick all of this stuff up tomorrow, so I would like to know if the Corsair Hydro Series AM4 brackets they have in stock would work with the thermaltake cooler, or will I have to buy Thermaltake's bracket off their website for twice the price and wait for shipping? -
So, I recently bought a ZOTAC version of a GeForce GTX 750 Ti on Amazon, knowing that, after a flop with buying a more powerful card, the GeForce GTX 950 WINDFORCE Edition from GIGABYTE, didn't fit into my case (by the way, I'm using a Dell OptiPlex 780), I decided to go for this card, knowing it was low-profile, not power hungry and it would serve my needs for either 720p High/Ultra or 1080p Medium gaming, even with my current processor (Core 2 Duo E8400). To my dismay, what I had foresaw to be the end result actually did happen - the second half of the dual slot bracket (for the, in my opinion, largely unnecessary vent bracket) was interfering with the motherboard of my system, leaving me unable to slot it in. Can someone help me find a single slot full height bracket that includes (from left to right) HDMI, DisplayPort and DVI? (Or, failing that, I can deal with VGA, HDMI and DVI bracket, I'm not a picky person. I just want this to work.) Thanks for the help, guys!~ ^^ -

Hi All, Not sure if you will find this useful, but thought I'd share anyway. Currently planning a build where I wanted to mount an EK Xtop D5 horizontally to an acrylic panel i'm creating. I couldn't find a bracket that did this, so thought i'd just make one myself. Using Tinkercad I came up with this: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/aBALrMXiLCv-ekd5pwmmount It's designed to fit snug around the rubber surround EK provides with the XTop. It can be secured with M4 bolts. I created a 8mm countersunk hole allowing you to hide bolt head and nuts. The mount can be used either way, but I designed it so the thicker piece is at the base. Any questions, just ask. Hope someone finds it helpful.

I need this to be able to use my 280mm Aio on my new 3700X. I have been in contact with Coolermaster and they cant help. Every store that will send to Norway are out of stock. I can find it in South Africa and Australia, but they wont send to me. So, do any of you have or know about where to get this stupid little part?

I am having trouble finding this am4 upgrade for the hyper 212 Evo. I was only either able to find the UK cooler master listing, UK/ EU listing on amazon old style of bracket or the odd eBay listing. Does anybody know of a mainstream website that 2 day shipping doesn't cost a ton.
